60 of 188 · most liked firstWonderful presentation. A spooky themed snake game though the goal is to find a path by avoiding obstacles, collecting chests, skulls and color coded keys to open locked doors. 120 levels with ever increasing complexity. Perfect puzzle for deep thinkers. I used a controller for my play through.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →necroworm, formerly known as omnom necropolis, looks like a snake clone at first, but it's a puzzler where you have to pick up all the body parts and such without crossing yourself or any of the already visited tiles. there are keys to make locked blocks disappear, stone slabs to get rid of spikes, teleporters and maybe some other stuff later. chests are optional, you get hints from them to use on any level, showing the full solution. 120 levels, unlocked one by one, 3-skull rating based on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Necroworm is a timed snake-like maze/line puzzle game where your goal is to eat all the body-parts to complete a level. The puzzles are alright, the difficulty is a bit all over the place. Some levels being obvious even in the later levels. You can leave spaces blank on each map, just so long as you have consumed all the edibles. The controls are a big problem, they're very unresponsive and subsequently frustrating. It's so bad with keyboard that if you don't have a controller you really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would be a fun puzzle game if it weren't for the clunky controls and hard to get skulls
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would be fun if it wasn't so buggy and had half the levels. There's virtually no innovation after the first dozen or so levels which makes trudging through 120 levels exhausting. This is not an addictive puzzle, it's just a puzzle.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This creepy worm game is perfect for halloween🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 - You play through 120 levels where you have to collect skulls, eyes, brains, pumpkins or keys. - Most levels are medium difficulty getting 3 skulls is a difficult task - A CONTROLLER IS A MUST. Without it you will at some point experience where you clearly pressed up it will go to the left or right. Or the other glitch where somehow one part of your worm glitches above you if you are going too fast. - Might also wanna mention that…

Was not directly contacted by the developer and/or publisher when offered this game to review. Was not offered compensation for writing this review. There's nothing great about this game. I'm about a 1/3 in and I'm already bored of it. While the puzzles are challenging here and there, there's nothing really new to offer other than doing the samething 120 times with the same mechanics that…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another run-of-the-mill snake-like game. The grind to 100% is tedious and at times the controls will bug out (varies based on the situation). Music is repetitive, the visuals are alright at best. I can't recommend this in comparison to the other snake games I played, this one just falls short of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have such a simple game and you ♥♥♥♥ on the only thing that matters: The controls. A game like this, especially with a time limit throughout every level, needs fluid controls. Here, on the other hand, it's sluggish. This is unacceptable. Apart from that, the game also gets monotonous very quickly due to its repetitive nature. But well, you can also foresee that in advance.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is just bad, sluggish controls, horrible level design (literally just a level with random food around it, or the same level but with different placement), if you got this game on a bundle, don't even waster your time in it, nothing in this game makes sense. the "best time" in every level is stupid, this is a puzzle game, why would solving a puzzle fast is good? you can just replay it and waste more time to get the 3 skulls. the garbage controls are super annoying, i keep going in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't worth paying a cent for, not worth playing even if you get it for free. Controls feel terrible on keyboard, genuinely the worse feeling game I've ever played. Some later levels have graphical issues, you can not solve them without looking at a guide because tiles in the game do not appear, or a rock you think you can't go through you can; even though earlier in the game you can't go through the same rocks. Also some levels are near identical; not only is that bad, but some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a dumpster fire. In a game where you only need to go left, right, up and down, they somehow managed to completely mess up the controls. 1. In the very first level the game shows you the wrong button to control the snake. Apparently you're supposed to use R, H and ESC to move it, even though the real controls are WASD/Arrow Keys. 2. The snake has momentum, in a tile/grid based game... this means you can't even tap the movement key to go a single tile, you need to keep the key pressed and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*DO NOT RECOMMEND* This is bad... too bad I have to write my first game review. 1) PUZZLES Simple game. The puzzles are pretty easy, or maybe I didn't get to play the hard puzzles because I gave up on the game so quickly. 2) INSTRUCTIONS Poor, very poor, almost none. Yes, it's a WASD snake game, eat the skull, eat the brain, simple. However, it's really confusing at first because the mouse cursor is missing. If you don't have a proper tutorial for players, at least you could make a table for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the 1 thing that kills this game for me, 2 many minor problems over the controls. i give it a 3/10. fun for about 4 levels.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A half-decent puzzle game ruined by terrible controls. The levels are grid-based, your movement is grid-based, but your INPUTS are not. You can press the button and not move a full square, which is effectively the same as not moving at all, despite the fact that you definitely told it to move. At least it has trading cards, so you can get SOME of your money back. This is absolutely not worth buying at any price, though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NecroWorm is a puzzle game where you need to 'eat' everything under some strict time limits. I like the theme, graphics and the overall style of the game. However the movement in this game is crap. The game area is shown as square boxes but your worm moves in 1/2 boxes. There also seems to be some kind of lag/stuttering when moving. This ends up causing your worm to not move as you wanted. With the time limits this is just unacceptable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A small puzzle in the style of children's horror. The player, controlling the dead worm, must collect all the items on the level - and the faster he does this, the better his score will be. The game uses the "snake" game mechanic - in which the player cannot eat his body that is in his way. Additionally, there are traps, doors and teleports - which should make collecting items even more difficult on already awkward small maps. Pros: + Music - one melody, but not boring. + Visual style - cute…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle game where you move your worm through the board, need to be quick to get the highest rank, but have extremely imprecise controls where the snake often slithers one field too far or too little - what a wonderful idea. Not sure who greenlighted this with these kind of controls, but no. SKIP.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are horrible. Pressing 'right' doesn't make your worm go right immediately, you have to hold the key down for a moment. This makes it impossible to do a quick right-down-right sequence for example. And all levels are timed, so you will want to move quickly. It also makes it easy to overshoot your target, because once the worm is moving, that delay is gone. And there is no undo... The first few levels showed nothing innovative. Puzzles might get better later on, but I won't find…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOT RECOMMENDED ⛔ The movement control of the worm is absolutely terrible, how can you mess a such archaic gameplay ?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love these kind of puzzle games, but the controls are so unpleasant to use.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating 6,5 Its a oke game puzzels were fun and different some levels were repatitive Minus points Controls: it does not always listen to the input
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The momentum controls just suck. They actively get in the way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/dqD5iyA9ngM Gross out style is rare to find in puzzle games, but the actual puzzle design is a bit too simplistic to hold onto player attention.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The awfull controls make it a torture to play and the level design is terrible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time I open this I lost my hearing Double check your volume before open this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is actually one of the hardest puzzle games i have played. Not because of the difficulty of the puzzles (they were incredibly easy) but because of the movement. It is so badly made. Imagine you want to move 1 tile left, if you press left little not long enough, it won't move, if you press it little too long, it will move 2-3 tiles. I often wonder if the developers actually try the game themselves before publishing it. But it wouldn't be so bad, if the puzzles weren't made so that you often…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good simple and fun puzzle game, where you're a snake (worm?) that crawls through a graveyard eating eyeballs, skulls and brains. Has 120 levels so the lenght is, I would say just right. Is challenging at times but when you figure out how to get all skulls (stars) for a level you feel rewarded. Keyboard controls are a bit wonky.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-Super clunky and unresponsive controls. -Gamebreaking bugs. -Difficulty is all over the place, last 5 levels somehow were the easiest levels in the game. -No clever level design, feels like most were just randomly generated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NecroWorm is the game Snake with a problem solving aspect and spooky vibes. Got a decent halfway through in 1.1 hours before quitting using the keyboard wasd keys. Kids would probably like this game. The game is sound in premise and executed poorly. Controls - The worm over-exaggerates lurching into each square, which makes controlling it a nightmare in a game that expects you to precision steer the thing within a time limit. 80% of the time I'd lose a level because I wanted to go one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh, what a terrible game. Snake is like "Hello World" of games. I don't understand how developers managed to screw up even simple WASD controls. And the puzzles and music? They get repetitive really quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*Sigh* Yet Another Mediocre Puzzle Unity Game This just look like a snake clone flash game, and has terrible controls, it's not extremely pretty to look at either This shouldn't cost money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a fun idea but the movement is unnecessarily janky and makes playing the game frustrating
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nonsensical controls. A tap of a directional key should move you one tile, but instead you have to hold it for a length of time to complete a move, and before completing the move, you're committed to it. This means it's absurdly easy to overstep in one direction and while that would be bad in any game, it is absurd in a puzzle game with exact movement required. I almost never post negative reviews FWIW.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzles themselves are decent enough, but bugs in later level designs, and awful controls really overshadows any enjoy-ability.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NecroWorm is a bad game in almost every aspect. It's a puzzle game using the mechanics of traditional Snake, where you have to collect all the little Halloween decorations in a set amount of time for the best score. It's a fairly simple premise, albeit not very interesting. The presentation is pretty disgusting, but I imagine that's the intention. The problems start with the control scheme. It's slow and clunky, and the worm sometimes fails to commit to a movement direction and can snap to a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely horrible The necroworm controls like a bloody tank. It's not fun and 20 levels into the game you've seen it all and you'll probably get bored before that. It's not an addictive puzzle / logic game since there are better ones available. Pros: ✅ A lot of levels ✅ At least the necro theme is nice Cons: ❌ Controls like a bloody tank ❌ It quickly gets boring and repetitive Personal score: ☆☆☆☆☆☣️ 🤖Final words: Stay away from this rotting carcass.Let the worms have their fill,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ The game consists of 120 episodes + It's easy to earn achievements in the game + The difficulty of their puzzles is fine
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not great. Not great at all. The stiff controls and the stingy timer to get all three skulls really frustrated me. Partially convinced it was supposed to be played on some sort of tablet / phone originally and then haphazardly ported to PC. Spend your five bucks elsewhere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I made a whole Video Series on this game, why did I do that? I have no clue why, Cant undo it though so I guess if you like puzzle games play it. Controls Suck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NecroWorm is an addictive, extremely fun 'snake' clone only better! I don't know why all the negative reviews, I had no problem with the controls, they worked great for me!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just awful. Genuinely atrocious. Controls suck ass (sticky and unresponsive), puzzles are uninteresting, just bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was all fine and dandy puzzle solving until the final 30 levels. Then there are too many levels that are bugged and poorly made. You have to use a guide in order to solve them because you have to figure out where the broken sections of the map are for you to exploit.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea is not that bad. I really wanted to 100% the game, but the horrible controls stopped me. The problem is that it is very hard to precisly turn the snake, which takes all the fun away. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an okay puzzle meet snake idea but its big failure is the terrible controls. A direction arrow needs to be held down for about 1/2 sec to 1sec before the worm moves one square and then it sorta has this momentum thing and just wants to keep going. One press momentarily should move 1 square, do this and the game will be 10x better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Humble bundle item, And glad i got it cheap. The controls are sluggish, even for a worm And for a fun puzzle game i personally can not stand a timer And it sad, because the style is very fun with a cryptkeeper vibe
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I say this having 3 starred all levels - The controls are very heavy that makes it hard to turn, which isnt great when the game expects you to get flawless movement to complete the level. The time limits to complete each level stop this from being a causal gaming experience to being frustrating, having to redo levels to shave .1 of a second of your completion speed. Has the right piece to be a fun small little game, but just misses the mark
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has great visual appeal and a very classic game logic. Unfortunately, the one critical thing in such a game however is lacking: The controls are sluggish, making it hard to play and sometimes outright frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NecroWorm is a console ported 2D pathing puzzle game not too different thematically from "Snake", where you are presented with a puzzle grid and must move some "undead worm" through the level, eating all the goodies and making sure never to cross your own path or you die (hence the "Snake" like component). While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the fixed resolution sprites/raster images used to make the game, which makes little or no…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How they managed to make such bad controls for such a simple (and boring) game is beyond me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I enjoyed the game for a little bit, the controls became a chore when the levels required fast actions. The game feels like your on ice. If you don't finish moving onto a tile and change directions it does 1 of 2 things. Completely cancels that move, or it bugs out and places a unattached piece of your body there. When this happens you don't collect whatever was on the tile and you can no longer move onto the tile. The puzzles aren't too difficult to figure out but I lost too many times…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get why people think this is just another 'Snake' game but it adds some new mechanics which is... cool? I guess? But the game literally does not utilise them in no more than a handful of levels, making them entirely redundant. Some of the puzzles do hurt the brain a little, but in an annoying way since the rest of the game is already so lacklustre, and the sporadic variation in difficulty doesn't help, either get more difficult as the game progresses, or don't be difficult at all. Plus the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle game that requires quick navigation in order to obtain the highest rank. But sadly, it is quite buggy and the bad controls make it quite obvious, aside from the UI, that this is a mobile/switch port and not one of the good ones.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lets see... -Boring, extremely repetitive levels. Of which there are a lot. -Terrible controls that make it extremely easy to block your own path on accident and force a level restart -Bugs that can create phantom worm tiles, meaning you can block yourself off *without making any mistakes.* -The only real difficulty this game has seems to be its time-based scoring system. Basically, if you want all three stars of a level, you must complete it as fast as physically possible. The biggest…
