It is not an outright horrible game, but it just fails at every turn and constantly provides a frustrating and annoying flow to the game. At first it doesn't seem quite so bad - although the first thing you find out is that basically the entire economy has been removed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-Quick Review- Lords of the Realm III is a medieval economic and combat strategy game developed by Impressions Games and released in 2004. This was the third and final Lords of the Realm game developed by Impression Games, it was actually the last game Impression Games developed, trumpeting most people's opinion on this game. -Detailed breakdown review- Story: As is the theme for the Lords of the Realms Games, Lords of the Realm III takes place during the European Dark Ages. I'd love to say…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible, just terrible! I had such fond memories of Lords of the Realm II that I figured what the heck I'll pick up Lords of the Realm III and see what all the fuss is about. I figured, how bad could it be... well, unfortunately it can be bad, really bad. It is hard to tell if this game was a cynical cash grab trading on the good will fostered by an established property, or was it (as I suspect) a game with greater ambitions which were just not realized when the final game in a series…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LORDS OF THE REALM 3 IS SURELY ONE OF THE BEST I'VE PLAYED SO FAR. I've bought this game for the first time in 2007 and liked it up to the point of buying a second copy of the game to play while I was a in a job trip just to keep playing. So, this is the 3rd copy of this game and I bought it on Steam just to leave this positive review and bring some justice to this, because truth must be said, this game were far overlooked and put down for a stupid reason: People buy it expecting a sequel to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is horrendously simple. Ultimately, Lords of the Realm 3 was a big letdown. It is still a rather decent game, but nowhere near as deep as its predecessor. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3043393182 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1232920842 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1391356182
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When this game was released in March 2004, it cost only $20. Yep. Brand new game, only $20. For comparison, Medieval I: Total War, a two year-old game at that point, cost the same amount. That should say something about this game's quality. Admittedly, I didn't hear of this game when it came out. The only reason I know it exists is because I saw a YouTube video of its predecessor, LotR 2, that made me want to play that game. I got it in the LotR series pack during the 2018 Steam Summer…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Game. Hard to learn but amazing concept. I played it in childhood and it brings back nostalgic memories. Ah the good old days!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LoTR2 doesn't work at all for me (windows 7) and I remember it being pretty good. LoTR3 .... works. that's the best thing I can say about it. No economy mangement... only one resource ... I bought the bundle on sale, not sure if any of the games will be worth the dollor or two I spent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to enjoy playing this when I was a kid , and playing it again brings back the good memories !~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game but nowhere near as good and deep/difficult as LotR II. Downgrade
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Lords of the Realm III" is an ancient game from 2004. It's a whopping 19 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the other reviews I love this game and it's one of the first games I played as a kid. It's fun to play and challenging, It's a game from 2004 so you can't expect the most polished experience, but if you're in to games like Total War, Age of Empires, or any of the similar ones in the genre, then you'll enjoy playing this for a few hours given how cheap it is in the first place. Also to that one specific review - it can be challenging but I've never had an issue with attacking walls, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Last Game in the Lords of the Realm Series and while it has a Good Creation System for making a Noble type of Character and its Status. Its gameplay looks like something out of the Total War Games. I counted the Combinations of Noble Shields & Nations across all 4 Lords Games... = Lords of the Realm 1-3 = Lords of Magic: Special Edition ...and the Total of Noble Factions and or Shields was 660 Overall. But as for the Number of Possible Combinations, there's 676.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nope. That's all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game feels empty. There is quite little city management element in it. It seems all the player can do is keeping fighting endless battles. Also, the game doesn't provide any statistics about the units or instructions as how to use the units. The players need to test each type of units in the battlefield to learn how it actually performs in a battle. In addition, those knights and vassals never improves/grows, neither do the army/units. It feels so lacking in every aspect.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite games, love to play it back in the day and nowadays I still pick it up again sometimes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played before the steam port. You should turn off shadows in this game and then the bugs are substantially infrequent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heya folks, here's a short featuring the intro to Lords of the Realm III by Impressions Games and Sierra. This is the final game in the series, but this isn't the final time I've featured them. Still need to do gameplays, and feature the main menus, yet. #lordsoftherealm3 #videogames #shorts

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game won't run, every time I launch the game it crashes during boot-up. It runs for a few seconds, the screen resizes and goes black, the the game crashes and I'm returned to the Steam window. I've tried many different configurations and compatibility modes, nothing gets it to work. I can find no solutions on the forums and Rebellion Player Support offered me no solutions either, this is a total waste of money because I can't even play it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lords of the Realm III, developed by Impressions Games and published by Rebellion, is an ambitious but divisive entry in the long-running medieval strategy series. It departs dramatically from the formula that made its predecessors beloved among fans of hybrid economic and military simulations, opting instead for a real-time approach that prioritizes large-scale battles and territorial control over slow-paced management. The result is a game that feels bold in concept yet uneven in execution—a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad: - Slow. - Clunky. - Hasn't aged well. - Playtime registers for the launcher, not the actual game. Had to close the game & leave the launcher running for 14 mins so that I could review the game. Good: - Some of the most beautiful & unique loading screen art ever created. The artist is brilliant.
