BUT ... I mean, I get it that the game is built around it's jumping mechanics and it's floaty for a reason. Too bad it isn't implemented in a more playable way, because the way it is mostly everytime you die is because of the controls.…

This game is challenging in a very good way. I had to repeat a few levels, but when you know how to beat a level, you can do it on a single life. Currently I'm in the last world and levels there are bigger and way harder, so it's takes more time to finish them. I really liked the controls. They are somewhat different than in other similar games and you need…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not enjoy the game because of a few reasons. -The platforming felt unreliable and unresponsive, like the game just uses some standard physics engine. -The developer has not added a dead zone to the gamepad sticks, the character moves on its own sometimes. -The game (first part of it anyway) has no depth to it, just move left to right, jump over stuff. I love the art style, the levels are well deigned - the reason I got it in the first place.

Off she went looking for their first meal. Hiding behind a thick branch and looking at what was unfolding with one sharp eye was the evil Pirate bird! As soon as mummy bird left the three little cuties, Pirate bird kidnapped the new born trio! This is the story of the Avenger Bird! Avenger Bird is a platformer game where you…

This basically means that if your analog stick or joystick isn't COMPLETELY center, the character will be moving, albeit slowly (based on the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm past half the levels (20 out of 32), and I'm shocked that this game got only mixed reviews. Ok, it's a simple game, it lacks substance for sure, but it is a fun platformer nonetheless. Basically you have to collect all coins in a level and then head for the door, while avoiding enemies and traps. Optionally, you can also collect a gem, that is usually harder to get to. What makes Avenger Bird fun to play is the flying mechanics. It's not very complex, and it's nothing like Flappy Bird,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice game that deserves more attention. At first glance I thought this game was a clone of the infamous iPhone game Flappy Bird. Turns out it’s something much more interesting. You control a red bird that flips to jump and slides to gain extra distance. The goal is simple: collect all coins, avoid enemies and reach the ending door. The concept sounds easy but the gameplay is challenging. The bird flips feel unevenly, so mastering a smooth flip and slide is key to reaching higher platforms…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Avenger Bird is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is a Nintendo Switch handheld console port, and it's garbage. The most remarkable thing about this trash is that Nintendo allowed it on Switch. Valve, of course, allows everything, because QA costs money. Anyway, here we are, with a crap platformer ripping off the art style from Flappy Bird (this is a lot like saying you want…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are too many issues ridiculous gameplay, graphics, musics. You can't return to the main menu from tutorial taking you back to the start of the tutorial. There are still 2 empty modes with "Coming Soon" sign which is funny. It took 7 minutes to exit and uninstall it. This is just a frustration.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Avenger Bird, developed by TiliaSoft and published by Ultimate Games S.A., is a small-scale platformer that draws heavily from classic arcade sensibilities, focusing on precision, repetition, and mechanical mastery rather than narrative depth or modern design complexity. It positions itself as a nostalgic throwback, embracing the simplicity and challenge of older games while delivering a compact experience built around a single core idea. The premise is minimal and functional: players take…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a hesitant thumbs up. Its got a lot of potential. Its got a very Mario-esque overworld, and an old school platforming/collect-a-thon style. The real killer is the mechanics that make this game unique. The flying and gliding just never feel right, and often feel like more of a chore than a positive quality of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The reviews are true!!!! I'm so sad, this is my first ever thumbs down, everything about this little game is great BUT the mechanics, it doesn't matter how nice a game looks and sounds but if it's just a burden trying to control the character, them it sucks all the joy out of it, if this game gets an update with patch notes stating control fixes then i will try again, i really want to clear the map and get those little birdies back!!!

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You're not a "flappy bird", and you're not Flicky. You can only flap twice and glide for a couple of seconds before you have to perch and take a rest. So you have to figure out how to get all the rings and treasures with different combinations of these three moves. Flap-flap-glide, flap-glide-flap, glide-flap-flap (remember you can glide straight from a ledge to save your flaps). It's tricky, but achievable. Just don't flap right into another animal, or it will squish you!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay and the art style are nice at first, but the problems appear as the game goes: some mechanics don't seem to work very well, the game gets really frustrating towards the end, the art is inconsistent, some menus are weird, the music gets repetitive and the screen transitions are too slow, so dying and respawning takes a lot of time. So, despite enjoying the game on the first worlds, i couldn't finish it.
