60 of 84 · most liked firstWarning: The developer has removed the game files from the manifest, this game can no longer be played and only exists on Steam as a scam. The developer is also selling keys to this game through DailyIndieGame. Firelight Fantasy: Vengeance is an abandoned/broken Russian asset flip, and a scam. When it was a game, it was just a medieval themed third person brawler of laughably bad quality. The developer blanked the game manifest, all game files have been replaced with a single empty folder…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even if I ignored all the weird writing, the gameplay is very boring and simple. There seems to be one enemy type with a beeline AI and nothing else. The map is mostly empty and nothing is interactable. Just avoid this. https://youtu.be/EGrJPv3Drqs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is nothing to do in the game. The whole game is as per the video, you run and fight and die. That is it. This is not a game. I wonder why steam is allowing such apps to be sold.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not legit! I can probably make a better game, even though I am not a developer. The rating are probably just connections and not your average person who tries different games. Don't KICK!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full disclosure: I'm not sure how exactly this game ended up in my steam library, no clue in the slightest. Given there were only six achievements to 100% this game, I didn't expect much, yet I was still left disappointed. I am not one for writing steam reviews of games, but I figured I might as well try again once in a little while with this game here. --- There is a story to this game, somewhere in the mix. As a result of poor formatting of the text before each level, attempting to read the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally, I expected more from this game. In my opinion, too primitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The environments are pretty cool and the combat is ok for a small developer. (Edit: They didn't even bother building the first map with the modular assets they used. They just used the demo map.) I was expecting the AI to just run at and circle around the player and do just 1 attack, but I appreciate how the AI could do its basic attack and jump at the player, as well as guard. However, there definitely needs to be a way for the player to heal themselves. It took me forever to get past the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i dropped in. i was forced to watch a 3 minute cutscene. spawned. it gave me NOTHING but a shield and i died. i respawned and had to watch the same cutscene again. then it gave me a sword BUT! BUT! as soon as i got the sword picked up. i was surrounded and this game doesnt tell you ANYTHING about how to play. so good luck
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This would be alright if it was an early concept of a game, but it's sadly not. The game looks unfinished, the fighting mechanics are very basic and repetitive, the story (cutscenes) is uninteresting (and is very random), ui looks bad and the world is not interactive. It's honestly a waste of time and money, because you get an experience of a random unity project. A game should not be released in such state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It lasted 24 mins. I'm starting to hate that. I'm actually getting good at this firelight series. Still, I cannot recommend it. 1. £32.99 is a ridiculous amount of money. 2. 24 mins to complete. 3. hits sometimes don't register. 4. all enemies are the same, even the boss is just bigger. 5. objectives should just be to kill everyone, as that is what you do anyway. The list goes on. The positives tho 1. achievement works unlike the last one I played. 2. graphics are alright, not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont buy not worth any money. its like there other game no point in this game. its like from 80s. and still looks like a beta. nothing to pick except the shield and sword from start. no upgrades no health regain. just pointless. no compass was lost looking for more enemy to fight.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Outstanding combat system, sword fighting is just wonderful! graphics at the level I've been stuck for 3 hours straight! IT'S WORTH THE MONEY
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended. Like the other Firelight games, this feels like a prototype. The idea of a souls like hack and slash is great, but the execution lacks at almost all levels. The graphics are actually pretty good, but the levels feel undercooked. The UI, controls and basic options are all pretty bad. The combat isn't all terrible, but expect more frustration than fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A small action slasher with six levels and a hero armed with a sword and shield. At each level, you need to complete the tasks. It's mostly about killing enemies. At the very end of the game, you need to cut down a huge boss. Press "Enter" to skip the intro. We use "Alt" to somersault free from enemies when they pinch the hero in narrow passages.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asset-flip. Horrible game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good game series. The world is quite beautiful. And the NPCs are crazy :)

Experience the resentful Valkyrie's ultimatum, Gunnar's doubts, and the fateful meeting with Sigurd. Features include 6 stylized game locations, myth-based storytelling, spectacular battles, procedurally generated worlds, diverse weapons and attacks, challenging enemies, and an amazing soundtrack.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked this game! I cannot express in words this atmosphere, these sounds, these graphics, these feelings. Here I plunged into the period of the knights to the maximum. I'm happy I found this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's probably the best of the Firelight Fantasy games, though that's not saying much since they're all a bunch of repetitive bland nonsense that's full of design bugs as you fight the same enemy over and over again. This developer created four games with one single enemy type. It's quite astonishing really. The environments in this game are really nice, and the combat is not inherently bad, just extremely repetitive. I was shocked to find that this game's goals actually function properly,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firelight Fantasy: Vengeance is a third-person action title developed by Quacky Games and published by Whale Rock Games, drawing inspiration from Norse mythology to frame a story of betrayal, honor, and retribution. Set against a backdrop influenced by the legend of Sigurd and the tragic fallout between warriors bound by oath and ambition, the game attempts to merge mythic storytelling with accessible hack-and-slash combat. Rather than presenting a sprawling open world or a deeply layered RPG…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the atmosphere and graphics, but the enemies are too repetitive. Decent indie game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The combat is simple but enjoyable and the flashy sword fights inspired by Norse mythology are fun to experience. Different enemies and locations help keep the gameplay interesting while Sigurd's story adds extra motivation to keep playing. For such a low price the game leaves a surprisingly positive impression.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a game about third-person combat, the graphics and sound in the game are not bad, but the controls may seem difficult for beginners. In general, action fans may like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks pretty good graphic wise ngl, the devs should of payed more attention to the gameplay. If you like running around a world only filled with enemies then go ahead. But don't go right ahead..... If you die there is no passing go, no collecting $200. Butthorn was the death of me. 3.6/10
