While the game is a bit rough around the edges in some aspects, the art and OST are great and it still does a serviceable job as a RPG that will hold your attention for the duration of the journey. Edit: This game was made with Smile Game Builder, NOT RPGMaker. Edit (4/8/17): I finished the game and added a final…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this is a slight thumbs up. In Vitras has a good story, likeable characters and an interesting setting. It took me 5.5 hours to beat the game and do all the subquests, so don't expect a Dragon Quest or Persona length RPG. I never had a full party wipeout in the entire game and in fact, much of the game was really easy past the halfway point. My main character was taking 0 damage from hits aside from magic and this was with out me grinding. The game's difficulty is all over the place. Never…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started of as good turned to bad halve way, which is very short, since it took 5 hours to do everything in this game. Such short amount of hours in RPG is unacceptable. Other things are not good too: You get randome encouters way to often, combat is boring, long and repetitive, numbers you see on accuracy are lies, otherwise I don't know how in 10 turn fight with acc at 95% i missed 4 out of 10 attacks, 3 of which was in a row, monsters have way to much HP. Story was okay, but generic. Music's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game less than 5 minutes into playing the free demo because I could tell it would be fun. I finished this game in one weekend, which is shorter by far than most RPG's I have played, but it was well-worth the money I paid for it. This was a great casual-play RPG. The gameplay is smooth, the art is great, the music is enjoyable, it isn't ridiculously time-consuming to level-up your party, and it is very original. I can't wait for the next project from this group!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seriously, this... game is a big, fat insolence! Luckily I didn't pay anything for it, as I really got hit between the eyes very hard by the game's overall abysmal low quality. Well, there's one thing the game really is good at, and that's giving a great example of how NOT to craft your JRPG or more generally spoken your fantasy world. As this game basically does every beginner mistake possible. One crucial thing most wannabe developers do wrong is not knowing the difference between idea…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I reluctantly recommend this game for the following reasons: The story was interesting, if not very deep. The graphics are good and the fighting mechanics are nice. The music was pleasant. Lots of save spaces - and you need them! What I didn't like: It is a "to be continued" game The game is mostly made up of tons of mazes You have to fight enemies every 6 or 7 steps - this can be frustrating/boring when trying to work your way through a maze and you have to back track, a LOT. You can get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When playing this game it made me think of a very old game i played in dos long long ago i cannot recall the name, but it made it even more fun to play this game Its a good adventure game with nice map building https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo5rL-TU1uQ
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As kickstarter backer of "Days of Dawn" I got this game to shorten the wait for it, but that does not affect this review. Nice, but not without flaws: + a different engine than the RPG Maker Games + a nice artstyle in the drawn parts + I personally liked the story o length rather short compared to other games of this genre, but ok for 7,99 € - no minimap, questlog or autosave (probably due to engine) - sometimes weird balancing (mage does more damage with weapon than with spells, Umbilica…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Vitra is a pretty average JRPG. I have some mixed feelings about the game, but I enjoyed it in general, so I'd like to recommend it. What I liked about it: + nice little story with a lot potential for the future (sequel) + the characters were likeable + a surprising twist + classical combat / linear storyline + no bugs, controller was working just fine On the downside: - rather short, it took me about 8 hours and I'm more of a slow player - a little pricey for the actual amount of play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Vitra is a fantasy role-playing adventure that draws heavily from the traditions of classic Japanese RPGs, combining top-down exploration, strategic turn-based combat, emotional storytelling, and a richly detailed fantasy world filled with danger, mystery, and ancient secrets. Set within the peaceful but fragile lands of Vitra, the game presents a world that has only recently recovered from years of devastating conflict against terrifying monsters that once threatened all civilization. After…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received this game because I'd funded the developers' Kickstarter for a much more unique game, one about the rise of magic and featuring a magic system about experimentally combining emotions and intent to discover spells. That project completely fell through, and instead we got this. I played it briefly and saw the bog-standard Final Fantasy / RPG Maker combat system, which has bored me since the 1990s. Nothing else including the story stood out for me in the early game (young person fights…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Vitra is a decent game. It is definitely worth the money I spent on it, and I would buy the sequel, if there was one. It is not an especially difficult game, in fact, after a few hours I found out that you could run away from the majority of the enemies, and still progess in the game. I finished the game at Level 14 for all my characters, and was able to beat the final Boss with 19 out of 25 Full Potions remaining in my Inventory (I will say that the Final Boss was a bastard to kill).…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as bad as the usual cash grab RPGs, but not good enough to be worth recommending either.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game I have rather mixed feelings about primarily due to the fact that the balancing in this game feels off a considerable amount. What I mean by this is that the early game is exceedingly brutal and the further you get the easier things become. This is very strange when at the start of the game everything kills you in one hit (no joke) and at the end due to the fact everything is vulnerable to status effects the final boss literally CANNOT DAMAGE YOU, or can't damage you more than…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finally completed this game after 6.5 hrs of gameplay. I really think this game is great i really love the ending. There were no bugs in the game no boring parts, good story and i can say that i had fun while playing and i hope that this game will grow and i really hope that we will get In Vitra 2 really enjoyed <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice simple game with low difficulty level. Team gets OP fast and decent amount of optional farming of turn-based battles for XP/gold/drops.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the game. In Vitra has probably has the best endings to a game that will put other jrpg games to shame. Another thing I loved was the UI. It is very smooth and makes me engaged to the game. My only complaints is the save feature should have been removed when doing this one puzzle where you move crates. Although optional, it's best to disable it just for that section. Near the end, I wanted to leave the final section of the game put I wasn't able to further after some point.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just got this game on Sale. After playing it for about a half an hour, there are a couple things I will say about it. First, the graphics are really good for the type of game it is. Aesthetically pleasing, very nice and smooth graphics. It plays well on a lower end computer. Graphics: 3/5 Stars. Secondly, the Storyline. It comes across very religious. A lot of the characters talk about "God this, God that." As it is, its not a dealbreaker for a game, but I found the religious tones…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too short , i finished it about 5 hours play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game and cool ending. Already wondering if there will be a sequel...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh? I like this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I don't understand all the negative reviews. This was a very nice, enjoyable game. Did it have a few shortcomings (for me, it was walking a few steps and having another encounter. However, escape worked well), yes. But overall, the story was good, the characters were likeable and unique, and the ending was....I won't spoil it. I enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No map no ending. no items to buy. the most basic boring rpg ive ever played
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was half decent and had potential but even with some grinding you can finish it in eight hours. Just skip it waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Pretty Thorough Review of In Vitra *Basic Summary* I want to preface by saying that the Recommend/Don't Recommend binary makes this one tough; it's a mediocre JRPG with an interesting concept (but stiff and almost charmless writing/dialogue) with a by the numbers combat system that's tuned in a weird and oblong sort of way. The art is charming, the world is believable enough if small, and the music and sounds are honestly pretty solid. This is a deep sale buy if any and probably only if…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I spent like over an hour, probably close to 2 grinding to get the best equipment in the first town, except for the armor. I got the second best armor for both my characters cause the highest one was just 94 defense and $200. The second best is 84 defense and $100. Getting money in this game is brutal. Keep in mind that I’ve been leveling quite a bit and I’ve even faced one purple goblin character near the bridge and he was hard too. Once I geared up I fought the spider to save the kid and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Vitra is a classic 3D Jrpg that uses a front view battle system. It was made using the Smile Game Builder Engine and was released in 2017. It was Developed by bumblebee, and Published by familyplay. STORY: 14/20 A mysterious plague is spreading around the world, many are dying from it. When four heroes embark on a journey to recover a supposed cure-all, they stumble upon an even bigger mystery that could change In-Vitra forever. GRAPHICS: 16/20 Well, i've said it once and i'll say it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →easy game for anyone to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let my playtime fool you; I played through the game some 1.5 times. I thoroughly enjoyed this game once I got into the rhythm of it. The plot and characters are relatively interesting, and I can't say I didn't have fun playing. I think it's one that isn't always as intuitive, but now that the game has a guide, that shouldn't be an issue. Pacing is good, and the bosses are hard but fair. Definitely would recommend. I definitely get DND vibes, which I would say is a good thing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got up, played, got a pal to join the party. Attacked the sandworm, died, game over. Save file is probably nonexistent, cause after a game over the continue button was unavailable. ... Review subject to change.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey! Today I am here to say something about this game! /Positive/ + ok concept + long + cheap /Negative/ - Looks better in the trailer then the actual game. - Mouse does not work in this game. I give this game 6,9/10
