The Foreigner
Quan is a humble London businessman whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love – his teenage daughter – dies in an Irish Republican Army car bombing. His relentless search to find the terrorists leads to a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official whose own past may hold the clues to the identities of the elusive killers. From TMDB

There are people who’ll tell you the Foreigner is good and you shouldn’t listen to them
unlabelledView post →Yes! Agree. Strictly Ballroom, which I haven’t seen in ages, is awesome! Must rewatch. I Love this film and wrote a whole chapter in conversation with it in Democracy and The Foreigner.

unlabelledView post →they have got to put Kraven the Hunter up somewhere for free because I am not paying $19.99 to watch a movie with the Foreigner in it and I am also not putting any effort into watching it through other means.
unlabelledView post →It finally happened to me: I was listening to a podcast and kept yelling my answer like the hosts could here me! 😂🤦🏾♂️ @chriscoxcritic.bsky.social @gholson.bsky.social the Jackie Chan/Pierce Brosnan movie you were thinking of was “THE FOREIGNER (2017)”. Great film, definitely worth checking out!

unlabelledView post →New trailer for Jackie Chan's latest movie, The Shadow's Edge, finally dropped! And damn, this looks pretty good. Late Jackie finally in The Foreigner mode again, and you've got Tony Ka-fai in the mix, too! Really hope this turns out good
unlabelledView post →15. The Foreigner. #SeagalSummit
unlabelledView post →The Foreigner (a.k.a. one of the best parts of that awful Kraven movie) becomes Xavier. And at 40 making him older than McAvoy when he first played the part, but definitely not as old as Patrick Stewart who was then pushing 60.
unlabelledView post →This will all obviously culminate in me watching @themajcman.bsky.social favorite movie, "The Foreigner"
unlabelledView post →#26: Kraven the Hunter Less incompetent than Madame Web, less messy than Morbius, but still horribly boring and convoluted. I'm giving this + 1 just for The Foreigner, who was by far the best part of the movie. I want a whole movie of just him. #filmsky 3/10

unlabelledView post →The Foreigner. It's a Jackie Chan film but more drama than his usual ones. He plays an ex-spy who claimed asylum in the UK, then his daughter is killed in an IRA bombing, so he goes on the rampage. #NotAloneTalk

unlabelledView post →Yeah. Asha herself. She was also in Love Hurts (another film that didn't have the best luck) and West Side Story (2021). And yeah, every one of these cast members deserved better. At least Christopher Abbott (the Foreigner) got a second chance at Marvel (do you know who?).

unlabelledView post →The Foreigner (2017) (movie night - jan. 16th 2026) Good movie, the sad parts at the start got me, but "chinese man bullies irish man for two on-screen hours" is very funny. Also, this movie seems to hate women, and it's very very strange. Ranking relevant
unlabelledView post →2. The Shadow's Edge (2025) Jackie Chan's best movie since The Foreigner (2017), but not a movie I would really recommend. Watching Jackie and Big Tony play off one another from the Market Surveillance scene through the Dinner scene is genuinely great, but everything else is flat and contrived.

unlabelledView post →I've heard really good things about this one, I'll have to check it out! I did like the 2017 movie The Foreigner that he was in, it had a darker tone and was more of a straight forward thriller.

I dropped the bombshell that is 'Jackie Chan: Black and Tan' at the end of the film. Dad nearly wet himself laughing. Irish mother less impressed. @macarthurboyd.bsky.social

unlabelledView post →For me, having watched it this past week, it's still Jackie's best movie since The Foreigner, but I found most of the movie to be very flat. Probably because the best parts of the film are Jackie and Big Tony playing off one another, and that was only about 20 minutes.

unlabelledView post →We need a streaming show/movie that follows ICE agents in these times. Title it "Cold as ICE" and intro it with the Foreigner song over a montage of actual raid clips. Plot follows 3 agents over Season 1. First 4 episodes they are the "protagonists" out on raids that are based on real events. 1/
unlabelledView post →What was the Foreigner doing in Kraven the Hunter, because he was too cool for that movie, imo. The movie isn't terrible, overall, but it's also not very good. The Foreigner was cool, though.
unlabelledView post →#filmsky 📽️📀🔵 The Foreigner (2017) on BluRay and DVD This movie lo-key rocked. I guess it didn't do so well at the US box office, tho. Definitely worth firing this one up.
unlabelledView post →it's a Martin Campbell movie and I LOVE Casino Royale and The Foreigner so I have to watch this
unlabelledView post →Fan service 😭 she cuss bout the lion the entire movie. It’s so bad. We know absolutely nothing about the Foreigner and he’d have been a more interesting plot line
unlabelledView post →The first two Donnie Yen Ip Man movies are very good. I also liked The Foreigner, although that's really only a martial arts movie in that Jackie Chan happens to be in it. But the director is a very good B-movie action guy (plus he directed Goldeneye and Casino Royale).
unlabelledView post →The Foreigner and the Protégé were actually mostly okay. His most recent movie I saw is that Liam Neeson one, Memory, and it might be the most boring Neeson old man action movie to come out.
unlabelledView post →Police Story Lockdown was fucking horrible, haha. That US film he did, The Foreigner, wasn't bad, but I also wouldn't call it a classic. I just don't know if he really has anything left to deliver, though I suppose we'll find out with that Karate Kid film coming up.
unlabelledView post →The Foreigner in Kraven might just be the most underwhelming character in a marvel film yet god dang so I hate the way he exists.
unlabelledView post →OMG memory unlocked with Fucking Åmål! 😍😍😍 I'll never forget how I laughed-cried in the cinema (it was an indie film festival in Buenos Aires) at THAT SCENE when the Foreigner song swells up...! Thanks for the memory dear Caro, I hope you have a nice day today, love you! 🩷
unlabelledView post →So I liked the movie the Foreigner but I hated one part which they could have had…..Liam should have fought Quan his damn self tbh
unlabelledView post →like dude i didn't even KNOW there was a Spidey villain named The Foreigner until this movie. there wasn't another animal-themed villain you could've picked? like, I guess Lizard, Scorpion, and Vulture were tied up in MCU shit, but surely there was SOMETHING
unlabelledView post →The Foreigner. Great film.
unlabelledView post →Watching The Foreigner and I'm conflicted. The performances are good, but the characters are rubbish. Brosnan's is too incompetent for his position, and Chan's is straight up a villain, plus Chan's doesn't even fit in this movie.
unlabelledView post →lol. The way they reimagined him here kinda reminds me of a Jackie Chan character in this movie he did called the Foreigner. I prefer the tencent production where he basically carried himself like he owned every venue he was in. He's just not seeming like a loose cannon here like he does in the book
unlabelledView post →The Foreigner! It was certainly a film that happened
unlabelledView post →Why did they make The Foreigner a metrosexual Starbucks hipster in that film
