unlabelledView post →"Pretty Baby." I saw it when I was about 19 or 20. I watched it again in recent years to see if maybe I'd have a different perspective. Nope, still garbage. Luckily, it didn't ruin my relationship because the girl I went to see that movie with has been my wife for 37 years

unlabelledView post →The first five or so years of Brooke Shields' career, frankly. She was in nude scenes at the age of *11* while making PRETTY BABY, a film about a young girl who was being trafficked into prostitution in a brothel!
unlabelledView post →Perhaps he’s thinking of the movie “Pretty Baby” where Brooke shields was 11 or 12.
unlabelledView post →Brooke Shields was born in May 1965. If the 1975 photo shoot was after May, she would've been 10. She turned 11 in May 1976. Pretty Baby was shot in the spring of 1977 (according to Wikipedia), before she turned 12. The movie was released in 1978.
unlabelledView post →Watched Pretty Baby. Holy hotdogs, I don't think they'd make a movie like this nowadays! Stangely enough, makes working in a brothel look fun. Quite the nostalgic take on that. Also a rather blasé take on child prostitution and marriage. Definitely not a good first date movie.

unlabelledView post →Hoping it's not Paramount, or every movie will either be a remake of "Pretty Baby", star James Woods & Mel Gibson, or both.
unlabelledView post →On this day (26th September) in 1989, the Scala Cinema was showing Zazie dans le Métro, Lift To The Scaffold aka Elevator To The Gallows and Pretty Baby as a Louis Malle triple bill.
unlabelledView post →PRETTY BABY with Brooke Shields was practically a crime on film. I'm glad even with the witch hunt atmosphere our culture is moving beyond normalized pedophilia. It's part of why the teen pop of the millennium era made me sick - but mainly it was the music itself.
unlabelledView post →Director Lana Wilson is also known for her work on “Pretty Baby” (2023) a documentary about Brook Shields’ experience with child stardom and objectification in Hollywood. Also, “After Tiller” (2013) a documentary about four American doctors who are third trimester abortion providers.
unlabelledView post →"When she was 11, Shields [...] appeared naked in French director Louis Malle's controversial film Pretty Baby in 1978. She also appeared in a series of nude photos for the publication Sugar 'n' Spice in 1975 when [she] was ten." My maths isn't great, but this doesn't add up.
unlabelledView post →I recently watched Pretty Baby, the Brooke Shields doc & also re-watched the Louis Malle film about WWI-era Storyville, in which she plays a 12-year-old prostitute & has a couple nude scenes. The kids who grew up on those Nick shows are just now hearing about it, & are OUTRAGED it even exists....

unlabelledView post →There's big money in selling child virgins to old rich rapists. It's a topic in many books, foreign movies, plus the American made movie, Pretty Baby. Plus old musicals touch on the subject, like Les Misérables. Trump's lawyers are prepping groomer Ghislaine Maxwell to LIE in exchange for a pardon.

unlabelledView post →I watched Pretty Baby, the Brooke Shields documentary, not to be confused with the Brooke Shields child sex worker movie of the same name, and my takeaway from it is a lot of people should thank their lucky stars that she’s happy and well-adjusted and she doesn’t want revenge.
unlabelledView post →If you ever see Pretty Baby with an ELEVEN year old Brooke Shields, you will faint. That was basically soft p*rn. Like that movie is a Pedos fantasy. Lolita is also a pedos fantasy. Lolita made me wanna throw up I didn’t even finish it. That movie made me so uncomfortable I just turned it off

unlabelledView post →Remember the movie "Pretty Baby"?
unlabelledView post →Model/Actor Brooke Shields was 11 when she appeared in the film “Pretty Baby” as a child prostitute. She also appeared nude in Playboy. At 11. She was 14-15 in “The Blue Lagoon” a body double was used, but she had her hair glued to her breasts in certain scenes.
unlabelledView post →When the Brooke Shields documentary came out, I re-watched Pretty Baby, wondering if I would hate the film I had liked at 18. But I actually liked it more, because now I know enough about film to appreciate how Malle’s camera does not leer or titillate or objectify.

unlabelledView post →Pretty Baby (1978) ★★★★ Watched: Nov 1, 202 This is a good film for talking about the value of art versus the conditions of its creation. As a work, it engages a difficult topic to say something valuable about the sexualization of young women's bodies to slake men's power fantasies. 1/
unlabelledView post →I keep thinking of the movie Pretty Baby. Where Brooke Shields played a little girl sold her virginity to the highest bidder. Men are just scum. Her mom let that movie happen. She was too young. She was too young for Blue Lagoon.
