Optional Achievement(s): Yes (~41 achievements). Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro The farming sim genre has been on the rise recently. Kyk neh, when I started this game and I was hard locked to ‘Joe’ I immediately became a bit apprehensive. I do not like not being able to customize my character and especially choose my gender and my voice. Those things matter. People like being represented and having choice. There was a bit of salt in the wound when they named the player character Joe. No offense to the Joe’s out there. It’s so bland. Oh but they use this to its full advantage. The jokes. Oh bless the devs’ souls, the…

This is a comedy farming sim game (with minor point-and-click elements) about an amnesiac named Joe, who has washed ashore on a beach of Peachleaf Island and is forced to start a new life there. Info • The game saves at the end of a day when the player elects to sleep. Joe passes out automatically at 2 AM and wakes up with less energy. • Time constantly progresses unless the menu is open or a cutscene is happening. • Gameplay involves: gathering/foraging, chopping wood, mining,…

Peachleaf Pirates is an enchanting game that takes you on a thrilling adventure on the high seas, offering a charming story, engaging game-play, and vibrant visuals. With a memorable soundtrack, customisation options, and cooperative multiplayer, it immerses you in a pirate's life. While it has a learning curve and limited content, the game's unique charm and immersive experience make it a delightful choice for fans of pirate-themed adventures. This game is easily worth more at its current…

Peachleaf Pirates is a combination of three core mechanics: farming simulator, roguelike action and RPG (a few quests without ethical choices, lack of minimum variability; childish script - characters, dialogues, main story plot; even more childish humor). The game is made in minimalistic pixel art style. It looks simple, at times even primitive, but it is able to create at least a shade of a thick tropical island atmosphere. Appearance is the least problem of the game. The game is obviously…

"well well well, what do we have here? a well?" A bit of a gem in the rough this, while i havent gotten far yet, there is quite a few Quality of life things id like changed. 1, watered crops can be hard to spot, so i'd love to see that improved somehow, maybe just make the soil even darker when watered. it does become darker, but the crops shadows hide that fact which makes it hard to see 2, you cant use the 1-0 keys to select tools, this should be given, it might be possible to change in the…

This is a very interesting game, a surprisingly comfortable combination of Monkey Island and Stardew Valley. I think more could have been done with integrating the farming sim mechanics with the point and click adventure, but it's definitely worth a go if you're even slightly intrigued by the concept My only real gripes with the game are a couple of minor difficulties with the controls, and the lack of ability to save on quit. A very common problem with the farming sim genre unfortunately.

Firstly I'd like to say a heart felt thankyou because it is very rare to see a developer take the time to answer every single one of their players questions or bug fixes/problems. the fact you reply back in depth to their problem or question shows that you truly care about your game and the people who play it. fantastic work to you and you team. I play a lot of these types of game as well as others and so far thoroughly enjoy the game play, quirky characters and i will quote another players…

A fun, albeit small, farm-sim/adventure game, with some devilishly tricky puzzles and a lot of subtle (and not so subtle) humour. I needed to remap some of the controls to have a better game experience (the e key is overused imo, and the defaults are not all obvious), but otherwise it was a enjoyable ~40 hours of playtime.

Partly Stardew Valley inspired and mixed with some Monkey Island 1-2 style graphics and adventure design. Lots of charm and some good humour. Overall pretty well rounded game at a notably small price point.

Kind of an odd mix here, the game wants to be several things at once and I'm not sure if it's doing it for me, I'm losing interest fast, which is super weird for a genre that's full of very long games. In short, I'm rating it a no, but it's a soft no. I'll try not to write a super long review, but I'll give the TL;DRs of the three aspects of the game that the dev mentions in the game's description: RPG- there's 2+1 skill trees for combat. Melee, ranged, and voodoo. The vast majority of content…

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this game for $.74. I felt a little silly buying it because I thought it might end up in the backlog pile, forever doomed to the gloomy, cobwebby confines of my Steam library. I'm surprised and pleased to say that after a couple of hours, I became invested -- it has a "one more day" quality for me. What makes it so addictive? It's like a snappier, simpler Stardew Valley, with farming, fishing, animal tending, mining, fighting, and crafting. It lacks a…

So far this is worth the money IMHO. Seems to be a mix of an Adventure and Farm Sim game (and some RPG style progression tossed in). Kinda like Stardew Valley meets Monkey Island (at least based on the writing). I like the story so far and it's not just a cookie cutter game. Could use a bit of UI improvement for some quality of life but it's mostly there. Needs better controller implementation, though. It works, but not 100%. Hopefully there is continual development on it to finish up the…

For the price, this game is absolutely fantastic! This game has three main elements: farming, combat, and point and click adventure. I mostly bought the game because of the first two, but the adventure part of it is fun so far, if a little difficult/obscure at times. In that sense, it's a bit old school and very not hand-holdy, which could be good or bad depending on what you want from a game. Overall, the balance is decent, but it does seem pretty easy to break the economy if you focus on…

Very enjoyable pixel game set in a tropical paradise, feels like stardew valley in a way. But the game has Goblins that steal crops, so that is a plus. Only need to figure out how my guy can run like in the trailer. Updated: Seems the shift button is used to run, use it is my advice.

This is a fun game with some neat elements and an entertaining premise, but I can't help feeling like it's incomplete. It has some stiff mechanics and the story often feels like it trips over itself while trying to reach a conclusion.

Fun so far. I'm still early in but figured I'd give some thoughts on it. - It's got great humor, puzzles, and an overall mystery that i look forward to exploring. - I like the pixelated design and the island/pirate theme. It's somewhat nostalgic and very charming. - This is a game about a specific character (no character creation). I don't mind this at all because it fits the story and the character is funny, but it may surprise or disappoint anyone expecting the usual farming/crafting game…

I admit I didn't give this game a ton of time. But I just didn't enjoy it. 1. The dialog holds you hostage. It gives options but you have to follow all of them not just pick one. 2. The systems feel clunky 3. Even with google I couldn't find how to have the character eat to regain health. 4. The characters besides the goblin/elf/I forget what he is were irritating. I commend that they got a game working well enough to get on steam, but it feels unfinished.

Peachleaf Pirates, developed by Dog Kiss Studio and published by Digerati, is an indie title that takes familiar ideas from several genres and blends them into a surprisingly pleasant adventure. Set on a tropical island, the game begins with a classic setup: the protagonist awakens after being shipwrecked, suffering from memory loss and stranded in an unfamiliar land. While this premise may sound conventional, the game quickly establishes its own identity through its lighthearted tone, colorful…

i'm still waiting for the game to get better, to stop being a stardew valley carbon copy and show its 'adventure game' influence some more. sure it had some funny gags and references but those don't make a game playable, even though i really do want to like this game. i'll change my review if it actually gets good but i don't have much faith in it.

I loved adventure games as a kid. As a teen, I discovered Harvest Moon. This neat little game combines two of my absolute favorite games from when I was growing up, and adds some newer stuff to the mix. It's humorous, and inexpensive. I enjoy the game a lot and can't wait to get further along in the progression!

Peachleaf Pirates released in 2021 by Dog Kiss Studio as a relatively unknown pirate themed point & click farm-sim adventure. Upon playing I could feel the heart and soul that went into it's simple retro styled graphics and it's lighthearted point & click adventure story sets it apart from the post-covid market saturation of cozy farming simulations. I'm enjoying my time with this game. Just be aware there are some very annoying bugs, a particular one makes controller use almost impossible, and the game is clearly abandoned and no longer being fixed. At this price point however, and sometimes going as low as 2$ during a sale, I wouldn't fault it its' flaws too much.

So far this game is golden. I had a bit of trouble at the beginning because for some reason, the 'D' key is double bound and I couldn't run right but once I eventually figured out what was going on, this game turned out to be a blast. It's simple, and reminiscent of Stardew Valley, but in the best ways. I've played for 4 hours so far and I feel like I've only scratched the surface. Felt like SDV combined with the humor of an old Sierra game, like Space Quest. I appreciate the work put into this, I can tell that the dev really cared and wanted to make the game good. I just found it mostly boring. The game does some things well. The environments are designed well and look good. There are a lot of skills and I could see how one could really make a huge farm that produces a lot. I just didn't feel compelled to do so. I made a few goblin scares, learned how to plant so…

Some progress is locked behind extreme money grind, some is locked behind random chance, some behind cryptic "puzzles" that expect you to scour every inch of the island to solve. There is a main quest that takes about an hour or two to complete. There are some short side quests. I came across a couple. I never figured out how to get into dungeons. Farming is the most boring part of it, and the fact it looks so much like a Stardew Valley clone in the beginning probably turns a lot of people away.
