ShootMania Storm
Developer Nadeo
ShootMania Storm is a first-person shooter video game by Ubisoft and Ubisoft Nadeo as a spin-off title of the TrackMania series. Just like its sister games TrackMania 2 and the yet-unreleased QuestMania, it features 3 different environments, of which two have so far been revealed; a snow-based environment called Cryo, and another called Storm. Storm was released first, with Cryo to be released later. Nadeo have… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

Shootmania is a simple game but with depth and strategy involved in it. This game should be up there with CSGO, DOTA2, and other popular e-sport titles, but I think one of the things that really killed this game early was the poor, poor advertising before the game's full release, since this game was made by a french company anyway.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make this game F2P and let every people enjoy this awesome experience. The game itself is not dead yet even with 0 online, it's just part of devs greed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's dead, Jim.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so dead that at this point I'm impressed the US servers are still up
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crazy fun, I love this style of fps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dead game 0 NA servers, 0 NA players
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really bad marketing around this game, no consistent fanbase, I mean no one plays this game, and because of that it sucks. The concept is amazing, but there's no real appeal besides looking like an E-Sports game, which proves that it was just created for that purpose, without regarding the fact that you need to grow a fanbase before making it competable. I wish I could recommend this game, but throwing 20 euros for a game without players gives you blue balls. EDIT - Can you make it free 2 play…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would be so fking good if people actually played it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2025 is the year of shootmania
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get this game. The online multiplayer is dead, my friends can't connect to my local server, and there aren't any single-player options. There is absolutely no reason to buy this. It's really disappointing though; I was expecting great things from the people who made the fantastic Trackmania series. But, this game is too glitch-filled and abandoned to be played in its current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage interface, zero players, and absolutely no maps included. Failed to install the base maps on repeated installs, meaning I can't even start a game with my friends. Finding maps to download means going to an arbitrary webpage that isn't listed or referenced anywhere, as there's no logical means of finding maps within the game's dreadful UI. No wonder this game is dead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was lucky enough to play this game at it's peak and came across it in my steam after 9 years away, it's still so good but there's not many players. It is a game begging to be made free to play. There's nothing else like the 3v3 elite game mode (the parkour game mode is fantastic as well thanks to some very unique movement mechanics) and I would be right back into it if we could get the matchmaking servers populated again. It was a criminally underrated game on release and it's so sad to see…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Back when I played this during a free weekend in 2014, and again now in 2023, the online is still completely dead. Some folks are making an effort at keeping the game alive by hosting the occasional event, but then the problem is that all the people attending are always European - which means I get a ping of 175ms while they get pings of 20-40ms on average. And add on top of that the fact those 10-15 people that still bother to play and who attend these planned events tend to be veterans, who…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ShootMania Storm was an incredibly unique and innovative AFPS that I had the pleasure of playing back in its activity peak. What made ShootMania Storm so special was its fast-paced and competitive nature. It was a game that rewarded quick reflexes and smart decision making, and the competitive scene was filled with incredibly talented individuals. As a Professional Instagibber, I aprove this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →perfect fps game killed because of dumb developers:(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After all those years... This still is my favourite game of all time!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would've been great if it was more popular but... :/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play at evenings in EU time, play with enough friends, play solo Obstacle, or make a map or something.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make this game free to play and i know more people would love to pay it. 19.99 10 years after the game came out is not worth it. I played back in 2013-2015 and it was one of my most loved games of all time. I wish they would make it open for everyone or make a new game and not abandon it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best game ever. Fight me about it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite FPS's of all time. Had tons of fun back when more people were playing. It is a shame the servers are empty now. This truly was a hidden gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →make it great again ;_;
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! I have purchased this and installed it. It forces you to download a piece of garbageware called "Mania Planet." I won't get into that, please do go to forums and discussions about Mania Planet and make a reasoned decision about whether or not you want to infect your PC with it..... If you love Trackmania as much as i did you may be willing to make the trade-off....... This game Shootmania Storm simply doesn't work at all. When I start it it demands an update and after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Community! Best Movement! Best Game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've rarely played a game that felt more like a waste of my time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As best as I can tell, it doesn't work and there are no players online. You are forced to download many large updates through their custom client at a very slow rate before this ever becomes apparent. This extended download process counts again your play time. I spent about 20 minutes trying to join ANY server or custom server, but everything failed with an error about a missing file. A second, local server was not found in the local server browser, and all attempts at direct connection…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that deserves more recognition I would say! I have not played many hours in Steam, but the game outside of Steam I have hundreds, but I bought in Steam after. Graphics: The graphics are decent enough to look and say "Yeah, they are good and I like them" Overal the optimisation is there and the game runs smooth as butter. Audio: The audio itself fits the game well and it has some very good drawn in sounds that make it sound decent. Controls: The simplest controls I have ever learnt…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great. it just needs more players.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play this game basically every day when it came out, and some of my best memories are connected to it. The gameplay is quite unique because of the weapons and various maps created by players themselves and there are always ways to improve. There are different types of modes you can play as well and each of them is different. Plus, the community is one of the best I've come across in any multiplayer game. However, as many others have already mentioned, it's been dead for a few years…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a casual shooter.. The community is small but friendly!! I would definitely recommend this!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They should've worked on QuestMania instead... Rip in Pepperonios
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though there should be more people online, this game is very fun to play. The gameplay is quite different from any other shooter due to some unconventional gamemodes. And thanks to the level editor, you will be presented with new terrain for any new round. Like Trackmania, it's rather easy to pick up, but takes time to master. Note that there are no tutorials in the game. If you're a beginner, it's best to look for one on the web.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing ShootMania for a while now, and I have to say, I’m absolutely excited about the Speedball mode! The fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action is unlike anything else. But what really sets this mode apart is the amazing community that surrounds it. It's such a refreshing experience to be part of a group of players who are all about having fun and supporting each other. Whether it's high-fives after a great match or helping each other out with tips and strategies, the vibe here is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not gonna lie, but if Nadeo wants, they create a masterpiece. This game is clearly one of them, and I'm asking you... Not even asking, but saying that you must buy the game! It's literally something. It's a parkour, ctf game, a race and a runner! Due to the big number of community gamemodes, this game is a place to play with friends. Even with a small amount of players, the servers are still active, and to make it more active I'm doing anything what I can, and even stream the game. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PLEEEEAAAASEEE, CONTINUE DEVELOP THIS GAME, or make restart of the project. Make a rebrand of the game, a complete restart. Interest new players, and the old ones will return on their own. Every time I look at this game and I feel like crying because it's dead. Please note that despite the dead game, periodic old players write to you about wanting to play it, but this is impossible due to the lack of players in principle. Completely dead online
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great, but OMFG is the documentation of how to create a server utter ♥♥♥♥. Inept doesn't even begin to cover it. Nadeo has not been the same since they were absorbed into the Ubi collective. So sad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PLAY IT The best shooter I know and the first game apart from Minecraft that got me into gaming around 7 years ago. I bought it a second time on Steam just to be able to leave a review and animate people to play it. I really want it to survive! Currently, if you're European, you should always find enough people to play, although there aren't many left sadly. Please do not miss out on this phenomenal experience - it is fast, tight, balanced and has a ton of community-content including classic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Huge yes, one of the best competitive FPS I've ever played. My favourites mode (as i'm a beginner) are Royal Race and Combo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →He's dead, Jim.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead game. One of many. Get over it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game.. A very refreshing take on FPS's, it was so interesting and enjoyable with its unique mechanics.. But it just didn't get the publicity it needed to build a good community. So now it's one of those sleepers... because it was tossed into the R.I.P. grave with all those other great games that need a community - but the community is dead. RIP
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is far better than it had any right to be. If only it could have found a strong community.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fact you're still selling this for 20 euro in 2023 is malicious. It's my fault for not looking into what the game is more, but the name "Shootmania" heavily implies there's at least some single player time trial mode like the Trackmania games. There is nothing of the sort. It's a completely dead multiplayer game instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ShootMania is aptly named, a solid FPS with simple yet unique gameplay mechanics that don't come off as gimmicky at all, as the historian claims that this game will be a forgotten memory in the history of Ubisoft and also within the Battle Royale games, although it will remain a dead game, however it will remain a pride for everyone who still plays it, I invite the people of PUBG, Fortnite and Free Fire to compare the value of these games which constitute social ills with the unparalleled value…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't believe I haven't written a review for this hidden gem yet! This game is amazing! Not the shooting part of it though, the parkour part of it! Well for me at least. I believe this is probably the epitome of what good parkour is in a video game! Sadly the game is not very popular and the servers are a bit empty. BUT it doesn't really matter! As long as the servers are up you can go and do some parkour by yourself and try beating the record! I highly recommend this game! Don't miss out on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shootmania is one of the greatest game i have personally played. The only thing i dont like is how empty the game is. Not very many people play the game. you do get to know the people who still play the game though. i would recoment this game to anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome FPS game it has a few downsides like the ping is buggy with the new update that came 2 months ago but AMAZING game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when the community doesn't upload jack for a long time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One weapon. One goal. A fast paced shooter without redundant elements
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ShootMania Storm... one of my favourite games and I have the hours to prove it, it's my 3rd most played on Steam after all. The reason I am reserved about having game dev as a hobby is my taste in games is incredibly niche soundcloud.com/mickgordon/d...
unlabelledView post →Yup, Shootmania Storm. That, Stormgate, and Heroes of the Storm should have a game title mid-off.
unlabelledView post →nOT WORTH BUYING imo. i SAW VIDEOS OF ALL THESE COOL BATTLES ONLINE BUT NOW IT SEEMS LIKE THE GAME IS A GHOST TOWN AND WHEN THERE'S NO ONE ONLINE YOU PRETTY MUCH JUMP AROUND THE MAP LIKE A GOOBER UNTIL YOU GET BORED. YEAH THERE'S TRIAL TYPE THINGS YOU CAN DO BUT i BOUGHT THIS FOR THE PVP. Don't do it. I wish I could put the money I spent on this towards Tribes 3 instead. Lol PS Sorry for the caps lock typing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →despite age, great game with a greater community :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea is great, but it was poorly executed. Due to how ManiaPlanet (the engine ShootMania runs on) handles lag, there will be a severe amount of delay between an input and your player actually moving (for example, leftclicking takes forever before shooting a single blast). Since the only ShootMania servers are hosted in Europe, any players outside of that region will find it impossible to play due to high ping. This issue was never addressed since the game was released 7 years ago.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, especially the movement. The obstical community is still active.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best shooters out there. Very underrated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun, solid movement mechanics. Easy to learn, Hard to master.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best parkour game, don't @ me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually never play Shooters but ShootMania managed to get me with it's tactical elements. Sadly, the community died pretty fast after launch to the point where it's almost impossible to find any open game. Because of that I wouldn't really recommend it now but because I had a very good time with it back in the day, I'll give it a thumbs up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is a good game but no players online make it f2p pla and do ingame stuff
