Already so many issues. Controller doesn't work, though it is recognized and messes up input from keyboard & mouse - so you have to disconnect the controller completely. Once you window/full screen/resize and restart the game... it no longer works. Crash on load. Literally cannot play the game. (Similar experience with the demo) Dev answers some minor, really irrelevant, questions while ignoring important game impacting ones. The "healing" system is already flawed. And obnoxious. You have…

I was really excited for this game. Looks like Fell Seal Arbiter. But the game immediately in the first few hours left a bad taste in my mouth. The progression in the game is based on attrition. So you can't just heal your characters. This will immediately result in you possibly becoming permanently stuck in the game, which is a horrible design. Then the maps have extra goals on them that give you points to progress your characters. Achieving these goals requires being risky, which makes the…

[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38553778-All-about-Strategy-Games/] Follow my Curator Page for more Strategy Games! Reverie Knights Tactics is a turn-based and story-rich strategy game with RPG elements. Story Goblins conquered your lands. Now it's your turn to conquer it. That's about it in very short. I don't think the story is very good nor original so I'll keep it at that. It's pretty generic but not that bad either. The good thing is, that you have several decisions to…

It's probably worth holding off on this for a bit. The combat is satisfying to a point but everything else is definitely lacking. Unless you're really hurting for a new tactics game, this one can be skipped over. Good: Has a satisfying difficulty curve, at least at the start Each map has unique challenges for bonus rewards Some environmental objects & treasure chests to enhance/distract from your strategy Abilities feel powerful and useful from the beginning Team Attacks & Ultimate Moves Most…

I'm all for a good, addictive isometic turn based strategy RPG. Though, with this one I'm very much on the fence. It looks like it's setup for some nice things, but once you get into it, you notice it needs some improvements right away. Graphically it reminds me of Fell Seal, but looks better. You can customize characters by unlock skills as you level up and then you can choose which skills to equip (up to three). There's also a 'choices matter' system which supposedly affects dialog and…

Loved Fell Seal Arbiter but this one wasnt quite there for me. The decision to not allow units to heal outside of combat makes no sense to me. Constantly downing potions between fights or during if you forget. Also the characters and story telling are quite childish (like maybe aimed for a younger audience?) So it wasnt very intriguing.

Reverie Knights Tactics is a new tactical role playing game which was developed by 40 Giants Entertainment. You are Aurora, a young cleric of Tanna-Toh, who is on an expedition to the city of Lennorian to find her father. He was sent there to gather Elven knowledge but is stuck in the middle of a war between the Elves and Goblins. He has been missing for quite some time and there has been no contact with his group since they left. Through this coming of age journey, you meet 3 other companions…

At this stage, I would definitely not recommend the game. Some immediate points sticks out like a sore thumb. Pros: • It's a new tactics game on the market. If you are craving one, gameplay isnt absolutely terrible. • Combat tries to be innovative, with some form of environmental interaction. Cons • The artwork isn't fantastic. Perhaps its personal taste, but some cut-ins are just flat out ugly. But it's not consistent either, other scenes are pretty decent. • Writing is... convenient and…

I am a fan of Fell Seal, having done multiple playthroughs, so I was quite excited when I saw this game come out. After a few hours playing, I found this game to be a bit of a let-down. The characters are rather one-dimensional, and having status (health/mana) progress maintained between battles means that you need to do regular replays of maps to avoid getting into an downward spiral for managing items if the battle didn't go well. The resource management aspect of the game is a cause of…

Just nothing about this game makes me want to play it. I love SRPGs any can usually overlook things like bad story or difficulty spikes if something else keeps me engaged but there's nothing "good" about the game. It's not all bad, it's just a mix of "average" and "bad". Strategy is supposed to be about the choices you make but this game ruins that. Some enemies have an alert range and will become aware of you only if you enter their range. That's fine but even if you walk through it,…

Even though the art style is beautifull the rest of the game is mostly unsatisfying. It has that feeling of a mobile game. Come on, how is this game getting 8/10 ratings, when it is at most a 5/10, is somehow strange at minimum. The puzzle combat is not well implemented to the point you gotta avoid killing stuff just to complete objectives! I don't think it can be improved to become a great game although it might become decent somewhere down a long road if the devs are willing to put that much…

I don't know what the other reviewers are whining about, this game is not difficult at all. In fact, compared to other tactical games such as Advance Wars, Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, this game is very simple while offering a decent challenge. There are no time limits, no permadeaths, no min-maxing, no "statistics", just an overall pleasant and stress-free ride. If you're someone used to tactical RPGs you'll likely breeze through the game even on hard. For those not used to the…

This game is unfortunately a very bland and boring tactics rpg. Little to no customization on characters, no ability to hire units. No classes to change to. Combat often seems too difficult considering you either have to use potions to heal up or return to camp after every battle. The story is also less than desirable and I frequently find myself skipping the dialog.

Interesting game, but for a 15 hours game (with full stars on every combat) and the game features, 25 Euros is way to expansive... There is not much to offer except a little story and some fights (with the 4 characters levels). Outside fights, there is really nothing to do.

I am saying no to a recommendation as you gt far far to little in the way of recovery items and it is the only way to recover hp/mp if you do really bad in one or two fights you might end up not being able to go any farther in the game. There is no way to buy items everything is or seems luck based on wither you get any items for this and the camp does not let you rest to recover even though it is a camp. I can say the game is really only good and fun for those that are really good at tactics.…

Overall Reverie Knights is a fun, short game with flaws. The good: Combat is well done and enjoyable. Soundtrack is lovely. Art is beautiful. The characters are distinct and their personalities pop. The order/chaos system of decisions is neat. It's not as fully developed as Dragon Age for example but for how short the game is it's a cool feature. The bad: The game is really, really short. I beat it in 12 hours on normal difficulty. My early impressions are kind hard to take this game seriously. Warrior who fights by Bashing people with their Shield and no Weapon? Cook, who serves only Candy? The plot felt promising, "decisions matter" etc.... yet you get into the game and are immediately confronted with seemingly stupid, immersion breaking "comedy???" I got tired of parts of this with Goofey in Kingdom Hearts.... anyone who is ranked as a Knight should have an actual weapon? A serious letdown, in wanting a good story…

while i wouldnt consider this game bad it most certainly isnt great, very basic and simple character builds, no real variety and the objectives in battle are more annoying than challenging especially since there doesnt seem to be a way to grind so you have to do them to get the extra exp. It also says full controller support but dont count on that, for some reason the controller only works somewhat when the game isnt the selected window and theres some things you actually cant do at all with…

Playing Reverie Knights Tactics and I do not think this is a game for everyone. You need to be kinda specifically a sicko for late 90s rpgs where the way you win is by understanding what the developer was thinking. But it *is* cool if you can get past this. store.steampowered.com/app/1399690/...

ok, first up don't look at that hour count. There was a discrepancy from Steam Deck and the PC (I played it all on Steam Deck) and it cut the hour count to match the PC. I finished the game around 7-8 hours. Reverie Knights Tactics is a strategy RPG from 40 Giants Entertainment, from what I can tell this is their first outing. This game is fairly short by srpg standards, but I actually think that helps them in this case. But I’ll get to that. Technically, it runs perfectly fine. No problems…

A fun little RPG tactics game. Play on Normal (the hardest difficulty) and commit to completing all optional objectives during every mission for a good challenge. Worth it at $20 or less for fans of the genre. The only gripe I have is that I softlocked during combat several times after using a skill. The cast animation just stopped and the game would never continue on. Fortunately, restarting a battle is quick and not much progress was lost overall.

I'm giving this one a thumbs up, because there's nothing negative about it, but it's very bland compared to many other tactics offerings. The story is straightforward and not very long (10hrs), with only a small handful of optional quests (3?) and some dialog choices. The max level is 12. There isn't tons of monster variety or skill options and it starts to feel repetitive, but ends before it gets too bad. Overall, a simple turn based strategy game that feels like a part 1 in something that…

AT it's current state, it is just not really fun. Few healing items, and the difficulty just ramps up real fast in the beginning. Then the "optional" objectives you can get to give your characters upgrade points makes it even more difficult. I loved Fell seal, but this one fell way off the mark.

If you liked Final Fantasy Tactics, then you loved Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, and you you'll love this game too. It is a bit different than Fell Seal, but it has all the tactical RPG aspects you look for in this genre. For example, the hand drawn art is beautiful! I like that normal difficulty isn't too easy--so bored with easy RPGs.

So, let's see the Steam achievement percentage for solving the Alderandil tree puzzle, a progression essential puzzle roughly two hours into the game. 30% Yeah. Reverie Knights Tactics is a puzzle game. You may note that I did not say tactics game or rpg or anything like that. It is a puzzle game. And not a breezy puzzle tactics rpg like Druidstone. Reverie Nights Tactics sits right on the edge of "fun" but doesn't quite get there. The combat mechanics, story, player loops, etc are all decent... but it's tough to play a "tactics" style game that doesn't let players choose their player mix, and even harder to enjoy the genre when the main character is really obviously just Harry Potter in a skirt. I can't get passed that detail, it's worse than all the others. The whole game feels like drag-themed Harry Potter fan fiction. It's tough to…

The graphics are beautiful. I have seen one or two glitches (animations facing the wrong way based on the attack), but no significant bugs. I like the ease of controlling everything, it is very intuitive. On Normal mode, it is challenging. You likely will die and repeat battles often, but nothing that can't be beaten eventually. Haven't finished it yet, but close to the end. It is definitely good for a few days of play. Not sure how re-playable it is, especially since there are four…

I enjoyed this game a lot. It is a relatively short tactical puzzle RPG just under 10 hours long even if you chat with every NPC and do not miss fights. There is a simple alignment system (Order/Chaos) based on your dilogue decisions that affects your skill choice and which of the 2 endings you get. To be clear there are no good or bad endings, they are just different. Th artstyle is very pleasant with vibrant colors and smooth drawn animations. The worldbuilding is honestly great for such a…

I couldn't get through the second combat . I won't say its a bad game because I clearly didn't get far enough. Another instance of steam needing a third option than pass or fail. This is a solid little mid tier SRPG, its takes roughly 10 hours to see the ending. It is a game not without it flaws but I feel the current version is fun shorter experience in the genre. We take on the role of a team of 4 battle goblinoid creatures for the elven homeland the story is quite simple but passable and some of the characters interactions are fun. The battle system is a quite standard for the genre, using an "I go You Go" formula and a 2 point AP system (Action points) to manage you…

One of the better SRPGs I've played in a hot minute. Everything, from the graphics, to the music, to the story, to the level design and core gameplay - is all outstanding. It's very obvious how much effort and care was put into EVERYTHING in this game. I've played many soulless, uninspired SRPGs, and this is not one of them! The game takes time to get excited, but once the player learns all the combat mechanics, the game becomes quite fun but still challenging. The story takes place in the world of Arton, world of the Brazilian tabletop RPG Tormenta. For those who know this world previously, in my case, I believe that the story is quite fun, although nothing innovative. The main negative point is the puzzles which are uninteresting and frustrating.
