positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite being 10 years old, this game aged like fine wine. It's pretty much the same as its [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/lordmartin5531/recommended/458770]successor but less buggier.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than WRC 4? Yes, better than Dirt:Rally? Never. If you don't want to learn the learning curve of DiRT Rally then you will probably enjoy this one as it's really easy to get the hang of it. When it comes to performance, don't expect CM quality either, it's buggy here and there. I didn't like the sound either. It does have some cool online challenges with physical prices and a year long challenge that runs along the 2016 WRC season. I'll most likely play online for a couple of weeks, get…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WRC 5 is the worst rally game I’ve ever played. The physics are poor, the handling feels unrealistic, and there’s just no satisfying driving feel. Compared to WRC 4, this is a clear downgrade in almost every way. One of the biggest issues is the complete lack of speed sensation. Even when you're supposedly going fast, it feels like you're crawling. This really kills the excitement and immersion a rally game should offer. If you find WRC 5 on sale for 0.99 euros, it might seem like a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit of a steal on sale for cheapos like me. Got buyer's remorse after, when I started my first rally. Handling was garbage and got a bit frustrating to play. It's one of those titles you binge on for a couple of hours, get your Steam achievements and then uninstall and forget for a few years.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an absolute mess. Horrible physics, handling and feel. Graphics are worse than I expected. Wrc 4 is definitely a better buy. Well hey, at least this runs great! I constantly got over 300+ fps with a 4060 laptop.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WRC5 AI is a mirage Inferior to its predecessor WRC4. i see aspects that don't compare positively to WRC4. Physics are far too basic to be acceptable in a rally game. The interaction between the car, the environment and the map geometry is very arcade-like, vehicles feel light, handling is smooth with a lot of grip. However, my main issue and why i wouldn't recommend this in good conscience, is AI difficulty. . Settings don't affect the AI noticeably. Even on the highest…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →93) WRC 5: FIA World Rally Championship I like playing WRC 5, but I don’t *like* WRC 5. The handling model’s fun in a forgiving way, but the career and presentation are half-baked and the awful co-driver needs to be killed instantly. I probably did not need to play this in 2025, but alas
unlabelledView post →WRC 5, developed by KT Racing and published by Nacon, marked a turning point for the long-running World Rally Championship video game series. It was the first entry developed by KT Racing after the license changed hands from Milestone, and it served as a new beginning built on a different engine and philosophy. Released in 2015, WRC 5 aimed to reestablish the official rally brand as a serious yet accessible motorsport experience, one that captured the intensity, unpredictability, and precision…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having come from games like Dirt Rally and Richard Burns Rally, I must say that this game has the worst pace notes I've ever had to listen to. Co-driver keeps saying into/onto, which sounds a lot like left-2/right-2. In addition, they keep saying "for" before the corner (or maybe fore?) which sounds just like four. It adds nothing but confusion. This is the only game I've raced in where I need to read the pace notes on screen. There's a few other phrases that I haven't managed to translate…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another clinically basic licensed WRC-game... To be fair, the arcade-y physics are actually quite good and the graphics are also quite nice, much better than the next game (WRC6), which is weird. These things together mean that moment-to-moment gameplay experience is mostly okay enough to use as a background game for podcasts etc. HOWEVER, as a game, this one may well be the most useless in the series. This is mostly due to one factor: Opponent stage times are not simulated in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL:DR For the first wrc made by KT racing, this game does some things better and a lot of things worse than the later entries. Overall though I think this game is pretty mid. Not exactly bad, but I don't feel like the game deserves a positive rating. I'd only recommend playing if you can get the game for dirt cheap like $2 or less. The handling imo is decent and I like the handling model more than the later wrc games made by KT Racing. The cars' physics overall though can be kind of jank.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to WRC 4, WRC 5 offers a similar but noticeably more polished experience that I’d fully recommend over its predecessor. Technically, the game ran well on my modern system without any major bugs. The only issue I encountered was a launch error stating that my system doesn’t support DirectX 9—this was easily resolved by selecting the option “Play WRC 5 in DirectX 11.” The physics feel much more believable now. Cars exhibit some body roll and no longer behave like flat flounders glued to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are other rally games out there with more 'secondary' content (WRC 8+, DiRT and DR2.0), with more of a high-octane approach, and with a more attention-demanding (per se) handling system. WRC 5 is, by comparison, pretty simplistic. You have a good amount of tracks, a reasonable amount of WRC-1 and WRC-2 cars (and the lone DS3 R3T for Junior WRC), and the basic fixed goal of Winning As Much As You Can. That's it. There's a team morale system of some sort, I guess, but it just kinda exists…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just became the champion of muddy tracks, where every turn feels like a comedic quest. The adrenaline rush and jokes about speed make it unforgettable!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are looking for a game where you can compete with others in a rally race and feel the handling of the car then it's not the game you should look for. Even though I bought it for peanuts. Its physics are pretty bad. They can be compared to NFS. There is also another problem: the dictor can keep up with a fast pace. Sometimes he locks on the turn you've already passed and not locks on the next one, despite he can do his job well but it often seems impossible for him. Nevertheless, it…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic, this WRC game has the perfect balance between fun and realism. Just mind that the difficulty can only be changed from the settings in the main menu, it took me a while to find it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WRC 5 was developed by KT Racing and released in 2015. Covering the 2015 WRC, WRC2, and WRC Junior seasons, this game offers one hell of a dive into the world of rally racing, with thrilling races across 13 countries. The career mode in WRC 5 puts you in the driver’s seat as a rookie, chaining contracts to climb the ranks, from WRC Junior through WRC2 to the prestigious WRC. After a few stages, a break at the Motorhome lets you tweak your car’s settings (tires, suspension, transmission,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Within 2 corners I could tell the driving mechanics are GOD AWFUL!!! No wonder the game is on sale for 99c, if you want a good Rally game I would suggest Dirt 4 or Dirt Rally 2.0 I drive on simulation and it felt like I was playing need for speed, if this game was more then 99c OML I WOULD REFUND, it is not worth more then that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No idea why this one has so many negative reviews, i think it's perfectly fine, even if it's the most forgettable of the WRC games I've played yet. The only complaints I have: the third person cam is awful, stick with the cockpit view. It's not the prettiest game, not as bad as 8, but still
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After putting hours on Wrc 4 I can understand why people don't like this game. The game mechanics/physics are different they aren't terrible but they aren't good either. While Wrc 4 is more focused on brake to acceleration or the other way around, here the game heavily relies on you using the handbrake. Which isn't bad but again because of the games physics it just doesn't feel so right like it did with Wrc using the regular brake when turning in corners. Wrc 4 felt arcade like, here it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok but it gets repetitive REAL fast. I would rather play other Dirt games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, does WRC 5 improve on WRC 4? A bit. Mostly in that clicking PLAY in Steam opens the game, not a launcher for the game as in 4. But it's still not a very good game. There are 3 main issues that are atrocious. 1. Fog racing. The tracks have more fog than the PS1 Silent Hills. Yes, this is what I want. To drive on a gray screen where I can't see a damn thing. Does no one playtest this stuff? It's not fun. 2. Night racing. In theory this should be a plus. But it isn't. Back when I was 14,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WRC 5 is a new beginning for the series, and when viewed in that light, Kylotonn’s efforts come out quite well. There’s several issues, both big and small that detract from the game as a whole, but underneath it all there’s a rallying game that’s just a good bit of fun. When it’s just you and your co-pilot racing through a forest, barely making it through a series of tight twists and turns, that’s really what matter. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3329598495

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played for a while and what can I say... The game looks good, feels the same and in general, it pleasant. But Im a child of the 2000s and I lived and grew up on the fast and furious movies and EA games, namely the need for speed. And I didnt like the game because I didnt have that "need for speed" hahahaah. I recommend it only because of the very good graphics and realistic controls. Buy it only with a discount!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excuse me, why does my car get damaged between the stages of the same day?! Does the guy who transports my car get drunk and somehow bricks my brakes & tyres?? I am not joking. I finish the stages with no damage for those but starting the next one, I have lost 33% of my tyres & brakes health and it WILL affect how you will drive, despite it not being your fault. Also, you cannot genuinely tell me to my face that the AI is not rigged to ALWAYS be 0-2 seconds behind you after the rallies. It…

I have good collection of rally games like dirt 3, dirt 4, DR 1 & 2, and by far WRC 5 somehow defies all of them in terms of physics, handling, and enjoyness in rally racing. YES, this game is 10 years old but it doesn't take away the fun elements in this game. YES, it has bugs (10 years old and bugs like co-driver off pace notes and graphical bugs like stuttering sunrays still exists on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →23.3 hours, 37/37 achievements. WRC 5 didn’t just let me drive — it handed me the keys, buckled my seatbelt, and said “go win something, champ.” It’s not the most explosive WRC entry, but it is the kind of game that slowly hooks you with dust, rain, and that glorious “stage complete” dopamine. No rewinds, no mercy — just you, a co-driver that sounds way too calm, and a car that really wants to slide into a tree. But after every slippery turn, every restart, every “why is this corner…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cheap Rally game, that runs good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really great game, but it doesnt work properly on linux. The gameplay normally goes something like: -notices a corner so starts to slow down -wtf camera angle changed??? -WHY ARENT THE BUTTONS WORKING NOW??? -*pauses the game to reset controls* -ok that should work -CAMERA ANGLE CONTINUES TO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHANGE WHEN YOU PRESS THE LEFT TRIGGER

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is like that friend who really wants to be a professional driver but keeps stalling in the parking lot. It’s got heart, grit, and a love for rally racing—just maybe not the skill-set to back it all the way up the podium. The cars look decent. The mud sprays, the tires squeal, and occasionally, you feel like Sébastien Loeb's long-lost cousin. Then the physics engine reminds you it was coded by someone who once saw a rally on YouTube and said, “Eh, close enough.” The career mode is solid…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The WRC series has a new developer while the game has massive improvement on Visual and Sounds the rest feel like downgrade. The new physics are better but the handling is not. The damage system is extreme 2 special stages and your tires and brakes are dead making days with 3 stages pretty impossible to win. The suspension and bodywork are getting destroyed at the slightest bump/jump. Fortunately enough you can change the damage system to visual only improving the gameplay by a lot. The stages…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WRC5 is an okay game and a good one for 2$ I paid but there are some weird problems. It’s rare to see a game so different in ups and downs from previous one since it’s usually a better game or a worse one but here it’s in the middle. Driving is better and the game set difficulty of driving to pro basically turning off all assists and game difficulty to hard but I changed hard to medium really quick. Hard gives you one restart and one rewind but medium 4 restarts and 5 rewinds so that’s why.…

Logging exactly 285.2 hours here, this entry offers a slightly different, more accessible approach to the world of rally racing. Stage Design & Gameplay Rating: The stages are fun and visually distinct. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most inconsistent game saga ever. And it is beyond any logical explanation why the oldest (technically) installment has the best visual damage of cars and the most detailed plants and scenery? What happened? Who knows hmm But I know, after playing in my scientifically inconsistent "order out of order" I play WRC 5 recently and it has: 1. Good price. 2. Many rallies. 3. Nice damage level 4. Nice throttle sounds 5. Car paints. The issue I dont like but must mention it, shadows…
