negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thanks for breaking mods again, for scamming everyone into a pointless Creation Club update again. Maybe you should fix the bugs that have been in the game for 15 years? Maybe instead of the universally hated Creation Club, you should finally fix the Gildergreen, which still grows through the texture in Whiterun even after 15 years of "game support"? After the idiotic Starfield and Fallout 76, and the absolutely disgusting and stupid Creation Club policy, there's almost no faith left that TES6…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loaded into this game and immediately got hit with “Hey you… you’re finally awake,” which is honestly a threat at this point because every time I hear it I know I’m about to abandon my real personality and become a stealth archer for the 900th timeline. I tried to play normally but the universe said no and threw me straight into “then I took an arrow in the knee,” which is apparently the official career path of every guard, historian, and emotionally damaged NPC in existence. Nobody here has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stop pushing your slop and trying to paywall mods. Be grateful that there are actually people putting in effort to keep your game afloat for free.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think threatening the legacy of the game through destroying one of the biggest modding communities would be the best move as a company, but what do I know about video games?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fools at Bethesda continue to update the .exe to force paid mods content on the people that play their games. They want you to pay for inferior versions of mods that likely already existed on the Nexus and worked better than the slop you'd pay for. If you're going to keep doing this nonsense there should be an optional branch available for us to keep using the older versions of the game that you haven't filled with slop content. The free mods made by the players are what has kept your…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only game where you can get married, have kids, run a college, become part of the upper echelon of every city, end a war, save the world, suck out the souls of dragons, become one of the greatest thieves of all time, murder the emperor, eat people's hearts as a werewolf, suck their blood as a vampire lord, blot out the sun, ride dragons, and get into drunken bar fights all in one playthrough. 100/100. Legendary.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first played Skyrim when I was maybe 9-10 years old. I'm now in my mid-twenties, and I only just got every Steam achievement, as of the time of writing this, 9/7/2026, 9:03 PM. The next Elder Scrolls is game is (presumably) on the horizon and rumored to be called "Sentinel". i know people have their gripes with Bethesda, but at the end of the day, this game is timeless. There's nothing else quite like it. Mods or no mods, there is fun to be had in the land of Skyrim, and I wouldn't trade…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love skyrim. It has been a huge part of my life and I have played it for nearly a decade now, i’d give thanks to bethesda but quite frankly the only reason this game is still popular is thanks to the amazing modding community this game has. Bethesda however seems to hate this community, releasing pointless updates and breaking the hard work and countless hours of effort put into both creating mods and building mod lists. Bethesda, you are pathetic, and you don’t seem to understand who you owe…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even 15 years after release, it's still the best open-world RPG game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took me 7 years to learn how to mod Skyrim right, and damn was it worth it. 10/10 I am never going to stop playing this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After dozens of RPGs, it's still easy to see why Skyrim refuses to fade away. It's not because the combat is the best or because every quest is perfectly written. It's because Skyrim gives you an incredible sense of freedom. You can ignore the main story for 100 hours, become a thief, assassin, mage, blacksmith, vampire hunter, or simply wander the wilderness collecting ingredients. The game rarely tells you that you're playing it "wrong." The world is packed with memorable locations and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes I just boot this game up wait till night and just roam, the ambience is unmatched it feels like a second home that I've missed out on for so long.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i haven't completed the game yet so I remain uncertain as to the quality or playability of the game in the long run. just killed my first dragon and he died pretty easily
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Skyrim Special Edition is not just a game for me—it feels like a different world, a place where I can live another life. Even after almost 900 hours of playing, I still come back to it. What makes it special isn’t the main story (to be honest, I haven’t even finished it once). What keeps pulling me back is the mods and the freedom to play Skyrim how I want, in a way no other game allows. I spend so much time just wandering the world, hunting animals, surviving the cold weather, and walking…

unlabelledView post →It's the best game, it just is. I know you love fifa, dark souls, cod or whatever but this is it. Skyrim doesn't have the complexity of its predecessors or a perfect narrative but its accessible and extremely immersive. It's a game for toddlers, teens, burnt out/jaded adults and 80 year old grandmas. You can live a life in Skyrim and can mod it into whatever you want it to be thanks to the hardcore fanbase. I've literally spent 70 hours testing my load order in Riverwood(console). In other…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A typical Skyrim playthru includes a couple hundred tabs of Nexus mods open in the web browser, a few hours of trying to get the game to work with those mods, lying to yourself about "Not being a stealth archer this time", and then Todd updating the game and breaking half your mods. The cycle repeats indefinitely on a yearly basis (at least).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this game, I can do everything I can't do in real life. Shout at dragons, kill giants, use magic, and talk to women.... For me, one of the best games in the world. It's simply always a pleasure to dive into the world of Skyrim with its beautiful music and spend several hours there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 15 years, Bethesda and their big-headed parent company, Xbox, still haven’t managed to release a proper patch that actually fixes all the game’s problems. Instead, they keep pushing out these petty little Creation Club updates, which are basically nothing more than a cash grab. Meanwhile, the best gaming community in history — the Skyrim modding community — has spent all these years not only fixing pretty much every problem in the game, but also taking it so far that Skyrim has…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Skyrim is the perfect form of escapism. Gf left you? Skyrim. Moms gone? Skyrim. Dog died? Skyrim. Running from responsibilities? Skyrim. When i started playing this game for the first time it was pirated and I forgot about reality for 5 days I dont think i even ate. And the bugs......the only reason I bought the steam version is because of the bugs thats why my hours are so low :( . 100000/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Skyrim, so mod it with concerning devotion and never play it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't even want another Elder Scrolls game anymore.... please give us another Dawnguard style Skyrim DLC lord Howard
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Witcher 3 is a better medieval RPG than Skyrim in every aspect. It has better story line, The characters are much more fleshed out, better moral dilemmas but I still prefer Skyrim. There's something magical about this game. Just walking around at night in Whiterun makes you feel at home
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me be very very blunt. The game is old. Despite being a remaster, remake, whatever, it's old. So expect old gameplay with the most basic of combat. no flashy dodges, no flashy skills, just swing or shoot till they're dead. Now let's get to why people claim this to be one of, if not the best game of all time. The story of this game is not really as intricate and in-depth as the likes of souls games and especially Elden Ring. The story is actually quite simple and falls onto the okay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I open Skyrim thinking I'll just walk to the next quest marker. serval hours later I'm a werewolf, guild master, nightingale, giant slayer, Soldier, and husband, and somehow still lost. Skyrim doesn't guide you. it releases you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's great and it's still Skyrim. But it's Skyrim resold to me again, lol. It also appears there is no native Workshop support. Because, mods are locked behind a $20 DLC. They took out mods so they can sell it to you on a resold game. Weirdos.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hai there, I imagine the question isn't whether you should get this game. I imagine it's "what edition should i get?" Well, I'm here to help out with that. First off though, lemme say this: 1. This isn't a review of skyrim itself per say, it's been done to death. This is just introducing you to all editions available and what they have. 2. This is based on what I've seen, without any specific research. You should research what I say, if you want to confirm that it's fact and not based on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a reason Skyrim has remained in the top 100 games actively played on Steam for 15 years running. Its a masterpiece in open-world role-playing, a game that still feels expansive, alive, and endlessly inviting. From the moment you step out of that cart into the snow-swept wilds of Skyrim, the game hands you near-total freedom: climb any mountain, join any faction, become a stealthy assassin, a righteous warrior, a powerful mage, or something far stranger, all while the world reacts with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first time I played this game, was on my dad's PC when he was introducing me to the world of gaming. He considered me old enough to play. Helped me create my very first character a female Khajiit and let me loose to the open world of Skyrim. It became the only game that I played for years. Everyday after school I'd rush to finish my homework in order to play Skyrim. All these years later and I still remember struggling to get to Bleak Falls Barrow for the first time because I didnt know…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely FURIOUS! I finally got my mod list the way I wanted and then they update and destroy EVERYTHING I've invested my time into. This was a deliberate attack on the mod community, you can't convince me otherwise. Why else would they release an update for a game that destroys all mods and pushes their Creation Content? They should be focusing on ES:6! This game has been going strong for 15 years. I've restarted this game maybe 30 times over. I finally rebought it for Steam after having the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Happy 14th anniversary to my favorite game of all time! 🐲⚔️ It's hard to put into words how much The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim means to me- the pre-launch hype, the midnight release, the thousands of hours poured into it ever since across dozens of characters... This game is my home away from home 💙
unlabelledView post →At 430 hours, plus several hundred more on other devices, how could I NOT love Skyrim? It baffles me that there are gamers who still haven't touched this game. Without mods, you have this open world that you can explore endlessly with some bugs that may force a restart. With mods? You've just unlocked the true potential for open world RPGs and frankly, in this man's opinion, it doesn't get any better than this right here! What are you reading this for? Go play it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bethesda just can't leave it alone, does it? Now I have to stay on downgraded version or half of my modlist will break. And some mods are so old - they might never receive an update for a new version.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(MAY INCLUDE SLIGHT SPOILERS) Skyrim is, without a doubt, the greatest game ever made. It’s the quintessential open-world RPG—an endlessly replayable adventure that very few games come close to matching. Even today, its only real drawbacks are the slightly outdated visuals and the occasional janky NPC behavior. And honestly, even those flaws have become part of its charm. This game was a massive part of my childhood. I’ve poured potentially tens of thousands of hours into it over the years…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ꨄ My rating: 9/10 ꨄ Pros: - Massive map with lots of different locations to explore. With so many hours put into this game I've never even came close to exploring half of the locations on the map. - Plenty of different questlines to do, with good and bad choices, that despite not altering the ending of the main storyline, they can end up changing which NPCS appear in certain quests. Those choices can also be fun for players that enjoy creating backstories for their characters, like for example…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is the only game where you can save the world from an ancient, soul-eating dragon god, and then immediately get launched into the stratosphere by a Giant because you stepped too close to his cow. It’s been over a decade, and this game is still a masterpiece of "accidental storytelling." One minute you’re admiring the beautiful, remastered Northern Lights over the mountains of Dawnstar, and the next you’re watching a horse defy the laws of physics to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You will buy this game. You will complete the game. You will say "This is a top tier game, I really loved this." You will then proceed to have the urge to play this game again once every 8 months, and you will play for somewhere around 2-20 hours then not touch it again for another 8 months. Would buy again, for the 3rd time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Skyrim in its remastered "Special Edition" form feels like visiting your childhood home. All the furniture is exactly where you left it, the familiar sights and sounds are all there, and the sense of comfort is immediate. But you can't shake the feeling that it's just not the same. It's a perfect snapshot of a memory, but the magic of living there is gone. Let's be clear: Skyrim is still a fantastic game. At its core, this is the same sprawling, addictive, and wondrous adventure that…

Editions ive bought: Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC legacy, PC Special Edition, PC Legendary Edition and PC Anniversary Edition. I would pay a large sum of money to experience this masterpiece again. While i think a big part of my enjoyment comes from nostalgia, i cannot deny the fact that this game is amazing despite its endless bugs and glitches. I envy every soul that hasn't played Skyrim. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is already enjoyable without mods. If you decide to replay the game, I recommend experimenting with mods. I personally enjoy making my own modlists, but nowadays modding has been made more accessible with the numerous of modpacks available. I believe you can find some on Nexusmods and Wabbajack. Time for another modlist until TES6.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Majority of my playtime is on the Switch/Switch 2, but I'd just like to say that I know when it comes to Skyrim, a lot of people buy this game because "Oh, I've heard people talk about it, and on sale it's cheap, might as well!", and then never touch the game. Please, do not sleep on this experience, and I'm telling you this as someone who was unfortunately one of those people until recently (I purchased my first copy of Skyrim around 6 years ago on the switch, but only actually finished a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vanilla Skyrim was an incredible achievement when it first came out, despite its many flaws. I believe it still holds up and remains fun to play even today. However, with the rise of Wabbajack modlists and Nexus Collections over the last few years, Skyrim can now become almost anything you want it to be, offering endless replayability and thousands of hours of content. With the sheer number of mods available, you could spend tens of thousands of hours in the game and still discover new…
