60 of 175 · most liked firstI picked the game up for a song, and for quite a while it seemed rather enjoyable. Simple, pretty easy, a relatively short but fun experience. Perhaps I was just lucky. Perhaps there's other ridiculous bugs and glitches throughout the game that through sheer dumb luck I avoided. Then I got to the final boss. The big climax for the game. And I got stuck. I couldn't figure out why. At a certain point it became invincible and I could do nothing except reset. And then it happened again.…

The controls (I've tested with both kb+mouse and a joypad) are quite unintuitive no matter how I set them up. Also the voice acting is mostly annoying, but the game looks really good and who wouldn't love the steampunk setting. Still, unfortunately in terms of playability, there are a lot arcade shooters out there which are better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Игру можно назвать наследником Overboard!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game cheaper than dirt and it still wasn't worth it. Absolutely awful. The in-game performance is fine, even on max settings (and it does look fairly nice), but for some reason there's MASSIVE slowdown on the menus - any menu I tried to access was nearly unusable as the game rendered one frame every few seconds. The controls are awful. I haven't tried it with a controller, but with a keyboard, WASD was a horrible choice. The maps are placed diagonally, yet you move on standard XY…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wanted to like it. This is an isometric twin-stick shooter set on water with Victorian/Steampunk inspired artwork. It would be entertaining if not for the glaringly obvious and frequently game breaking bugs. There are better games to be had for $1.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a fairly decent computer - admittedly somewhat old - and this game is so horribly optimized that it barely runs. Avoid if you don't have a newer computer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insane amount of glitches, awful controls, terrible voice acting. 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How to play naval warfare. 1. Grab a machete. 2. Slit your eye balls so you dont have to see this piece of ♥♥♥♥ 3. kill yourself 4. enjoy IGN -10/10 GREAT GAME.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This voyage turned out to be too lackluster and clunky to recommend to anyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics Clicthes and the controlls are not logical. The controlls are unlogical, instead of foward, left/right turn, you get up,down, right, left and have to zig-zac trought a diagonal canal. Fixing those problems could make the game rather good, but no.. they don't care to fix it :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would not recommend this game. It is a decent game, fairly easy, but the graphics glitch like crazy, I can't stand to play it mostly for that. It's a bit buggy, but for less than a dollar, that's okay. What I really, really dislike is that the controls aren't really up and down, it's a slight angle, making you have to adjust every little bit you move, it's a pain. Make the camera actually straight, and I'd have liked this much, much more. Sorry Dev's, just update it and you'll make a lot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ENG: Otherwise, the functional and interesting game, but the game's control ruining the feel of the game. Likes or does not... FIN: Muuten toimiva ja kiinnostava peli, mutta pelin ohjaus pilaa pelin tuntuman. Tykkää tai ei...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks pretty enjoyable in the trailer, and I like what they were trying to go for, but there are some major hang-ups with it, most notably the control scheme. The controls are mostly just infuriating, as you might think they would've elected to go for something closer to Asteroid-type controls, but instead they've gone for something closer to Zelda games. Zelda-type controls probably would've worked OK, except that when you go from left to right, up to down, or vice-versa, instead of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend NW, it's a sub-par SHMUP, based around a victorian-styled navy. Don't expect a story, characters, graphics options of any kind other than resolution and AA, also have to disable any second monitors to get it to display. Uninteresting style, could've gone further with it, plus graphical issues like screen lag and flickering textures even when on a non-cluttered screen. There are better games of this type out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashed. 10/10 (Use Banana for scale)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a interesting game. Not one for hardcore gamers that want a challenge. It was a very short game maybe an hour to beat it all. The graphic are good, but that seems to all this game has going for itself. The sounds in game sound good as you would expect. The cut-scenes are generic and kind of lame because you don't feel the passion that is being portrayed by the characters. The gameplay can be frustrating at times but its still a simple game with simple gameplay. You can use a Xbox 360…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a fun arcade shooter if you like games you play with a gamepad. Steer with the left stick, shoot with the right, special attacks with some other buttons. The graphics are very nice to look at, and the sound is fine. It has some bugs, but nothing that frustrated me too much. I suggest you get it on sale, but I enjoyed the short campaign.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the gameplay very much but I have to give it a negative review due to the fact the textures around the map glitch out like crazy for me. Damn shame really.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't work very well! I get blinking graphics (with my NVidia card). I haven't been able to resolve it... and this is really a game breaker!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like a decent game, but they will not even fix the terrain texture glitches!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →well worth the 99 cents
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absoultely no recommendation. Mainly due to the horrible NVidia flickering bug and the overall lack of support. I would want to like this game but the devs dont care about fixing their sh*t. It's amazing how often this ends up on sale lately, they should just update the store page informing that this game wont work properly with Nvidia cards. Seriously STEAM you've gotten sort of horrible when it comes to communicating both with your customers and the Devs that are allowed to release these…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic diesel punk art style; meh voice acting; controls are terrible; predictable storyline.

unlabelledView post →this game has horrible mouse control and voice acting, alot of the options menu wont even work, the progression system makes no sence, the first boss battle is badly made and the rest of the boss battles are just puzzles with a bit of shooting that still makes no sence outside of blind shooting, at times you cant use some support boats because of the reason of no, the one part of the game that i bought it for that i saw in the show case video was short and poorly made, the story was crap, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well graphics are ok but i dont feel the controlls, has potential, need some more work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →says it has Multi-player it also says it has Local Co-op. So it made me think it ment onlne when it says Multi-player and it does not HAVE ONLINE.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a normal twin stick shooters. does nothing particularly good or bad. The design of the ships and stuff is interesting and deserved way more attention during the game. the story is the usual, but fails to provide even a remotely climactic ending. not worth the 3 hours it takes to beat it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My xbox 360 controller wouldn't work in game. And unfortunately, the keyboard controls and mechanics were super clunky. Seemed like it could have been a cool little indie game, but I couldn't get the gist of the controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this on accident when Steam Refunds weren't a thing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really like it but i cant work out how to play multiplayer yet, aparantly there is a way but maby i just havnt found it yet. would recommend it if you can work out the multiplayer situation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mediocre action oriented game. Nothing to see here, move along. [Rating: 56/100]
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as bad as many say. Priced right. Cant get an Xbox 1 controller to work with it, but works great with a 360 controller. Mouse and Keyboard are painful to use. What are you expecting for a couple of bucks?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →finished in 4 hours on medium difficulty. not too bad a game but way from good enough to recommend anyone to spend any amount of money and time on. usually i go easy on games like this. they are as old as they are cheap. they don't pretend to be brilliant. they just offer you the opportunity to kill your time while exploring other genres for little money. but this one just doesn't cut it. it's short, owners of nvidia gpus get flickering textures on terrain and the controls are clumsy and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game looks okay, it's really short, has clunky controls and on top of that one of the worst voice acting that I've heard. One of the rare cases where I still slugged through it and finished it despite its flaws. You might consider buying it if it's borderline free and you like ships and water and ♥♥♥♥. Won't recommend it though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the graphics But i need to buy a xbox controler because plastation 3 controler don't works -.-
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have seen a lot of negative reviews on this one, but honestly, I think the reviews are old, and really do not do this game justice. The controller interface is great. If you don't care for the keyboard controls, I strongly recommend that you use the controller. As far as the glitches and slow menus reported: How about buying a sdecent graphics card? lol All in all, this a great game. Simple arcade style feel with a steampunk aesthetic. The voice actors do surprisingly well, and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor controls and combat lacks weight
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks fancy and i haven't tried it all that much but what i do can tell its a twin stick shooter, and what you see is waht you get. I can recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun top down arcade style shooter, in a boat. Remanicent of a game known as Overboard on the PSX. What more could you ask for? One thing you could ask for is a longer game. As enjoyable as Naval Warfare is, I found myself a little saddened at the end that the game ended there. Right at the moment I was becoming more involved in the game and edging to do more boat sinking mayham, it ends. Although you do unlock a new difficulty, encouraging you to play again. However the War that was brewing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 - controller works for everything in game, but actual single player game-play - visual bugs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The voice acting alone is worth the price of this low budget naval shooter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not that bad. Got it on a discount/coupon. Decent enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naval Warfare is a very generic name for a perfectly tolerable twin-stick shooter with some neat setting elements dragged down by bland and buggy graphics, decent gameplay once you figure out how to turn properly, and dubious "comic-style" interludes in between stages featuring generally inappropriate facial expressions. It's about three hours long. I had more fun than not, so I'm gonna give it a thumbs-up, but it's really unremarkable and skippable. (Note: I've heard there's some bad bugs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played 5 minutes... I regret every second 0/10 - don't buy, actually don't even accept this if it's free
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well i got it for 65 cents and... it not even worth that here are some Pros and cons Pros None Cons -COMPLETELY AWFUL CONTROLS -Mouse acceleration is un bearable and makes aiming impossible and I cant seem to fix that in the options -Very repetitive -Boring 0/10 DO NOT BUY
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is good but not avaible achievement & trading card
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't play // could not create window //
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugged. I can't switch my ship from a Cruiser to a Gunship in the Workshop in Episode 2 and because I can't switch, I can't leave the workshop, so the game can't continue. I found a workaround for the bug. In the PC version, you can't use the mouse to switch, you have to use the WASD to change them. That will prevent the bug. PROS 1. Cheap Great game. Bought for 2 USD, could have bought it at 1 USD. 2. Simple Controls Great mechanics. Real Time Strategy game using keyboard & mouse to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naval Warface (Fargus)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Xbox One controller will work in menus, but offers ZERO functionality in game no matter what you do. Don't support lazy devs. And everyone that owns this needs to flag it to report it having broken controller support so the tag is removed, the way I removed this game from my account.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont like gameplay but this game isnt bad ; if you like this type of games you can play this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naval Warfare is a steampunk/bioshock influenced 3D rendered 2D top down twin stick shooter with vague naval theme (and not, as many would have thought, some kind of awesome WW1/WW2 military sim). Control some kind of alternative reality Art Deco superboat and sail around a bunch of canals shooting enemy boats with your very fast cannon thing. This is a weird one because the graphics are pretty good, it looks sharp in 4K. But the controls are a pigsty. Instead of a kind of reasonable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well lasted for three hours (at hard) so the twenty cents I paid were OK i guess. Storyline ain't worth ♥♥♥♥, voice acting isn't that good either. Graphics are OK but glitched a few times. Controls are the worst IMO. Overall OK game if you want to kill a couple of hours and then uninstall and forget about it, else don't bother.
