Additionally, I don't know and couldn't understand how it received such a low score on Metacritic. Instead of 58, it definitely deserves a score between 65 and 75. After WRC 4, it felt like a breath of fresh air XD. Gameplay and Mechanics The gameplay is completely arcade. It is not a pure simulation, but the mechanics are quite enjoyable. It is reminiscent of…

I would recommend this game to the ones that have little experience on rally games as it's very organic yet difficult enough to challenge your skills without losing fun. I always loved the sound engine of this game and it was my favorite rally game for a long period of time (not just 3 hours). You don't need a wheel and pedals to play it, but this game was the one that made me bought one long time ago. V-Rally; WRC 9 and up; WRC EA and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, if you're having trouble getting a controller to work go into the game properties select "Controller" then select "Enable Steam Input" on "Override for V-Rally 4." I couldn't find this info anywhere else so I hope this helps a couple people that want to enjoy this game with controller.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you don't have a steering wheel, or DiRT Rally series is too complex for you but you still want to play a rally game, try this one. I was prepared for disappointment after reading some of the negative reviews before playing but it was much better than I thought it would be. I've never played before any games from V-Rally series so I can't tell how it compares to previous entries in the series. The game has very arcade-like steering, nice sharp graphics, decent map and car variety and enough…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is still look pretty and play really nice, but the online part is not working sadly as the servers are down, so you can't 100% it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Input lag is HORRIBLE The game expects instant reaction, but it's impossible Very hard to enjoy such an experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →V-Rally 4 is better than what i thought it would be because of the reivews score arent that high but its the only Rally game thats still availble that feels like DiRT1/2/3 if you looking for a game like that: Pros: + good and memorable car list: 51 (some cars that you dont see offten in racing games) + 5 game modes all are fun: Rally, Rally Rush, Hillclimb, Exrteme Khana and Rallycross + good arcade driving physics (a little bit more on the slippy side it also depends on which car you use some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The economy is dead. There is never enough money for anything. Pay to participate in the race, pay for repairs between races, pay your team every week. As a result, having won in some semi-final for 35k dollars, you get a maximum of 20k (if the difficulty is not lowered, money is also withdrawn for this). And you still need to buy new cars and upgrade them somehow. There are contracts, but they either pay 2 pennies, or the condition is extremely hard and long to complete. Sometimes you still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 8 hours I put into the game, I realized that this game has "Dynamic AI". You can't beat championship if your previous play has great result. You either abuse AI Difficulty or do a perfect stage every single time. Frustrating, of course, but the graphic is good
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into V-Rally 4 expecting a 4/10 and got a 6/10. It's like DiRT 3 but slightly worse in almost every way. It's thankfully not live service garbage like later games from this developer & publisher. Pick it up if you like arcade rally games. If DiRT 2 or 3 were still on Steam, I would recommend you get those instead, but they're not. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't play much but the soundtrack is ATROCIOUS whoever was responsible for the soundtrack should never be allowed near sound design again in their life. my god it's just terrible. actually ruined the game for me some annoying lady keeps narrating the menus and you can't do anything until she shuts up. the game doesn't seem to autosave very often, so if you accidentally back out to the main menu, you have to listen to that narrator repeat the same stuff over and over again. such bad game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! It so underrated. I played DiRT 2.0 for nearly 200 hours this past year. and discovered V rally 4 on Youtube the other day. For $2.99. So I checked it out. This game is one of the best rally games I have played. The physics are great. Playing with a Moza R12 on max. Zero problems with key binding (like in WRC that is a nightmare). Let me tell you. This is a workout. No JOKE! The handling is amazing on par with Dirt 2.0; better than the WRC games even though…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a number of other users have pointed out - it's not that it is a bad game, it's just that it's flaws far outweigh the positiives. The game itself is very beautiful, even in 2023 it has amazing scenery, lighting, and the maps itself are very well made and with beautiful vistas. The car selection itself offers numerous options, from classics like the Renault Alpine or the Opel Manta, to the new beasts like the WRX cars of Volkswagen or Ford. Now, on to the negatives - practically everything…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very poor optimisation for PC. Stutters like crazy on a strong system.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A rally game with a progression so bad...you'd wish I was joking! Let me introduce you to the element of RNG. Every championship you finish will have a chance to show you certain limited number of championships that may or may not have your next cup you are looking for! Isn't that lovely?? I hate how many filler championships I had to do to finally get the final one to show for me...I absolutely despise this model. Despite that, & the fact that the game has 2 songs on repeat. I am still…

If you have difficulties in the walktrough, this guide will be very useful: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561496240 V-Rally 4 really gives you the feeling that it’s one of KT Racing’s biggest flops. It’s hard to imagine how it could have been worse, and as a result, we ended up with a total motorsport mess where it’s tricky to tell what the developers were even aiming for. Surprisingly, V-Rally 4 avoids being…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i almost refunded this game 3 times, first my controller wouldnt work, found had to map them manually in game setting, then my car was sliding around like a lunatic, found i had to buy a better car and switch the car settings for the right ground surface, then the graphics looked awful foggy and washed out, found shader reshade fixed that. 3 hours in i ended up loving it, great career mode, great course selection and tracks, is like a rally version of GRID.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short: ...Get GRAVEL if you want a fun, competent (semi-)arcade Off-Road experience. V-Rally 4 is one of the worst off-road arcade racing game I played. I even refunded. No joke. 1.5/5 - Just read the my long version review. Long: The physics is REALLY bad. They went to an arcade approach and somehow failed badly... It doesn't feel like I'm driving oin dirt but either on snow or on oil. The game also suffers from the stupidest game decision I have no idea how it got approved. You can't even…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Installed, unplayable/buggy controls, searched but found no solution, uninstalled.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I owned and extensively played the original V-Rally on Playstation when it first appeared, loved it. This though... It's trying too hard to appeal to both Sim and Arcade fans, but I'm sorry to say it fails on both counts. The controls are way too twitchy for either and seemingly there's no way of altering sensitivity, or rebinding controls for that matter. It became very annoying, very quickly and a game should be fun. This just isn't in my opinion.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a simcade made for playing with a gamepad, it looks and sounds very good, and it really still has the satisfying V-Rally gameplay that some people love and even prefer over realistic rally simulations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game. It's a AA simcade, so set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool rally game which looks and sounds the part. The music is crap as others have pointed out, but you can at least turn the vocals off (never seen that option before, they KNEW it was bad). My biggest gripe, and the reason I can't recommend the game is the AI. Splits often make absolutely no sense. You could be 5 seconds ahead of the pack on split one, race alright and somehow be 20 seconds behind by split two. It makes no sense, and doubly so when that section of track is like 40 seconds…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun on controller, unplayable on G923. Not because it doesn't work, but because the car performs far too erratically on wheel and there are no FFB or sensitivity settings of any kind, so what you get is what you get. Luckily, I don't really care, I can play it on controller with no complaints. Just a heads up if you are considering this game for wheel play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this got to be the most unenjoyable racing game i ever played its so incredibly mediocre. the physics barely work you so much as look at something the wrong way it will flip your car. half the stages suck, the ai is very inconsistant sometimes you beat em by like a minute then the next race they beat you by 10 seconds. the races in career being pure rng which apears is just bad design. i would highly not recommend this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I raced in Romania and now my car has been stolen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only played about 45 minutes and although I found it a little fun, but from one moment to the next you have fps and lag lows for no reason. I even played it on GeForce Now and the same thing happened. The most tedious thing is the handling (for me) because you try to take a curve and out of nowhere you are already on a cliff because the car wanted to skid. It was fun, but it wasn't :P
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The AI cheats, don't play this game if you don't want to get annoyed about the AI and the insane awful rubberbanding While if you do the same cheating against the AI, you get time penalized. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ absurd Graphics are good Sound is alr Not recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When a game can't even save the settings and you have to swap from Fullscreen Borderless to Fullscreen EVERY TIME YOU START THE GAME, it's beyond pathetic on the dev team's part and gets a thumbs down. The graphics were years behind the time, the career mode was shallow. There isn't much here to like. It's not horrible. It's just there are MUCH better options out there. Buy one of those from competent devs instead of this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the Best Rally Games = V-Rally 4
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Dirt 4 without the barren procedurally generated tracks. If you liked Dirt 4, you'll like this. If you prefer Dirt Rally, you'll probably enjoy this with javascript:DSelectNoop();the assists off and the difficulty at max. If you hated Dirt 4, you're dumb.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey this game is surprisingly fun - for £2 or so wow worth a buy!!!! (i had this game in my unplayed list for some time and saw the DLC discounts and purchased) Let me explain : - This game is a "in-between game".... so if your waiting for that next rally game i.e the next WRC (2027/28) or Asserto Corsa Rally (which will be fully released in about two years) etc. Even so...... :)) Please give this game a chance and whilst at it grab yourself a booster pack, this game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is so far my favorite rally game. I played with controller and wheel and its great on both. I've played Dirt 3, Dirt rally 2.0, ACR, and RBR. Thank you devs for this awesome game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Annoying. Terrible yank voices, even the "British" co driver sounds like a yank. No mph only kph. Difficulty seems all over the place, some events are piss easy then some are randomly super hard. Glad I only paid £2.49 for it but I would rather have the 20gb space on my drive now so am uninstalling. I at least got a few hours out of it before giving up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good, but it´s unplayable with the wheel, even after adjusting rotation on the Logitech software. I recommend it, only if you like to play with a controller.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most important fact up front, the game crashed frequently on my laptop at random, which causes you to skip the current event that you are on if it happens in the middle of a race. This is a bad design decision made worse by a persistent technical issue. If the game just made me restart the race that I was on when the crash happens, I could maybe accept it as "It is what it is", but it instead skips to the next race, making most of the championship event unwinnable if it happens. The glitch…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I did enjoy this game for the most part, the game is absolutely not worth 30 dollars. The driving model is all over the place, with lots of easy launching and the car flipping 5 times in the air (which i got an achievement out of) all from only hitting a rock. Yes, a rock. The visuals are very good, even better than the WRC games KT was making at the time. My absolute biggest issue though is the music, or the lack thereof. There is one song... one horrible song that plays looped... and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm confused by the babies on here complaining about the physics.... They are the same as WRC 8/9... I am starting to think a lot of people that are in the racing genre or at least into Rally games simply suck at racing games and try to find the blame on something that doesn't exist. Physics aside the game is decent, playable, fun. As someone's who's all around. From Gran Turismo, Forza, Wreckfest, NFS, Burnout, the PS1/PS2 era of racing to the stuff from Grid, and now all these Wrc games and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[2026 Update: I still play boot this up on the big screen weekly for the procedural rallies. Over 200h played across PS5 and now PC.] 100% This has hooked me for 160+ hours across PS5 and now PC. Its stand out feature is the randomization of track layouts that along with its large rally locales ensure endless novelty. No kidding, 160 hours and it's so long between playing particular routes again that you've already forgotten about them. I'm talking days or weeks between repeating the exact same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've raced only 3 tracks and 4 cars, but I can already tell - this game suxxx Another rally game where physics is fake and cars just slide without any reason :( I drive an FWD Xara kit car and I'm starting to slide on very long wide corner while driving 80km/h on TARMAC! LOL I've been driving cars on and off road in real life, and basic Dacia Duster (which is just a simple work car, not rally by any stretch of imagination) can take corners better than any car in this game. Maybe next time…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, really! I'm a sucker for rally and this scratches a brand new itch in my brain never before discovered. The handling, while so slippery you would've thought they rebooted the sega rally games and tried to make them "simcade", is really fun to learn and master. The campaign of actually buying cars and upgrading them over time as you progress isn't something I see in games like this, so it's totally welcome. All stages I've driven thus far are pretty good, though the rallycross stages…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating 4/10 Intro A potentially good rally racing game, marred entirely by opponents that can't decide on how challenging they want to be. This isn't the definitive V-Rally title I was hoping for. Play Dirt 1, 2 and 3 instead. Positives + Good driving controls. + Good game mode variety. + Great aesthetics and graphics. + Cosmetic vehicle customization. + Team management has a purpose now. Which it didn't in V-Rally 3. + Great vehicle variety. Ranging from types such as Hill Climb, Buggy,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a perfectly good rally racing game. I especialy liked the japan stages, I haven't seen such dense, narrow and thrilling tracks in other rally games I have played. It runs and looks good. The music is passable. Hower I would recomend buying only on sale, as 30€ feels a bit much for whats offered.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels way better than WRC series. Good job KT racing. i'd like to see more of this.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recently picked up V-Rally 4 for cheap (got it on sale) and honestly — for the price I paid, I was really impressed. Visually, the game looks amazing. The environments are super detailed, especially the rally stages with forests, mountains, and snow. Some of the lighting effects surprised me — way better than I expected from an older game. Gameplay-wise, it’s definitely more on the arcade side and mixed with simulation elements. Not super realistic like DiRT Rally, but it’s fun. Some cars…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its fun and addicting for the first week then it gets more boring until like me o havent played this game for like a year, so it was fun again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely ♥♥♥♥ game. Car behaves NOTHING like a real car would. Avoid pain and frustration, and avoid this game like plague!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steering with wheel has no fun sadly... Nothing compared to older V Rally games sadly. Disapointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fifteen hours into the game, here's my current opinion: The game itself has arcadey controls with a touch of simulation. It's not as realistic as DiRT Rally, but it feels a bit like DiRT 4 or DiRT 3, only easier. However, since this is V-Rally, you can't really compare it to other series because it has its own characteristics. Pros: -Easy to pick up with not-too-intense gameplay -Easy to master vehicle handling -Beautiful scenery (Japan holds a special place for me) -Decent graphics…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what I looking for. An "easy" to play rally games, at least compare to Dirt which is I love that game too. Its remind me on PS1 days when I love V-Rally because more easier than CMR, which is I love that too. Other is random map generator form V-Rally 2 is back! I really love this feature. Get this game on 90%. Really worth for it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →disappointed, gravel feels like ice, AI is "dynamic" (you will win 2 events with +30 seconds of difference and then get wipped out in the championship, specially on v-rally discipline, it's almost immposible sometimes), and also it's full of random crashes on the career menu, wouldn't recomend if you are looking to play alone (neither online multiplayer, servers closed), it can be fun on splitscreen but that's it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only reason i'm giving it a thumbs up is because i got it in sale at 80% off, which is the only way i would recommend to purchase this game. The game isn't really bad, but it's not good either. As someone who loved V-Rally 2 and 3 this doesn't hit that note. Career mode is very meh, would compare it to Dirt 4's. The physics are kinda weird to get used to but not awful. Also that sun glare is dreadful
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great handling, great graphics and lots of beautiful landscapes to race in!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a fun rally game, ffb needs to be dialed in and servers are officially dead so get this for cheap and dont expect to see any updates. Still fun for cheap and graphics are nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →vroom vroom yes yes good game, but also frustrating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth your time, bad handling with bad graphics.
