But turns out, managing your sausage rations while commanding a wagon of tiny anarchists through cursed forests is… oddly therapeutic? Combat is tight. Positioning matters. So does resource planning. It’s not just a comedy game - there’s legit strategy here. The variety of cards and interactions surprised me. You’ll fail a few runs early on, but once you learn to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would not recommend at it's current state. The humor is fine, the card game isn't that bad... the two major issues are. 1) The Bird enemy. when you face any encounter that has three birds most of the time you will lose. This is made worse as NORMAL ENCOUNTERS past the second stage can have you face two birds which can then spam the field with 3 birds easily since there are only two enemies... and you have RNG to determine if you have the cards needed to win. 2) The food resource... it…

You have to play like 2 hours for one hero level (you need two levels to improve a f**** statpoint) - that's not fun and who got time for that? A lot of rng too - I really tried to like this game and it has great potential: But seems rushed and i can't recommend at this point
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IMO everything about this game is great, except balance and translation. The balance issues make the game frustrating. The loading screen suggestion of try changing your squad in camp is insulting. You might be 45 minutes into an otherwise successful run and then you randomly hit a group of enemies that have some combination of abilities that your deck can not overcome. Changing your squad literally means starting over and wasting another 45 minutes. Progressing in the campaign means 1)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this based on the free prologue. Got it very cheap too. So I can't be too upset. But I also can't let how little I payed cloud my judgement. I'd rather pay a heftier some for something that's worth my time. Time is more valuable than a few bucks anyway. Time is exactly my complaint. You hit a brick wall very quickly and have to grind an insane amount to be able to punch through it. There's not nearly enough variety here to make replaying missions to upgrade interesting enough. It's a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A terrible game in terms of balance. Example: with each level, all your achievements and level-ups and lives are cancelled, but your opponents don't). As a result, at level 2-3 you have 3-4 attack and your opponents have 30-40! What kind of weirdo, excuse me, came up with this? Another example: you have a 50% chance to dodge, but in the end all the hits on you (I had 6-7 of them) hit their target. Overall, the picture is good, the idea is good, but the execution, to put it mildly, is not very…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a mix of deckbuilding, tactical battles, and dungeon-crawling, with a fairy-tale-gone-wrong theme. Each run, you build your deck while exploring a randomly generated map, collecting resources, and upgrading your wagon. It is enough of a twist to keep it interesting while keeping the meat and potatoes of card battler in place. The uniqueness comes from the exploration part, since rather than nodes (that are present in the story mode), you explore the map with resources (food). It’s sort of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was given this game for free because I'm a streamer *hairflip* - But th is game is super cute and actually fun. I really like the combat I highly suggest it. ITS GREAT!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really enjoying this game, It’s funny, bright but charming. You have a hero gnome (your character archetype) that leads a wagon of gnomes (your deck) that you will move along the map within a traditional Rogue type map but with a twist. You gotta manage your wieners! Yup, you gotta feed those little guys and they consume wieners. So you balance team strength with wiener consumption and that adds an interesting layer of gameplay at the map level. Inside combat you see all the familiar…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are unsure whether the game is worth the price, just a kind reminder there’s still a free prologue of the game on Steam that gives you a taste of the beginning of the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dull card game with major flaws and a very bad campaign mode. In the campaign missions you can't skip adding cards to your deck and you have to pay travel costs based on card value (which is irritating in its own right). You're forced to dilute your deck and then are penalized for doing so. The deck manager is horrible. There's no search option, storage doesn't put returned cards in order so they're all jumbled, the filters are so limited as to be useless, and you can't save decks. Some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They make you lose to get achievements. This is, by itself, is really annoying and a bad choice. The game doesn't quite feel polished enough and has annoying design choices. Other reviews have captured these issues. @BeekerTheCat's review captured it well. I feel like I should have loved it. I generally like the idea/setting, art style, humor, etc. It just didn't keep me hooked the way several other games in the genre have. I still think it would be worth a try if it seems interesting to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i dont know how to really put this into words but the game feels.. unfinished. like, all of the dialogue/exposition in this game is written in plain, flavorless text with no animations, sound effects, or voice acting. often in paragraph form, i should add. despite all of the text you are given to read, multiple basic gameplay mechanics are not very well explained at all (bling, curses). some enemy/card descriptions are also vague, cryptic, or inaccurate. the graphics aren't bad. i don't mind…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo last month and was pretty hyped about this game, it does gameplay mechanics and (most of) the balance right associating slay the spire with pirate outlaws, those being among my favorite card games of all time I can only enjoy what the gnome world has to offer. There's only 2 chapters for now so it's a little short, I feel like my 6-8 hours were enough to clear all the content, but I'll tell you what, I enjoyed what was here and I want more, the last dev post says there will be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Union of Gnomes is a weird mix of cute and rude that speaks right to my taste, I fricking love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underneath the wacky premise (evil Snow White? communist gnomes?) is a deceptively clever deckbuilder that rewards experimentation. Each mission feels different: random events, modifiers, and different bosses that keep you on your toes. The hero-upgrade mechanic is a personal favorite - instead of just unlocking cards, you're building a playstyle just for you. Also, props to the devs for the art style. It’s weird and wonderful. Verdict: Play it if you like your roguelites with a twist of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game does not feel finished and still needs some work But it is lots of fun and that is the most important quality a game needs to have. So if you like roguelike deckbuilders and puzzles, i will definitely recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't like it. Nothing new comparing to other games, but very slow progression. Getting new cards is not so exciting cause they're not better - just different. Level ups for hero taking too much time. So you need to grind a lot and spend a lot of tries getting some specific deck for specific level and also to get enough luck in the fight.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great! I simply adore the art style, it's fun and dynamic, each card is truly unique, you can easily tell if it's an attack card or a master card, without having to double check the description. The story has an interesting spin, taking the well-known fairy tale characters and putting them in a completely new context. In terms of gameplay I appreciate that the progression is challenging enough, to not be too easy, but still ultimately doable. It's really fun to build a powerful…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is so much that i don't like about this game here are the few thought: 1. the deck is fix with 10 card 2, the level up need a lot of grinding 3. if you receive a curse card it will stay in you deck till the end of the deck 4. No skipping card, you have to choice the card or reroll with will cost gold 5. The level up point in some character cost 4 or 6 point to take effect which is two level 6. the talents have no dynamic in it. 7. some of the build just don't work (poison build)

If you’ve ever wondered what a bunch of tiny gnomes could achieve when they join forces... Union of Gnomes has the answer: pure chaos, tons of laughter, and a surprisingly big heart! From the moment you jump into this world, you're surrounded by colorful landscapes, hilarious characters, and missions that range from "mildly ridiculous" to "outrageously epic." Every gnome has their own quirky vibe —…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll say that I enjoy the game. I think the design is nice, humor is good and it has some positives in the card system. However, the food system is horrible... you need food to move or you lose gnome cards out of your deck, but food also allows you to cast your special abilities, which are pretty necessary on some of these fights. They put birds in that have no cap in how many can summon like in other Roguelike Deckbuilders, so unless you get the exact amount of damage with crystals to use…

unlabelledView post →Everything seems to be familiar, but there are also some tricks. Travel across the map between battles with resource control, such as darkest dungeon in the fat-free version. Upgrading your car (dwarf carts) is an interesting variant of the meta progression (in fact, the progression is very conditional, rather these are options for building builds). And the acts here are not fixed as usual, but close to, suddenly, darkest dungeon 2, where they are randomized and you go through them in random…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →needs work for sure. I like the premise, The difficult part is balancing your food with the gnomes. I feel that the starting ten cards is all you need since, RNG can be a pain. I had a run where the only place to get food was at the end. fastest run I ever failed. I feel "mana" is such a weird concept for some cards. like My character is an "archer" yet he cant shoot basic cards with out mana? it seems only melee cards, do not require mana. There are a lot of cards that require Mana, and some…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't click for me. The metagame progression is fine, but the runs themselves aren't too interesting. The UI isn't great, basic QOL is missing, and there are a couple of weird design choices. There are a bunch of different builds possible but these are mostly boilerplate.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"When a Fairytale Adventure Feels More Like a Bedtime Story." At first, I was honestly very intrigued by the premise of Union of Gnomes. A roguelike deckbuilder with a gnome-focused world mixed with fairy tale elements sounded genuinely unique, especially for a genre that often repeats the same dark fantasy or sci-fi themes. The concept and setting immediately caught my attention, and as someone who loves roguelike deckbuilders, I expected this to be something I’d really get into.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, funny bit of a challenge to it, different builds/classes/cards and variety in those very replay able . 37 hours into this, picked it up a lot cheaper on sale £12 isnt terrible for this game but im happier and more comfortable with the sale price i got it for. Ill probably replay this again at some point and looking forward to when i have the urge and time to! I'd recommend keeping this on your wishlist picking it up on sale!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Although the game has some minor bugs and some translation issues, it is a pretty finished state. A game I'd say is ready to get out of early acccess if they fix the small stuff. The game was, at times, even challenging for me. That is, until found a good deck and just blew through the stages as if they were nothing. still. It was nice and 50 hours or so for a game I paid 7 euros for or so is great value
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deckbuilder with soul. Doesn’t waste your time. 1.0 feels packed with content (two modes, a fully fleshed out campaign, over 10 bosses in the roguelite mode, three heroes, well over 100 cards, dozens of enemies, etc.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great little game. fights are fun, upgrades feel meaningful, and the art style is goofy in the best way possible.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pigeons need to eat ♥♥♥♥ and die
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 10 hours, I felt like it was not very interesting or even much fun. The runs felt the same as there really isn't any need to adjust your deck once you get the hand of things. Well, until you hit a wall with some enemy that negates your deck completely thus wasting the entire run. The cards that are unlocked aren't typically any better than the starting set. The "Bling" accessories are only good for the current mission and are used up afterwards. Bling itself is hard to obtain as well.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made some design decisions that I find hard to understand. You start with a deck of 10 gnomes, and then have the ability to add more throughout each run. But the gnomes you start out with are no less powerful then the ones you find along the way, so unlike StS you aren't making your deck stronger by adding new cards; you are just diluting it and pivoting somewhat. Furthermore, you have to pay upkeep for each gnome in your deck. It is a very thematic rule, but mechanically it makes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Something about this game doesn't sit right with me. Parts of it seem random, as if I have little control over anything. Maybe my first impression is wrong, but I don't want to waste any more time on this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Приятная музыка, увлекательный геймплей. Стоит своих 4х сотен рублей
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean.. I can't say I find it that fun. It's a solid game, but the feeling of lack of progression and modifying your deck takes the fun out of the game. At this point, I am just trying not to have anything added to the starter deck... and lack of progression or the excitement of "What is in that next pack", ruins the fun. Sooo... get it or don't... well made, but not the most fun.

unlabelledView post →I almost liked this game. I had trouble on steamdeck reading the cards in certain views - so putting together a deck was hard. The mechanics weren't introduced well - like you can add some bling onto one of your card slots but it is only for that mission. Like I said this was close to something really fun but it just didn't come together for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, but missing something to be a great roguelike. You get a base deck of 10 gnomes and add to it during missions, but you cant decline adding gnomes. There arent many "Combos" that make you feel great about how you built your deck. The other problem that it has is you are almost guaranteed to lose to the boss the first time you face them- because they each have a unique "Thing" you have to counter, and if you dont counter it you will die. An example is the first boss- She gives you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is it worth playing this game?: - The design of the game and the colorfulness of the picture are great. - The same humor as in the entrance in 2004 when playing superhero cards - The gameplay is not violent, but thoughtful, it's not enough just to click on the mouse. - A lot of content, if updates arrive, the game can become endless. I recommend it!
