The game mechanics are uninspired and lack variety across the levels. The fixed camera position creates unnecessary difficulty, as everything in the level moves except for your character. While the portal mechanic sounds promising in theory, its implementation falls short. The levels themselves are expansive but feel empty and lack engaging elements. The lighting design is poor, making…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely difficult , The physics sometime feel off , like i suddenly jump higher or lower by a lot with almost the same jump time. if you keep holding shift while you re-spawn sometimes you don't stick to the wall. it took me like 1h to relies you can climb wall by press up while sticking to it other thant that it's a great game i love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, speaking as a fellow indie developer, loved the implementation of portals showing the other side as you get closer. perspective changes as you enter the portal is also made nicely Found a minor bug, contacted the developer, shortly after he send an email with a photo and said that he is fixing it now :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A self-described precision platformer where your character keeps momentum after releasing the stick. It's like they stole Celeste's entire visual identity and learned absolutely nothing about why it succeeded in the first place. Celeste feels good to play, this, does not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Platformer + mechanics + challenging = Fast-paced precision controls while avoiding death traps. Climb walls, use plasma wires, and jump through rooms connected by portals. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play solid, portal mechanics visuals are very nice. Played around half an hour, some levels feels frustrating but all in all it is a solid game. 10/10 would impale meself on spikes again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Celeste but not fun already tired of it after a hour and a half you only can jump and grab on to things the rest of the game is praying you get a good rotation on your platforming it forces you to go without any adjustments or you die so playing feels like you have to get lucky then skilled at the game the portal effects obscure your view and doesn't give you enough time to read what you have to do before dying and trying again considering the achievements and many are death count feels like it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very difficult precision platformer, if you liked Celeste you'll prob like this too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While being quite frustrating at times, I've truly enjoyed the gameplay. Lovely visuals and immersive levels, I'd definitely recommend to anyone who admires a good platformer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: Ingression is a great precision platformer game with a portal gimmick that would appeal to lovers of the genre. I have previously played the prologue version of Ingression, and I can say that both versions were great experiences. The portal mechanic is solid, and the physics-related interactions are really satisfying overall. When it comes to difficulty, that is where Ingression favors a more skilled audience. I am not an unskilled player myself; I play most games at a decent rate, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game just does not feel good to play, the movement is kind of awful. the character feels simultaneously floaty and like she weighs 10000 pounds. the grapple is also extremely inconsistent and ignores my inputs half the time, making some of my deaths feel like it's not even my fault. the portals are nauseating and even with seeing the level layout ahead of time the whiplash you get from going through one makes it hard to adjust where you need to go. the final boss section is also so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It honestly hurts to see this game sitting at 59 reviews. It's a brilliant game which I played as a demo long before its official release. It's a 2D platformer with a challenging portal-style game mechanic (although the comparison is only a light one.) It's somewhere between Portal and Celeste, and it's beautiful. You have to try it if you're into those types of games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is pretty fun, on the harder side yet never really unfair, I must recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love that game! Gameplay, atmosphere, musics and little story is so cute and funny.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been following this game since early development. I'm impressed how beautiful the game has become. I believe speed runners will carry this to a whole next level. It took me couple of minutes to figure out how to reset the game and start over. It might be handy to give players a chance to reset progress of a save instead of loading an empty save.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is INSANE!! I have played the demo and i had been waiting for this MASTERPIECE to release UNTIL TODAY. Best portal game you can EVER play. Graphs, music, story, everything is amazing. There are numerous MIND-BLOWING Portals but they are very FUN to solve and get through/inside them :) To sum up; game is 10/10, I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't often play platformers but this one is challenging and actually pretty fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time seeing this in Gaming Istanbul Convention I can see that it came a long way. Its way better than I could have imagined it to be. I am having a blast so far. Would highly recommend it to any platformer lover.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A have a lot of critiques, way more than I’d like, but I still think this little game brings a lot to the table. Some pros and cons: Pros: +Cool music and atmosphere +Level design was often pretty good +Final stage of each chapter was great at stringing together a tense experience, where by the end you’re doing things naturally that would look impossible to an observer +addictive to keep trying +portals and gravity change were always super cool +high difficulty, made it feel like I actually…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best platforming experience i had in years
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Portals, gravity change, timing, hook mechanics... What more could a player want from a game? Do not be afraid of what I have mentioned. Once you play a little, you get used to all of them :D I definitely recommend this game to anyone with two arms and a little brain.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but it's not a ''very positive'' one either... I'm not into precision platformer games, but this one feels fast and some edges of the objects don't feel right. And regarding the puzzles, I would say that since the portals are already established, the puzzle is already solved by 60%, so there's not much of a puzzle here..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the levels feel RNG, or require literally perfect timing, I mean so perfect if you get somewhere 0.1 seconds late or early you have to restart the level, and most of the time you can do levels 5 times the same exact way and then the 6th time doing it that way you will just die much earlier then the other 5 tries, its also very obviously trying to be Celeste but that has good level design and good precision platforming, this does not. 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too difficult for my old self, so got frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved chapter 4 and grapling hook mechanic. It adds a faster pace to the game wich enhanced my gameplay. Other mechanics were cool aswell. Overall great game for an Indie company.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a little more than halfway through Chapter 3 right now. I've been waiting for this game to release for about 4 months now (and for what feels like a year!). I have a few things to say about it. If you're a fan of Portal or Celeste, BUY. THIS. GAME. The movement feels more fluid than any other platformer game I've seen come before it. With maybe Celeste as the exception. There's very little bugs (if any), and the game can run on not only my newer computer, but also my crappy laptop from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really challenging, fun(if you can complete the level) and ambient portal game. This seems to have been well thought out. Levels and effects are quite good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great gameplay with challenging level desing! Must play!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meatboy with portals
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a grappling hook. Good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The levels are fun and easy to understand but mechanically very challenging. can get frustrating sometimes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pixel Art Style is Great Gameplay is tight Portals make my head spin All good, no strawberry tho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty hard game with the great movement mechanics. UPD - Already on the 3rd chapter. DIe a lot, but be better a lot! Love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally finished the game today after actively beta testing and i loved it from beginning to end. As a devout lover of indie games and platforming i knew what i was getting into and i wasn't disappointed. The lightweight 2D precision platforming combined with the minimalistic controls were intuitive and responsive and never felt unfair. The level design largely was a nice mix between challenging levels and more relaxed passages which did a good job at giving you a small cooldown period…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than sex. Harder than Dark Souls. The new souls game of portal platforming. Truly this is one of the most game of all time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is ok. What you see is what you get and if that interest you then I suggest that you try it. For me I disliked small aspects of the game and I don't feel strong motivation to continue. First I disliked the over reliance of trail and error and the slight jankiness of the portals. Another issue is the frame rate. for some reason the frames were inconsistent during my play, whether it was unlocked (70~200) locked (120 dipping to 50) or locked half (60 dipping to 40).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ingression is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This console reject pixelcrap platformer has a sci-fi theme, particularly bad graphics, and features precision platforming including wall jumping and dashing... but lacks polish, and frankly, there's over 7,000 platformers on Steam. This is not one of the good ones... in fact this doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence as the tiny…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this from a mystery bundle. I think this is fun for anyone looking for a platformer challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ingression is a portal like precision platformer with many brilliantly designed levels. It’s a bit challenging and it definitely has enough trial and error levels, but you can get through them with patience. There are 4 normal chapters, one special chapter and one boss chapter. Each chapter, aside from the boss chapter, has a unique theme and mechanic to keep things interesting. The levels can usually be finished quickly. There are some big levels but I didn’t feel overwhelmed for the most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has potential, but the level design and physics really hold it back. New mechanics are not introduced gradually, instead thrown in surrounded by spikes or vanishing platforms leading to very frustrating levels where I feel like I wasn't given a chance to learn the mechanics. Momentum doesn't really carry midair as you'd expect, with the character suddenly slowing down even with no inputs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like if Celeste met Portal and it is amazing. Everything about this game is *chef's kiss*. There's such calm and yet somehow intense ambiance. The graphics look amazing as well. If I didn't know anymore, I'd think this was a game by Maddie herself. I'm only on chapter 2 and it is extremely difficult for me considering I've 100%ed Celeste. I'd really recommend playing Celeste first, even if it's not related to this game, as it gets you associated with the climbing and platforming mechanics…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like it would be okay, if it could manage to be more consistent. Two main problems for me. First, you have to hold shift to stick to a wall, which there is almost no time you ever want to not do, so why am I even holding a key for this? There are two times you want to release shift, one, to fall off a wall on purpose, which is extremely rare, and two, every time you start a level or die because if you don't let go briefly then the game will forget you're holding shift and things won't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ingression is a precision-platformer built around a clever and demanding twist: instead of simply running and jumping through hazards, you traverse levels using seamless, momentum-preserving portals that constantly redefine how you understand space. Developed by Espale Studios and presented through a sharp pixel-art cyber-future aesthetic, the game positions itself as both a mental challenge and a test of reflexes. You play as Rina, a thief caught in the middle of a disastrous temporal…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've just finished Chapter 1 and I have to say the game is very good! Tight platforming, difficult challenges. Great stuff so far!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/r1fKo2CPOn0 Despite having some great ideas the issues with difficult and telegraphing levels provides a very poor onboarding and learning curve.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →机制挺棒,结合了平台跳跃和传送门,关卡设计很出色,每一章都会引出新的玩法元素,很上瘾
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hard enough to be fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →celeste but fair
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really nice fast-paced platformer
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going to not recommend at first due to some issues. I feel like the physics moving through portals can be inconsistent, sometimes i will make a jump and other times i wont, with the exact same movement. The camera transitions moving through portals are also really disorienting, i wish you could disable these. I was about to quit after the first stage but kept playing a bit more and had a blast despite these issues. If you like the hard levels of celeste, I'd say you should play this game,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool little precision platformer. It's quite short but playtime may vary greatly pending your experience with platformers as the game is quite tough (but fair). At a glance this game might look like Celeste + Portal, but that comparison only really goes so far as the visual aesthetics. In reality it's more of a standard indie platformer but with really well dialed in controls and mechanics. Overall I only noticed a small amount of jank in the gameplay, and it was mainly just around the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You will die a lot. That being said this game is difficult as heck as it is intended. Lots of precision jumps and some difficult jumping techniques are required to get past the increasingly difficult puzzle rooms. It adds a new mechanic every few levels and starts slow then makes you master them. The boss levels are extremely hard and timed essentially, but possible. You'll definitely have to take some break every now and again. It's a difficult journey, but each level is possible. The portal…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty nice and fun to play game. Did play it for a short while and it was quiete nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extreme difficult. Repetitive. Not promising so much for the effort. Other than that everything is very good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great, very fluid movement, solid graphics, and music that fits the setting. Story is also enjoyable so far. Well paced satisfying platforming is definitely the highlight. Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys other precision platformers like celeste or super meat boy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels a lot like Celeste so far, with some really cool new mechanics! The portals are done very well and blend right into the gameplay. All around a really fun 2D platformer!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best platform game I've played so far! Every level I've played up to now is meticulously designed, and the portal mechanic is superb. The storyline of the game is also incredibly engaging. It's a must-have for anyone who loves platform games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can tell this is going to be a game that I will enjoy playing over the summer holidays, I tend to enjoy 2D platforms like this and the levels I've played so far are well designed and were fun, although I can tell that Im going to start feeling the difficulty, so it may be more of a love-hate relationship. Regardless, I'd say it'll be fun for people with experience with platformers, but maybe not so much for people who aren't as experienced with the genre.
