unlabelledView post →Throughout The Instigators, I found the film’s lack of vigor mildly amusing; it’s like cast and crew were saying to each other “we should have stayed in bed this morning"
unlabelledView post →If you're going to watch one AppleTV+ caper comedy starring alums from the Ocean's movie, go with The Instigators. (Wolfs is OK, but not as good.) #filmsky 📽️

unlabelledView post →We both enjoy a good loser crime movie, and let me tell you The Instigators is a good one. Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Hong Chau all did a great job! And the supporting cast? Fantastic
unlabelledView post →I was browsing through the Apple TV menu last night and The Instigators popped up and I thought, here’s a movie starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, directed by Doug Liman and it’s a couple of weeks old and I already forgot it existed

unlabelledView post →Hi #kidlit friends, after a mopey day yesterday I woke up feeling refreshed & ready to face my writing future! Here's what helped: pep talks from my amazing agent Wendi and my wonderful husband Mike, a funny movie (The Instigators), family dinner, hugs from my kids, and early to bed.

unlabelledView post →Trying to watch "The Instigators" but this movie sucks. Good cast, fun script, healthy budget and this movie is dull as dishwater. Ah wait, directed by Doug Liman. That explains it.

unlabelledView post →Still, not as good as The Instigators. A film that was absurdly reviewed on release. It is great. Casey Affleck and Matt Damon, together again after Gerry, and they are fucking hilarious in it. Watch The Rip. But watch The Instigators first. Also, watch The Last Duel and Gerry.

unlabelledView post →I'll watch anything with Matt Damon in it because I love him. So I watched The Instigators. Fun movie. Familiar representations of masculinity as wounded, failed, infantile, pursuing redemption, with a mother & child used only as signifier/prop for man's redemption & heroics.

unlabelledView post →Kinda love that The Instigators (2024) is willing to acknowledge that Matt Damon has aged in the past 20 years This man has been playing in heist movies since Ocean's 11 (2001) Glad a movie recognizes that it's not the early 2000s anymore His character is in between middle-aged & elderly
