53 of 53 · most liked firstIf you like time management games with rebuilding villages and houses, you will love this game. The game is about rebuilding people's gardens in order to get money to save your grandparents out of dept. The art design of each lvl is wonderfull. Each lvl has a bonus task and it's up to you to figure out how to solve it. Watch out for that fishy mafia looking guy! Edit: After completing the game I have to say I was pleased with the purchase. I was very surprised to hear that people found it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Summary: Pros: Frantic gameplay after the first couple levels. Great art style. Pretty challenging to get gold for more gamer-y gamers. Not as "linear" as some might make it out to be in terms of gameplay. Cons: Soundtrack is droll and repetitive (turned the music off after 3 levels). Could have added a little more identification of clickables in the busy background art (I might just suck at the game as well and blame not having an attention span). For a casual game it is actually pretty…

Gameplay / Story Jill's grandparents are about to lose their house to the scheming millionaire Cliff Gold. The girl decides to thwart the unscrupulous tycoon and win the grand prize in a prestigious gardening competition in Sunnydale. To win, Jill must become the best gardener in town. But that is easier said than done. She must efficiently allocate the resources…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Funny little casual game. I hoped it was more open (like Hero Of The Kingdom) but instead its very linear where you have to follow a specific path while completing objectives. The goal is to restore other people's gardens and that way earn money to help your grandparents keep their home. File this one under 'time management'. If you like those kind of games try Chocolatier instead. It's better in my opinion, but this one isn't bad either. [Rating: 70/100]
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 65% Gardens Inc. is an incredibly challenging time management game that offers both interesting and infuriating gameplay elements for those who want something they cannot just casually breeze through. Long version: Gardens Inc. may look colourfully cute and innocent, but this time management game is downright relentless and significantly more challenging than the graphics suggest. The game achieves this difficulty with some great and some terrible ideas. The core concept is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was given this game to make me stop wining about waiting for other games. At first I was like yay another casual game bleh. I did the first level and was like I hate this game. Since it was a gift I gave it 2 more levels to make sure I hated it. I'm 20 levels in now and I still hate it; I'm also still playing it. This game is deceptively hard. Let me say that again, this game is hard! Trying for gold every level is almost painful. I'm ending up doing all the levels twice or three times just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good challenge for time management game fans. Each chapter adds new elements and mechanics to keep things interesting. The later levels introduce time as a resource. There's not only bonuses to extend your level time, but sometimes you can choose between taking a time penalty to open up shortcuts or running the long way around, or exchange time for extra resources and vice versa, which quickly becomes a difficult balancing act. It's a mechanic I've never seen before, and it adds complexity…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice time waster micro management game like hundred others - until it introduces ghosts as part of the game mechanics. Spirits that appear at random intervals in random places on the map. You have a ghost buster to counter it but it does not keep the ghosts from spawning. Problem is, any ghost - even at the far end of the map - will make your workers stop doing anything and run home. Since you cannot control the event it is all down to a gamble. Either you get lucky or ghosts will halt all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game. Gameplay is similar to farm frenzy. There are a ton of stages and they're all fairly different. Lots of new things on almost every level. I think it shows that this game was made with love. It's a feel good game, it's fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is addicting and fun. I wouldn't pay $9.99 for it but when it's on sale i'd grab it in a heartbeat. If you like time management games you'll LOVE this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game to learn what "Time Management" games are. It can be tricky at times, especially when you have a part of the area hidden, but that's a good way to learn how to plan in advance and what you have to ignore, even if available. The only sad part is there are achievements available in game, but not on Steam and you clearly need to redo some of the challenges more than once to get all the achievements. PS: Don't mind my time, I played mostly offline, I believe I spent more than 10…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this for some meaningless summer fun but it has a virus currently.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keeping it brief: At 12hrs I have finished the game but didn't get my mansion completed (just not quite enough gold) Some levels I got gold level easy without trying, others I am having issues with. I class this as strategy, not sim because you get very little real choice on what to do. There are set paths and the only real choice you get is to upgrade a shack or what colour plants to put in.... Enjoyed and I will give the second one a crack. What a nice "time waster" that had me swearing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got 15 hours out of this on my first playthrough, beat it in a day or two. It's pretty fun but I still prefer the Diner Dash series as far as time management games go. The English translation was a bit sloppy, in my opinion.. But it's not a huge issue. Just a few typos and rarely some odd grammar. It was more complex than usual time management games and really focused on micro management. You couldn't make as long queues as in other games, either, because sometimes you'd have to wait for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gardens Inc. – From Rakes to Riches is a very good time/resource management game. You collect various resources, remove obstacles, repair things, build buildings, plant and water flowers. It's a lot of fun! It has nice graphics, okay music and it functions well. If you're a fan of the genre it's a definite must buy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Standard time management game with a clicker mechanic added for complexity that either enhances the game or destroys playability (depending on your personal opinion). Mediocre implementation and graphics, storyline lacks engagement but is sufficient. 13.5 hours to complete in its entirety.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Norton removed a virus once installed, made it unplayable. By pass that by silencing Norton. Play for 3 hours. Attempt to play again. Steam crashes and closes. Restart steam. Tells me i am playing this game but game is not open on computer (not on task manager either). Can't start it because it's apparently already running. Can't uninstall because it's running. Can't log out of steam because it's running. Resort to restarting computer. Open up steam. Game isn't running. Click play on game. Game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice time management game. Some levels will make you repeat them to get the "gold time", but honestly it's not a huge challenge. I only had trouble with level 42 - I used the walkthrough to get the best set of moves. Above all I liked the story and if you are fan of TM games like myself you will enjoy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this game - cute graphics, very entertaining , cool ideas , would recommend :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent clear the road type time management game where you clear some paths and plant some flowers. There is 50 levels in total. I found 2 of them really frustrating, but the rest was completely fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a lover of time management games I was a bit unsure when purchasing this one. From reading the description and other reviews I sort of expected a kind of farm frenzy style game. While it has some elements of that style of game play, it is much more in the style of the build-a-lot games. I've completed around 15 levels all gold so far in 3-4 hours game play. I can't see much replayability with this game but with the price (especially while it's currently on special) it's definitely worth it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros - Doesn't require a super computer to run - Challenging game-play that doesn't require Superman's reflexes and Batman's intelligence to get past the third level. - Visually pleasing, doesn't rely on hyper-realism - The storyline is decidedly not about people murdering each other in a gory war between good and evil Cons - Very weak cliche storyline - There isn't really much time during the actual level to plan what to do and it can quickly devolve into a mindless click fest (Usually…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually don't like time management games but this one is pretty fun. And with a theme as tame as gardening, no less. There are lots of different varieties of level themes, mechanics, puzzles, and challenges to keep things fresh. Graphics and sound are aesthetically pleasing and fits the theme well. My only real complaint is that levels with the fog mechanic almost always require a 2nd playthrough to earn a good time because you need to know what is behind foggy areas to determine the most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These types of games are great if you want to kill a little time. Don't pay full price, but get it if you enjoy casual time management sims.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Weird, but I liked this game...hmmm...game on training wheels. The point is you fix up 30 or so gardens save the cash and make your own pretty in the meantime. There is always a best way to fix up each board and no real way to loose. Good to play with half a brain when you are doing something else like listening to podcasts or reading blogs. Don't expect a good story as the ending throws away any "tension" in a non-sensical finish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a cute little time management game where you clear things like debris, fix broken fountains, get rid of ghosts, and boat across rivers/ponds. I personally think it is well paced and they add in new concepts slow enough to give you time to acclimate. I find it very rewarding to try and get gold on each level. 7-8/10, definitely recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holds up surprisingly well. It could be my nostalgia talking, but as long as you can squint through the graphics, it is fully an enjoyable experience. Despite being a time management game, it is actually quite relaxing. The difficulty is well balanced in my opinion - it's easy to get high scores, but you do have to think and adapt to every map, which makes it a fun strategy game while also keeping the stakes low. Forgiving, cozy and relaxing. Just don't look at the plot. Like at all. And maybe…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gardens Inc is a very relaxed puzzle game. Player will help a girl to rebuild a beautifully villa. Note: Check my Steam guide if you have a problem with game launching. Pros: +Nice music. +Colorful game screens. +Various interesting puzzles. +Pass challenges to earn trophies. +Use artifacts to improve work efficiency. +A mysterious main quest about town founder. Cons: -No pause function.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. Good resource and time balance. In the last levels ghosts and thefts can be annoying and they appear too often.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like it, it's fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love that it has a story line and levels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a short game, and while there isn't a lot of typical replayability, I do start over and replay it occasionally, and always enjoy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally got this game and I like it a lot. For some reason the game is hard to start correctly because it flashes into a different resolution and you have to click the screen until it just lets the game run. I wish I could run it in my native 1440p resolution but at least I can play the game in the resolution that it allows, which I think is like 720p or 800 x 600 or something.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played through the Garden Gnome games which were fun but had a few glitches here and there. So far no glitched in Gardens Inc. This game has been a bit more challenging to get gold times and the bonuses but after a short bit of thinking and trying a new strategy, it wasn't that hard. Pretty relaxing game all in all with really good graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute casual game. One of the trophies was a pain to collect though. It's a bit dated and would love to have some Steam achievements for this title. If I could, I would give it a neutral rating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick, fast, straight forward game Enjoyed playing this clicky, puzzly game as a palate cleanser for when my current zombie survival got a bit stressful Have finished the game but will continue to play to collect all the trophies. Will definitely be picking up the rest of the series once I am done. Story line was interesting enough to keep engagement but was by no means amazing. Pros -Only have to click about, so you can snack and play. IDEAL -Simple enough that you can listen to an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ever since a (now former) girlfriend introduced me to ranch rush and later my farm life, I was looking for something similar on steam. Well...here it is. A bit of a different concept here, but it has the same time management frenzy going on. You basically send out your meeples to clear paths, gather resources or build buildings. Later these buildings'll unlock other meeples like plant waterers, ghostbusters and bird chasers. All in all, you click on whatever needs to be done next to have it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good clicker type game if you're looking to spend an hour or two not thinking about too much :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh. This isn't worth the money. Too easy to finish and absolutely no replayability. Note: I didn't buy this on purpose - it was part of a Fanatical package.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hi, i have enjoyed playing this at my pace and completed it. i couldnt beat the time countdown tho lol if you looking for a game that can be paused and go for break or tend to the kids i recommed this :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and adventurous, although tougher as you get to the higher levels. However, I will say that as the levels progress, you barely make enough money to update your house. It would be more beneficial if the money you earn transfers over to the next level. The level where you pay your workers? Useless, unless you do half the work yourself!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game. Can pick up and put down at any given time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun casual/time management game. Not super difficult, but entertaining enough to want to get gold and bonuses. I play these when I'm killing time before work, or avoiding chores.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a decent casual game. It's simple to learn and easy to understand, but the pace gets high enough to give it a moderate degree of challenge, particularly if you try to earn all the trophies. It's an appropriate choice for the casual gamer looking for a time-killer that doesn't demand a lot of commitment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This time management game is colorful, a bit challenging, and generally a treat for those who like these sorts of games. For those who haven't playeed them, they are pretty simple games: You have tasks to complete, workers that complete them for you, and the idea is to finish a level as quickly as possible, usually by a combination of fast clicking and completing the taasks in an efficient order. To be honest, I don't worry much about the time aspect, but I find this one more difficult to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Strangely cute game. Played about 2 hours before realizing it was 1am and I needed to sleep. You're tasked with restoring your grandparents villa, all the while gardening to earn money to win the grand prize in a gardening competition. Pros: - Interesting gameplay - Frantic time challenges with every level - Strategy involved with managing resources during every level Cons: - The music can get repetitive - Money is hard to earn, which makes reparing your villa an arduous task All in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good at first, some levels near the end are a bit boring with ghosts and money ressource, but it's still a good time management game with a real story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It´s like Lemmings, but hardcore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really like this one. It's a time managment game. You fix up gardens. If you've played this genre of game before you'll love it. If you havn't this might be a good one to start with. You'll either really like it, or hate it and never play another one. Either way this is a solid buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most bafflingly charming casual time-management gardening sim / stealth infiltration mystery RPG with visual novel cutscenes that I've ever run across. I sincerely hope there's more, and I enjoy the sequel to this game just as much. Every level in the game is timed, but how much time you take determines whether you get a bronze medal (no time limit), silver medal (whether you get this or narrowly miss it will usually depend on your skill, and the game balance is very good), or a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I bought the game I thought it would be something to play in between. Reality shows other ways. This game is not just like farmville and oll the other gardening games. Otherwise I wouldn'T have played it so long. You have a back story and your own quest in every level. This is mainly farming but not the only thing. The level can be very tricky, if you want to do them in time. If you don't do- well, that's no problem either because you only earn less money. This is the main critical point…
