60 of 176 · most liked firstThis game sucks. I enjoyed the first game and this one sounds promising. But to be honest: It's very buggy and the team mates are too dumb to follow your orders. They get stuck, too. Stay around and get slain. Amazing gameplay. Bugs: Mainly I am stuck. I play using RTS (right click to position, character moves automatically) and suddenly my character stands on a tire. I cant leave that tire or any other obstacle. I don't even know how you can stand there when you can't leave the place again.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was a fun and interesting game before the latest 3.0 patch, but sadly a couple of old players with zero knowledge of game design are influencing the devs decisions and ruining variety and replayability in this game, creating a very narrow environment where only a select few skills and playstyles are valid, in their own words, "the game is a spreadsheet and not meant to be fun" so take that as you will. If the current direction changes, i will gladly change my review to represent those changes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool idea but disappointing on everything it tries to do. Makes me regret my determination on finishing games. Glitches everywhere, everything is barely working and really janky, everything is as basic and unimpressive at everything, no consequence whatsoever to anything, just a billion auto-generated copy-pasted survival missions with careful no-fun-allowed builds and unpredictable difficulty spikes on top of jank. Multiplayer experience may save it but progression for MP is broken and forces…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've come back to this game several times hoping that things would be better, but no. The tutorial is essentially "let's throw all the infos at you at once via dialogs and clicking continue and we hope you remember it all". Even the initial mission, which is essentially somewhat of a tutorial gets it wrong. One of the first choices is RTS or WASD controls. I've tried both, but upon choosing WASD the tutorial proceeds to show RTS info - which is all wrong for WASD mode. And then there's all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game concept destroyed by bugs and horrible game balance UPDATE 2024-10-01: The bug affecting the assignment of left and right arrow keys for controls has been fixed. If the game receives an overhaul of its bad game design choices and horrible balance at some point in the future, I will update my review to a positive one accordingly. In the meantime, this one stays up. The devs like to pander to a miniscule super-hardcore-everything-needs-to-be-ultra-hard kind of audience, which only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty solid game held back by annoying DLC practices but, most importantly, some very serious bugs. As of writing this review, I’ve got about 15 hours in the game. Less true gameplay hours if you exclude the time I or someone else was in a menu modifying builds or managing the xcom-esque research system. In this time I have encountered many experience dampening bugs. These range from the commonplace, like people getting stuck in terrain forever if they get too close, to the more inane, such…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it fun to play multiplayer with friends but the campaigns(include most of DLCs campains) are so janky, unbalanced, too many bugs. feel lack of testing, a unfinished product
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR hot fixes that break the game more, Nerfs you into unfun "meta" builds, screws you over big time for playing solo, all balanced for online players who played since the start of the game and now only play skirmish who disregard any other feedback other then their own, crappy severs that don't even let you finish a online game avoid this game I wish i could refund The newest patch introduced a ton of bugs and nerfs to classes with no sizeable buffs too classes (you get one extra slot in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Let us revive the game with some extra nerfs" - Some idiot of a dev. Honestly not worth touching now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has issues and no updates in 9 months.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty much abandoned at this point, many bugs in the game, just go buy hell divers 1, better gameplay and just a solid game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game type, but hate the bugs. I keep getting a bug that makes me unable to move. And then the annoying weapon swap sound that never ends sometimes, so much noise when it's not supposed to be there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Again "mixed" from me. It's a 50/50 yes it's very, fun but it has a lot of flaws. However if you're good with learning things and you got friends to play with, then it's worth a look. Personally **I like this game**, but after finishing the main campaign I can't recommend this to others as it has a lot of flaws. This game is a top down "helldivers 1" with a bit more freedom of customization and such. The problem with helldivers 1 (which I still like, don't get me wrong) is the camera is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is simply not fun. walking simulator with guns, repeated maps, side mission, super slow walking units. all class feel more or less the same, all guns can be used by all classes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked this game when it first came out. It was a lot of fun, both with friends and with randoms. I thought the game mechanics and the class builds were fun to play around with. But what makes this game a hard no for me is the player base. They single-handedly ruined the game for me. The randoms that I played with were extremely "particular" about who was on their team. If you didn't join their lobby with the exact class and build they wanted you to play they would kick you within five…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the idea of the game and for the most part, its pretty good but i get stuck in random walls constantly on every level which forces me to force quit the matches. Such an annoying bug. If this ever gets fixed, i'm all for playing the game again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really should like this game. But every time I try to play multiplayer, there's at least one disconnect or crash. Every time. Nothing is explained. I even played the tutorial a second time to see if I missed anything, but nope. Just zero explanation of anything useful. Missions are fun enough, even if I don't know what's going on or why. I think I really need someone who already knows the game inside and out to explain it, since there's nothing in game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(edited) i change my mind, i was recommending this game but now i DONT reccomend this game. and after i did a lot of reviews this is my first time i dont recommend a game. this is the reason: after i lost in campaign and lost everything i spent time there, i tried skirmish, it gives skill poin and requisition points which can be used to unlock stratagem (i thought of helldivers stratagem, i was wrong), the painful truth is: it gives so little reward! you need 70 points to unlock harv vehicle,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommended! TRS2 is an awesome Isometric, sci-fi, class-based, cooperative PVE strategy game. The multiplayer (skirmish) feature of the game supports up to 8-player teams, you control a single "hero" in a fireteam who's role and combat suit are all of your design. TRS2 also has campaigns, which can be played cooperatively with friends as well. I'm not sure what to call the genre, I think of them as "strategic RPGs." There's not a lot of games out there that offer the experience the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game and unfortunately made two other friends buy it with me. The game's menus are extremely confusing, and the point distribution system is laughable. In skirmish mode (which was the focus of our purchase), it's almost impossible to get requisition points, even playing in normal mode. I like the design, but the implementation of everything in the game is too simple and often poorly done, to be honest. The character is too slow even with speed buffs, the vehicles are terrible, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game. Well worth the money at full price. There is a high learning curve, but once you understand the mechanics and take the time to learn it is a lot of fun. In my opinion you should take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt, as this isn't a pick it up and learn it in 5 minutes type of game. The campaign plays similar to xcom/phoenix point/etc. but with the combat being real time instead of turn based, which fits this style of gameplay well. I mainly play the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Semi play through edition Game is worth $3.00 max +Voice cast is relatively okay +The first Red Solstice was actually fun -Story -DLC is way over priced -Garage is locked behind mercs dlc. FU!! -Combination of StarCraft and Xcom 2. Both ideas failed. -Research upgrades to get better weapons. How about just earning credits or whatever money, this games uses and just buy the damn weapons. -Red Solstice 2 has no redeeming value whatsoever. -You would think with tons of enemies to fight. The game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Red Solstice 2: Survivors takes place in the distant future. Humanity has left Earth to colonise Mars, but a virulent mutagen called STROL has taken hold of the Red Planet and transformed many organisms into huge, bloodthirsty mutants. As an Executor of “Cell”, it’s your job to lead a team of heavily-armoured heroes and liberate Mars from the grip of the mutants. You fight your way through scattered pockets of resistance, and rendezvous with three others. Each of you has a unique class, a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is this game? Well, it's literally real-time XCOM2 when playing the campaign(s). While I'm very aware that both games in the franchise are based on the classic Warcraft3 Custom Maps (Dawn of the Dead and Co.), it's still the best comparison one could make. The strategic layer is almost a 1 to 1 cheeky copy of XCOM2's and I like it. Price is also stellar especially after picking up the Game+SeasonPass bundle for 25 moneys.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This could be an awesome game. The graphics and mechanics are great. However as many of you have mentioned, the spawn rate and spawn centres are insane. I tried it on easy and i still got mobbed and killed. I have tried to attack spawn centres and still died from an unending deluge of enemies. When you are revived, they sit around and then kill you again. Fix this and the ratings will get way better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanted to like this game but after playing single player for a while, the game becomes too frustrating/difficult - every ability and weapons never feel powerful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy this game, though it is not for the faint of heart unless you play on easy mode and with low infestation. This game is incredibly complex and definitely has a couple bugs but this genre is a long time favorite of mine dating back to a warcraft 3 custom game called NOTD/Undead Assault. I encourage people to try out all sorts of builds and ways of playing the game. The only downside is the game doesnt have many players left and is best played in my opinion in a large team of 8.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time in. Got on discount. Boring, linear, buggy. Getting permastuck in terrain is common thing. Inventory darkened for stylizing reasons prevent from using items comfortably. Fight is shooting regularly respawning single cell organisms to the point that meeting enemy shooting projectiles or having stun attack is making levels less boring. No from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, due to bugs and non-intuitive parts of the game, it really ends up feeling lackluster.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I "was" having fun. But this is getting stupid. I died because I can't shoot over a rail. I can't Use thrusters over some obstacles "because". I get stuck on stairs, barricades, and weird objects forcing me to keep thrusters as a last ditch escape "work around". Your character can get "stuck" facing one direction. If you are stuck so is your team and they stop shooting too "unless" the enemy is where your character is facing. Move, FreeRotateCamera "cannot" be remapped even though…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this game or at least I really tried to like it but from the singleplayer point of view it is unbelievably repetitive, Eclipse story missions are far apart from each other and you have to do many secondary missions to maintain low infection level which is very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ repetitive because there are not that many to begin with and gets boring easy. 80h in and I kinda got bored of doing the same missions again and again. Game is good but it could have been much much better in my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good isometric xcom-esque game, based on a starcraft custom map. With the ability to customise different soldiers, level them up, get them gear, research even more gear to equip AND the full planet of mars, that needs to be put back into earths control, slowly retaking territory with outposts, this is one hell of a blast :) Very good enemy unit variety with full description of each one for gamers appreciating a wee bit o' the old lore. This is a very good game, 8/10 from me.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game is good to waste time, but how come year 2020-21 i can play it offline now, it seems impossible without internet, thats a bummer
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is... perfectly *fine*. The new player experience is pretty rough, and the DLC stuff seems kinda questionable. I'm sure this was the kind of game that was solid at launch, but it just feels like you're expected to own all the DLC to be able to play the "real" game. Otherwise it feels like a weird paid demo. The menus are a bit confusing and feel unpolished, especially while you're playing coop. Overall hard to recommend. It feels like there's a good game buried in here, but I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Single player is like Xcom base building and world progression wise with a real time top down shooter twin stick mode and a right click rpg style ability mode instead of turn based combat. Both modes change the gameplay quite a bit, I like the rpg mode for navigating the map and issuing AI squad orders and the shooter mode for actual combat. Instead of aliens and combating their invasion you are combating the infection and its spread, you take control of the map and scan areas to get your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly feels like a lazy mash up of several different games and does a pretty awful job. first red flag was the tutorial asking me if i want RTS controls or WASD. its a twin stick shooter, obviously i want WASD. and then the tutorial kept asking me to enable the auto play feature and not allowing me to move forward until i did. strike 1 and then there was the struggle of just playing with my friend who bought the game for me specifically so we could play together. i could not invite him to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun game, also a very durable game. An absolute masterpiece! Unfortunately, there are too many naive players.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Bit of a jump from the linear story from The Red Solstice to this, and a learning curve with understanding how to combat infestation rates and what to prioritise. A few bugs to look out for (i.e. getting stuck, a clipping issue with a certain character) but overall, well worth the playtime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this game gives me the nostalgia of a custom map called NOTD (Night of the dead) from warcraft III the frozen throne. You and your squad are task to investigate, explore, convoy and all sorts of random objectives every time you start a new mission. Team work is required, position is required. Imagine it as a realistic tactical shooter from birds eye view. Alone you are basically risky it all. A bite wound? A scratch? It may be infected! run to a medic and pray he has anti venom.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is hard. I generally suck at hard games. I haven't beaten it yet, but I didn't play for 30 minutes and give up and leave a review saying the game sucks. It doesn't. Another review mentioned X-Com, but real-time. That is accurate. You even build a "base" and do research and produce items and have two separate pools of humans: soldiers and staff. The encroaching danger ever approaches and you kind of have to damn near do everything perfect in order to fight back effectively in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you enjoyed XCOM and went "hey. what if it was like, real time and also with necromorphs" then this is pretty much that (barring some cool stuff that isn't that). running around as a psionic warrior with 7 buds thrashing across mars is a fun romp and i enjoy it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that can be enjoyable at times but after start its getting quickly boring and repetative. In the start I was intrigued, the xcom like feeling of globe controlling and fights that are RPG+Hack & Slash gave a hope that this game was going to be good. Sadly I was dissapointed due to the below reasons : 1) In singleplayer mode I would like to control my squad instead of AI , you can only command your leader. 2) Highly repetative , in every map you have different objectives but always you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good game in term of action but there are somethings that i find ridiculous, like enemy's with large health pool and regeneration thats generaly for me a red flag its unfair and bad game design, they often out heal you out run you and out damage you so i strugle to see the point of it being fun anymore, i often ctrl alt delete to go away from this game for many weeks and return just to be bullied and slaughtered over and over again, i sadly cannot recomend this to anyone, its torture…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →constant reminders of what I'm missing out on if I don't buy DLC the gameplay itself is just boring anyway though. you right click to move character around and they automatically shoot everything. you can click some abilities. you can play it like a twin stick shooter too if you want. it's like a single player MOBA. I snooze
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game made with love. The story is phenomenal. The Creators have added excellent DLCs and updates are regular and helpful. It is incredibly fun to play with friends and the gameplay is exciting and fun. I hope in a Red Solstice 3 to continue the Story. I highly recommend this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool tactic shooter game ✔️ A bit hard at the start and many mechanics you will need to figure out yourself, but very satisfying after you get some understanding of the game process. p.s. This game has the best flamethrower I've ever seen 🔥
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10 mins 300 bugs is real
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too grindy, lack of content. Pretty cool in general though, decent mechanics, would be more fun with people however the game is mega past dead.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad game alot of bugs removed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Getting stuck on the terrain is really a buzz killer for me and the game really needs a function to "get un-stuck", sometimes pressing "T" to swap control methods between RTS and WASD will solve the problem, but that's a been 50/50 shot for me. At one point I was stuck somewhere the mobs couldn't reach me. - Finding the sweet spot when interacting with objects (consoles, lockers and whatnot) can be annoying especially when you are getting mobbed, it's possible to be either to close or at the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, only 7 hours and in those 7 hours, game has left me just completely lost and hating it just as much as I did the first game. FIrst thing, the game explains NOTHING. How anything works, what to do in missions, where to go, how to do ANYTHING, what anything really does. Tutorial is completely useless, it tells you how to WASD and click the map..........yeah, useless. In combat, the fighting isnt really super hard, so much as its just so much BS you cant shoot fast enough to NOT…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 game. Not expensive at all and definitely worth the price, that goes for the DLC's too. Main campaign and the DLC campaigns are all fun and manageable solo, kind of like XCOM but if it was RTS/twin stick instead of Turn based. Classes all feel unique with their abilities and gear, ranging from a classic medic, to an artillary scout, and engineer who can make turrets and call down mech suits or even a fat guy with a mini-gun. These can even be changes, take the scout for example, instead of…
