Trump backed down from Project Freedom because Saudi Arabia and Kuwait suspended use of their airspace and bases by US forces. I agree that he isn't playing 4D chess. He's playing at the level of "War" or "Go Fish." He's also playing the game of "Trading on Insider Information."

For some reason my sample core ends up in the ‘Unspecified’ category but hey, at least it shows up on the pocket and does its thing (which is currently…nothing. It’s just Analog’s template code for now). #AnaloguePocket #FPGA #Indiedev #ProjectFreedom #pfx

Heya folks, here's a short featuring the intro to Project Freedom by City Interactive and Ci Games. This game doesn't have subtitles for its cutscenes, so I added some to the video. I'll have a proper short featuring the game soon. #projectfreedom #videogames #retrogaming #spacesim #gameplay

👾 Just posted pf-dev-tools v1.0.5: ✅ Added better user feedback when docker image needs downloading. ✅ Renamed Environment to SConsEnvironment. ✅ Added an automatic check for when updates are available. ✅ Improved the way some error messages are displayed. https://pypi.org/project/pf-dev-tools/ #OpenFPGA #FPGA #AnaloguePocket #ProjectFreedom #pfx1

New blog post: Hello, World! Catching up on the state of my fantasy console #FPGA project. Real code builds, processor is emulated in the simulator and more! 🎉🕹️👾 https://didier.malenfant.net/blog/projectfreedom/2023/02/27/hello-world.html #ProjectFreedom #pfx #GameDev #IndieDev

A movie is worth 24000 words a second, right? Here is a bit of the firmware code, then a bit of sample code to test printf (and my libc), the bootstrapping code on the hardware, the bare bones gfx chip and the result on the simulator. The code gets compiled to 68000 assembly and runs emulated on the simulator, which is also emulating the gfx chip (which doesn't do much at the moment, just clear the screen and swap display buffers). BUT IT WORKS!!!!! 😱😍🎉🍾 #ProjectFreedom #GameDev #IndieDev

Project Freedom is separate from Epic Fury? The 2 minute offense, is still part of a football game, you look!

Trump is in a bad mood because no one came to his golf game If Iranians continue to target commercial ships during the so-called Project Freedom escort operation, the Iranian regime will “be blown off the face of the earth,” Trump told Fox News www.the-independent.com/news/world/a...

Here we go… first bit of ‘real’ work done on the graphics chip. It takes two 16-bit values as input and displays them as a debug overlay on the screen. This will be super useful for debugging the core… #ProjectFreedom #pfx1

Trying to nail down on paper what’s been in my head for the last few weeks. The idea would be to have CPU and GFX work in their own memory domain most of the time with the gfx chip exposing registers and also have a 'pass-thru’ mode where the gfx chip just more or less maps its VRAM memory out to the outside, allowing for uploading graphics or updating display lists. Gfx chip would be halted in that mode so maybe only allowed during vblank? 🧵1/2 #AnaloguePocket #FPGA #ProjectFreedom #pfx

Started thinking about how code will be split up between the firmware and the SDK lib… I would imagine, for example, that malloc needs to be in the firmware so that it’s shared between the two. #ProjectFreedom #IndieDev

One more step toward simulating the hardware. We now have a bare bones MMU, GPU and some place holder code for where the CPU will go… and colors-changing backgrounds ❤️💙💜💛💚🧡 https://didier.malenfant.net/blog/projectfreedom/2023/01/30/simulating-hardware.html #FPGA #ProjectFreedom #IndieDev #AnaloguePocket
