If you miss classic Point&Click games, then this is the right one to pick. This is the first episode of the series where you get to know tiny &Tall, two blacksmiths who were ordered by Norse gods to forge Gleipnir, a magical binding that will hold the wold Fenrir who's been causing problems lately by attacking everyone, even the gods themselves. Of course, our two heroes have no option to refuse the gods request, especially mr. tiny who is too enthusiastic for this journey, on the other hand,…

INTRODUCTION tiny & Tall: Gleipnir is a point & click adventure game that takes heavy inspiration from other titles, but still has it's own unique, and wonderful formula that is somewhat akin to a crack addiction. From it's interesting story, to it's eye candy art style, and eargasming music, tiny & Tall: Gleipnir will leave an impression on you bigger than a Sasquatch footprint. PROS: + Pleasing art style, and animations. + Wonderful soundtrack which left me flabbergasted. + An…

I was debating waiting for Part Two to play this, but I’m so glad I didn’t. This is a beautiful and fun point n’ click adventure in the best sense of the words. No action, dex checks, QTEs involved. Just classic adventure gameplay. And I loved every minute of it. We jump into the land of Norse mythology where Loki and Fenrir are wreaking havoc and must be stopped. The gods decide that Fenrir must be chained, but what chains could hold such a beast? Thor suggests that the smiths that…

Great story, beautiful art, exquisite audio, nice endearing characters (on average), side-splitting comedy, tacky villains and just the fair amount of challenge. And all this delivered by just one person. Congratulations, can't wait to play Episode 2.

Not particularly engaging, dialogue is actually not that good. Plenty of interactions (using items on the environment) will result in no response at all, giving the game a bit of an empty feeling despite its good intentions and charming design.

Great game if you love classic point&clicks Pros: 1 - Solid artwork and sound 2 - Well-animated cut scenes 3 - Good story integrated into a Norse legend 4 - Great characters and amusing dialog 5 - Challenging puzzles at times 6 - No bugs or such issues Cons: 1 - Lot of inconsistent interactable hotspots 2 - No voice acting (though doesn't bother me since not required for good point&click) 3 - Cliche and heavily repeated responses for incorrect item interaction 4 - Only auto-save (but…

This is a great game! The art and animation are some of the most captivating that I have seen in a point-and-click. The characters are funny and relateable It's not a huge game but it still took me a couple of days (about 8-10 hours) to finish, which is good compared to some other games like machinarium that took me half that time. At the end I felt like the whole thing was quite sizeable because there are lots of things to do in a lot of different places. I can't wait for the next episode!

tiny & Tall: Gleipnir is a delightful adventure game. It took me a long time to get into it because the pacing doesn't make it easy to jump in. The game has a quiet, dream-like quality that sets it apart from your usual crowd-pleasing comedy adventure game. There is comedy here, but it's funny because the main characters get themselves into amusing situations and react accordingly, not because everyone you meet is trying to be a comedian. It feels classy and understated, which is a nice change…

6.5/10 Random game key: 10/152 It's quite a fun game that I would recommend with one caveat. The story isn't completed at the end of this game, that's why it says "Part One". So you're paying €14.99 for an incomplete story that will get continued in a new game which you'll also have to pay money for. This might be a dealbreaker for some, which I understand, but I'm basing the recommendation solely on this game alone. I liked the characters and their dialogues, and the story is a nice little…

Tbh, I kinda like this game, but considering that: 1. It's only part 1 on the game, and since 2018 (the year this game got released) there's no part 2 yet; 2. It's a point and click game but sometimes there's no difference between the objects you can interact with and the backgrounds. Considering some of them are pretty small (like sticks) it kinda sucks to always need the 'hint' feature. Also sometimes it's not clear what the game want you to do. 3. The UI can be a little annoying. It can be…

Impromptu questing is not only an hommage to the point & click genre. It also features none of its frustrating perks. The items have logical uses, nothing is too well hidden, yet the game is not too easy. Oh and, that's important to say : this game is hilarious.

The humor’s good, but the game is often needlessly slow. It’s also got issues with communicating to the player how they want them to solve a problem, a flaw that most point and click puzzlers have.

This is a wonderful game, one of the many that boast bearing the heritage of LucasArts point and click adventures. But this one really does - I can't put my finger on it, but it plays kind of the Curse of Monkey Island, which for me is the pinnacle of the genre. The story is great, the dialogues are really funny, it's super goofy and I love it.

A fun, not to hard click and point adventure. Can recommend to beginners, especially if u like mythology and quirky humor. Pros: - interesting puzzles - liked the clue and solution options - cool, funny characters and settings: designer skelettons, beard ladies, gods Cons: - lot of language errors in the german version - readability of dialog due to color (yellow colored text in environment with a lot of yellow tones) and font (similarity of r and t, . . . )

-Technical issues with the resolution on game launch -Achievement system that disincentivises you from using the hint and qol systems in the game -Hidden achievement that requires you to not talk to a character (and no way of knowing this unless you look it up and restart the game) -Somehow manages to have puzzles that are simple and yet frustrating at the same time -Music is banging though. Would rather just listen to that then waste time playing this.

If you like the genre, you'll like this game, but it's not a must-play because it lacks polish. Sometimes I loved the game. Other times I despised it. It is funny but not as funny as people make it out to be. Some of that is due to the translation, but it did have hilarious moments. Several puzzles were illogical. Even when you know what you need to do, you have to do it in a specific order, or it won't work. This wouldn't have been a problem, but often, the characters don't comment on things…

I love the settings and the characters are great. It is a really fun, light-hearted adventure game with very logical puzzles that will certainly challenge your brain sometimes but the clue system is really helpful if you want to continue the story without spending hours finding solutions. It took me the total 5.7 hours to complete so it is a bit shorter than I was hoping (actually I was thinking I would be getting all of the items on the list but you only get the first 2) but I will definately…

Protagonists' relationship is way too toxic for me to truly enjoy this game and the fact that it's only half of the story adds insult to injury. But still, the humor is humoring, and It could have been a good game if only it was complete, or it a smaller part of it was released as a demo instead. As things look like now, very unlikely it will ever be complete, and that is the main reason for "not recommend". However, I promise to change my review if Part 2 ever comes out.

Characters are charming and funny enough to spend 5 hours with them... but barely. It's a lot of pixel hunting of small items that shall be combined in non-sensical ways immediately or 3 scenes later. Not the good kind of point-and-click adventure :/

Gleipnir Part 1 is a short, enjoyable point-and-click adventure with simple gameplay and a fun story. The highlights are the art, writing, and characters. Some lines genuinely made me laugh. I liked grumpy, grounded Tall and naive, optimistic tiny. They make a great pair. The lack of voice acting is a miss, though the game works fine without it. Even small voice-like sounds would help. If you enjoyed Lost in Play, you might like this too, though it’s not as polished.

About the Game; It starts with an amazing intro, which some AA studio's could learn something from. Then it starts with the cutscene's and the game itself. This is more warm and colorful. And it sets the tone of the rest of the game. You follow tiny and Tall as they receive the mission to make an unbreakable chain. Why? I'm outraged that not more people know this game. It may not be the longest game, but I had so much fun. The characters and story are well written and the game looks super pretty too. And you also have to consider that this game is only made by one person! Even though the work put into the game is worth the price, I can understand why it might be off-putting. Get it on sale otherwise, because I can only recommend the game.

I was initially intrigued by this title, even though hesitantly because i'm fed up of the Telltale Style episodic release of titles, but I went into this with an open mind - and encountered a rather frustrating issue whilst playing in that unless you were SPOT-ON where the dev wanted you to click you basically got it wrong.
