The Killer's Game
When top hitman Joe Flood is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend, he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it's too late. From TMDB

An absolute cartoon of a movie. It's like Bullet Train meets a Marvel Movie. 2. Hollywood grenades are the least effective weapons ever.

unlabelledView post →I don't know how to explain that seeing Dave Bautista doing a sex scene in The Killer's Game felt like I had just walked in on a naked uncle, but it did, and I hated it. Both the scene and the movie as a whole. HATED IT! Still much love for David Bautista though.

unlabelledView post →The Killer's Game (2024) In a sea of bad action movies this year, this stood out as a solid midtier flick. Dave Bautista is doing everything to create a real character, the story avoids certain boring tropes, it doesn't over do the choreography. Pleasant surprise. #filmsky 📽️🎥 #movies

unlabelledView post →The Killer's Game - Dave Bautista as a hitman who puts a hit out on himself because he thinks he's dying. It's 100% a stunt person's film with rival gangs trying to kill him even after he cancelled the contract. Lots of fun.
unlabelledView post →Watched THE KILLER'S GAME (2024). ho-hum action flick. The film also has a personality change after 20 minutes which doesn't help. Also, I love Scott Adkins, but the man cannot do accents. Please, someone, just make him stop.

Many famous actors in the cast, but the whole thing remains bland. #filmsky

Saturday Night: Chaotic and entertaining dramatisation of the first SNL. Back in Action: Passable & predictable spy comedy. Netflix quality mediocrity.

Perry's 2022 Netflix film "Day Shift," it's a bummer that his theatrical breakout, THE KILLER'S GAME, is just your average, anonymous Lionsgate action effort. Here's my review of the film for Midwest Film Journal. midwestfilmjournal.com/2024/09/14/t...

I'm betting on Speak No Evil, which opens that Friday (although the VB location has a movie called The Killer's Game opening that weekend too). Could be Transformers maybe? 🤷♂️

unlabelledView post →Movie-wise, what's everyone looking forward to this year? I like action as a genre, especially low budget, but as I get older I prefer it to be less mindless. Still, sometimes I like the odd, just weird fun movie such as 'The Killer's Game'.
