The goal of each board is to grab all the eggs, then walk over every circle. A chick will hatch out of every egg you touch and start following you, forcing you to play Snake until you can drop them onto the circles and get rid of them. For maximum points, you need to pick up every egg on the board before stepping on a single circle, turning most boards into a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clever mix between Pac-Man and Snake. Gameplay is all about collecting eggs which then turn into ducklings and then delivering them to designated spots on the map. The longer the chain the harder it becomes and more points you gonna get. After clearing the stage you can warp inside smaller parts of the level. If you sustain combo for much longer you will enter fever mode which gives you more points and ability to bash your foes. As you collect more eggs throughout the game you will unlock new…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has great visuals and music, but the gameplay is what breaks it for me. Moving Pix the Cat is way too slippery, especially when the game moves faster as you progress in the levels, causing you to easily break your combos. This, along with really long levels, makes restarting and succeeding in the game troublesome and irritating. I'd love to enjoy this game, but alas, it's not meant to be. Perhaps I would like it better if the damn cat wouldn't automatically move forward, making those…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a respectable arcade puzzle game. If you enjoy Pacman themed titles you would likely enjoy this as it requires similar skills. This isn't really one of my preferred genres however but I will give the developers credit on making a neat little game with various modes and depth to it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has the same slippery controls as something like Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, except here the smallest error can be catastrophic which makes the imprecision intolerable. Arcade mode is basically a memory test. Literally any other maze chase game in existence is better than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wanted to enjoy this game but the controls completely ruined it for me. They are just far too unresponsive and the way they have been designed makes it hard to navigate open areas so I just kept going in directions I wasn't intending to ormy button presses felt far too delayed. A real shame as the presentation and concept is great, but something went wrong with the game control design which I assume is intentional but just makes it nigh-on unplayable for me. Your mileage may vary but I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a fast paced game with terrible controls
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor control delay issues kinda hamper what I'd otherwise think was a neat game, if a bit.. derivitive of other.. better.. games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game got it less then a dollar
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun idea but horrible execution. Controls are unresponsive making the game unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too sluggish of controls for the precision required.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pix the Cat plays like a combination of Snake and Pacman Championship Edition DX. That combo certainly has the potential to be awesome. Unfortunately, the game does not control nearly as well as Pacman. Since you need to take very specific paths through the levels, turning on precisely the right tile basically every time, imprecise controls really kill the experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's snake, but done in a Pac-Man-esque style. But Pix the CAT? really, that is a cat.... huh.. well... there you go then. Not bad, not great, fun for a bit if you need to kill a little time. Oh yeah, and maybe it's just me, but the controller response seems a little sluggish on quick turns.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Pac-Man Championship Edition DX of Snake, but 3 fast 5 me For as similar as it looks, Snake is much harsher than Pac-Man: there's fewer walls to buffer inputs, and it can't meaningfully allow extra tries. This game tries so hard and I commend it for it, but the concept paints it into a corner that it failed to engineer itself out of: it's stressful and makes you feel bad for not playing perfectly, and I don't know anyone who plays Snake perfectly. This game is also pretty, but FLASHY to a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super House of Dead Ninjas (Beat the clock descend a tower action game, heavy on keeping up momentum as much as possible) Pix the Cat (Feels like it has influence from Pac-Man, Snake, and Chu Chu Rocket, great art direction) Super Hexagon (Minimalist game that feels like vector graphics titles)
unlabelledView post →Pix the Cat is a beautiful arcade game with terrible controls. The presentation is certainly top-notch. The art style is quite similar to Chu Chu Rocket even if the gameplay itself is quite different and much closer to Snake. Unfortunately the controls are the weak link here. Getting a high score is highly reliant on keeping your multiplier up and this requires memorizing the maps and minimal mistakes. Unfortunately the controls are nowhere near precise enough for this. Both keyboard and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this for ages on PlayStation where it was a PS+ game, decided to buy it on Steam. Sadly, I keep getting hit by some kind of bug where just a couple of levels in, the game starts ignoring button/joystick input. It's definitely not a problem with my Steam Deck because this is the only game where I've had this happen. Sad.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a super cute little puzzle game with a ton of polish and love put into it. Great sound and visual design; Laboratory and Nostalgia modes are really well put together. As I am writing this, the servers are still up for daily and all-time high scores. Absolutely worth the money. <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly one of the best arcade/score attack games I've ever played. Pix the Cat is a psychedelic mix of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and Snake. Aesthetically, the game is amazing. Adorable art, fluid animation and trippy visuals help make the game that bit more captivating and charming. Even the menus have character and a sort of "life" to them. Pix the Cat is easily one of the most joyous and upbeat games I've played too. The main game mode is fiendishly difficult and super addictive. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pix the Cat is an interesting concept that will be fun or not based on your tolerance for all-or-nothing mechanics and high levels of failure punishment. The basic mode in Pix is an arcade experience where you're trying to walk over eggs to gather hatchlings. The hatchlings extend behind you in a tail, and you want to take each hatchling to a drop off point without looping back on yourself or running into walls. Keeping your tail increases your combo and your movement speed. There are a few…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You just memorize the boards and make an optimal path over and over again. It’s snake and pacman without the randomness that leads to divergent puzzle solving.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had the chance to play the game for a few minutes and was instantly hooked by it. From the overwhelming positive reviews I decided to buy it. The negative comments about input lag are not true in my case. Though the arcade stick is the only input device I own which is precise enough. But the game feels after multiple attempts very dull and repetitive. It feels like I play a Tetris game with 30 pre-defined sequences. The game asks for countless inputs in a short time frame and only a single…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is very difficult to control the character which damageable for an arcade game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →at least it had cards
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad PC port. There's some input lag that totally ruins what is otherwise a great game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's basically a new take on "snake",. mixed with pac-man,. and some puzzle elements. Pretty unique in it's own right so far, and it's fairly fun with plenty to unlock. However... Downsides: - Controls are a bit wonkey,. this is obviously a port of some sort as keyboard support is not very well done. (From selecting game modes, to entering your name at the credits using up and down arrows) - Bad zooming, some levels are smaller, some are huge. - Insanely psychedelic coloring that constantly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first glance this game would seem like a direct clone of "Pac Man Championship edition". It even sorta has a similar vibe as that game with the art style. However, turns out this game is a bit more challenging than Pac Man Championship Edition. First off, you are a cat moving through a maze. You eat eggs which then pop out little duckies that trail behind you. Your job is to lead the duckies to a "drop off" zone without getting trapped by a long string of duckies. So far it's pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice and interesting game. Maybe it is cause I just love cats! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Todays doodle is Pix the Cat, which i think is an extremely underrated game. go play it! #PixtheCat 🐱
unlabelledView post →Pix the Cat is kind of like Pac Man or Ms Pac Man. It's a fun little game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game personally, arcade mode is very fun. This game, surprisingly, has the best visuals I ever seen. Soundtracks, even if they simple and short, are absolute bop. This game oozing with charm. Sadly this game got of slightly mixed reception from other people (as I seen, mostly because of bugs and controls, and I didn't encounted there issues yet), but you should give a try, maybe you would like this game too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember those Sega GameGear commercials where the kid playing Gameboy hits himself in the face with a squirrel to get color? Now imagine that kid was playing Nokia Snake on a phone... This Psychedelic snake-esque game really is quite amazing. The variety of game modes and puzzles are quite engaging and "Just one more play" is always racing through my mind...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't underestimate this game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a highly polished one-minite-wonder arcade game which uses the "grow longer and don't run into walls/your tail" mechanic from Snake and the running around a maze mechanic from Pac-Man. The only notable difference is you must collect eggs at different spots on the map (which increases your "snake" "tail" length) and drop the elements of your "tail" into holes, also located in various spots around the map. The positioning of the eggs and the holes, and the shape of the map determines…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall - 60/100 Pass: you get no cat-like abilities, and progressing in the game is tedious & repetitive. Playing as a cat - 20/20 Yes! Acting like a cat - 0/20 While you're technically playing as a cat, you don't seem to get ANY cat-like abilities. The sprite might as well be pacman. Adorableness Level - 10/20 There's a cat, and there a little ducks that follow you around! Polish - 20/20 Good and polished, and the graphics are nice for a "retro" style game. Didn't find any bugs. FUN!…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's snake mixed with pac man.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a never-ending source of excitment that stops only when some stupid mines get in your way. And as if the main mode wasn't enough, the additional ones aren't an extra, but a completely new game in the same game. Buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was brought here on recommendation of someone who said the arcade theme song was one of his favorite videogame songs ever. So I played it for a bit and then ... gosh, I really like this game. It really is a cross between Snake and Pac-Man, but better-presented than even the Championship edition(s?) of Pac-Man. It's quirky and interesting and really challenging, and seems to go on long enough to get as hard as you can survive. It's got more interesting and challenging mechanics (speeding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the art style but hate the gameplay
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to Pacman Championship Edition, but with an ever changing field. Really fun. bETTER GRAPHICS AND LOAD times than the ps vita version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modern arcade game featuring the internet's favorite animal: cats! You'll be addicted to chasing down high-scores and unlocking all of the bonus content. Online leaderboards are at the ready, giving competition at every turn. Local multiplayer versus modes can be enjoyed by all felines who are ready to battle it out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a surprise! Got this one real cheap on a bundle and usually I don't have much hope in those little games (more often than not they aren't any good) but this one... oh boy! This game is the new best thing since pac-man! So simple and yet so addictive, the sound track is awesome and the game rhythm can get really frenetic making you pump gallons of adrenaline when you're avoiding breaking your combos while trying to detect the best route possible in fractions of a second. Mind you, if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little arcade title that combines the elements of Pacman and Snake that will most likely be enjoyed more by kids because of its art style and simple nature. While I myself didn't find it compelling enough to continue playing it, the shine and polish when it comes to the games presentation is very prevalent. If you're a fan of the arcade Pacman or similar games then there's certainly something to be enjoyed here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Operating on the same basic mechanics, Pix the Cat features multiple modes that could probably be presented as separate little games instead. The arguable showcase is the Pac-Man reminiscent Arcade. There are multiple similarities to the relatively recent Pac-Man Championship Editions in particular, with the whole game being on a timer, a rising speed meter and presenting a series of little boards for you to clear. And let's not forget Championship Edition DX had those little ghosts following…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not as fun as Pacman or Snake, but it tries to be both. It's a fun idea on paper, but it all comes down to controls and gameplay, and this game let me down. It's unforgiving and difficult, and the game has a somewhat sloppy feeling to the controls, so you need to use the arrow keys for best results. The limitations and high expectations of Arcade Mode leave you frustrated and dissappointed. The other game modes are boring. Once the novelty of the bells and whistles wear off of this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty fun and challenging! There are many puzzles, which makes Pix the Cat a game to play for hours after hours. The achievements are pretty hard to unlock and it's good for this kind of game, cause it makes you feel more will to play it after fail. The graphics are cute and colorful, the sound effects are also gracious and it makes the gameplay even more nice. So, I think Pix the Cat is a good buy. =)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun arcade puzzler that feels very much like a mix between Pac Man and Snake. The main arcade modes are all about time management and perfect movement and get pretty intense. The visuals are really nice 2D stuff with an "inception"-y zoom in to the next level, and some puzzles actually require you to go back up a level to snake around, pretty neat stuff. There's two puzzle modes--one is a time-management frenzy with random eggs you have to dash to get to (kinda boring, but the old-timey…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - The music slaps - a lot of collectibles - nostalgia (i used to play pix n' love rush all the time on a tablet. good times. i wonder what happened to the game.) - good way to kill time - fun Cons: - slippery controls - WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ IS THE GAMES FONT ARIAL FONT. JUST WHY. - the tips are usually pretty vague. overall i give it a 7.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kind of like Pac-Man but not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are abysmal. It doesn't register the way I pressed it. The game sometimes crashing for unknown reason. I don't know what to say. Great game but bad execution
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's kinda like Snake, often you'll try to turn but will do it a little too late and miss your target and get stuck into eating your own tail and that's bad. Uh... I guess it's ok, but there isn't an 'ok' button. I suppose it's not something that's really worth paying for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and psychedelic arcade game along the lines of Nibbler (or Snake). Technically impeccable its strongest point is the gameplay that will keep you hooked for a long time. While the main game is great the same cannot be said for some of the variations offered, it's a mater of taste though since they are all incredibly well presented. All in all developers that are soo talented and put so much care in their products should be supported by law, give them your money!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes my day every time I play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun a couple times through the levels. But doesn't hold my attention for very long. Needs a way to play individual levels without going through all of them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it in a bundle and it is not my style at all. However it is an extremely polished game that plays and looks great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if the preview video has you interested.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun little casual game. You're bored and have nothing to do right now? Run this game and you will have fun for the next 15 minutes. It has cute graphics and good music. You're a cat collecting eggs to hatch ducklings and the more you get your speed grows and it gets harder and harder. Trying to best yourself is the most fun. "I just hit 800 000! I bet I can hit 1 000 000 as well! Let's try it out" and then you sit there, trying to beat your own highscore. You can let friends play this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game intentionally has controls like a dump truck. I find playing it really mediocre for this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Took me 5 minutes to see that this game wasn't even close to fun. Took me another 7 to see if I could actually change my own mind. I didn't.
