unlabelledView post →Any '90s era Jackie Chan movie. I'm talking Rumble in the Bronx, Operation Condor, First Strike, or Super Cop. Just shut your brain off and enjoy the fun!
unlabelledView post →I just used an iTunes gift card to get ten Jackie Chan films and six Werner Herzog films. Now *that's* gonna be a hell of a movie marathon. AGUIRRE, THE WRATH OF GOD and OPERATION CONDOR 2: THE ARMOUR OF THE GODS, back to back, at last.

This is real life.” This feels like Operation Condor from the 1970s except they’re weaponizing fake news instead of assassinations (so far). Scandalous there isn’t more coverage!
unlabelledView post →The new Knightfall animated movie is now available for purchase, but my Knightfall episode with @cacomixpod.bsky.social has been available for free since last December. I can't guarantee that it's better than the movie, but it definitely features more Operation Condor and Timothy McVeigh.
unlabelledView post →Reminder to new users here: Dimension Films released Jackie Chan’s Armour of God series to the US in the wrong order and retitled the first film as a sequel. Operation Condor was originally Armour of God 2: Operation Condor and Operation Condor 2: Armor of God was originally just Armour of God.

unlabelledView post →"post a film you've seen 6+ times" is a bit unfair on a 90s kid who grew up in America with a 3mo summer vacation in 100F heat and Starz showing the same movies four times a day. Reckon I saw Jackie Chan's Operation Condor at least twice a week

unlabelledView post →@malcolmnance.bsky.social Movie w Bob Redford. “Three Days of the Condor”. Direct reference to Operation Condor in S America. Where the term disappeared was frightening to the umpteenth level. Also, ref “Dirty War” in Argentina. The agency was off the leash during Cold War. It’s here, now.

unlabelledView post →Movie called Armour of God 2: Operation Condor
unlabelledView post →There are even different cuts and dubs of the movie out there. We realised one third into the episode that I watched a different version. When I heard of the movie as a kid it was called Operation Condor instead of Armour of God 2. You can find the episode here rolistespod.com/podcast?cat=...

unlabelledView post →Actually, I had a similar problem with streaming. I was trying to watch a Jackie Chan film, Armor of God. It’s part of a series. In Hong Kong the series goes Armor of God, then Operation Condor. Operation Condor got a US release then Armor of God was released as Operation Condor 2 The Armor of God.
unlabelledView post →5. ARMOUR OF GOD 2: OPERATION CONDOR (a.k.a OPERATION CONDOR a.k.a OPERATION CONDOR 2) from 1991 was not my introduction to Jackie Chan, but it’s the movie that made me a fan! Between the stunt work and his aloof comedy, this film made me hunt down everything he’d done before and since.

This bunker fight at the end still delivers, though - I love the bit where Jackie and his opponents nod agree that maybe this stunt fight is a little too dangerous and back off a mo

Armour of God II: Operation Condor (1991) "What if Temple of Doom was the greatest movie ever made?" -Jackie Chan, 1991 Watched this last week and had a really good time, while the plot was pretty thin, the comedy in this more than makes up for it. Definitely gonna have to rewatch it soon.
unlabelledView post →Armor of God 2 Operation Condor: I don't mind the movie and there's a bunch of fun bits, I think I ended up enjoying the first one more. The moral of this story is that women ruin everything and cannot be trusted. Also once again, Jackie sustains a serious injury from a simple stunt.

unlabelledView post →"Armour of God II: Operation Condor" is a 60% awful movie that really brings to light that Jackie Chan is a talented asshole who can make a good action scene, but the majority of the scenes BETWEEN the action is fucking miserable. Jackie wrote and directed it, so when a scene is awful, blame him.
unlabelledView post →My choice was Armour of God 2 Operation Condor! Pretty solid movie, the usual comedy in some of the butt kicking action. Good humour :) I wonder if there is time for just ONE more?? :D

unlabelledView post →Finally got around to seeing Operation Condor, the second of Jackie Chan's Asian Hawk films. As with the first film (and most of Jackie's films during the 80s and 90s), the strength lies within the elaborate fight choreography and the physical comedy, rather than the plot or characters.
unlabelledView post →Probably my second Jackie Chan movie next to Operation Condor!
unlabelledView post →Many babies born in captivity were stolen and illegally adopted. These real events are portrayed in the Oscar-winning film The Official Story. This was part of what was known as Operation Condor, a coordinated campaign of state terror across Latin America (+)
unlabelledView post →I guess, but he's not directed a good movie since Drunken Master 2 arguably, maybe Who Am I if that counts (it's arguable neither of them count, as both were co-directed). CZ12 had a couple of inspired moments but was mostly pretty bad. So, last good solo directed effort is Operation Condor?
unlabelledView post →Today’s film - Armour of God II: Operation Condor
unlabelledView post →Continuing my #JackieChan day with #OperationCondor: #ArmourOfGod 2. I had some nostalgia for this movie and it does start off very strong and fast paced. But somewhere around the halfway point or even a bit before that, it starts to stretch every sequence just a little too far. Suddenly everything goes on foreeeeever. And it's also just a bit too silly eventually. If you haven't seen this movie in a while, give it a rewatch and let me know what you think.
unlabelledView post →Not surprised at all. "Call Me Francis" is a good movie on his life. He lost a friend to Operation Condor, among other things.
unlabelledView post →For Operation Condor we get… idk man. We once again have two models that aren’t in the movie, though there is an Asian sidekick and a blonde one in the film. These characters however bare no resemblance to them in appearance/personality, and the movie isn’t about spies. It’s an Indiana Jones riff.
unlabelledView post →a sequel that's bigger, better and even more daring. This time, Jackie's intrepid treasure hunter is on the hunt for some Nazi gold but recovering it will not be easy, let alone safe. The most expensive Hong Kong film produced at that time, Armour of God II: Operation Condor showcases
unlabelledView post →In the March `88 issue of Combat, Jackie Chan talked about what Golden Harvest wanted him to do next... 1) Go to America to do a film with Burt Reynolds and Phoebe Cates (no dice). 2) Do a "very Americanized film" with several international stars (this sort of became Operation Condor).
