positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Roguelike element of this game centers around modding your gun. I was very much expecting "10% faster fire rate" "5% more damage for 3 seconds when you kill an enemy" Meanwhile, the very first mod I see "Bullets fire from the sky instead of your gun" Done, game of the year, 11/10, peak game design, absolutely no notes. I do want to mention that the sound design in this game is top notch, but it is HARSH as hell. Some sounds are ear piercing in a weird way. So turn down SFX to like 50 or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is just a game. and it does very well at being that. for a game that throws at you hundreds of entities at once on screen + destructible environment + graphics cranked up to max/lumen, it runs a little too well. no drops, no crashes, nada. kinda puts into perspective how trash AAA companies are.

unlabelledView post →Game that would be great if it focused more on gunplay and less on forcing the player to engage with its destruction gimmick, every enemy past the first zone is just a massive bullet sponge, becoming marginally more killable if you stance break them, and then zone 3 just becomes incredibly tedious with seemingly every enemy becoming "armoured" which means they take virtually no damage unless you break them. Game was incredibly enjoyable in the first zone, but later zones have made the entire…

unlabelledView post →EDIT: I got gud. Boss fights are fine, you just gotta get good. Mini rockets are secretly OP. First: I keep wanting to wall-run in the game. You should try adding that that might be sick. What I love: combat, soundtrack, visuals, sound FX. Once you get into the swing of it the combat is incredibly satisfying. dropping debris on bad guys strategically, throwing explosive barrels, dodging, activating your ability (freeze time, set everyone on fire, whatever) it's very fun. The sick music…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent a few hours with Void/Breaker last night and even though it's early access I am telling y'all not to skip this one. A high-octane FPS roguelite that focuses on your weapon's modifications. Slotting them into a grid that's one part RE4 inventory management, one part puzzle game
unlabelledView post →Put camera movement to 0 and the camera still shakes around when I sprint. I'm so tired of devs who's heads must flail around wildly when they walk IRL
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a massive movement shooter/roguelite fps fan, I can tell that this game has potential. I find the destruction and stagger-based combat to be refreshing. However currently it's clear to me that this game needs a bit more time to cook. It lacks variety and the first boss feels too limiting in regards to the number of viable mods and builds that can feasibly beat it. There's also a bit too much unnecessary downtime between areas where the grind rails are. Will re-visit once this launches into…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay until you fight a boss. Or do a second run. Boss design couldn't be worse for an FPS. Instead of shooting the boss like you would expect, you have to run around in circles throwing grenades at pillars and then you pick up rocks to throw at the boss. Repeat about 10x, stun him, do damage, boss stops being stunned and repeat. Crazy fast game and then you run into that ♥♥♥♥. Really messes with the flow everything. Run to run variety isn't enough to stay interesting for more than an hour…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really really good so far. I don't leave a lot of reviews but this game is too good not to talk about. I beat the current story on my 7th run. Pros: Graphics are good Visually are good, the screen can get crowded at times which can be a bit overwhelming. Fairly well optimized, in my whole time playing I didn't get any crashes or major dips in performance even when I level an entire island with propagating grenades and the mods that make grenades spawn from destruction.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love a lot of things about this game but I feel like many mods are missing good combinations and enemies are very health spongy, making a game that seems to pride itself on the speed of play feel slow.

Imagine a combination of Hades, Portal, Half-Life, Call of Duty, and Blacklight: Retribution [For the OG's who used to love that game like me!]. The fact this game was made by ONE PERSON is an astonishing feat on its own! Performance is exceptional. Really well optimized, looks beautiful, the graphical fidelity is great, the world building has me hooked! The gameplay is so so smooth and extremely addicting! unlabelledView post →This game makes a really good first impression: gunplay seems pretty satisfying, the mods you can pick up seem at first glance to be interesting and offer a lot of variety. The physics are impressive for a solo-made indie game. And it never gets BAD, exactly. But as you get past the first couple of hours, the seams really start to show, and it becomes clear that this is a much smaller project than it appears to be. By far the biggest crime is that every run feels more or less identical. You…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Void Breaker is way better than it has any right to be. The gameplay feels really satisfying, the combat actually hits, and the roguelike loop is straight-up addictive. The builds get WILD, the runs feel different every time, and the game never cheats you — if you die, that’s on you, not some cheap nonsense. the chaos is PERFECT And the craziest part? A SINGLE GUY MADE THIS If you like fast action, clean movement, and roguelikes that respect your time, this is 100% worth grabbing. It’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is so smooth, and I was blown away by the cinematic at the end of Act 1. I can't wait until the next update (**** the potato upgrade, I forgot I dropped my resolution to 720p for it and ended up watching the whole cinematic in 720p instead of 1440p).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve spent a lot of time in the demo, and Void/Break is incredible! The gameplay is a perfect mix of fast-paced arena action and rogue-lite progression, with satisfying physics and destructible environments—you jump between platforms, open chests, and gear up, which keeps every run feeling fresh and exciting. Combat feels fluid and skill-based, with an edge that reminded me of classic arena shooters like Quake or Doom, but in PvE with its own modern twist. The developer is fantastic, constantly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Props to this singular dev(dan) for making a UE5 game that doesn't run like ♥♥♥♥ aside it's great fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pure FPS gun play perfection. Its like all the core mechanics from all the best shooters distilled into one perfect FPS. Then add the near limitless gun customisations... brilliant! Aesthetics, graphics and sound design are excellent. Fully destructible environments! This game deserves everyone's attention.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like CONTROL and DOOM wrapped into a roguelike. I will definitely be putting some hours into VOID/BREAKER in the near future
unlabelledView post →I usually feel like the roguelike/lite genre is often a methodology for unnaturally extending a game's play-time. That being said, I get why developers do it. There are definitely creative reasons. It's to encourage the player to really dig deep into the game systems rather than just stick with a single build like you might in a more linear game (I do happen to be team never-use-anything-but-the-starting-weapon in soulslikes). That being said, I think this game kind of limits itself due to the…

unlabelledView post →When I was wee, I saw an ad on tv for the SNES. I can't remember it much, but it was this young bloke getting wired into this giant room sized computer thing and he became this weird cyborg videogame hybrid c*nt, neurologically hooked up to a game system and it was interspersed with all these rapid edits of new Nintendo games in their pathetic 16 bit glory. This ♥♥♥♥ floored me and I was enamoured with the flashy technolgical excess with which it hyperbolically embodied "what it feels like to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing !!!!! it goes "kaboom splash rataatatatatata creeeeeeee bam booooom " and I like it. the music is really good too. If you like fast FPS and big chaos energy, please play this game. The feeling of power when you understand all the mechanics is amazing. The upgrade/inventory system is quite unique and allows for creativity in each run. The legendary upgrade are incredible and sometime very funny. I feel like the game could qualify as difficult. I'm not sure for other…

unlabelledView post →Its an alright game, played it from launch and the few updates leading up to the nearby 1.0 release. I'm mixed on recommending it since the 2nd half of the game doesn't sit right with me for a few reasons. The sniper and smg are copies of the same other guns with the same roles to fill but with arguably worse mod balancing. Story is whatever, gameplay is solid for the most part (aside from the really bs projectiles and mechanics for enemies, namely the tracking projectiles and enemies you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is sufficiently fun on anything below Insanity, Insanity and a lot of pretty questionable decisions make the game less than enjoyable, just a slog that overly penalises player for things beyond their control (such as map gen and enemies spawned in a chunk). The reliance on physics and crashing down entire buildings on enemies is fun, until the enemies get so tanky that they can and will survive three separate demolitions occuring right on their heads. Reliance on getting health and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VOID/BREAKER is honestly such a fun take on a roguelike shooter. It's a game that can take some getting used to--it took me unlocking several upgrades, which carry over between runs, to overcome the first three zones which make up Act 1 of this game's story. Speaking of, and without saying much ABOUT the story, I actually kinda love this game's narrative! As you progress through a run, you can find messages left behind by previous Subjects detailing their experiences inside the system, some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As an early access, this game is really really fun. The setting is really really interesting as well. The movement is really smooth and very Titanfall 2 coded (Thank you devs for that, i love you). The gunplay is also really fun altho i think the recoil animation could use a little work but that is a VERY minor detail. The meat and potato of the game The modules and the ability to turn your gun into... something? is just peak. the fact that there are 0 restrictions on what you can do is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game and it's solo dev truly put the AAA games industry to shame. Everything in this game is top notch and I loved every second of the first 3 Acts. Onto Act 4 now and I'm so impressed with it after just one run. If you like games like Deadzone Rogue, Killing Floor, Gunfire Reborn Or to be honest any FPS I think you'll enjoy it. It has some of the best feeling gunplay and movement in any game I've played. When it reaches 1.0 Full Release this is going to be special.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developer deserves a medal for most considerate guy ever. Certain mods are a small nod to those who have to play on lower specs, some are properly silly without breaking the game. Soundtrack is dynamic witch is perfect for ever changing landscape & adapting to wave progression. As a huge Titanfall fan, now that there's wall running, the movement feels complete, but I can't wait what he'll come up with next. The gunplay is well balanced, there's a weapon for everyone and with mods you can…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had no idea this game was as good as it is i left this game in my backlog for months i regret not giving this game a fair chance i dont want to spoil anything so just try the game out if you like clean gunplay and fun rouge likes this is absolutely for you also dude the destruction mechanics that are in this game are legit better than most games that are specificly centered around that its so fun to just destroy buildings even when it doesnt help you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool aesthetic and gameplay but a few minor things holding it back imo. One need sprint to be a toggle on controller, game needs you to go fast and you can’t holding the stick in. Two I found aim assist gets kinda stuck between enemies or isn’t great at tracking on controller. Once the game play feel is up to the level of the rest of the package this will be awesome but right now it’s a bit frustrating

unlabelledView post →I really want to recommend this game. It's impressive for a solo dev project, the guns feel good, the movement feels good, and the rougelike systems offer a lot of cool gameplay potential. The problem is gameplay ends up being extremely one-dimensional. The big system in the game is that you can break enemy stance, which stuns them and makes them drop ammo. Certain upgrades make your gun able to do this more easily by destroying terrain. Once you get one of these upgrades the game becomes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean, I just can’t even believe that this game was made by one person it’s just plain incredible and utterly insane in the best possible way. I had a blast playing this game, and it’s especially because the destruction of buildings is just plain satisfying in ways that are utterly unbelievable. However, the enemies ♥♥♥♥♥ slap you and can easily take you down if you’re not careful, but it’s also what makes the game so challenging and keeps you on your toes. All in all, it’s a blast, and if…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, am i glad to have picked this up. The visual style is nothing short of eye-candy, from start to finish. The gameplay is fun and engaging, challenging if you're not used to this style of game, the soundtrack is visceral, and the sound design really hits hard. The destructible environments adding an extra layer to your strategy also adds quite a bit of depth. I changed my underwear like 3 times already cuz i kept painting them white
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting component & upgrade design for a roguelike, and very interesting combat design for an FPS. Me like. Game good. Game look great too. Game feel good.

unlabelledView post →So, I beat the game on my first run through with the pistol surprisingly. Not often you get a god run in on you first go around in these games. The movement is clean, the gun play is fun, the grid style system for upgrades feels amazing. To top it off the bosses are the best kind of bullet hell. You feel in control despite the overwhelming amount of stuff coming at you. I'm looking forward to doing more runs with further unlocks on the higher difficulties. Solid game for such a small team,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy the core gameplay. However I loathe tradeoff upgrades in games. Things like: "+40% Damage but -80% accuracy," "More damage at close range but less damage at long range," or "More damage but slower rate of fire." This game is full of tradeoff upgrades and they just make the gunplay feel worse. If my accuracy starts going down too much then every shot becomes a dice roll. There are already plenty of optional difficulty modifiers so the dev shouldn't be afraid of making the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve always loved the core gameplay of roguelike shooters like Risk of Rain 2, but they often suffer from a steep learning curve where you spend your first few hours asking, 'Wait, what is even happening?' Void Breaker solves this perfectly. It makes item effects and stacking mechanics clear from the jump. The inventory system is very intuitive and allows the player to express their playstyle. Each run you start you will wonder what 'broken' build will I get this time? It’s the perfect…

I got very impressed with void breaker, the game itself is very beautiful and very fun, great movement and gameplay. unlabelledView post →VOID/BREAKER Legitimately a very fun FPS roguelite with a great sense of speed and really fun gunplay buried under the fact that the whole game is set in the Geforce Experience and has writing that feels straight outta Watch Dogs, all voiced by someone who sounds identical to Garth Marenghi
