Lang is compelling, but I never felt the need for more. Not as well-received, but bring on the fisticuffs & action mayhem. #filmsky 📽

This one does not work at all because it positions the blind man as the protagonist despite the audience knowing he's disgusting. Watching a little girl defend him is grotesque. boxd.it/byKxcl #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

I wish it had followed Rocky from where we left off in the first film.

unlabelledView post →Oh yeah, M3gan 2.0 doesn't appeal to me at all. The first one was camp fun, but Blumhouse can't just let a single good film exist without trying to force a franchise. This one looks to be doing a Don't Breathe 2 by turning the villain into the hero.

unlabelledView post →Despite myself, I actually rather enjoyed this. Certainly the plot is pretty far-fetched, but once the film gets up a head of steam, it is quickly paced with some well placed jump scenes that work quite well. Stephen Lang is effective as the blind fella, trying to rescue his "daughter" from her long-lost family, and is especially so once we find out just quite why they are so keen on re-uniting. Madelyn Grace is also quite competent as the young girl "Phoenix" and I found Fiona O'Shaughnessy's…
