60 of 131 · most liked firstThere's a fatal flaw in the balance of this game. As is normal in deckbuilders, each "character" has various builds to go down. For example, one deck has cards and artifacts for a rice build, a bamboo build, or a moss build. The issue is that the cards/relics have absolutely no synergy or interaction between the builds. Zero. What this means is that every single run turns out the same, and it's brainless. Is the first card you are offered a rice card? You are now locked into rice for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun.. but lack of a save function oftens makes me not want to even start a run because i dont have 2 hrs to play the whole way through and dont want to rush a run.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has the worst tutorial I've ever played in over 30 years of gaming. I don't know what my goals are, how to achieve them, what KPI is, this is just a confusing mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun at first but quickly gets boring. Other reviews criticize the lack of synergy between architypes but thats not the issue, It's the energy system. Drawing cards is what costs energy. In essence the game takes away most player choice. You end up drawing as many cards as you can and then just playing everything you draw, endless isn't fun because your just clicking draw and autoplay over and over again, if you run is strong enough your not even playing your turn, just clicking next turn, next…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to recommend the game because it has great mechanics and graphics. However, I have yet to have a single run that doesn't easily +10x the targets just pressing auto play + end turn. I can afford to empty out the store slightly past the midgame. There is a HP mechanic but I almost try to spend as much HP as possible because healing is abundant. Doesn't matter the difficulty, doesn't matter the build, doesn't matter if I pivot mid game. There are simply to many opportunities to easily…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying the game with regards to the gameplay, but the 90 second long, singular track that plays the entire time you play the game on a perpetual loop, except briefly when you're in the shop, has unfortunately induced a massive catastrophic stroke in me and so i'm now finding it difficult to move my limbs and continue to play the game. I wonder if it would be possible to introduce a controversial but much needed second or even third track to the game so that this can be avoided in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rana Card does not have a fishing minigame :(( #ranacard #indiegame #gaming #videogames #fishing #fishingminigame
unlabelledView post →No synergy between cards or relics. Theres no point in combining multiple strategies. Basically, the first card you pick determines your whole run.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After fourteen million six hundred and five iterations of Slay the Spire I finally found one that can scratch that itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Small little gem, overall a fun addicting game (and I only scratched the surface). its a roguelike, so no meta progression - if thats important for you. still needs some QOL improvements like : - auto draw new hand on turn end - moving the turn end button (its super frustrating if you misclick and lose a turn or trigger time explosion at the wrong moment)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a wonderfully chunky UI, the gameplay is fun, but not overly complex, and it scratches an itch to get a big money making engine going. It can feel a bit easy at times, but I've not tried the higher difficulties, and the endless mode scales in a satisfying way. I'd recommend it for people who like these type of synergy optimization game, as it has a bunch of unique things going for it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tell me why I've been chatting with someone in a friends-and-family WeChat group for 3 years and only learned TODAY that she's an indie dev making a roguelite farming game launching in a few months?? Rana Card playtest is live on Steam now you should play it!! store.steampowered.com/app/3177890/...

Game is about debt and has some solid mechanics yet has some serious run ending bugs. Sometimes after an elite fight, you cannot take the gold reward among all the rewards, and are not allowed to continue. For some reason you cannot skip that reward either. Clicks go through the GUI and you can even click and sell your plants behind the end of the year rewards notebook lol…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a neat little deck builder with a great core gameplay loop. Unfortunately, the balance pretty rough, so there are just a few functional builds for each deck. This limits replayability, but it was fun constructing a few totally broken builds and watching the numbers go to the moon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 went infinite on orange mode and played thousands upon thousands of cards until the game broke
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got baited by positive reviews, game is super boring and braindead. You just play your entire deck every turn. It is basically stupid clicker
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rana Card is fun but, fair warning, it's a bit like baby's first deck builder. There are 3 starter decks which each contain 1 or 2 cards that will generate all your income for the first few rounds. After that, you'll add more cards to your deck and your income will come from maximizing a particular strategy. Finding these strategies isn't difficult, because you'll just pick the cards and relics that have the same style of picture or name. Dewdrop woks with the Raindrop Blossom plant (looks…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very satisfying big number roguelike with lots of fun and quite unique lil systems You can feel a ton of care has been put into making every choice and actions fun to engage with and the devs patched out a ton of things I've seen mentionned in negative reviews in a record time after release. They've rapidly earned my respect, I'll be watching this team and this game closely :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like roguelikes? Do you like deck builders? How about blowing yourself up? Do you like watching numbers get exponentially big the same way idlers get big numbers? Then this is the game for you! The gameplay is genuinely addicting, and when your run gets hot it gets HOT.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the theme fool you, It's not JUST a farming game. It's a tableau building combo builder, where clever planning and a little luck can create the sorts of massively satisfying chain reactions one might associate with a really good Balatro run. Difficult when you scale it up and still full of surprises for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Players that love roguelite deckbuilding will find plenty of fun in this game, well priced at $12.99
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MAKE IT RAIN SO PLANTS GO BOOM BOOM BOOM PHEW PHEW BIG NUMBERS GO UP UP SO MUCH MONEY IN YOUR FACE THAT LITERALLY FREEZES THE SCREEN $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game plays very smoothly, it was really fun for a couple runs. But, real problems: -Mostly you just want 1 plant, very few cards, very few decisions. Often it's buy 1 plant, no more -Decisions are super obvious, just take synergy, ignore non-synergy. Synergy is just math, no pivoting based on what you see. -2nd half is just click the bag and play every card, every turn, zzz -Synergy doesn't matter, penalties don't matter, zzz -Lots of balance bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Slay the Spire, Pesticide Not Required, Balatro, and Plants vs Zombies had a baby. Unit choice and plot placement decisions similar to plants vs zombies. Fun and cute farming aspect that reminds me of Pesticide Not Required - FROGS. Game loop similar to Balatro where you want to make the most profitable farm utilizing a variety of plants, spells, and relics. The game may appear simply and easy on the surface but it has a surprising amount of depth. Recommend if you want a nice cozy frog…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It might as well just play itself given how little choice you're actually offered.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, very cute art. Worth it for the art alone. It does it job as a decent mid-tier deckbuilder game and would scratch your itch. My complain is there is only 1-2 archetype for each deck, it gets repetitive fast. Balance could use some work
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun little game that worth the money, lots of nice graphics and interesting random encounters. Will be playing more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the demo and enjoy the full version even more. The music is nice, the art is great, and It's similar to Slay the Spire while still creating its own twists that make it fun to learn and adapt to. For those who want an evolving strategy game with the "whee, numbers go up!" feeling, this is definitely one of those.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good deckbuilder roguelike with 3 fun classes that all have their own unique tools, alongside a light but entertaining story that gets parceled out slowly over time and which I appreciated the ending of. Plus the art-style is really cute !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a lot of fun if you are into games like Slay the Spire or Wildfrost. As you progress you expand your grid and on each tile you are able to place an item, animal or plant which have different abilities and synergies. It took a moment to fully grasp how the game worked but once you understand it, there are so many viable options. My only criticism so far is that the game seems poorly optimised so hopefully there will be some performance updates soon. My PC runs a 5080, 32GB of RAM…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and would recommend. Only complaint would be that getting the last achievements(Scratch ticket and Max difficulty) can get very grindy. I did complete max diff with one class it was such a slog. Would be nice if all diff become available without having to do the previous ones, to reduce how grindy it can get.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who would have thought that auto playing your cards would be the best function to ever grace a roguelike game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →chickens are absolutely borken, 11/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool and unique game, runs can end up being very long, and it can be extremely easy to scale so out of control that everything is trivial and the shops can be completely bought out, at least on the early difficulties, don't know about the later ones. but other than that, very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the little frog is cute :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they put crack in this one, and its the good ****. 10/10 would go infinite with oranges again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a lover of rogue-like strategy games and card games, this neat little game scratches all the itches while delivering a unique, charming experience. Sometimes you get screwed over by a bad starting phase, but that's normal for this kind of game. Once you get a run to work, you feel like a farming god! I like all three decks that you work with, and the mechanics are very different (even more different than, say, the decks in Slay the Spire), and it encourages you to think about the core…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →outstanding game, I cant wait for more updates!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't sing the praises of this game loudly enough. From the amazing interface, to the music, to the thoughtful synergies of the plants, buildings, trinkets, etc. I'm two hours in and already hooked. Highly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good for what it is. If you like this type of game, it does what you'd like. Nothing really great or fantastic so wait for a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I AM SO INVESTED IN MY FELLOW SALARYMAN FROG I NEED THE REST OF HIS STORY??? DID HE GET LAID OFF?? My little froggo put in EXTRA HOURS he better not. P.S. Please add in a credits option to go through the post-game froggo story again once you have cleared it for the first time, I need my daily dose of him.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →High difficulty runs are way too imbalanced on level designs and RNG, the other way round comparing to low difficulties, early game income sources almost merely meet the KPI goal, with not much extra money to spend -> no land and no desirable inventories -> worse mid-game income scale up -> less money -> even more struggling late game experiences... which is totally disgusting to play. Won't play it again until a patch balancing the system is released.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →way 2 buggy! very poor balance. Game looks and seems fun at first but it got annoying really fast when I found 2 many bugs that just made the game unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rana Card is a fantastic little deckbuilder in the vein of Slay the Spire (the resemblance becomes a little obvious as you play). The UI is superbly-designed and easy to navigate; the premise of the game is easy to grasp after a little experimenting. The different "classes" (akin to StS's Ironclad, Watcher, etc.) are creative and very, very different in function, leading to a wealth of possible build archetypes. The soundtrack is fun and lilting, though it gets repetitive. I could go on, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Phenomenal little gem of a game, highly recommend if you like roguelikes that insist you break them
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs fixed all the issues with KPI, played several rounds after the fix and it is awesome! Such a cute roguelike with lots of possibilities and different builds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →很好玩,很上头。幸运房东+杀戮尖塔 画风可爱。 希望增加一键快速结算跳过动画,不然无尽模式每回合等一分钟计算结果实在是太卡了
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far, pretty good, lots of different builds and possibilities. Some builds you don't even have to play after some time, just end your turn and the game runs it self, some people might find this a problem, but you still need to set the build up. After some updates, the game got a bit harder, OP builds got nerfed, but the game is still good, more balanced now. You can still break the game, but it takes more effort.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game - bonus points for a rizzler reference
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightfully cozy roguelite deck builder. Numbers go brrrrrrrrr.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey devs. I think I broke the game. While the multiplier was running at the beginning of the round, I played all the cards in my hand. Now I'm asked to discard a card, but I don't have anything. I can neither confirm, nor draw new cards, nor end the round. Good Game tho :D edit: now my 2 billion are suddenly a negative number and the kpi is out of control xD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goal progression feels off - I'm generally pretty good at this style of game and lost multiple runs out of nowhere after cruising through all previous encounters. Not terrible but there's 100s of games in this general style at this point and there's no particular reason to beat my head against a wall on a mediocre one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when da cows produce da milk and de sheeps make a da poo poo, the game is pure unfiltered autism and I clap and rub my tummy hehe
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute game, the art style is great and the tutorial was nice too! There is a bit of gamba mixed in with strategy so check out the demo to see the different combos you can get!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very satisfying blending of systems, if you like deckbuilders, roguelites, (light) automation, or cozy farm games then I highly recommend trying the demo. The game lets you pick how long you want to play your deck- it tells you when you've met the run requirements and asks if you want to enter Endless Mode, Balatro style. Once you enter endless mode every few cycles you're asked if you want to continue endless or go back to the menu, giving you an out without forcing you to lose when you get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly addictive, numbers go brrrr
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Banger game, definitely a big number funny game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. There's nothing really groundbreaking here but I've been having a pretty good time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good-a gaaame
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most fun games I've ever picked up on Steam. I love the art style & farming theme, and it feels very rewarding to play: game progression, animations/SFX, and combat rewards all feel great. There are a lot of options for deck builds & paths so it never gets stale for me.
