266th game of 2026 is "One Deck Dungeon" by @asmadigames.bsky.social with @kbowenwriter.bsky.social who asked for a co-op game. The ice elemental killed my Paladin on the second level of the Dragon's Cave.

Played a game of One Deck Dungeon by @asmadigames.bsky.social! Simple mechanics that had some surprising depth as you got deeper into the dungeon. Allocating your dice gets stressful after a bit. Keen to try the campaign out and see how it goes. Played solo.

Amos writes himself a board game night with the boys (+Nara). Dev wins scrabble. Seth and Nara sit out to play One Deck Dungeon since Seth can't read. Seth is surprisingly good at Clue. Hena absolutely cleans Monopoly. #writesky #writingcommunity #awesomecharacters

A bit of One Deck Dungeon last night. We're playing a "campaign" and so are getting a few starting powers now, and it's a nice little puzzle to work with the rewards we get and work out how to get useful combos going between us #boardgames

Game night tonight! Trying out a 2 player game, One Deck Dungeon. It's a rogue-like game without a computer, kinda ironic but why not! We thought it was really cool that all the heros appeared to be female. Nice change of pace in the gaming space. #ttrpg #boardgames

Reposting for the later crowd. One Deck Dungeon has been a favorite solo board game of mine for ages, the new flame-flavored expansion has great (and adorable?!?) art, and the vault box is going to be one of the raddest things in my game collection. #boardgame #soloboardgame

First game of 2026 was a winning 4-person One Deck Dungeon with partner, ElderSon and the grandbug, who heads back to Oregon tomorrow. A few last hugs to hold me over until spring break.

You ever have a moment when you realize "I'm just not playing this game tonight?" I started a run of One Deck Dungeon (a board game), got an absurdly hard start, started over. Another absurd start, started over. One more time-...Oh come on! At that point I just said nope and packed it up lol.

There was also One Deck Dungeon where all the playable characters happened to be women. The game had no plot, just theming, and the gender of the characters had no relevance beyond aesthetic, but people still got mad anyway. It's like, JFC can you get a life. As even by gamer standards you're sad.

If there’s a specific media they’re excited by, try one of the licensed games. Dragon Age and Fallout both have TTRPGs. Though if you want to be sneaky, try a board game with TTRPG elements like Frosthaven or One Deck Dungeon, then progress from there.

If the issue is multiple decks, there's a great little game literally named "One Deck Dungeon" that uses one deck of cards and some dice for everything. Supports 1 or 2 players cooperative play. It all fits in a little pocket-sized box.

Looking for a dungeon crawling board game that does not have a heavy emphasis on dice rolling or miniatures. We like #OneDeckDungeon for everything except all the dice. I like #7thContinent quite a bit, though it's a big time/space commitment. #boardgames #boardgamerecommendations

Destinies is a pretty solid board game. It’s very story focused and I didn’t think I’d get hooked but surprise. Final Girl, enough said. One Deck Dungeon can be tricky. Still haven’t beat it. Cthulhu Death May Die S3. What a hell of a game. I look forward to playing this with real people.

Finally got One Deck Dungeon to the table tonight. First time since @dashjperiod.bsky.social played a pre-Kickstarter play test copy with me ages and ages ago in prep for a GenCon. It was a good time. We played wrong but managed to beat the dungeon boss. Consider it a learning curve game.

Also, maybe too close to home, but there's Marvel Champions which can be shared over 2 tables for both player loadout but also enemy threats.Pure card game but cooperative boss battler if your friend is more a co-op gamer than competitive. Same thing with One Deck Dungeon,or Kosmos' Adventure series

But yeah, really think I'm going to need to find a new home for One Deck Dungeon, on account of "If I wanna play a dice-spending game, I may as well play Sonic Roll, which has way more decisions. Or One Last Fight if I'd rather tell a story"

I think I've finally decided I need to give away my copy of One Deck Dungeon. It really got me thinking about how important the "decision space" of a board game is, leading to some weird revelations. ODD's decision space is pretty small and thus I got bored of it... But then-
