positive · AI labelView post →Fresh out of theaters, the new FACES OF DEATH movie will be available at home beginning May 12. Barbie Ferreira & Dacre Montgomery star.
neutral · AI labelView post →Cannot believe we're getting a new Faces of Death movie that's apparently awesome. So much of the world is a nightmare, I will take my moments of strange hope.
positive · AI labelView post →I wrote about FACES OF DEATH in an era when the choice to seek out explicit material has been taken from us, and how to make a movie centered around a mondo horror classic when depravity is thrust upon us whether we want to see it or not. www.slashfilm.com/2143166/why-...

neutral · AI labelView post →Faces of Death, a movie that doesn't really work and is kind of annoying, is an interesting example of the horror genre trying to adapt to modern day but forgetting that social commentary works much better via metaphor and symbolism than a direct 1:1 statement.
negative · AI labelView post →Every generation has a rite of passage. This is yours. Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery face off in our EXCLUSIVE new images from meta horror reboot FACES OF DEATH. Look for the film in theaters on April 10 from Independent Film Company and Shudder.
neutral · AI labelView post →it feels like a weird choice to do a remake of Faces of Death couched inside narrative about content moderation, even weirder for the fact that it seems to be broadly the same story idea as American Sweatshop (as far as I can tell from the trailer for that movie which I also never saw)
negative · AI labelView post →the movie I'm working on has a similar plot to this new Faces of Death movie, and it's entirely a coincidence. we've been in post for months!
neutral · AI labelView post →I need to spend a whole day in the movie theater this weekend to see: - Faces of Death - EXIT 8 - Lee Cronin’s The Mummy - Ready of Not 2: Here I Come
neutral · AI labelView post →I’ve moderated my fair share of Q&A’s, but never 5 in succession with the same team. It was a joy to be the tiniest part of this film, and I am really proud of how much Isa and Dacre opened up about their journey. FACES OF DEATH almost didn’t happen, and now it’s in theaters. Go give it a watch.
positive · AI labelView post →Faces of Death (2026), directed by Daniel Goldhaber; written by Daniel Goldhaber, Isa Mazzei boxd.it/wiLC
neutral · AI labelView post →Faces of Death as a representation of extreme horror is kinda wild 😭 It’s like saying ur favorite horror movie is a cartel execution.
negative · AI labelView post →I don't really get choked up over celebrity deaths but this one hurts. I'll never forget my best friend in High School asking if I wanted to see "A really fucked up movie?" and then put on Eraserhead. Tbh to this day I'm still surprised it wasn't Faces of Death.

neutral · AI labelView post →LET ME DIE A WOMAN (Doris Wishman, 1977) When I was a teenager this film was positioned alongside SALO, IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES and FACES OF DEATH as the hardest of the hardcore, and it's sort of funny that it earned that reputation because of vaginoplasty. Meanwhile, I'm watching it like "neat"
neutral · AI labelView post →I like a lot of things about the new Faces of Death, but one of the best is that when the main character goes to watch the original movie, she pops in the VHS tape and immediately starts fast-forwarding to the gory bits. This is, of course, the only way anyone has ever watched Faces of Death.
positive · AI labelView post →There was a movie on Tubi I watched called The Phone Booth, but it wasn't on letterboxd so I couldn't include it. Also wanted to see the new Faces Of Death but was not playing close by. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky #films #movies

neutral · AI labelView post →When I was a kid, the nasty stuff you could troll your friends with was mostly just someones' prolapsed asshole, and the thing that people whispered about was Faces of Death which was this gross snuff film shit of people dying. Now the very worst shit is the news.
neutral · AI labelView post →Making my debut at Filmmaker Mag, I had a great, in depth chat with director Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei on their excellent new film, Faces of Death. One of my favorites of the year, check it out below! filmmakermagazine.com/133590-inter...
neutral · AI labelView post →It's pretty cool that the HTBUAP director's next movie is a Faces of Death remake with Charli XCX
neutral · AI labelView post →On the same day Faces of Death is released in theaters, the President of the United States posted an actual snuff film to social media.

negative · AI labelView post →Now watching FACES OF DEATH (2026), a slasher about a masked serial killer who recreates the deaths from notorious 1978 mondo movie of the same name Directed and co-written by Daniel Goldhaber, whose 2018 film CAM is one of the best horror flicks of recent years
neutral · AI labelView post →I liked Faces of Death (2026) far better than I expected! It's a cynical film about a serial killer who stages murders that recreate scenes from the original Faces of Death. I liked it's brutality, as well as it's not-very-nice things to say about humanity, but it's not particularly realistic. 😂👍
positive · AI labelView post →"Smart commentary and a clever approach get FACES OF DEATH off to a strong start, but it lacks the conviction to see its bolder ideas through." Read our review of the new FACES OF DEATH movie: bloody-disgusting.com/reviews/3945...
neutral · AI labelView post →Rite of passage. I'm finally watching the OG Faces of Death. My older brother made it seem like the most grusome film. My mother forbade it. When I read what it actually was, I had already seen Cannibal Holocaust and too many films involving necrophilia (please don't ask). The magic was gone.

negative · AI labelView post →Now watching Faces of Death (2026)! 📽
neutral · AI labelView post →i have a complex relationship with my mother but i can appreciate that she was a gore hound who got banned from her college friend group movie night because she brought Faces of Death
neutral · AI labelView post →Everything sucks but I got to see early screenings of FACES OF DEATH and MOTHER MARY back to back because I live in the wonderful city of Los Angeles, where the people are dorks and lovers of cinema. positive · AI labelView post →The correct format to watch the Faces of Death movie is on a VHS your older brother’s friend brings over which you peak in on from the next room only to experience lifelong trauma.

neutral · AI labelView post →New at @bloody-disgusting.com, I reviewed @vinsyn.bsky.social's new 4K release of the original FACES OF DEATH, which includes one feature that did some really haunting things. It was like seeing it again for the first time.
neutral · AI labelView post →If the FACES OF DEATH reimagining does well, I think the next step should be a KaraszewskiAlexander-style screenplay about Michael & Roberta Findlay making their biker movie SLAUGHTER in South America and how Allan Shackleton hired Simon Nuchtern to film fake "found footage" to turn it into SNUFF.
neutral · AI labelView post →Just got back from seeing the new Faces of Death movie. A bit underwhelming in some parts, then other parts I thought were great. Overall, I’m not as traumatized as I was hoping I would be 😱🐻
neutral · AI labelView post →A movie or series that changed your life as a child. Go!!! “A Clockwork Orange” & “Faces of Death”
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching the new Faces of Death film on Shudder and I think this is the first time I’ve seen a chubby woman as a protagonist in a horror movie! I haven’t watched enough of the film to form an opinion yet but as a fat person it’s really refreshing to get some representation.

neutral · AI labelView post →Oh my. There’s a new Faces of Death movie coming in April?!?…oh my.
neutral · AI labelView post →The new Faces of Death is about someone finding reenactments of the stuff in the original film and I hope the culprit is so committed to the bit that they also recreate the anti-littering ad in the middle of it.

positive · AI labelView post →Check out a few censored posters for FACES OF DEATH. The posters are reportedly "too intense/disturbing" so the MPA is prohibiting them from in-theater placement. More @ www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movie/faces-... #horror #horrormovies
neutral · AI labelView post →Back in the 80’s we had something similar called Faces of Death on vhs at the local video rental. Showed people caught on film dying. A lot of teenagers were renting it over and over to play at parties and stuff. Absolutely sickening 😑
neutral · AI labelView post →The kids at thanksgiving dinner ran off with somebody’s phone to “make a movie” and ended up recreating Faces of Death from first principles (like the original no actual death was involved)
neutral · AI labelView post →I was very uninterested in the Faces of Death remake/reboot, but you all convinced me to give it a shot because of what you’ve had to say about it. It’s off to an interesting start with the clip from the original, and social media moderator. boxd.it/wiLC
