Well this game smash TV came out about then in 1990 or so. The game is like running man the movie. So this game is a Gameshow based on killing people. Fun times. Prizes and money for killing people and guns galore. This game is just like smash TV on the SNES only better graphics and game play. It's like smash TV part 2. Literally. Awesome game! Love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't change controls. Also, some controls are doubled on to keys not listed, which makes actual control very inaccurate.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't see myself playing this game untill we are able to change controls.

What once felt fresh with The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon doesn’t seem to have seen much evolution in years now, and while Deathrun TV does a fine…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, fast mayhem-oriented shooter with an emphasis on visceral fun. Controls are basic, with two guns each mapped to a trigger (can fire both independently), ammo but no reloading, a dodge, a basic ammo-saving melee swipe, and a uses-limited bomb. You get to pick your guns and one passive at run start from whatever's unlocked, and you find more passives and guns as you go. No involved metagame or complex upgrade system (seems like metaprogression is just score thresholds and accumulation…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the kind of bullet hell rogue-lite even folks who don't care for bullet hells OR rogue-lites will enjoy for at LEAST 10 hours. This is clearly STRONGLY influenced by Isaac and Gungeon but it's entirely unique at the same time. I love this thing visually in every way. My favorite thing so far is how my toon gets ragdolled around the room when he takes that death hit. The audio is very well done. The guns all hit hard and smear zombie gore everywhere. VERY well done!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun, banger soundtrack, super fast paced and easy humour. I like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like Smash TV and Nuclear Throne had a baby and it is viscerally fantastic. I mean that in the highest regards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a lot of polish, but also a lot of shortcoming when it comes to readability. Really love the concept and the weapons, but i'm kinda unable to play it properly, there are too much saturation, damage on touch, enemy spawning on top of me, the little yellow dudes kinda comes off as enemy. The timer at the end of the level is WAY too quick and aggressive for any sort of decision making about upgrades. especially if you're into your first runs and on-boarding the game. I get that this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This twin-stick shooter definitely nails the high-energy, dystopian game show vibe, but the actual gameplay loops get old fast. Dodging traps and blasting waves of mutants feels fast and frantic at first, but the bullet-sponge enemies and clunky targeting controls sap the fun out of later levels. It’s got a solid aesthetic and decent weapon variety, but the repetitive room layouts make it hard to recommend for long play sessions. Grab it on a deep sale if you just want a quick, mindless arcade…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That song will be with me forever, man. Once you know, you'll know. Fun, intense little game. Not complex, not new, but having a different gun for each trigger, and managing the train of survivors (not for long, usually) to get upgrades add interest and are really enjoyable. Has a lot of options for changing your gameplay experience (accessibility and toning down its intentionally excessive attitude), so that's appreciated. Could use more bug fixes, though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anyone remember Smash TV (arcade)? I do. So do they. It's fun and modernized take on it, I play it when I got a few minutes and need a quick fix.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So many little details they added that they didnt have to make this game fantastic. The Theme song The cops spawning if you shoot in the loading area the little quips your character says the customization options This game is my new favorite thing. So F*cking good

In this one, you are a participant in a cruel and deranged TV show where people die in droves trying to reach the finish while fighting monsters and dodging traps. Thing is, it's very front-loaded with all the hazards, there's an unrelenting endless wave of enemies, projectiles show up real soon, progression requires doing a konga line of easily killed civvies to pick up and deliver to rescue…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →almost kind of good. more weapons than ideas for weapons, some weapons have a near identical variant like a bunch of the sameish pistols or the 2 auto shotguns that are almost unidentifiable in their difference. the gunplay is good and it has an interesting tilted perspective while not being isometric. the art for everything is good but in action lots of stuff is barely readable, some enemies look almost identical to the prisoners you are gathering, I would prefer more pixely art to rounded…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a bloody shooter where you go into different stages getting weapons and power ups on the way its fun but very low content with being 1 goal also another thing being its very hard after section 3 it gets very hard which you cant do anything about it which kinda sucks also i discovered a bug on the way a boss bug which makes them get stuck in the walls defo still a must play game tho content to add/fix bugs fix Workshop/levelEditor cosmetics/shoes more power ups…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →frantic game very crisp and pretty, good 4k performance but didnt feel right to me. difficulty is unfair. its very fast, faster than me. there seems to be little point to replaying the same thing every run. repetitiveness kills roguelikes in general but this one is killed faster than others like synthetik or even the much worse immortal redneck. maybe ill reconsider some day but the devs asked for a review and im saying: please dont beg for criticism because you might get it. for now absolutely…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WOW!! I play s lot of twin-stick roguelikes, this might be my favorite. The mechanics, presentation, music, graphics, controls and music are incredible. This came out of nowhere. Any fan of this genre is going to be VERY happy with this one. It play's flawlessly on the Deck too. So friggin' happy....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like this type of games but I love this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an amusing bullet hell. The mechanic of rescuing people is very fun an addicting. The game has its flaws. The largest being that the game puts waaaaay to much stuff on the screen. Things like dead mini bosses and debris will draw themselves over things that are important to see such as enemy spawns or traps. You have no way of possibly knowing their presence as too much stuff clutters the level. It is difficult often to tell what hurts and what harms you. Some villains look a lot like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gore, mayhem, and popularity. just like school...ok, its A fun arcade-ish little romp of mirth building carnage, that unlike school, makes you want to go again, and again! (when i saw this was done by Laser Dog, I knew it would be done well, and I wasn't let down! Kudos to them on creating yet another title that has me saying "just one more run" as my day quickly rushes away without my notice)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one's for all the old-skool Smash TV fans! A twin-stick shooter with lots of (funny) gratuitous blood and swearing from the talented two-man dev team Laser Dog (go play Catchee on iOS! That's them too and it's ace.) It's fun, hard (but I'm old so there's that) and offers a chilling view of a dystopian near-future where ultra-violence is perpetrated solely to generate Likes from the faceless Internet masses... hang on, don't we do that already?!.. Anyway, despite that horrifying…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo for a couple hours before purchasing the game - and I am so glad I did. This is exactly what the doctor ordered. In the past couple of weeks I have been having an urge to play an off-the-walls arena esc duel-stick shooter, and like magic this game is released. It's not a game I feel you'll sit down and play all night, but something you'll crave in short 30 minute to 1 hour play sessions. Now if you don't mind me, I have some slaughtering to continue with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. It is harder than most rogue's though for sure. You think unlocking stuff will help but it barely does, its still pretty difficult, and not always in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. I played it on Switch (though the scene transitions was a little buggy.) So I bought it on PC to use on my Asus Rog Ally but randomly my controls would stop working on a run. I *could* just play it on a regular PC but that's not what I wanted it for, so I didn't keep it. But, it really is a fun friggin game. So... I do recommend it but I also don't just because I'm dumb and have technical issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has the hype presentation going, but it's a weak game. Most of the time you'll have absolutely no idea what is going on. Almost everything is in the same muted yellow color scheme, and things just randomly appear. There is so much glitz and sparkles and streamers and hype that the actual game play is lost. I really tried to like it, gave it a full hour then refunded. This is an outright bad game that needs complete graphical and presentation overhaul.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow this game sucks. Where do I even start.......The game has this cheap flash game feel. Theres too much going on onscreen and everything is moving so quickly, you constantly lose track of things and will get damaged without even realizing it and it will feel cheap and never your fault. Its less of a roguelike as instead of tight combat you fight against waves of enemies spawning or rooms where they respawn endlessely, more like a survivor game. The UI is terrible and the tutorial tells you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very difficult, but if your a fan of smash tv you'll love this. There are aids to make the game easier to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEATHRUN TV is a chaotic twin-stick shooter that thrives on spectacle, throwing players into a hyper-stylized, dystopian game show where survival and audience approval are the only things that matter. Developed by Laser Dog and published by Merge Games, the title builds its identity around the idea of being a contestant in a violent, neon-soaked broadcast. The atmosphere is intentionally over-the-top, with every run framed as a performance for an unseen audience hungry for blood, likes, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →congrats to the devs for making a twin stick roguelike that is less forgiving than Binding of Isaac! this game is HARD. if you are looking for a game that is very much more difficult than its contemporaries (and influences), try this. it's clearly channeling Smash TV as much as it is Enter the Gungeon. don't believe me? just look at the achievement stats, and see how many people even made it to _level 2_, let alone level 3 or farther. i think the most annoying mechanic is when you get hit.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I see some other reviews on the game, saying its difficult etc and not for them.... I won this game from a community Discord so I gave it a fair go. It's not easy and I admit when I saw the aids you can activate I used some of them to beat the game. Maybe that translates into replay value, trying to beat it without the aids. There's also an easter egg ending compared to the normal ending. So you're on the gameshow-like TV show and youre fighting procedurally-generated labyrinths and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannot truly customize my character, as it only gives you two instead of up-to X options on every other page.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the worst games i have ever played
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a reason why most reviewers haven't played it for more than a few hours. It's not very fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/6M_lec9wMXY Choosing a isometric overhead view with a wide camera makes seeing enemies and projectiles more challenging than ideal, while bullet sponge bosses take far too much time to tackle slowing down the pacing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty Fun Bullet Hell. Those Lazers are annoying af tho. Don't buy it at full price 😉
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this as part of a fanatical bundle; paid 60c for it. Best 60 cents spent in a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got to stage 5 and I got cucked
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the concept but everything else is terrible. Bad music. Bad Game design. Stuff keeps happening and you just don't care. You get killed by invisible enemies. Everything is sloppily put together from the lobby area to the levels. Avoid!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried , the game is not fun at all x.x, like its anoying and senseless actually I bought it on steam sale, so its ok it was cheap, but I absolutely cant recomend even for the price I paid
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good amount of blood and explosions
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game that keeps you on your toes! Beautifully simple and fun! Buy this shizzz!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent twin stick shooter with a soundtrack that slaps. with a little humor sprinkled about. If you ever played smash tv back in the arcades you will feel right at home here. even if you havent its a great little time sink. As soon as i turn it off i want to boot it up and do another run Im loving it pick it up now.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This might be the craziest twin stick shooter I've ever played. I shall enjoy the challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with good atmosphere and fast paced action. The only downside are the fps drops and the 2nd studio Bullet hell mobs that spam like 40 shots in a row
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is fire man
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played just 48 minutes so far but this game scratches that itch that I've had for so long.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh yes, this is pure dual stick bussin! Please make moar "Steam Decky"... XOXO
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although the quality of the game is pretty high and I did not find any bug or other issue, the game was simply not for me. Being a roguelite I expected some meta-progression that was not really there (only weapon unlocks for the random drops and cosmetics, nothing game-changer), also, when reaching new arenas, you were still forced to play the same first arenas over and over and it got tiring. The shooting part is actually pretty good but I could not bear to replay over and over again with…
