UI, is not really beauty, but it fits the bill. Only Germany for now.. Overall, it looks bad in every way but it is simple practically. Why would you buy this Simulator?.. Simple, this Software is used to train Real Train Drivers in Germany. The drive and brake physics are good, German Signalling / Safety Systems is pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forget Dovetail games. If its a simulator you want and not a game, this is for you! Train Simulator and TSW are like watching nice scenery on the TV. You don't have to concentrate much, as it almost impossible to drive without using the HUD display which makes it all too easy. Zusi is in another league. You have to concentrate and follow all the rules of German signalling rigorously. It is great fun once you get the hang of it. Also, the physics of the train driving are much closer to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't mistake my low hours in this game as inexperience in it by any measure of the imagination. I've played this game for nearing about 100 hours. Or, well, "game." This isn't really a game per se. There's no real score. The environments look like flat-pack boxes carved out of the ruins of Microsoft Train Simulator. There's no shadows, for God's sakes. But, in the words of David Gilmour, ♥♥♥♥ all that, we've gotta get on with this: this, and I mean this most sincerely, with several thousand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zusi 3 has gone to the top of my Train Driving sim list. The graphics and UI may not be the best, but they don't need to be in a simulator with this much depth. The driving feel of the trains, the depth of systems and the excellent sounds means the graphics are more than adequate, in fact they complement the rest of the simulator perfectly. OK, lots of German text here, but an English manual is available. The tools supplied with Zusi 3 have German manuals, but an hour using Google…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m sorry that this sim is in my opinion ,not ready for the steam market.i will be honest I’m not computer literate and was hoping the sim would be easier to use.I tried several times installing and re installing thinking that was the problem ,The problem was me.I would like to say Aerosoft and Steam were patient and very helpful,I just wish it was more user friendly.please don’t let this comment put you off purchasing zusi 3 I cannot comment on the actual game play,I couldn’t get it to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ZUSI 3 is not for the casual gamer. It is a comprehensive simulation which realistically portrays the Deutsche Bahn network as it is today, with many functional services and routes. The trains, while having 2D cabs, have extremely realistic sounds and physics. The security systems and their relevant simulations go hand in hand and are also extremely realistic, which I appreciate. The routes are true to life, so are the services. Graphics are not the best - but, as before - it is not for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been a train simulator fan for over 20 something years. I can say that this Steam version of Zusi 3 is the corrupted version. I regret I bought this game. I am very disappointed with it. The game is buggy and in confusion. Do not buy it. 1. It is not possible to replay a scenario or timetable without fully quitting the game. Each time I attempt to replay a timetable I completed an error box displays with an error message in German and the game crashes so badly that in order to recover,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is everything I have wished for while trying to play Train Simulator in a realistic way. It's the OMSI of train sims, a 32 bit marvel of German engineering which may be obsolete but makes more technically advanced titles feel arcadish. I'm a type of Train Sim player who tries to search for real life documentation of the tracks and drive without HUD. I can tell you it's barely possible. Real life data (like speed limits) can differ but most importantly, you can only drive through the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a simulator and not a game. It models all aspects of driving a train with unparalleled accuracy but has no focus on graphics. For people interested in tinkering with electronics, it is also possible to hook up self-built hardware controllers. The game accepts joystick input, which a few microcontrollers can emulate and spits out all data about the simulation via a raw TCP server.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have over 10 hours on the simulation now and really enjoy it. The train dynamics seem good and though the graphics are not great they suffice. The most important things is driving the train and that is challenging and fun. Definitely one of my new favorite train simulators. As for the language difficulty, the manual is good and is in English. I don't speak German but have had no trouble figuring out the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The real train sim nerdout starts here. Advantages: - Incredible depth of simulation, not just for a train sim but for a simulation game in general - High degree of realism - Tons of content added over the years for no additional cost, where competitors nickle and dime you for every route and loco Disadvantages: - Graphics aren't great while also having fairly low FPS - Pretty much limited to German trains - English documentation is probably not the greatest
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a simulator, the game is very good. It has carried out a very detailed simulation of the signal and safety system of Deutsche Bahn. Compared with the DTG game, it is really much better by having no BUGS at every turn. But there is ONE thing to be aware of : Regardless of picture quality , obviously this picture is not suitable for gamers who desire picture quality , the game interaction method is also very different from the DTG series, when you move the mouse pointer near the interactive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are willing to learn and like German trains, this is definitely the game for you. Just get ready to learn about all the German systems and everything like that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, this - this is the real deal. A sim engine used by DB to train their drivers made available to us mortals. It's a true, hardcore simulator with correct signalling, (mostly) real routes and unforgiving safety systems. The english manual is great, although if you want to get additional information you'll have to learn some German. The graphics are simple but clean, and can be pretty from time to time. Cabins are 2D, made from real pictures - some are low-res, but the dev is constantly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics is not the best, but everything else is very realistic! Controls and driving experience is really good. It includes many routes and trains and you don't need to buy any DLCs. Deutsche Bahn (DB) uses it for training of real drivers, so that says enough. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a realistic train simulator. It's really worth the €50.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zusi 3 is a Train Simulator of German railways that distinguishes itself with very realistic physics, systems and signaling. It is very realistic. So realistic in fact, that several German railway companies use it as a training aid and, in my opinion, absolutely not suited to people new to the genre. Even those that know Train Simulators well ought to have a good think about whether Zusi 3 is the right choice. Here’s why: Realism Zusi is about as real as it gets on a desktop PC. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily the best train simulator you can get, beats anything Dovetail Games can make to a pulp. Don't be fooled by the primitive graphics, the simulation of the safety systems, signalling, and trains themselves will absolutely blow you away. The learning curve is quite steep but everything will fall into place as you drive more and more. The experience from nearly every drive I've done has been unique and engaging If the price tag on Steam is too high for you, there'll probably be keys of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has some issues under linux (the in-cab-displays only work partially), minor bugs exist, but it's by far the best game to learn train driving for germany
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I finally caved in and bought Zusi 3 again, after having previously purchased and refunded on getting seemingly stuck at the starting screen. This time things are going much better, helped by watching a couple of YT Tutorial videos. It’s not a cheap investment at @£58 but on balance that’s only the price of 2 x DTG route DLC’s In return you get a package of 100’s of km of route, many different German traction types and rolling stock with full timetable for the day or part of the day. It’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This truly is a simulation game. If you really want to get lost in the operating german trains and all that comes with it. This is the Simulator that you have to go to. I have been involved in Open Rails for the last few years. Zusi 3 is a propper step further into simulation of trains. All we need now is to expand this to other countries and continents. I would love to see routes from other countries... How far is this from reality, i don't really know.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Single best Train Simulator on the market. Yes it's expensive and looks like it came from the XP era, it is really good in its simulation aspect. Despite its old looks it does have very modern rolling stock! Definitely not for beginners, get familiar with the PZB train control system first, then jump in.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deeply simulated systems and great realism. I'd call it the OMSI of rail simulation both in regards of graphics, but also in terms of system simulation. The quantity included content is also extremely large and there's always different route types, whether it is high-speed routes, or a cozy single track route. I'd say the only downside is the price, but it's definately more reasonable than "games" like Train Simulator or TSW when taking into account the quality and quantity where the same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Das Spiel macht sehr viel Spaß, vor allem, wenn man realistisch fahren will.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very great game. First simulator ever to include ETCS. Thank you Carsten.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best Simulator available for people interested in german routes. "Train Simulator" & "TSW" by DTG are nice but often buggy and expensive (DLCs). If you want a real simulation of german rail then you need Zusi 3. The graphics are sharp and look realistic but are not as "fancy" as in other Train "Simulators". Performance is great even if you use a older PC. Personally, i prefer the Zusi 3 graphics since they look sharper and the performance is great even if you have a old system. Future…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I agree with all the comment's made so far.I am quite impressed. One thing that is annoying me,is how to operate the doors,Release/Open/Close.I keep getting penalised in the end of game evaluation.Would appreciate any guidance on what keys to press,as the manual is quite vague.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Usual Aerosoft environment, not much in terms of graphics. However, the detailing is amazing. You get a lot of routes, a lot of locomotives/trains (electric, diesel, shunter, EMU, DMU, cab car etc.) going back as far as 1957. The interior quality is a bit hit or miss, the basic ones are 2D, some with no side, or closer view. There are some which are 3D (I think), and those ones are good. With ZusiDisplay, the interior screens (speedo, timetable etc.) are interactive. The usual German safety…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to drive a German train and you love PZB then this is the game (simulator) for you. If you want to dabble in the simulator then pick a DB BR 101 train as it has everything you need (Ebula screen, AFB, LZB, Easier door control). If you want absolute pretty graphics then go elsewhere!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game. I really did. Unfortunately I just could not get it to work. The English version of the instructions is pretty basic and in some areas about as clear as mud. The user interface isn't particularly intuitive either. When I tried to select a timetable as per the instructions, nothing happened. I just got an error message about .net 3.5 not being installed, when it was. The display I got bore no relations to the instructions. English information on forums…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games for serious german rail simming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite a special one - it looks awful, yes, even worse than Microsoft Train Simulator, BUT it is by far the most realistic train simulator out there - full stop. You don't get that "real" sense of driving a train in any other train sim, you gotta give this one a try. I really like it, although I must honestly admit that I am missing Train Sim World graphics quite a lot, but other than the graphic side, this game is a must for every realistic simulator enthusiast! 8,5 / 10 (bad…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The biggest thing I dislike about this game so far is that I can't read German, and I can't find where to switch it to English. I just purchased the game so I can't say too much about the rest of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is not a typical game it is real simulator. There are three options for level of difficulty. If you want to feel as a real train driver its the best game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very complex and seemingly accurate simulation of the railways in Germany. Zwangsbremsung!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This. It is the best train simulation game I ever played. Pros: - Heavily detailed security mechanisms (Indusi PZB and LZB modelled perfectly, AFB, etc.), - Supports any DirectX recognized joystick/throttle/button thing, so it is a great immersion (i'm using Logitehc Flight Throttle Quadrant https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/products/flight/flight-simulator-throttle-quadrant.html ), - ZusiDisplay: if you have a multimonitor setup, use one screen as primary, and start as many ZusiDisplay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely incredible simulator, even as a British person
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics are overrated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Delightful game for the aspiring Triebfahrzeugführer. You will drive, accelerate and brake, miss some minor signal and weep as you watch the pressure vanish from your pneumatic lines, while the board computer screams hellish fury at you. One does not learn to drive trains with this simulator until you learn how to operate its file system and archaic menus reminiscent of Windows 98 Simulation Software - and we wouldn't have it any other way. Get a good look at the daily life of a train driver,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very realistic steering, only the graphics are not too realistic, but thats completely fine
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alwin Meschede 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ich mag Zügeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :DDDDDDD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I 100% recommend this game! This game is for real experts, who has high expectations. But first of all this is not TSW. There is no fancy graphics, you can't get out of the cab (just a 2D cab), there is no interior at all, BUT! You have the bes train physics, completely working train protection systems, and most importantly (for me): Completely accurate REAL sounds on every train. My favourite train the Stadler Flirt 2 ( in this game: 428 Eurobahn) is a masterpiece. Compared to what Rivet…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a bit expensive, but all the scenarios are really good, everything in this game is perfect. All systems such as ETCS, PZB or LZB. All the reviews I see about this simulator say that it is hard to learn, and that it does not have a tutorial. Yes the game is advanced, but you can turn on features to make it easier, also the guide is in the demo version as well as on steam in English. The graphics are like that of OMSI or OpenRails, but all the systems I mentioned above balance it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A top notch simulator for those not hung up on eye candy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TS vs TSW vs ZUSI There are not many train simulators games around so if you choosed to play this kind of game, you got 2-3 choices. Train Simulator 2021 (TS), Train Simulator World 2 (TSW) and ZUSI3. Basically, TS and TSW provides you with bit better graphics and many railways localisations around the World. ZUSI on other hand provides you with accurate realistic driving that you cant get anywhere else, but with only German railway localization. For my part ZUSI 3 is the best, but if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →coca cola is too much!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the best train simulation around. Much more of a focus on the operation and simulation itself than any pretty graphics, but an engaging experience nonetheless. The learning curve is steep, but can all be worked out quickly enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To get one thing cleared - this game is not for eye candy. However, it does everything else excellently. One of the few train simulators which is worthy of being called a simulator. Sounds and physics are nailed. Quite a steep learning curve - which makes things very interesting. Would totally recommend if you love German trains.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been a fan of Zusi since Zusi 2. The simulator had terrible graphics but already featured a rather good driving simulation experience, especially in contrast to most of the games existing back then. Zusi 3 now offers the real driving simulation with much prettier / eye-candy graphics. There's one thing to consider when buying this: This isn't a "game", it is a simulator. It is not intended to fly around maps and take screenshots, it is dedicated mostly to driving, even if it does allow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Als angehender zug führer einfach super
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you're interested in actual train simulator with with proper train functionality and your focus isn't graphics then this is it. It's amazing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the best train simulator I've played with very little competition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Installed this today after buying it a while ago. It installed a dodgy version of .NET and old directX that has broken my PC. Best thing is windows restore can't get rid of it. Great. Looks like I am rebuilding my PC.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most realistic and in-depth simulator for German railways. Do not get put off by the simplistic graphics, as the simulation alone makes up for it all. Even still, I find the graphics to be adequate, as all of the important 3D detailing is present.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The definitive train simulator!
