My wife’s boyfriend says Soda crisis is like Guacamelee but more like a bullet hell. The best John Wick simulator you’re ever going to play. I really enjoyed this game. It’s for those heathens like myself who used to play Metal Slug + contra arcade machines on Sundays instead of going to church for mass. For fans of Metal slug and Huntdown (ie the Run n gun genre) this will feel very…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't want to waste my time describing what Soda Crisis is about. After all, if you are reading this, then you are on Steam and you only have to scroll up a bit to see the game's trailers, promotional screenshots and genre tags to know everything you need to know about the basics of this game. Instead, I want to focus on the things the game does exceedingly well and make me want to recommend it. Some of the best gamefeel in videogames in recent years What surprised me most about this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →please add right joystick aiming support. Aiming with movement holds the player back and feels horrid. i will change review if this is fixed. not being able to run from an attack while shooting backwards is crazy. twin stick support is a must for a game like this. more people would be willing to buy the game. i think it there is a quality game in here somewhere in here. But the flaws ruin the experience.. the gunplay is just atrocious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute character and graphics, classical side-scroller. Difficulty isn't quite linear and some of the later levels are tiresome to repeat when not getting the timing perfect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast-paced, beautiful looking game with great movement mechanics reminiscent of Ori. Unfortunately that's overshadowed by a massive, game-breaking bug. Specifically, most of the early passive abilities do not show up in inventory once acquired (ex. fast shooting and the basic enhancement), and therefore can't be used. Strangely, I didn't have this problem in the demo. Once they fix this bug, I'd definitely recommend the game and hope for more from this studio in the future. I'd also like to see…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game too short
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished a game called Soda Crisis. A short, fast paced shooter platformer. Tons of upgrades to change up the way you play so what it loses in length it makes up for in replayability. Nice, consistent art style. Fun movement options. Community made levels. Definitely worth checking out.
unlabelledView post →Fun little game. It's a bit repetative but fun nonetheless.. Wait for sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been enjoying it, the difficulty on normal seems reasonable (the bosses are tough but not unfair). It's a bit weird how many powerups you get that you just can't use because there's limited slots, with most of them seeming clearly worse than others that you get earlier. The movement is all very smooth. The aiming is a bit weird (being 4/8/2 directional depending on your powers, rather than free-aim) but it fits in fine with the SNES-era feel of the whole game. The story is endearingly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly, I would love a soda crisis 2; it's definitely one of the finest indies I've played recently. It's pretty easy to complete all achievements and has very enjoyable and engaging gameplay, I would give it an 8 out of 10, and I truly believe that indie games are currently worth so much more value and fun than the triple A market.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A super slick side scroller, combat is tough but rewarding. In the spirit of Mega Man, just a little faster paced I found!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game way more then I probably should lol. Super fun shooter with tons of builds you can make.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only been playing for 3 hours so far, but it's so immersive that I feel like I've been playing all day. The game has a perfect balance of combat, movement and tactical perk customization. There are a variety of weapons, secondaries, passive abilities and gun mods. It is completely possible to turn a sniper rifle into a powerful SMG just by equipping the right gear. I'd also like to add that the visuals are amazing. If this game looks appealing to you, GET IT.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a solid 3.5/5 Levels are challenging so played in easy mode . Story is there but didnt care. It feels repetitive but at same time they keep adding stuff to make gameplay fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is honestly Perfect bought it on a whim and i want more people to play this chef kiss
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is sort of fun, but I feel it could've been better, the gunplay is not that great, as your in a small space with 40 enemies which insta kill you if you touch them, also there are so many lasers on the screen at all times that it is hard to see. The enemies are massive sponges for some reason and you constantly have to run back and forth to kill one enemy. Also, the fact that most doors you need to kill everything in the room really kills the game for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks fun, but it has something weird in the background, my GPU (GTX 1650) is going to BURN if I keep playing it, and it is not a problem of the GPU, I have played games more demanding than this one with no issues, but this in particular puts my pc into HELLFIRE mode. I tested it in another PC with the same results, so, the game is poor optimized or is doing something in the background. The developers need to fix this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game Surprised me!! I just jumped in blindly without any expectations cause of it's cool Art Style, but bro this game has some cool mechanics, probably the best shooter game I've ever played Reminds me of CONTRA, go for it !!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →chinese game without much consideration for other languages. user generated content agreement is entirely in chinese. message about enabling cheat mode is like halfway off the screen so you cant read it. pretty bad use of english when it is presented. the game is 16gb???? not sure why. also does the thing of having multiple difficulty options with no intended level at which you should play and no achievements to encourage a hard play through. theres nothing to unlock or achieve so you have to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game. Movement feels veeery satisfying, a lot of build variety with all the guns, modifiers and item, and graphics are absolutely beautiful. Had so much fun running and gunning here, only downside is that it's not longer
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not terrible but it gets old really fast. It's the same thing over and over and over and over each level just in different order. Yes there's essentially mods and powerups for weapons and gadgets but it doesn't offer much. There's also zero justifcation for this game to be over 16gb... but to be fair 70% of that is probably inefficient CCP spyware.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →underrated, with smooth and butter movement and insane amount of detail and polish, this is one you don't wanna miss
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game never wasted my 6.5 hrs of game play, really enjoyed it, it is short but I got it on sale so It's all good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Feels a little samey at the start but improves as you go. Cute interludes to break it up and keep the interest. Controls feel snappy and cool powers to tailor how you like to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast paced, fun unlocks, great gun building mechanic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an absolute (hidden) gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun game to play with good graphics and great action
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Truly a hidden gem!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soda crisis is action-packed from start to finish. It's makes for a short but very enjoyable experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely outstanding game for sure. Platforming, grappling, gunplay, everything feels great. Has a good amount of content but you'll blast your way through pretty fast. Would gladly pay for dlc, more levels, roguelite mode, survival mode, anything really. This game is way too good to put down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated game. 10/10 def recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soda Crisis is a genuinely made Chinese 2D platformer/shoot'em up/bullet hell hybrid following along the early 1990's side scrolling shooter genre, as you control a little robot thing with guns, a melee attack, and a grappler. Gameplay is frenetic and twitch orientated... die and retry is the theme here (at least we don't have to keep putting in credits for more lives). Insulting amateur developers everywhere, this has fairly good visuals, and a few other technical boxes are checked... with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Score: 8/10. If you enjoy run-and-gun action games, Soda Crisis is an easy recommendation. You are given a massive toolkit of moves, including sprinting, wall-climbing, sliding, grappling hooks, and mid-air dashing. Dashing gives you brief frames of invincibility, allowing you to seamlessly weave through bullet hell. The movement feels smooth and stylish. And the game features an excellent weapon-building and perk system. You can customize your firearms and defensive gears with different…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fast, fluid, and easy to get into. Movement and combat are intuitive, and navigation is always clear, which keeps the action seamless. What I enjoyed most was the overall energy of the experience. There is a lot happening on screen, but it stays fun rather than overwhelming. The lighthearted tone and stylish presentation also add plenty of charm. It’s one of those games you can just pick up and enjoy for what it is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Realy nice game. Really just keeps surprising you with the quality and depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but solid
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent run and gun platformer. Good sense of speed and movement. Every couple of minutes you get a new item that you can equip if you want. Lots of combinations to choose from. After beating the game there is another mini-campaign that takes about 20 minutes where you use the sword. A bit on the short side. I completed the main and bonus campaign in about 5 hours or so, but it's really fun and highly recommend. There really is no filler here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: Fun game, great visuals, love the customization. The bad: The game autosave feature isn't working properly. When the game autosaves it will randomly delete the save file. This is immediately noticed in game when moving to a new level, I lose all my equipment. When I log out of the game and back in, I'm still in the spot I left the game from but my equipment is cleared. When I close the game out and log back in, the save file is gone. I tried running the game in Offline mode…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent Shmup platformer! Ultra nervous. Good GFX, good sound, good gameplay, good animations. A succession of short maps with an increasing difficulty, sometimes timers... jump, shoot, jump, hook, jump, shoot, shoot, shoot, shift, grenade... destroy the boss. Tones of gears to build your preferred set up. Aliens are stealing all the planet soda, kill'em all to get your can. Buy it if you like the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Superrrr!!! simple and fun game. a lot of weapon and equipment choices!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when I bought this game I had no idea what I was getting myself into but now I realize it was worth every penny
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like there was a lot of thought an effort behind it which makes it so much more fun to play. It includes creative platforming (In the mini-game cartridges especially, I recommend you play them) which I loved along with all the smooth animations and lovely designs. Absolutely slaps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game. Only wished it was longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't understand how this great game is flying under everybody's radar. Addictive, dynamic, user-friendly! And like other gamers previously said: If you like Mega Man and Contra, this is your kind of game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thank you for making the side-scroller I've always wanted to play! ACTION, GLOWY STUFF, SPEED, CHAOS, CONSTANT UPGRADES, CHIBI-COOL AESTHETIC, DYNAMIC CONTROLS...I knew I wanted to play this 5 seconds into the preview and I don't regret my purchase at all! Make more games please! You have a supporter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed the demo, so buying the full game was a no brainer. I hope the delevoper makes a sequel or another run n gun game. Works great on the steam deck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just... don't. Menu text within gameplay is unreadable on Steam Deck. whoever verified the game didn't make it past the first menu.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A combat platformer with tight controls and lots of options on how to approach fights, worth the cheap entry price. This is a visually colorful game with distinct graphical clarity that doesn’t obscure anything or make it hard to tell what is going on, most of the time. Every level or area is extremely short, meaning the game behaves like several bite size levels, but feels connected by multiple levels in a row being connected thematically. The platforming is solid and snappy, where the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Those alien bastards are gonna pay for stealing our carbonated drinks. And pay tenfold, they shall! There's a variety of weapons and perks to aid you in this task. If you're after some good old, fast paced, run and gun arcade action fun that is a short but very sweet experience (like a succulent dessert to go with your preferred drink of choice), I would definitely recommend giving this an honest shot. Just... if you're drinking soda, try not to overindulge; that on top of this game may or may…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Titanfall,...but 2D!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A thoroughly enjoyable platform shooter. Great graphics and music that fit the environment and story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly good Indie game with lots of flaws - Not a twin stick shooter - Way to many Useless Items - Doesn't explain how things work / Doesn't force you to try/learn - Saves most of the best gameplay for the end Starts slow, and gets better along the way. So many items to pick from and then walled off by energy use. There are seven different weapons, plus melee options. I only used one gun, and the melee. The rest seemed completely unnecessary. There were so many unexplained items.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Looks good. Runs well. Feels great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/d00JTF-S9uc Twin stick shooter with an semi-'search action' experience doesn't quite click into place after an extended abilitease.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too easy, but fun. Looks and feels good. Play it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyed this game! It had me coming back. It was the perfect pick it up get through a few levels and put down game. Played on Steam Deck and it worked GREAT! If you feel like playing a CONTRA like shooter with high weapon customization, THIS is definitely worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun and fast-paced. Short, but polished and satisfying all the way through. There’s also a hard mode and a free aim mode if you want to dive back in, so there’s some solid replay value too. Easy recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, like it a lot, except vehicle. The vehicle levels are bad. And I wish there is something to show how many secrets level have on the mission map.
