My friend and I bought this game specifically to play together, but the servers are down (error 512). This is literally a scam. The description says one thing, while in reality it’s completely different. Be aware that none of the WRC games from KT Racing have working online features, so avoid this series if you’re looking for online gameplay F*ck you devs!

To start though, I treat the WRC games as what they are, a 'series'. Every WRC game since WRC 2 has always varied and had different physics, drive, flow to it, speed, and feel. This has never changed, and has NEVER stayed consistent throughout the series, which is what makes every other WRC interesting. That said, KT Racing, or Kylotonn didn't make very good WRC games.…

WRC 8 have the most complex & distinct car physics that I would assume more comparable to real world rally (as long as you don't encounter bug in the track on your rally run). WRC 7 felt too grounded even when you do hairpin or 90 degree turn, it shouldn't be that way for rally car even if you're on asphalt. Other tracks (or part of the track) look like the game is from early 2010s. Rain falls, tires grip, and time continues. Suddenly, the car briefly ascends into the sky, does three philosophical pirouettes, debates physics with a flying rock, then lands perfectly. Trees remain still. The race continues. The lap time updates. Everything is normal and also completely unstable at the same time on the visible screen.

Instant rewind is available in the last dirt game I played, not in wrc8, you have to start the whole track again if you make a mistake. Easy mode is very easy, you can drive very slowly and incur time penalty and still finish 1st, medium difficulty, make a mistake and you finish last. 3 out of 10 for me

The stages themselves being 10/10 for both art direction, creativity, and drivability. Would highly recommend just playing the season mode. The co-driver will occasional say the wrong voice clip, and sometimes notes will be very, very wrong, but it's not enough of a problem to complain too much about it. There aren't any other goodies like rallycross, but this game does really well at what it does.

But if you are even more of a casual player who just wants some fun, I highly recommend the EASY setting. I used it for achievements and it shocked me how arcade it felt (not in a bad way). It was really just driving and having fun. I also have to thank Jagger4yk for the russian guide he made on the hardest achievement.

Seems they have finally nailed the AI balancing.
