The Sadness is bleak torture porn, Exorcist is a genuine classic, Edge of the Park is filled with discomforting vileness, and Dr. Caligari is an influential arthouse silent film. #Filmsky

Day #60 "The Sadness" (Rob Jabbaz/2021) Brutally violent, transgressive take on the good ole' fashioned infected/zombie film. Never fully sold on this one but impressed with the brutality enough to add it to the collection!

A Sunday Times Poetry Book of the Year, it features a cast from film and celebrity culture—and me. Here’s a poem from it about the Sadness of the Poet—and economics. 😃

unlabelledView post →🍿 SHUDDER Film 17 of 31: The Sadness 🩸 This movie is not for the faint of heart, scream things. Imagine the infected from 28 Days Later crossed with the gleefully sadistic humans from The Purge series. The brutality is extraordinary and difficult to stomach. Impressive practical effects, though.

Specifically the Artax scene!! Ironically, I am now often overcome with the Sadness. Where’s my Falkor?
unlabelledView post →THE SADNESS (2021) AWFUL vibes movie with incredible special effects. Has the same issues that alot of violent horror movies have, which is unrelenting violence against women, but everyone's having a bad time in this movie, so it balances more than usual.

unlabelledView post →The Sadness (2021) is by far the most disgusting and shocking horror film I've watched. And I think horror being genuine shocking these days can be rare!
unlabelledView post →Crossed the movie exists, it’s called The Sadness
unlabelledView post →The fact that it's being directed by the guy who did The Sadness... Which was already just a Crossed movie, has me worried
unlabelledView post →So Rob Jabbaz is doing an adaptation of Crossed, which his movie The Sadness was basically an audition for. Could be awesome as long as it strikes the right tone. youtu.be/rN8Ke4mWKG4?...

unlabelledView post →i wonder if the Crossed movie will have me rolling my eyes going "are you done?" by the end like The Sadness did.
unlabelledView post →I am super curious/excited for the Crossed movie. And yes that says some profoundly dark things about who I am as a person. What can I say, I like extreme horror, love Garth Ennis and The Sadness was a fun beta test for a Crossed movie. So putting that all together has me hyped.
unlabelledView post →The Sadness stayed with me for ages. Brilliant film
unlabelledView post →youtube.com/watch?v=rN8K... Holy crap they did it. And from the director of The Sadness, which is similar to this comic.
unlabelledView post →happy for all the extreme horror fans in regards to the Crossed trailer and movie, i will NOT be watching though. years back when i only saw one of the trailers for The Sadness, i had some of the worst and most violent nightmares to date after.
unlabelledView post →The Sadness (2021) essentially a particularly intense and graphic zombie movie, almost unbearably so for me in places. let down by a gratuitous amount of rape and other sexual violence. extremely committed cast, especially all the background and side character actors. that one subway guy, ugh.
unlabelledView post →Did you know the Crossed comic was adapted into an original screenplay? It's a Taiwanese film called The Sadness and if you're a fan of gore it's definitely worth checking out!
unlabelledView post →Hitman is great.avatar press did all those WW2 books. The owner funded the short film we did. He’d said “I’ll print anything Garth wants” I guess he’d pitched Crossed and they were the only ones who listened. interesting to see how far THAT film will go. Ever see The Sadness ? Total crossed rip off
unlabelledView post →I don't have one. I'd say though.. that one of the most traumatizing horror movie I have seen is "The Sadness". I absolutely love Asian horror. It's always over the top and doesn't mind pushing boundaries. This one pushed past some boundaries that shocked even me 😲😳

unlabelledView post →idk it's a mistery to me. like... it's not my fave gente but I can enjoy gorey n mindless violence filled horrors (I loved The Sadness and that film should be called Any Trigger Warning Ever: The Movie), but Eli Roth just tackles anything in such an uninteresting, uncurious, dull, edgelordy way...
unlabelledView post →honestly I never wanted to see another film like The Sadness (2021) ever again. I'm finding Crossed's comic to be a slightly better experience by comparison but. The notion of an American film adaptation sure sounds like hot dog water. I don't think I like this director very much lol.
unlabelledView post →as far as I can tell, Yeon Sang-ho did not work on any Crossed media. I was talking about the director Rob Jabbaz, who directed The Sadness and is directing the Crossed film that just released a teaser yesterday.
