60 of 192 · most liked firstLet me preface this review by saying two things: 1. I played this game for 11 hours and got every achievement. That means I went through THREE separate playthroughs (new game, new game+, new game++). I have seen EVERYTHING the game has to offer. 2. I became aware that there was a certain controversy attached to this game and that resulted in a lot of purchases, and positive reviews, to support the devs. I had no idea about any of this when I bought it. I enjoy both Cyberpunk and Asian horror,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is merely competent. It delivers on the most basic level and nothing more. While I can't find any reason to dislike the game outright, I don't see any reason to come back to this one either. A hardcore fan of Asian-themed traditional horror classics like Fatal Frame will certainly want to check this out though. Despite having cyberpunk in the title, the game massively downplays being cyberpunk overall. It is to the point where the game could be in literally any…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This should have been designed as a point and click game. Gameplay involves searching the map for items to solve puzzles but, because you control movement with a joystick and not a cursor, the developers made it so every interactive item reveals itself as you come close. Being able to pick up every item you find would make the game too easy, so instead you can only pick them up when you absolutely need them. This leads to situations where you find the item you need for a puzzle but can't pick…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thank you Top Hat Studios for staying strong to keep the original game uncensored and paid respect to the game developers art directions. It's the most important value to make a successful game or IP such as GTA and Mortal Kombat. Nowadays too many game publishers are letting customers or profits to override everything, even their core business value and believe is for sold at a price. For the game itself it's a unique experience with Asian horror and cyberpunk framework, very enjoyable to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a bit conflicted. On the whole, this is a good game. However, THIS IS NOT A CYBERPUNK GAME (maybe overall, but not most of the time you're playing it). [THE GOOD] - Great art style, especially the comic-style cutscenes - Most point and click stuff is reasonable and makes sense. Mei may not see something until she knows she's looking for it. - Neat monsters/ghosts. The doll one is especially creepy - Great soundtrack - Atmospheric and immersive - Bonus ghost story with a cool 2 meter…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, fellas, let’s address the elephant in the room. There’s a lot of fat tits in this game. It doesn’t take someone with their ear to the ground and their heart with the masses to see that younger generations are taking to puritanism like flies to ♥♥♥♥. Go ahead, take a trip through the comments of ANYTHING relating to the human form, whether it’s sexual or not. Hell, you’ll probably see it if it’s related to anything anime or drawn women. It’s gooner this, gooner that, gooner you,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game. The amount of back and forth is just dumb. You will walk past a spot multiple times. And every time you interact with it you'll get a kind of "nothing important here." But then you do a couple other things and you go to that spot again and suddenly "hey. i didn't see that before." Get out of here game. Run around seeing all these items to pick up. "Hey an item. Guess I'll just leave it here." run around do stuff. "if only i had a certain item. like the one i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's only a grain of cyberpunk element within the game despite its title. The game design is really bad. Do I really have to play the same thing thrice to see the true ending? wtf As a native Japanese speaker, I can say that the Japanese voice acting + script was awful. Do the devs not know that they have Japanese audiences? Definitely not worth the full price nor the sale price. You should only grab it if it's bundled with better games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though the atmosphere and design click perfectly the bugs and interface problems make it impossible to continue the game. I just can't enjoy it when I need to constantly check the forums about the proper solution because I accidentally picked up an item 3 seconds earlier than I should have.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its actually insane that this game has no sexual content, every few minutes they throw thicc ladies in ur face, that look like they came from the adult industry. Amazing art, the character designs and story is great, but it still boiled down to being a very boring walking simulator. Like in Corpse Party, the game decides to spawn items after a certain event happened, which means, if you decide to explore before progressing, you have to explore the same area yet again, because the chance is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game because I support the developers "no censorship" policy. I usually do pretty extensive research about the games I buy, but I thought "nah, I can sling them some cash out of respect." As the game goes, it's pretty good. Very basic, you go left or you go right, you find items and information which you then use to solve puzzles and progress; basic point n' click stuff minus the pointing. Gameplay is probably too basic for my tastes. You don't manually combine or use the items…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Going to be brutally honest here. This game starts off amazingly! Just... It falls apart after the half way point. You stop being scared as you learn how everything works. There are horribly thought out puzzles. One where I couldn't figure out because I can't read any Asian languages. There are typos, one set in a puzzle that makes it impossible to open unless you luck out or look at a walk through. Design choices that just don't make any sense. SPOILER!You are told to exorcise all the ghosts…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the game at the beginning and was very excited to play the game. The atmosphere and design are cool but after about a hour though, I was getting kinda bored. I REALLY don't like that certain things can only be interacted with properly when a cabinet or box gets opened or certain things need to happen before you can pick up something from an area you already interacted with. Walking back and forth between rooms and floors just shows this game doesn't have enough content for a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to give this game a chance, I REALLY did because I loved the concept of ghosts in a cyberpunk setting, especially using Asian urban legends and myths. I wholly support the devs standing up to Twitter puritans but the story for this game is just so weak I can't recommend this to anyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my personal opinion and should not discourage anyone from buying this game if they so desire. This game was gifted to me by my Girlfriend on my birthday. I naturally played through the entire thing at least once and now I am sharing my experience without spoiling. So I did not get too involved in the controvercy, but I have gotten the gist. Social justice warriors wanted to censor this game and "cancel" it. But devs said nope and moved on with it. It seems that for some reason got a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game out of spite, because several fans were very vocal about their distaste for the character designs. Maybe I'm inured to it, but it doesn't bother me a ton. That being said, I still wasn't particularly impressed. 1) For being "cyberpunk ghost story," it feels like the cyberpunk wasn't very important. It was a ghost story that could've been set in a modern setting, easily. 2) The gameplay left a lot to be desired. It was frequently buggy (not game-breakingly, but having certain…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Backtracking simulator 9000. Story isn't bad, but not that great either, art is pretty decent, problem is the gameplay. Literally 80% of the game is walking back and forth, because the game won't let you pick up items you're gonna need in 2 minutes, often at the other end of the map. Maybe it makes sense from a logic perspective that your character wouldn't just pick up some items, but from a gameplay perspective it's absolutely horrible design. One of the cardinal sins of games is wasting the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I initially heard of Sense due to a twitter debate on whether the women in this game are depicted appropriately or not and the devs stance on artistic freedom ultimately made me buy the game. As a result I wasn't too invested in the product itself and didn't expect much when I first started playing it with a friend of mine. However, it only took a the game an hour or so to fully grab our attention with a mixture of a rather unique setting, a quite bizarre artstyle and the generally…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sense - 不祥 的 预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story. This is my first review in english. But let's face it, thats nobody cares. You all want me to die. And I want it the most. Btw. I will compress the game shortly and lazily, in the three letters 'H'- Horror, Harlots and Hyper Future. Enjoy discovering dark secrets and cosplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to say this but i was looking forward to this game but got pretty annoyed and disappointed throught the game. This big tiddy ghost game is purely wanting you to run from A to Z at times, and the story is so randomly packed, that the ending gets no story or explanation whatsoever. Theres alot of questions open at the end of it. Aaaand on another note; the achievments are even worse, if you like completing stuff. So all in all, i recommend anyone whos interested in this to save their…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/neTtcC5yBCg Overly linear in it's structure cause the experience to be less horror and more paint by numbers as each step is prescriptively resolved.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has some very good things going for it. The visuals are nice and atmospheric. The story is intriguing and there are a few genuine scares here and there. Unfortunately, while the number of issues it has is relatively small, they're big enough that detract too much from the overall experience for me to continue playing or recommend it. Perhaps the smallest issue is the misleading title. The amount of cyberpunk in this game is so small you're likely to even foget this is supposed to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite having an interesting premise, this game is buried under a number of flaws that has deflated much of my interest in finishing the game. The first noticeable issue is that it's a hassle to navigate the PDA menu while using a gamepad which comes up quite often considering the number of items you pick up and journal entries you create. You can scroll up to repeatedly cycle through the major categories, such as journal, inventory, map, etc., but when attempting to scroll down, you get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cyberpunk and ghosts sounds good, unfortunately its unbelievably boring and repetitive all you do is run around from room to room picking random crap up its not scary at all. Total waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now this game's title is a little misleading. Depending on how you interpret it you might get a completely wrong idea on what to expect which can hamper your enjoyment so I'll clear that up first. If you go into this expecting cyberghosts, digital consciousness and other such things that usually come with the cyberpunk territory you're not gonna get them. This is a supernatural ghost story that happens to take place in a cyber dystopia. The cyberpunk is there, but it's not the game's main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of a mixed bag for me, though overall I appreciate enough of this especially considering the scale of the team to give this a thumbs up. It's moody, tells an interesting story and there's some fun old-school P&C adventuring to find here. I like the setting. Hong Kong, Cyberpunk, what's not to like! I also like the art style a lot, it's not very professional, there's room for improvement quality-wise, but I like the colorful and grungy cyberpunk art style. Mostly, I like the character…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty disappointing as a horror game and mediocre as an adventure game. The kind of game where you solve a puzzle several steps ahead of the game but still have to go through the motions of running around and clicking on everything until the game lets you solve it. Honestly wouldn't even recommend it on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it seems like a cool game, but the coding is atrocious. every other puzzle is either bugged or the code's logic doesn't allow you to interact with the puzzle because you haven't done a different arbitrary unrelated task. I believe I am now softlocked as I can no longer get to the room I need to let the game know I need to go pick up another item because it's guarded by a ghost and I can't pick up the other item because the game won't let me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really tried to like this game, but unfortunately it’s just… not very good. It looks great visually, but that’s about the only good thing I have to say about it. My first major complaint is that it’s basically just a very generic horror game, set in a world with a cyberpunk aesthetic; it doesn’t really utilize or make use of the cyberpunk setting in any meaningful way, other than just how the characters and locations look. I think this is a major let down, I can see so much potential…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →People see massive chests and lose their ♥♥♥♥. Meanwhile I play this game for the story and mechanics and genuinely had a good time. Not a great time, but it was at least fun enough coming from someone that's a sissy for horror. Also, this is mature and heetai? Y'all don't know what the actual stuff is and this is coming from someone that's reviewed Mutiny!! with a straight face. I got this game over the controversy and man people love to complain. The character is fine, the setting actually…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Top Hat Studios posted on twitter that they weren't going to censor the game when it released and that act stuck this game in my mind. I bought it recently, finally got around to it and its a fun horror adventure game in the same vain like Clock Tower. The atmosphere was genuinely good and I was sincerely scared at some points, I thought the game was going to do cheap jump scares but it didn't and that's really impressive for an indie game. The bad part about this game is the sheer amount of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun horror game that doesn't take itself too seriously and has a really sincere focus on Cantonese folklore. My favorite parts of the game were the attention to detail that focused on culture, beliefs, traditions, and the lives of the people who lived in the broken down apartment building you find yourself trapped in. It was a fresh, unique take that ended up pulling me in and keeping me engaged even when I ran into problems. Besides this, the exploration, designs, sound, collectables, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sense - 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is a console ported 2D retro/Flash like point and click adventure game. Some elements of the game are pixelated in an attempt to make the game look worse on purpose, the rest of the graphics are so/so, but poorly animated using Unity's deprecated Anima2D asset pack. The game claims to be a "Cyberpunk" game but it isn't... it just has some Cyberpunk "flavour elements". It's more of an eastern "horror" adventure game with a few spooky moments and a few…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was one of the people that bought the game following the controversy. Wanted to support publishers that backed their developers you know? But besides that, this is still a good game on its own. While it may not be as detailed as other horror survival games, its still entertaining and has a great sense of mystery within it. I haven't played many horror games before, so this served as a really satisfying introduction to the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tedious and Non-shocking More like a Walking Simulator.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The same reason as others. I bought it to support the developer. And i love big tiddy beautiful ladies anyway so it's a win win for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't of heard about this game if not for the nontroversy, neither would I of brought it. It's a rough puzzler that had me checked out after the fetch quest. I believe this game has gotten a lot of undeserved attention - for good and for bad. So the game has you collect stuff to solve puzzles. However the main character needs to know what items to pick up - you can't just hoard stuff and use it on whatever. For instance, there is a plastic crate lying around, but you can't pick it up…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The paper doll animation is not scary. The gooner-bait character designs are not scary. The still image slide show cut scenes are not scary. I'm sorry, dude, but I can't take a horror game seriously like this. Try respecting women a little more and being less horny with your art and you could probably do something serious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I reluctantly recommend this game. it's not a bad game, but there are many flaws. The game is like meeting different ghosts, and then you try to find ways to pacify them without getting killed. You can find a few hints about what happened, but the story is wanting. The story is there as an excuse to make a horror game. There are no jump scare or randomization. There is so much more they could have done. Once you beat it, there isn't a lot to do other than uninstall. I like the art style…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art style is a reminder of the old flash animation days of Newgrounds. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, but if that isnt your jam this games visuals will likely annoy you. I found the backgrounds and busy environment interesting, but that was about all I found interesting. After playing over an hour I had spent more time backtracking and reclicking the same items over and over and over. It really just feels like an outdated point and click adventure with nothing new to add. If you like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Praise Top Hat Studios! And ♥♥♥♥ the SJW and cancel culture!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game boils down to two things at the end of the day, tits and ghosts. But in all seriousness, a strong narrative drawing from eastern religious practices, an interesting art style which catches the eye, and a well developed lore all lend themselves to a fantastic gaming experience. The game however slips up when it comes to pacing, the horror, the combat and the climax. While the games art holds it up and allows for ease of play, the game can feel a bit loose in terms of letting you know…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the visuals and the scare build up is great. Takes me back to games I played as a kid in the 90s.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why are all the female sprites so out of proportion? I mean, it's NOT EVEN sexy, it's just shameful. I don't play it in front of some people because it really makes me feel ashamed. Are the devs, by any chance, 14 years-old boys that get excited with unreal-manga-anime-girls?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horror story in a futuristic city with a well endowed waifu protagonist.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game launches but as soon as I try to start a game, nothing happens and it and it stops registering my key presses and I can't click on anything.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sense A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is a 2.5 D horror game made by Suzaku and published by Top Hat Studios Inc. It's pretty much a horror and detective game, a walk and clic game. Your first playthrough should be around six hours. I noticed this game after the controversy and then got it at a sale. I was expecting more due the controversy, it's pretty tame for what a cyberpunk world can be (and there are bigger breasts out there). I was also disappointed by the lack of cyberpunk content. Only the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A point and click adventure game with elements of cyberpunk and asian supernatural phenomena underlying the overall style of the game. Although everything is very well done, the animations are a bit janky with a few puzzles that are obscure to solve. The best parts of the game are of course the well-endowed main character and NPC's that the developers went ahead with, we men and women of culture greatly respect that decision and many of us in turn bought this game for that reason. Sure, there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Streisand effect brought this game to my attention. Bought the game just to support these guys telling the SJW "virtue signalers" to pound sand. The game is worth buying for those that like adventure/story type games with some exploration mixed in. Not my particular cup of tea... but yea... stick in the eye of the SJW idiots. I hope these guys make enough to money to wave it in their faces with a big ole smirk!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked Sense. It really feels like you are playing an old school survival horror game. It is a mix between Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame. If you have played these games, I'm sure you will like Sense. I am going to be honest, this game is not for everyone. It appeals to a narrow audience. Gameplay is focused on exploration and puzzle solving. You fight some ghosts here and there but action is minimal. After you finish the game for the first time you unlock new game plus and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came here to vote with my wallet and stick it to the sjws, stayed for the classic gameplay and horror. Seriously tho, this game is pretty fun, like and old point and click adventure games. You have to criss-cross the map for items you have to combine and use to unlock new locations. As like old point and click adventure games it can get quite confusing but is not as bad as a lot of the older point and click 90s games, but you can get lost sometimes. The story is a real banger though. I had…
