Pitt and Clooney are completely in their zones, and Austin Abrams steals the whole thing with a fantastic, unexpected one-take monologue.

unlabelledView post →I am watching Wolfs, the Brad Pitt/George Clooney vehicle about fixers that has been made by Apple who have refused to give it a cinema release. Very interesting. It’s a great premise for a slick comic thriller that reunites the stars of Ocean’s 11. Everyone wants a movie The Wolf in Pulp Fiction.
unlabelledView post →Director Zach Cregger may have found one of the stars for his upcoming RESIDENT EVIL movie. Austin Abrams (Wolfs, the upcoming Whalefall) is in talks to join the cast. Abrams is also starring in Cregger’s upcoming movie Weapons.
unlabelledView post →The dumbest take I've seen about why Jon Watts shouldn't direct the next Star Wars movie is he's directed more commercials and music videos than films so he "doesn't have any real film experience." Doc. he directed Clown, Cop Car, and Wolfs. HE DID 3 SPIDER-MAN MOVIES! What are we doing here?!
unlabelledView post →Did anyone really have a craving for a Brad Pitt/George Clooney reunion? WOLFS is decent but utterly disposable. To the extent that the film has a point, it seems to be to remind you that Pitt and Clooney are handsome and you like them, almost like a campaign ad for re-election as movie stars.
unlabelledView post →It not that I think WOLFS is the greatest movie ever made (it is a very solid B+), but it’s disheartening that Hollywood no longer knows how to distribute an original mid-budget crowdpleaser featuring movie stars.
unlabelledView post →My ★★★ review of Wolfs boxd.it/a4GERf Do Clooney & Pitt share natural chemistry? Absolutely. Twisty screenplay relies on it, but non-stop banter is neither clever or funny enough. But Austin Abrams is hoot! Amusing at times, but so artificial & contrived. Pleasant but forgettable. #filmsky 📽

unlabelledView post →Apple's movie strategy remains an enigma - They love the final cut of Jon Watts's "Wolfs" - Ask him to write a sequel - Axe his theatrical run last minute - Watts leaves project, drops sequel - Apple announces sequel anyway - Movie becomes Apple TV's most-watched film - Watts reiterates there's no
unlabelledView post →Just watched Wolfs on Apple+. Overall, meh film. Love seeing Pitt and Clooney working togethers. But the best surprise was Richard Kind appearing towards the end.
unlabelledView post →Whether or not you think Wolfs is a dumb title for a movie, it is an objectively difficult word to say out loud. Just try it.
unlabelledView post →“The two leads bicker by repeating words in successive sentences — ‘Are you the person?’ ‘I'm not the person!’ ‘Then where's the person?!’ — giving Wolfs the feel of a slick student film from a rich teen who's subsisted on a media diet of early Guy Ritchie” 😬 Via IGN

They play rival "fixers" clashing over scandal of NYC politician. Hopefully, exceeds my low expectations. #filmsky 📽
unlabelledView post →Jon Watts, director of the Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, is not pleased with Apple. He told Deadline that he canceled his planned sequel to "Wolfs" — the most-viewed film on Apple TV+ in its history — because Apple pivoted away from a wide theatrical release without consulting him. Oof.

unlabelledView post →I reviewed Jon Watts's new crime comedy WOLFS is a spectacularly-photographed and enjoyably droll caper movie, but it's got one really big problem... It doesn't have big enough problems. My review of a star=driven caper film that's slick to a fault is right here, at The Wrap! 📽️

unlabelledView post →The opening scene features one of the most beautifully composed shots I've ever seen... Roy William Neill was a great director of pulp, and he's the hero of this movie. The script was another matter: the assigned writer, Curt Siodmack, preferred to call it "Frankenstein Wolfs the Meat Man."

Me: Business rivals at the top of their games, hate at first sight, forced to work together. Her: Hmm. End of movie her: That was a bromance. Crime lite, good laughs, easy on the eyes.

unlabelledView post →I went to see WOLFS in a Wisconsin movie theater in the middle of a Green Bay Packers Sunday – and the auditorium was almost entirely full. There was an audience for this movie to make money – not blockbuster money, but SOME money – and Apple bailed on it all.

unlabelledView post →Film is dead, we are part of the wake. Watched Wolfs recently and it was fantastic. Great script, photography, action, locations and oh yeah it stars Pitt and Clooney. Was released theatrically but streamed the same day, basically relegating it. If that movie cannot find an audience nothing can
unlabelledView post →If I saw #Apple TV+’s #Wolfs in a theater I’d be annoyed about a waste of my time and money. Streaming it was entertaining. There’s a lot of room for “good enough” movies in the streaming world that just don’t make sense in theaters. Previously this was a shameful slot known as direct-to-video, but these days we should embrace it. Though I doubt Pitt and Clooney will appreciate that.
