This is the original game from early 2000, not a remake, and as such, it will most likely cause all kinds of technical problems on new systems. The game works fine for me as long as I do not exit it using alt-tab which can be a big problem, whenever you have some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not have the Windows 7 LSD colors fix, which makes it unplayable. And no, running the kill explorer solution did not fix it for me. GOG version has the fix, so if you run on Win7, buy that instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has everything modern AAA games don't - classic gameplay, and is not stuffed with online purchase offers. Great childhood game many would remember if played StarCraft.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remastered version please 😢
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For how obscure this game is, I'm honestly surprised to see one of favorite childhood games on steam. While I may have a bias from the overwhelming nostalgia I will try to review this game as fairly as possible. From what you may see, this game is somewhat similar to starcraft but not quite. The one thing that separates this from the other RTS games at the time is that everything is underwater, this allows units to change altitude to avoid projectiles fired from other units. As for factions…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This old cult classic has remained unknown to me until July of 2021 and until then, I had never heard of this game, which is a shame because this game is a lot of fun, and a game that you should try if you are itching for an older RTS game. But be aware, this is NOT your typical RTS game, which was what the ambitious developers were going for, and what I will be sharing with you now. Submarine Titans is a 3 dimensional RTS game, probably the only one where units have multiple dimensions that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unfortunately a error occurs on windows 10, "internal" there is unoffical patch support but this doesn't resolve the problem that this game is buggy and does not start at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WARNING : This game is way to old to run without modifications on modern systems - as soon as the actually gameplay starts it becomes sluggish and everything looks like made by a person with Colour Blindness. Bail Out !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun, but you can't play with the logitech f710 controller, which is an obvious downside.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never thought I would see this game again. It was one of my favorite games back in the early 2000's and it runs well enough on Windows 10 for me. I have had a few bugs, but nothing that even comes close to ruining the experience. I am very thankful they brought this game to Steam and absolutely recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really interesting and cool, especially by the standards of the time it came out (feels pretty clunky today, though) Sadly, the steam release on Win11 isn't doing it justice. I had to jump through several hoops to get it running. You'll probably need to download the community patch from the discussion board, MAKE SURE to follow the directions included with the patch, run the game, click OK on the popups, run the game again like one of the popups said, sit through the intro movies if you like,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont't buy. Don't support lazy publishers, who only care about money. The game itself is fine, but there is no optimization for modern systems. Alt+tab and your in game colors all grey. Have a wide screen, enjoy eye pain.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Favorite game, even 24 years later. if you are into classic RTS games (starcraft, Warzone 2100, Red Alert) this is a great addition to the list. with the appropriate updates and fan made patches, it runs great in higher res screens and modern systems.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just played Submarine Titans and it’s a quirky throwback RTS that hits a sweet spot for underwater strategy lovers. The idea of battling it out in the deep with three distinct factions and full 3D depth levels is seriously cool. On the downside, it shows its age—the campaign drags a bit and modern UI/QoL is missing—but for a nostalgia trip and budget find it’s well worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →QTP with a game that made you a gamer in your childhood! Submarine Titans, Knights and Merchants, and Hugo the troll 3D games made me a gamer way before The Sims 2 did but they don't have GIFs sooo 😅
unlabelledView post →Absolute RTS gem from the 90/00s
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remake, sequel, next game... please? The game is still great (with unofficial patch)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want this game buy it on GoG, here it's bugged. Wrong corium value for terminator sub 1200 where it shouldbe 600, White Sharks campaign mission 07 was bugged for me, dc bomber wrong hp (1000 shouldbe 2000) etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game but the campaign is full of bugs that can get you stuck. 10 missions in I have at least encountered 3 missions where I had to restart due to the bugs and some of them can be quite lengthy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really strong old-school RTS that includes the best of the genre at its peak, that unfortunately did not hit it big at the time (be it marketing, timing, whatever). I only played in single player (a lot of skirmish matches with AI) and the way I've experienced it I would describe it as being closer to classic Command & Conquer games than Starcraft. The base building is a bit slower and there is a really enjoyable base defence aspect of it (very cool turrets and other systems),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An OK old school RTS. The controls are a bit imprecise and the art style is uninspired for 2 of the 3 factions, the aliens being the only interesting looking one. But for the price is worth it, if only to experience an RTS that takes place in a setting that is hardly ever seen. The battles could be absolutely fierce, messy, and fun. I loved that resources are spent in real time while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hardly needs a remake.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ah, nostalgia. I lost so many hours playing this game when it first came out. Sure, it doesn't stand up against modern games very well - it's clunky, slow, and a little glitchy - but it's still a lot of fun to me! I'd take this over Starcraft any day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was young, my father worked in China, so I lived there too. At that time I want to play starcraft, and my father bought game CD in my birthday. I thought this game is starcraft during 3 years. I forgot this game title so long time, but now finally I found it. I always told this game as 'Fishcraft' to my friends. Flying attack stingray stuff. Still gave me some memories.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game from my Childhood... Still love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this as a kid so it was a pleasant surprise to see it arrive on steam. If you like classic rts games give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fantastic game from back in the day. still hangs well, doesnt feel dated. still solid solid graphics and sound. . once you get the hang of it, winning through the solo battles is a fairly easy mostly mellow resource aquisition and military conquest romp. if you gain proper control early, you can fool around for an hour or two and completely overwhelm the entire board, capturing enemy stuff instead of blowing it up, mining all the resources and overbuilding bases just for fun. . or you can try…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgy of childhood. It has some troubles running on Win 10, but still playable and brings you the sense of oldstyle RTS.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is confusing at first but you will get it after few minutes. Unit production is slow but game is good. Honestly, I would love a remake/remastered of this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOSTALGIA LEGEND A GAME!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my first steam game review. It’s quite interesting real time strategy game. Every battle is under water and every unit is submarine. Submarine moving under the water just like space ship moving in the space which give you very unique feeling. The ambience music is quite good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Submarine Titans is an ancient game from 2000. It's a whopping 23 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks proper widescreen aspect ratio support (it's locked at 4:3) or support for any modern gaming display resolutions, hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge. It's a run-of-the-mill base…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun and despite it has old dated graphics it got qualities and reminds starcraft 1. The difference is that it is set underwater and you can change depth of your ships as you wish! But it has compatibility issues... First time i started it on win 10 i got an "internal error". You can fix it going in the game folder and uncheck ST.exe compatibility mode set by default on the old windows XP. Then start the game in the folder otherwise it doesn't work. But the best way is to apply…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good old game. One of the best RTS of all time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia. One of the best, unique and adoring RTS of it's time. The game of my childhood. I can't count how much time I spent playing it. I played it again not long ago and enjoyed it. The game has three unique factions that are very well balanced. At the same time, the locations are very beautiful and atmospheric. In 40 hours of playing the game, I only had two crashes. Ultrawide(3440x1440): works through dgvoodoo2 but the image is stretched.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very awkward, very old Australian RTS. Lots of weird little systems interactions - subs can change depths, resource gathering is kinda strange, research and production are too - but not terribly fun to play. Still, a fun look into one of the genre's many dead ends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →are you going to update this so it actually works?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A throwback to the pre-starcraft 1 days of RTS: A little clunky to play, but if you want something different that is still a base-building RTS well... this is it! Three resources with only 2 gathered normally and one gathered over time from the gold harvesting structure. Three different factions that have /enough/ differences between them (more GDI/NOD than Zerg/Terran/Protoss) -- if you pick it up on sale it's worth a play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →True patrician choice of RTS games. I would say the pacing is more slow than usual RTS games; but it has a lot of depth (pun intended!) If you want to see how they were made 20 years ago, its worth the price. So far I've been replaying the Alien campaign and I have to say the AI packs quite a punch!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic Awsome A real shame there are no modern games like this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never thought to see that game again. I remember playing the demo in my childhood und underwater games always fascinate me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"internal error" sad think twice before you BUY (any) retro game (on Steam)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite Starcraft-like RTS games (as opposite to the traditions of C&C or Total Annihilation). It's rather slow and ponderous, but exceptionally deep for an RTS, and very, very fun. It seems inspired by the movie Abyss, but with a more (post-)post-apoc vibe. It's very, very atmospheric, and well-designed. Let me give a small example: there are two human factions, one militaristic, one more scientific. The militaristic faction names their underwater sensors "Sonar". The scientific…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Submarine Titans developed by Ellipse Studios and published by Strategy First is a distinctive real-time strategy title that transports the genre’s traditional land-based warfare into the depths of Earth’s oceans. Set in a future where a catastrophic comet strike has forced humanity beneath the sea, the game builds its entire identity around underwater colonization and conflict. Two rival human factions and an enigmatic alien race vie for dominance across vast submerged battlefields, creating a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game from childhood. Classic story/gameplay for RTS from the past, sadly underrated (SC/Warcraft/Red Alert stole the show), yet solid. 3 factions, different units (REALLY DIFFERENT!), conflict for resources/ territory. Interesting elevation system for oceanic strat. There are only 2 cons: - UI shortcuts are terribad, be prepared to click a lot with mouse, - might need patch it to be playable on Win10/11.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing strategy game from a better age of pc playing. I love the factions, the overall design, the combat system. Great game! No need for reboot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an old version of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't bother if you want to try to get the multiplayer working. Spent a lot of time banging head against wall. Also resolution issues for friend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice RTS I Enjoy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is legendary. Still one of the best strategies, even today. There are no match.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game every 2 years since i first learned about it around 2005 or something like that. This game is one of the most creative strategy game of all time in my honest opinion. Little bit of micro-management heavy on the unit control side but otherwise, 2000/10, highly recommend. Happy to see it in steam market as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this old gem of an RTS game by chance when searching for games on Steam the other day. For years I've been hoping for Submarine Titans to be readily available again for modern PC operating systems. I downloaded it through Steam and it works flawlessly for me with no issues (so far): Win10 Home Premium on a Dell XPS 8930 desktop with I7-8700K chip - 32 GB RAM w/ NVIDIA graphics card. I did not have any reason to go into administrator mode nor use windows compatibility mode when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings back good memories. RTS with 3 axis strategy. Works on windows 10. Alt+Tab destroys graphics which requires restart. No steam overlay. Everything else works. 800*600 resolution. Not improved to today's standards. A simple old school Original RTS.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Submarine Titans was among the Age of Empires RTS era, but capitalized on an elaborate, nearly never ending Tech/Research Tree for each race. This encourages you to either focus heavily on research and tech development, or choose a priority in research. In the Research and Tech areas, this is most equivilent to Warzone 2100. Although ST only has 3 races, each race is very unique to each other in style of gameplay, reflecting the Offense,Defense, and Economic player styles. The…
