Everything is likable, the pixel artwork, the playing style, and even the voiceovers (The characters don't speak in a known language, it is more like humming). You play a lazy engineer named Odysseus who'd rather take a cup of coffee than working. This humorous puzzles-heavy adventure inside the spaceship (which is all for himself and Robot friend) is very light-hearted.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember when Pn'C games were made of nonsensical puzzles sugarcoated with sidesplitting adventures ? Odysseus Kosmos can refresh your memory on the former. And then some. The first mistake the game makes is narrative however: the protagonist is detestable. You play an idiotic yet self-important jerk (stuck in a spin-off of Interstellar) who constantly berates and bullies others. Meanwhile, his fellow traveller is a sniveler, not likable either. Second mistake is that the louse starts telling…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All epsiodes are out now and it's complete. This game really grew on me, I feel it gets better with each episode and it ended up being a good story which surprised me a bit as at the beginning I thought it was more a lite/silly story. You switch sometimes between the lazy human in space and his robot and the humour is good. The gameplay was varied and really good so what more can you ask for? It's like old school games as there are 3 buttons for each interaction - look, talk and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cons: * Puzzles make absolutely no sense. You'll reach a point where 'try everything on anything' is the only way forward * Heavily triggered. Items and actions will appear arbitrarily after some other arbitrary action has been performed, with no particular reason why it wasn't available before. Even if you clicked there a million times before (and this happens **a lot**) * Backtracking, always backtracking * Some puzzles are plain frustrating, random retries until you "get it right" *…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game!!! This is an old school sci-fi comedy point and click that is very challenging. I loved the two main characters and their interactions. I played without the hint system (forgot it was an option!) and it took me over 20 hours to play the 6 episodes. I thought the story was engaging and though I kinda figured out what happened, I wanted to keep going as to the hows and whys, etc. The challenges are the traditional type - how do I fix this, solve this problem; and some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before you pick up this game, ask yourself this question: Have you ever played a DOS-era point-and-click adventure game? Or at least a re-release/remaster of those? If your answer is no, walk away. This game isn't particularly a good choice to be your first experience of that genre. If your answer is yes, the experience you got from playing those previous games shall be used to gauge your interest for this game, from the fun stuff to the most frustrating parts. Chances are, this game is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great art, music and sounds are good, that's about it. Odysseus is annoying. I hate looking at walkthroughs and had to do so several times for this game. I hate puzzles where the solution is "randomly click until you find what you need". That's not a puzzle, it's busywork. And even if you understand the solution to a puzzle, the creators decided to make the process so drawn-out and ridiculous to the point the solution only makes sense to someone deranged ("Oh, you want to remove that cloth from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game. if you like point and click you gonna love this title. Cant wait for episode 3. I finished the pilot and episode 1 & 2 in about 6 hours, and that was with help here and there online. So you could get more time out of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't do it. Played the prolouge/first episode and knew it would be a frustrating slog. You'll have to have patience and know you're not going to breeze through this. Not a common sense game. You'll use random items to solve some problems. These problems can have hidden layers too, so after you think you've solved what you need, you'll have to use another nonsensical item to uncover something else. There's lots of dialog, which can be fun, but you're going to have to click on all kinds of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expertly designed and extremely realistic, Odysseus Kosmos and His Robot Quest by developer Pavel Kostin and publisher Herocraft, is a classic science fiction game that combines lighthearted humor with challenging mental puzzles. In the game you play as Odysseus Kosmos, the lone human crew member of a research vessel space station floating in far away space. The main mission is to survive the dangers of space while also repeatedly repairing your ship, which constantly seems to be breaking down.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game doesn't even get remotely interesting until Episode 3 when the mysteries start cropping up. Until then, you're running around doing tedious chores where EVERYTHING is a puzzle. Oh, you need to do something as mundane as change a light bulb? Find the fuse box first! Oh no, now it's too dark and you need a flashlight! The flashlight is in your locker, but where's the key for your locker? The light is too high, now you need a ladder! Like, FFS. Some puzzle solutions are so obscure, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only recommended for adventure enthusiasts. The game's presentation is charming enough but at the core it's an empty husk. Your tasks are often arbitrary, illogical and purely technical. It seems like most puzzles are just there to make things more complicated. Nothing drives the story. Worse still, the story itself doesn't properly resolve. The big reveal of the final episode is something you are easily able to piece together at the start of that episode while more interesting details remain…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Great Experiences in overall. - Great Art - Great Humor - Too Short for now. - Control are a bit unconventional, but it is Point & Click game, so no so bad, the important is the story and experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This brings back the memories of all the bad parts of old point and click games, think DOS era moon logic. It's probably not a bad game if you like that sort of tedious trial and error, backtracking, endless dialogues, etc. It's simply not a game for me in 2025.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An extremely slow burn, but I loved it Odysseus Kosmos is a massive, 6-part sci-fi epic. Released episodically, the game's story follows a lonely ship's engineer who has stayed behind on a starship while the rest of the crew has temporarily left, on some type of mission. However, the ship is orbiting a black hole, which is doing some awfully weird stuff to the flow of time in the star system. I was expecting this game to be a comedy ("comedy" and "funny") are currently store tags for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yet another Point & Click on the market. What would you play Odysseus Kosmos rather than another game ? First, for the Sci-fi story, a quite unusual genre for that type of games. And it comes with all the engineering and scientific stuff that you can expect in a spaceship. You'll often have to repair something, usually with a rough-and-ready way. You may even learn a few things. The game is pretty hard, sometimes even obscure. That can be troublesome, but you can be helped with a Help…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I won this game in a giveaway on Steamgifts where the gifter asked the winner to write a review (I don't _have_ to do it but it's good form on SG to try to follow the gifter's wishes if there are any). I have no relations to the devs and no reason to not be honest (which I only mention because I saw there's a discussion in the forums about fake reviews). This is a casual point and click adventure that gets most things right enough to be enjoyable. The puzzles are in the range between easy and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, the first episode being free will give you a small taste of what this game is all about. If you don't know this game, I advise you to look for it and start with that one. I started playing episode 1 and as soon as I finished it, I decided to get the complete Season. This is a point and click puzzle game with a silly story, where you need to avoid a catastrophe, but Odysseus (the main character) is really reluctant to do anything. I found it to be a very entertaining game and got addicted in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a lot of point and click adventure, but this one is just... My honest +/-: - Too much hassling around as that some things have to be done in a specific order, one click wrong and have to do it again. - Selectable areas will change, making confusion. Also I could only see them when I clicked on the character, spacebar did not do anything. - The story itself. I finest it and hoped that this was more, I do not hate it, just hoped that it was more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice point & click for fans of the genre. Pros: + in-game hint system + long duration + 'what the hell is going on?' thoughts almost until the end
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to recommend it, but I just can't. The graphics and animation are great, the sound is good - and the main theme is awesome. It's just.... the actual adventuring part of this adventure game doesn't work very well. The puzzles are pretty arbitrary in places, with no real explanation or logic of what you're supposed to be doing which just leads to trying every combination of stuff to try to get through it. There are places where it feels you have to use the 'show hotspots'…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worth a purchase if you're a point and click fan ,ticks all the boxes. Will probably seem a better deal once all episodes are done ,episode 2 has just come out ,more to follow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely ambitious story, killed by very tedious puzzles. The creator might be an enginneer himself as the majority of tasks are about repairing/building/sabotaging something in a very -- too ! -- detailed manner, often unpredictable. If you are ready to go through this... the story is really interesting. I recommand to use the walkthrough (which doesn't mean it will be easy). I recommand also to do all the achievement on first run, as it's the only way to have the real ending.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot to love about the adventure. Although at times it is slow in pushing the story forward and you'll do a lot of similar tasks across the 5 episodes as they are mostly set in the same environments with plenty of backtracking. The overall quality however is quite high and there is a large range of different style puzzles to be had. Although some were very frustrating as it can not only just be a matter of selecting the right item combo, but also in the timing of when you apply them.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, kudos to the developers for actually completing an episodic game on a reasonable timeframe, which has unfortunately become very rare. They got out five episodes of this game in less than a year and a half, while you have con men like the Kentucky Route Zero guys who still haven't delivered on a 2013 promised finish for their way overrated, abandoned game. As for the game itself, it was mixed for me. I really liked the first four episodes (chapters 1 to 3 and the prologue).…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I have to say it is a rare delight when I come across a game that actually draws me in with intrigue. Let me just say that this game, I feel, heralds back to the early point and click adventure games I first played when I was young ("Hero's Quest", "Maniac mansion", and "Zak McKracken and the Alien mindbenders" to name them). So far I enjoy the story and all the little mysteries. I don't have much else to say except the pilot and episode 1 are currently free and what do you have to lose…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Point-and-Click adventure is an often neglected genre these days. There are far too few of them anymore, so it's always nice to see such a high quality example of the genre pop up. Extremely well written with natural humor. No over the top schlock or slapstick. Nearly all of the puzzles are extremely intuitive. There's no "rub this item on everything until something happens" going on here. You should be able to figure everything out on your own without the need of guides or hints, but it's not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very great expierence, much better than Club Penguin. This game is very successful, I am more than excited for Episode 2, I just hope I dont have to pay for it. I hope you will can make games like this in the future, good luck on the other episodes. signed: your mom
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A spaceship, robot, computers, lazy captain and a whole lot of humour. This pixel art point and click adventure game is fun, challenging and worth all its money. I look forward to the next episode! Full walkthrough https://youtu.be/z1TIYM1VUYY
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzles are unintuitive and it all feels like a slog. Some aren't even puzzles, just click randomly until you find the pixel that you need to hit. The story idea is interesting and I find the art and music good, but they are buried under a mountain of frustration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok but can be teadious and no voiceovers make it even harder to play for longer
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developers: Thanks for great story! Players: check out both endings, they are amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it isn't that good
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the first two episodes out so far. Almost reminds me of an old LucasArts point&click game. There was puzzle after puzzle, most of which made a fair amount of logical sense but still quite difficult at times to figure out. The puzzles were nicely woven into the environment to make them feel realistic. The artwork for the game looked amazing too. The only real complaint that I have about the game is that it was a bit too heavy on the puzzles without enough story to carry them. There were…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fiendishly oldskool style point & click . Up there with Lucasarts, Sierra & Daedalic etc. Only thing stopping you would be the setting. If a space, adventure doesn't make you weightless with anticipation, then that's the only excuse you have for not buying this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed it, it was a little slow at first for me just because I didn’t understand the full functions but once I started tapping around it became easy. I recommend this game for a lazy day off though it doesn’t have any type of demand for full attention it was fun taking the time to read the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the second episode is out now and while I'm thinking about solving map here's some time to write the review. Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest is full of nice humour and easter eggs to quest games. The game has several fun quests with puzzles to think about. Pixel graphics nice enough. Sometimes I feel lack of guides when I stuck with something, but this is mainly community, not developer fail. I like the names of achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest (Complete Season)" is insanely overpriced pixelcrap. This is a point and click retro adventure with poor graphics, poor translation, and poor plot. Think of this as a crappy ripoff of The Secret of Monkey Island, but from Temu. The plot involves being stuck on a space station or whatever, with a robot, and you need to work out what's going on by clicking around on hotspots. The game tries to differentiate from Day of the Tentacle by doing things…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →👍 Decent point and click experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like other downvotes have mentioned, the protagonist and his companion are too obnoxiously insincere in everything that they do to make this game enjoyable. I can accept puzzles where you need to improvise solutions out of junk, but not when the reason you're forced to do so in the first place is because your protagonist is a lazy bastard who has stopped taking his job seriously. I genuinely don't care to hear what he has to say about the objects in the world around him because of his…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got stuck on that part that required Quick Actions --- It's a Graphic Adventure, it should not need such actions.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat the game, but at what cost. The one thing I've learned from the point and clicks I've played is that at some point the game will give you the f you puzzle. And if the experience is solid the reaction to said puzzle will just be that it's "that one bad part". This game isn't solid at all, its not very good. The game looks great, you can tell the sprites were crafted with care but everything surrounding the presentation is abysmal. The story is very stilted; the first two episodes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you had an AMIGA or a C64 back in the 90's and played Zak McKracken, Maniac Mansion or Monkey Island, i can recommend this game for you. Point and Click with space atmosphere (Ever heard of Roger Wilco?). The artwork is really nice and with a big of imagination you feel like beeing onboard a space station of the 70's.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Funny setting and dialogues, interesting story, beautiful music and nice interface.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mini games in this game are just horrendous and most of the solutions dont make any sense. I did not enjoy playing this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've played many of these formats of games, I really recommend Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest. I'd avoid giving this game to a new player of the point-n-click genre. Here is why... I've play many point-n-click adventures over the years, so I feel safe saying this one is good. Worlds away, literally and figuratively, from the oldies of the 90's and 00's. The story unfolds nicely, containing a nice balance between reveling foreshadowing and not giving away too much too soon. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't waste your time. - Unnecessary dialog ... needs some tightening up - I find the fake audio track annoying - Interface/controls feel like they are beta versions from over 30 years ago - Puzzles can be frustrating since it feels more like random guessing than being clever - No clear story arc ... puzzles disguised as maintenance tasks If you're going to buy this, learn to click on Odysseus Kosmos to highlight what areas in the scene can action on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this slow to start, but it picked up in the second half. Overall I enjoyed it, but if the first 2 episodes where more interesting it would have been far better. If you enjoy point and click puzzle games you'll likely enjoy this. If story is important to you as well you could do worse than this game, but you could also do better. Pros: - Towards the end of the game the story gets interesting - The puzzles are very good for the most part, neither too easy nor too hard - The hint system…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great point and click puzzle game. Humorous through yet still showing that it can have its more serious moments.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really Enjoyable indie game. Look forward to more episodes to come
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit 3: Episode 3 out, played and finished, great puzzles, a couple of them that are not obvious at all to complete which may throw a spanner in the works for some players. Its worth the money now, especially right now with the 40% off special. Changed to recommended :D, some people may want to wait for the next or final episode but its good now. Edit 2: It was not obvious that it included all episodes when I originally bought this. Second episode is out and played, again very good, still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a fan of pixelated games and yearn for “old style” adventuring with tongue-in-cheek humor and (somewhat) obtuse puzzles, then Odysseus Kosmos may be just what you are looking for. Read my full review at [url=http://justadventure.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4095] at JustAdventure.com . I gave the game an overall grade of "B."

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest: Adventure Game is a heartfelt tribute to the golden age of point-and-click adventures, blending retro sensibilities with a melancholic science-fiction premise. Developed by Pavel Kostin and published by HeroCraft PC, the game takes players aboard the lonely starship *San Francisco*, which has been orbiting a black hole for years. The story centers on Odysseus Kosmos, a slacker engineer who passes his days tinkering, procrastinating, and bantering with his…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've always had a soft spot for point-and-click adventure games. Must have been all the old Sierra titles, among others. With the setting and characters, Beneath a Steel Sky comes to mind, a personal favorite. That this game is a love letter to the genre (and fans) from someone in the industry honestly feels about right. Now, I'm not a fan of how Odysseus talks to his robot buddy Barton, but it (eventually) becomes clear where that comes from. It doesn't make it better, but by the time the…
