This is yet another title in Infinite Interactives growing stable of puzzle games. You are a hero on a quest through the savage lands of the Ashurin Empire in search of your tribesman who have been taken by slavers. Your hero will combat fierce beasts and battle hardened warriors during your travels as you attempt to rescue your people, raise an army and topple the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The battles are designed in such a way that if you fall behind, the game gets harder, making any sort of come back nearly impossible. The result is that the winner is determined pretty much early on, but you still have to go through the rest of the match. As a result, battles feel tedious and highly random.

Um, if you consider defeating enemies by matching colored things faster than the enemy to be combat, then "check". ;) But if you just want something to play just to kill time or that doesn't require a lot of energy, this game is just fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 / 10. Tech demo. Puzzle Chronicles is probably the worst title in the Puzzle Quest set of titles, right behind Puzzle Kingdoms. For the most part it feels like a tech demo, an unfinished beta release of the full product. It focuses more on 3D characters models, but forgets the fun and general enjoyability along the way. The game has some basic ideas pinned down, but the execution is less then perfect. It's tedious, monotone, downright boring and grind-ridden at many times. What boggles me…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A somewhat predictable RPG, Puzzle Chronicles suffers from some mildly bad voice acting and fairly repetitive battles - once you learn how to play it's Tetris-esque combat and mini-games, it's pretty much just rinse, repeat, get better gear. The story has some amusing moments, but do not be fooled: you need to disengage your brain to play this game. I think the Puzzle Quest series does a better job of engaging you with its story, and has similar mechanics to progress with. That being said,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not for the colorblind Rating: Poor Well, I played this game for 20 minutes and was not able to defeat the dummy. Partly because I'm colorblind and got the green and red stars and stones mixed up, partly because the mechanics are really confusing. It looks like tetris on it's side and you have to match stars with stones to make them dissappear. Throw some skulls in the mix and you are able to push a line towards your opponent, and if you do this good enough you win. This mechanic really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It could have been longer, but otherwise, I have no real complaints about this game. It's a very fun puzzle/RPG set in a sword-and-sorcery setting. The storyline and character development are little more than a MacGuffin to keep you playing, but at least the gameplay itself is really solid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best puzzle / rpg from infinite interactive . It's not a simple match 3 . I strongly recommend this game .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have insomnia really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad tonight so I'm reviewing everything I've played. Unfun and tedious. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Konami, stop making me hate you by publishing games like this while your own good titles rot away, unloved.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzle Chronicles is nothing but a time-sink, but what more do you expect from a puzzle game? Well, it better not be good art direction or writing, because this game has neither. The gameplay could be compared to 'Battle Tetris' in the form of a tug-of-war, but more often than not comes down to pure luck as to how well you will do in a fight. One try you will be obliterated in a few drops, the next time you will obliterate them. After playing for a few hours (and it took me 14 to finish, doing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished this game Puzzle Chronicles before. Good puzzle game i thought i would not like it but i really enjoyed the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most boring puzzle games I have ever played; I do not understand why this game was made. Tedious. Un-fun. Ugly art. Forgettable sound and music. Dull character design. Uninspired voice-acting. The tritest of storylines. This is a lot like a facebook game from 2010 that would've bombarded you with microtransactions and bother your friends for in-game resources. I keep looking for the ulterior motive behind this, because just making it and selling it as a game doesn't make any sense.

So far it's like Puzzle Quest, but more Tetris-y, and honestly I like that a lot more than the series it spun off of honestly. The story's still whatever though lol. Picross DS after. Also new emotes 👀 twitch.tv/Mr_Shasta

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not memorable, but a good time waster, and the puzzle bits are actually kind of fun once you get the hang of them (and moreso near the ending, when things get a bit more complicated). They are more Tetris than Match-3, and a few battles were actually quite exciting (and I had to manage my equipment to better handle them). The biggest annoyance was the world navigating. While it takes only a few seconds for the character to walk form A to B, the actual walking is completely pointless, and there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game at full price because I loved another one of this devs previous games, and this was said to be similar... and aspects of it are but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, not the fun part of it. It is "puzzle" in the way that match 3 games are a puzzle, so that can be fun but they add too much into the puzzle "battles" for it to be enjoyable. Altogether the battles feel more tedious than anything. The mini game puzzles that aren't battles are more like a match 4 game. all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzle Quest anyone ? The battles are different, but not any better. Stick with Puzzle Quest. It's way, way better than this. [Rating: 66/100]
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We're playing the puzzle RPG game Puzzle Chronicles tonight for DS Destruction, from the developers of the Puzzle Quest games! However, this isn't a match 3 puzzle RPG like previously, but a different type of puzzle. Curious to see how this will be 🧩 twitch.tv/Mr_Shasta
unlabelledView post →Online Multiplayer with a friend had no issues and an X-input controller (logitech F310) worked perfectly. We dived into playing right away without learning the basics and had a good deal of fun. My first impression is that it plays reminiscent to puzzle fighter when matching up the similar colored blocks. The game feels underrated to me and I felt it deserves a higher score than what it got. Game tends to go on sale frequently for a low price and is definitely worth getting during that time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a nice RPG based match3 style game so far. Seems like quite a bit of character and story depth. The AI duel battles are in real-time so you need to play at speed to be the victor. Recommended if this kind of game interests you!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only thing that puzzled me about this game was why anyone would spend either money or time procuring it. Do Not Want~!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is atrocious. Terrible to play, clunky, looks awful. Go away, game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played for 5 minutes; I could barely beat the tutorial because I can't tell the difference between the yellow and green gems, and there's no option to change it to more colorblind friendly options.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i got this for free for spending $10 on a site for other games. this game is like the free cancer i got for smoking. there is nothing good about this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would really like to tell you how this game plays so here's my experience of running the game for less than 5 minutes. Install and run for the first time and crashed after 30 seconds, restarted and failed to run and always shows first time set up every time you attempt to run but it appears to be a steam cloud bug as it doesn't sync any bytes to the cloud whether steam cloud is enabled or not so a really big fail unfortunately.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this practically new genre of tetris match 3 and RPG and this one is fun.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite games of all time. I wanted a puzzle game which was unique, interesting, had plenty of depth, and was entertaining and fun. Story cut-scenes are very Disney, but also very charming. It's crazy how an truly brilliant game like this doesn't have millions of rave reviews. I would LOVE to see a sequel. I do recommend playing on a larger screen if possible. My one complaint is that it's sometimes distracting when you wanna enjoy the combat action at the same time a juggling gems!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzle Chronicles is if Dungeons & Dragons was a match 3 game. The matches are very slow moving, and like most match 3 games, a lot of winning is based on luck, which in a story driven game is a real hindrance. You gain experience and money each fight and when you level up you can increase some stats. You get a pet that can be upgraded by playing a mini game, though it only seems to be in the first area, and I can't go back there, so my dog monster is stuck. I'm assuming there's other…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very clunky game play due to horrible mouse controls, and even the keyboard controls feel like something is off. Didn't get far enough to really see much of the game. I would rather play any other puzzle quest game than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every aspect of this title's design has been masterfully crafted to provide an experience that is not great. From sound design, to art direction, to controls, to map navigation animations, to achievement glitches, nothing has been overlooked! No matter how you try to judge Puzzle Chronicles, you can only walk away marveling at how not great the entire package is. So consistent is this not-greatness that I can only assume it was an intentional design choice from a truly talented team of devs who…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks a bit like a mobile match-3 game but plays more like Tetris (including the time pressure of falling blocks). While strictly/barely playable with a touch screen, it's really designed with a mouse or keyboard in mind. I think this might be fun if you were willing to invest the time to understand it, but it's definitely not pick up and play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of a frustrating mess. There's little chance of a come back once a battle is swung in one side's favour, and that can be made even worse with breaker RNG. The game's fundamentally flawed at the core mechanical design level. The rest of the polish of the game also isn't exactly stellar either. You might find decent value out of it for the price if you picked it up on a 90% off sale, but still probably too unreliably frustrating to be worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is "Okay", I remember playing it someplace else before, but I don't recall having the difficultly that I'm having with it right now. I think I played it before with a controller, and that was fine. Right now, I'm trying to play the game with a keyboard & mouse and it is a miserable experience. The controls are terrible, using the mouse is a shoddy control that is limited and poorly responsive, and the KB controls are absolutely stupid with no way to remap them. What could be a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean, it would be even funny for some little degree if it was clear the point of it all. You get this snake opponent at some early point that farts some green stuff on you and the game is literally over by then. Ok, then what? Can I fart something back? Should I farm something to beat it?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good falling blocks puzzle that is not just another Tetris or Puyo Puyo clone. Not as deep or as long as Puzzle Quest or Puzzle Kingdoms, but it's still pretty fun and the more action oriented gameplay feels different and fresh compared to Infinite Interactive's previous games. And at 90% off, it's a total steal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cool and simple puzzle game that becomes grindy and hard fairly quickly. Voice acting was an unexpected, but welcome addition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't generally bother with reviews, but this game is a fun little time-waster. If you're a fan of Robert E. Howard's character Conan of Cimmeria that has been the subject of novels, comic books and movies then you'd probably like this games story-line as it borrows heavily from the numerous Conan origin stories. Also the puzzle gameplay is not terribly complex. Just enough to feel like you aren't just going through the motions and that some level of skill and planning is needed to win.…
