RIVE
Developer Two Tribes
Rive is a platforming shoot-em-up game created by the Dutch video game company Two Tribes for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux and Nintendo Switch, and is the first major release by the company after the company's downsizing and closure of their primary development team in late 2013. The game was unveiled in July 2014, after a long time of quiet development of the game that originated as a 3D shooter… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

The GUIDB is proudly anti-AI and will always champion humans, no matter what!

unlabelledView post →It currently is, but I'm going to spin up multiple windows. I have a nice Pico8 setup where I can use the game and editor side by side, and they read / write to a local config. I'm looking forward to getting imGUI hooked up, and I'm also hoping to get Rive working for my in-game UI

unlabelledView post →Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but Rive has a free tier for individuals. It's meant for game ui animation, but it looks like it can do some pretty neat stuff
unlabelledView post →Result ✅ All transitions work ✅ Score is passed between screens ✅ UI is modular ✅ Game runs entirely inside Rive, no outside JS or frameworks Is it practical for full games? Maybe not yet (Waiting for that in Rive code panel 😉😉). But it’s powerful for interactive design & prototypes.
