unlabelledView post →I am from USA, but I agree with you. A lot of them remind me of the Deliverance movie.
unlabelledView post →You know, time was you'd see Glenn Close on the cast & know you were in for something of quality. And then came The Deliverance. Now this. I'm actually low key worried she's going through what Bruce Willis went through, but that doesn't explain Amy Adams being in this. Enjoy the alt text.
unlabelledView post →Now on Netflix, The Deliverance is an irredeemable movie in almost every way — including its bevy of caricatures such as Glenn Close's Alberta. I’m insulted on behalf of the poor white trash community. My colleagues and I have a come-to-jesus chat about it here www.huffpost.com/entry/netfli...

unlabelledView post →Happy Canada Day! If you’re looking for a Canadian movie to mark the occasion, can I suggest RITUALS, the DELIVERANCE riff starring a never surlier Hal Holbrook? Gets a big boost from the cinematography that captures the woods at their most picturesque and their most miserable. #filmsky

unlabelledView post →I just... <sigh> Okay, Day 8 was not it. We watched The Deliverance. It had so much potential to be so good! The beginning was great and drew me in, but then the movie took a nosedive with it's weird but I he plot twists, gnarly CGI, and the use of "nappy pussy". The cast deserved far better.
unlabelledView post →Watched The Deliverance I really got to count on the amount of times Netflix makes a original movie and the chances of it actually being good is. Right now, it's not looking good for them. With extremely unlikeable characters and weak as hell horror, it just wastes your time.

unlabelledView post →#100HorrorMoviesIn92Days (47) The Deliverance (2024) dir. Lee Daniels Not the worst US-made possession film I've seen and actually a lot more interesting (for me) than most of them, slow paced but the human elements are more compelling than the demonic one. letterboxd.com/film/the-del...

unlabelledView post →Tonight’s movie was Netflix’ The Deliverance. Recommended by a co worker of Erin’s. The movie is about a family torn as they move into a new home, from Pittsburgh, where they start to encounter demonic events. Based off a true story.

unlabelledView post →Interestingly…here’s Billy Redden today…he didn’t play the banjo himself in the Deliverance scene. Tim Burton hired Redden for a cameo banjo boy scene in his film “Big Fish”.
unlabelledView post →I recently watched THE DELIVERANCE for the first time, and it reminded me of THE MUMMY in terms of story and how it tries to go for shock value, but it was a better movie because it just committed to ONE movie. It didn't try to be 50 movies. And it wasn't great, either, but it was very funny.

unlabelledView post →OH huh. They tried to make this movie more than just fun action stuff. Like original intent must have been a mix between the Deliverance and Silence of the Lambs. They both do great but ooof.
unlabelledView post →Straight out of the Deliverance movie.
unlabelledView post →I was in my 20s when Equus was first in the theatre. Saw it in NY. Was the Deliverance novel the same as the film? Saw that. I guess the only literature I wasn’t young enough to have read in high school would be the Bronte sisters and Shakespeare.
unlabelledView post →The Deliverance. It's an awful movie that could've easily been way better. I liked the cast but it's sooo Jesusy, which is weird to say about an Exorcism movie, but there's a reason Exorcist and Exorcist III don't end with everything actually getting solved by the power of Jesus, you know?
