The developers opened a claim forum to all affected owners of the original so they could get a replacement key to this version at no cost. Game mechanics and personal preferences aside, that's a solid integrity move in this age of scams and greed. Thumbs up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.5/10 for the lack of any real choice in combat it may as well be an auto battler this is a remake of a game that was banned form the steam store, no idea why here do this quest that's in this one run of a dungeon no way to get what they want if you clear the entire thing. here do this different new quest that's in this one run of a dungeon no way to get what they want if you clear the entire thing. - white mages cant do ♥♥♥♥ if everyone has full health, no basic attack even at level 5 -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somehow more unbalanced and buggy than the "original." Nothing like having 2-3 grave keeper normal enemies with 100% stun on normal attacks to stun lock your team to death. No idea what was even changed or improved, but seems way worse then I remember.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The unit level system only gives some basic stat ups. And it takes a LONG time to level them up. Over 1.4 hours I gained 1 level. And all that did was give a few attribute points automatically allocated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you ever played a game such as Dark Quest 2, you'll know partially what your getting into because Sin Slayers borrows a lot from it. If you haven't, then stick around and ill sum it up for you! You start in a town hub, which in this case is a church. Here you will form your party of 3, purchase or craft items, get your quests etc... then when your ready, you will exit the church to the world map where you choose your dungeons. This is the whole game in a nutshell. Dungeons are tile based and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sin Slayer: Reign of the 8th is a Turn-Based action RPG where a ton of action can be expected! It fails under the same problems that most of its genre, being overly repetitive, but with its lore, it keeps delivering a pretty good experience. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee I love story-driven games. They catch my attention and make me play more than I should. Sin Slayer is one of those cases. It has a pretty solid universe with various remarkable characters and enemies. Where I…

Fight monsters and explore areas to gain loot for crafting. Addictive gameplay. Challenging battles with variety of monsters and bosses. Complete quests, make encounter choices and more. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaunch of a really nice game. Kinda grindy from time to time but it is good. Played the original for dozens of hours. It stats a bit slow but the pace improves greatly after a short while. Needs maybe one or two mob tweak to make it less frustrating but I think the devs will handle this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game! The spirit of the classic old school games and quite modern gameplay. The graphics are nice, and I haven't run into any bugs (or at least, not yet). Looking forward to the sequel!!!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the demo, but not the game. It becomes quite grindy, and the combat lacks depth/complexity.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could've been cool, but I ran into a strange bug where there damage text would no longer appear. Most of the fonts in the game are blurry. The art assets also have some sort of blurriness to them, but other things like backgrounds and UI look sharp. Lots of inconsistencies. The combat also felt a bit stale. After my 8th fight of doing the same thing, I kind of gave up. Why can the healer only cast healing spells? She has zero offence and just acts as a meat-shield. I didn't see a level…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grind, xp, grind, loot, grind, craft. Decent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do recommend this painfully mediocre game, but I regret contributing to the "mostly positive" rating. The game itself is basically Dark Quest with a hint of Darkest Dungeon flavor thrown in (well, not really flavor. Maybe just a smell). At the same time, it won't scratch either itch. All of the complaints already listed exist. Mainly the UI being a nightmare. I haven't been playing long enough to say definitively, but I still feel like I've already seen what this game has to offer, enough…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun. It has a lot of build diversity, the progress felt good, there is some depth in the strategies you can pull, and the art is pretty cool. It has some problems with balance, some enemies perma-cc or OTK your characters, which is frustrating and sometimes can end your run. Even so, I enjoyed playing this game very much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is nice to see this game again on Steam.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sin Slayers: Reign of The 8th is a dark fantasy roguelite RPG developed and published by Goonswarm Games that expands upon the ideas introduced in the original Sin Slayers while modernizing its systems and structure for a deeper and more replayable experience. The game blends turn-based combat, party management, and procedurally generated exploration within a grim world shaped by the corruption of human vice. Rather than presenting a traditional linear RPG adventure, the game embraces roguelite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sin Slayers is a fun roguelite journey based on the Seven Deadly Sins. I very much enjoyed the premise and aesthetic. I found some mechanics obtuse and some misses: - Why is an oil blob not weak to fire but a succubus is? (there are tons of examples of this) - why doesn't rage persist between fights? - The scaling is out of whack in late Act III and Act IV - It's unclear as to what characters are good against what - Mob diversity and animation are lackluster after a while - Sound effects…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game thanks to the aesthetic, but it just can't compete. A game with a great aesthetic and good music like this needs an actual story, complex fighting mechanics, and intuitive UI. As it is, I'm not really sure why it exists. Why put in the effort to make this, but then not put in the effort to make it interesting? This should be a phone game with an advertisement for car insurance at the bottom of the screen. It's sad because the music is interesting and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Balancing on this game is extremely bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Music is great and the story is top notch. If you beat the original there is more content for you now. otherwise it is a good dungeon crawler to like, beat and ponder.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very simplistic turn based RPG. It has okay story, very simplistic but okay mechanics. If you play this game, don't put the animations on 5x speed from the start, because looking at them is actually satisfying, you can ramp them up by 0.5 every time you want them faster. I like that the enemy stats are hidden the first few times you encounter them. I think you also need to hit an enemy once with a damage type to have the info if the enemy is weak/strong in defense against that type.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the most interesting games in its genre, featuring original and captivating graphics and design. In era of clones, such games feel like a breath of fresh air! I’m genuinely happy that someone still creates games like this. Wishing the development team great success.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game so far, no bugs and smooth gameplay, right up my alley! 🔥

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/r23Fze3OTdE Significantly limited in early game options and progress the initial investment to make meaningful or even any real choices is far to steep.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →La idea estaba bien, la ejecución no tanto. Siento que no hay forma de jugar a esto y ver una progresión o un escalado razonable. Sé que no he jugado demasiado pero es que aunque lo intente termino cerrándolo al poco.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addictive game works great on imac balanced game play and the bosses are no pushovers... well early game anyway art is defo top notch music is ok generic I guess but not annoying at all...kinda good background music the different types of enemies keep it fresh as do attacks before u know it ....your addicted lol
