Torn over how I feel about the silhouette game in the new Tomodachi Life having the same problem as the old game. On one hand, it’s frustrating to be shown a perfect oval and asked which of three meals it is. On the other, there’s something funny about it. That’s a plate asshole

Space Marine 2 dialogue is so funny. Main Game: "I don't trust you, brother!" "Nor do I, brother!" "I distrust you also, brother!" Co-op mode: "Brother! Your hair is so silky smooth. How do you do it?" "Head and shoulders, Brother!" "Oh! Torn from our enemies?" "... Shampoo, brother."

This is the first game I've ever reviewed, and I just feel like I need to tell people about it... This is the most deeply unsatisfying game I've ever played. The only thing that I found mildly amusing about it is that the gameplay seems to revolve around ruining this poor man's house, tossing his crap everywhere, making a huge mess, just to get these little collectibles. The only other positive point is that the game is short. I clocked in at around 5 hours, and I was taking my sweet time…

Excellent game. Maxed all graphic settings and it appears to be very well optimized. This uses an unreal engine that left me in shock because of the Lush greens, old rotted iron, lighting, sharpness looks especially nice, textures are really nice. It has 3 ways to move around from teleportation to locomotion. I highly recommend this game. Voice acting, graphics, controls, are way excellent. Feels like a AAA title. As for game play.....ehehe! I will not say a word. It is very nice.

This game did many things very right, but too many completely wrong. The graphics and environments were fantastic, the story telling was pretty good, and interactions with obects were great. However, the gameplay was extrmetly boring and repetitive. The entire gameplay mechanic that did not change at all was matching highlighted shapes on objects to shapes on the walls. Gameplay was never interesting. Movement was too slow physically and it matched the slow story. I was tired of doing the same…

Torn was Black Isle Studios' final RPG (2001). Taking place in a unique universe, it featured the Lithtech engine for a 3D real time (also for battles) environment, with a world torn by the fight between Order and Chaos. The game was cancelled less than 3 months after being announced.

In all good conscience I can't recocommend this game. The puzzles are wonderful, the graphics fabulous and the story intriguing. But the ending. Oh My God. Not going to spoil it, but when you're faced with realising that an ending of "It was all a dream" would have actually been preferable to the one you got? To the writers - don't pull a swifty like that on someone who has invested 10 hours in the story. It doesn't make you clever, it's just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move.

In this game you play the world's worst Interior Redecorator working for the world's worst Mad Scientist. This is only slightly an overstatement. The puzzles are basically moving items in the room around to the right spots reminiscent of a circuit board. It's an interesting use of the vr controls and encourages some exploration through the small environments, but it's never challenging, never interesting, and always senseless. Gameplay-wise, the game is better as a tech demo and can really only…

https://youtu.be/7EXhyB9Vq74 Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers This is one of those games where the Mixed Review status is well-earned. I bought this game during the Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2019 for $14.99 USD and I actually wanted to stop playing and request a refund after 1 hour of game time. However, I decided to give this game a fair chance and trudge along because we don't get many VR games with a full story with cinematics and voice-acting. My complete playthrough…

Have played like 10 minutes, but I can't understand why there are still developers struggling with smooth locomotion. 1 - It needs to be fast, at least similar to what you cand do teleporting or dashing. It's so slow know that's it enfuriating. 2 - The direction of the movement should follow de direction of the controller, not fixed to the touchpad. 3 - You can't "click" the vive comfortably, so it should be touch to move. I'm thinking about a refund, or maybe just playing with dashed…

Damn this is an interesting game. A lot of the reviewers are being overly harsh in my opinion. The graphics and game environment look awesome, with a very interesting sort of steam punk aesthetic. Pretty much all objects in the game have physics, with even some having cloth physics. You frequently have to move items around as part of the puzzles. The 'gravity tool' that you use to manipulate things can be a little iffy with aiming at times, but it's pretty straightforward to use. Rooms will…

this game basically is about to wreck each room you enter in order to find furniture with parts of circuits on them and match them into a circuit flowing through the room. this is it. while doing that, you will be nagged every 10 - 30 seconds to not forget the key by a glowing light flying around your head. also you will be listening to the thoughts of a morally very questionable woman - who you are playing - and to the stories of a most likely dead man while visiting him who is missing his…

Horrible horrible smooth locomotion.....Hand orientied that is. First, movement is WAYYYY too slow. Like snail pace slow wtf? Second, it's hold touchpad to move when it should be TOUCH to move. The touchpad on the vive is very bad and hard to press, that's why literally every lcomotion based vr game (pavlov, skyrim, fallout, serious sam, onward, etc..) is touch to move. Third, if i'm pressing the upper part of touchpad to move forward, it does BUT, if i point my hand left or right i STILL…

I don't know how i got this game but it does one thing that a VR game should never do, it gives your character a voice. And the most annoying woman who sounds like she never voice acted before is doing it. The puzzles are too simple and the searching for little white dots is too tedious. Most of my time in the game is looking for them and I got stuck when I skipped dialog by accident and couldn't replay it. Now, granted, I am only ~90 minutes into the game, so I will update my review if I encounter something that changes my current opinion. The graphics and physics in Torn are stunning. When I ran my hand through the curtains, I was taken aback at how fluid and natural it seemed - honestly that's my favorite part of the game. The voiceovers are okay. Great music, great audio, and I love throwing stuff around. The socket puzzles are repetitive, but still very satisfying to interact with. The characters are pretty unlikable, but the plot is intriguing, at least until the end where it jam 5 laughable twist endings together and rolls the credits. Despite the terrible ending, I enjoyed most of my time with the game. The mansion looks great and it's awesome how much of it has interactive physics.

Enjoyable game, lots of great enviroments to enjoy, including a few scenes that will make you pause (the garden room is nice). I really liked the paintings and artwork throughout, they made good use of the level of detail available on current gen VR. Only downside would be the puzzles themselves. While fun, they are quite simple when you're accustomed to Talos or Portal. Regardless, time well spent.

Nice looking house with very cool fabric physics...and now the bad news... Here's the gameplay in a nutshell: You go through each room and move objects from one place to another. Where you move objects depends on the simple glowing pattern on the object, and finding the matching pattern on the ground or walls. The analogy is to place the square peg into the square hole, and so forth with every other shape. You literally do this from room to room to room. That's the ENTIRE game. It feels like…

I've finish the game. I would recommend this for the detailed world they created and the story. Both have kept me interested. The puzzles feel about the same all the way through, but the rooms give them variety. They get a little more complicated at the end, but not much more. I was immediately frustrated with the motion as smooth walking is really slow. I ended up going with teleporting, which is limited to a short distance but you can spam teleports to move faster than walking. Be…

The puzzles were repetitive and the female player character was INSUFFERABLE. you wanted her to shut up but she kept talking and saying the most inane things. This is a prime example on why VR Player characters should be silent protagonists. she was saying stuff that i wouldn't say in the situation and it was irritating. It's worth getting the negatives out of the way first. The HMD-relative locomotion is dated and clunky (lacking even a strafe option). The locomotion is slowwww even when running. And the core puzzle system is a glorified game of snap, which never really evolves... But... Taken purely as an interactive walking sim, this is a fairly wonderful VR experience. The physics are crazy. Speck-loaded items jetting into the void. Patterson getting stuck in doors and walls. Stuff getting stuck in other stuff, like they're glued together. This game had an interesting start to it. I loved the mansion and the puzzles were interesting at first. But after a short while, they were more of a time waster. The flying talking orb was a nuisance almost the entire time. It kept giving me hints when they were totally unnecessary. It did so over and over. You need to press and hold two buttons to "run" and it is still suuuuuuuper slooooooow. Come on devs! Tepid recommendation. The graphics and settings are very good, and the voice acting is great. The overall immersion is well done. All objects can be manipulated, a big plus for VR. The puzzles are repetitive to the point of irritation. All in all, Torn is fun at first but quickly becomes repetitive (which I why I got a refund as its price/value didn't impress me). I've encountered a few bugs such as my controllers being inverted (easily solved by switching controllers) and game crashes. I'd say what the game does best is the graphics, and what it does worst is the repetitiveness of the puzzles. I guess I'd recommend the game to people who just want to relax and enjoy a quiet VR puzzle game. 6.5/10

Here's what I do recommend, stop playing when you unlock the lab and replace the ending with this: The professor found is wife's mind but her body was too decomposed to reanimate.
