The screenshots look very promising. But since there is always a fatal error when pushing a button on my Oculus Touch Controllers I dont't think I will be playing it anytime soon if at all. I found some comments from the developers that they basically don't give a sh*t implementing the controllers. So if you have the Oculus Rift DO NOT BUY!

Store page outright lies about supporting oculus and motion controllers. Pressing any button on oculus Touch results in a crash. It's sad to see such misinformation.

Because of many negative reviews I was a bit on the verge when thinking about buying this game even though it was on sale. But gladly I did. I don't know about before but now with all the patches the game looks stunning in VR. Even though I played without motion controllers but on the gamepad since Rift version sadly doeasnt have support for Touch (it buggs out when you try to use it) the carefully designed world of AliceVR and vistas you witness are just astonishing! The game is slow and…

Unplayable. Took me three attempts to get the game to run, and once I was in, there was no way to reset the game space. I played for 20 minutes with my head brushing against the ceiling. I then could not progress because all the collission for the word was offset.

Terrible movement system. Stearing with your head and sliding forward by pushing the track-pad. No teleport option. If you affected by motion sickness do not play this game. Slow paced and quite boring gameplay with very simple puzzles. Obviously designed as a seated experience, not taking full advantage of room-scale and motion controllers.

Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/22fl6rwizM4 This is a space-themed walking simulator that is strongly inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Beware: motion controllers will probably cause your game to crash on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. I strongly advise using a gamepad. You do have full locomotion and smooth turning. The is a narrative-driven experience with light puzzles. There are some very weird,…

+ At least it looks like a complete game. + Does not explode nor eat your kittens. + Once graphics are turned up, the uninspired assets at least look decent. + One or two not-completely-horrible outside vistas. - The horrible, horrible controls. Unintuitive, contrary to every guideline regarding how to use HTC controllers to interact. Movement is vomit-inducing, non-teleporting and unidirectional (only in the direction of the MHD; no strafing etc). The car only seems to cooperate about 20% of…

It's a crying shame that this game doesn't have more reviews! I am very excited by this game's story, setting, and tone. It's Alice in Wonderland reinterpreted to be a sci-fi puzzle-em-up adventure game. What more could you want, eh? The puzzles are a little simple at the start, but I am assuming that is because the game wants to establish the basic mechanics/language for the puzzles and then will ramp difficulty. As for the story, there more going on than what I have seen in my limited…

First off, I have not played this in VR mode, only non-VR. That said, I've really enjoyed it overall. It's not long. If you do just what the computer voice tells you, it's shorter, but if you tell the computer to FUDGE (or F---) herself and go exploring, it takes a little longer. I've played through twice, and am working on a 3rd time through so I can fill in my achievements. What I Like: -Sci-Fi and Surrealism meet in this walking sim with some fairly easy puzzles. You want to puke all over the place? then definitely try this game! I have played a lot of VR titles, and I am usually really not sensitive to motion sickness with the Oculus. However, the controls of the game have been designed for a basic RPG (controlling the head with right stick, and the movement with the left stick), which, when turning the head, is the best way to create the worst puking feeling. I survived about 10 minutes before asking steam for a refund. And that was not even in the…

I bought this game because I wanted a good game to play on my Oculus. I look and see that Oculus is supported, touch countrolers are listed. Then I install the game and crank it up...... The second I touch a controller the game crashes. So I go looking to see what is up. I find in the forums that they don't support the Oculus controllers and seem to have ZERO INTREST in fixing that. I realized after I reach the driving part of this game that this was designed to be a seated experience masking itself to be room scale. Even though this was one of the VR games that impressed me graphically, always relying on Async Repro to get a smooth @ 200 supersampling is not the way to go (P.S: Got 980Ti) Since this was a seated experience, I can only play this game 15 minutes at a time before nausea kicks in (The driving part even accelerates the puking threshold). This is going to be an odd review of my experience so far. I had no issue with reading the text, the gfx in general are ok, nothing spectatuclar, but not bad either. Remember folks, this is still the 1st generation of VR. No the bummer. I only managed about 10 minutes of actual play in my Oculus Rift due to the fact I felt so ill while playing. Sci-Fi Alice in Wonderland + VR. This is an immersive story experience. There are some puzzles you occasionally have to solve inbetween unlocking the story, but I'd hesitate to call that 'gameplay'. I kind of feel like the 25 dollar price tag might be a bit much for this. It's like Solus Project but with less actual gaming elements. Still, other than the blurry visuals, everything else is well polished and thoughtfully crafted towards a pleasent VR experience. Normally I don't like story…

A warning to all Quest 2 users. (and probably others) Game is utterly broken. Any input will cause a fatal crash. Even the most perfunctory of glances will reveal this to be a massively reported issue. I really should have glanced before I bought this for 80 cents on Fanatical, because that was still way too expensive for this.

I figured it’s only a buck how can I go wrong. Well I could have used that buck to feed people instead of wasting it on this. The UI is clunky. I can walk through walls and out into space. Turning requires pushing a button and you can turn in one direction. One puzzle just would not even operate after getting half way through it. Spend that USD on your family. Take them to a movie.

Short review: - the most disgusting graphics (and they achieved it with Unreal Engine 4) - my eyes literally were ready to jump out after 10 minutes - the most clumsy controls (you can only go forward where your head looks now and turn 90°) - the most horrifying gameplay (invisible walls that won't allow you to go to the area - what is this, mere hello from the mid '00?) - bugs like going through textures And all that - in 10 minutes of gameplay. Wow. The most non-VR game with "VR" in the name.

I can't say too much about the gameplay besides the first 30 minutes or so, but I can say the graphics were stunning and very appealing. Unfortunately, the trackpad-motion design (on Vive at least) was extremely motion-sickness-inducing to say the least. I felt disoriented and motion sick within the first few minutes and I couldn't last any longer than 15 minutes when I first tried it. Graphics aren't as good as advertised but then the Vive and Rift run at 2K resolution, so if you have a 4K monitor the pictures look better than what your headset can display. It is what it is folks. Motion based controllers crash the game but standard gamepads do not. Make sure motion controllers are fully deactivated as you start. The first startup won't crash right away, but crashes will happen sooner and sooner as you restart. I just bought Alice for 99ct. Although it did work for me on SteamVR with an Index the game itself is just ... flat, extremely easy puzzles and a lot of walking in combination with the worst controls I ever saw in a VR title. Movement is just a pain. But I might play it a little more just to see, if there is at least any point in the game along the storyline. Definitely not worth much more than these 99ct. in my opinion. Even with knowing how much work it is to do a game. Sorry.

It allows you to really step into the game world and feel the significance of your actions, but it doesn't really challenge you unless you have very low tolerance for motion sickness - and the publishers' open response to feedback gives hope that anyone will be able to enjoy this game on VR.

The movement is extremely glitchy and half of the area you cannot even walk in. The hallways only let you walk on one side and often times glitches you into the wall. It seems like it could be a good game but the coding of the movement makes it seem so unrealistic when you cannot even walk down a hall way the way that you normally would. Having played a while I would say the gaming scene creates futuristic feeling and it sets up a lot of brain cell killing quzzles. Especially after game patched up with the latest attempt now it has optimised gaming experience dramatcally and speeded up graphic card performance. I remain to enjoy fun out the VR perception and story. GOOD GAME!!

It scratched my Solus itch. At least for the 4.2 hours it took to finish. Story was good, graphics were nice, everything ran smooth (asych on). Good stuff. Growing and shriking in vr was pretty neat.

It might stop things like this happening, but probably not. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of…
