60 of 63 · most liked firstLast Heroes is a generic RPGmaker JRPG. That previous sentence essentially summarizes everything you will expect to experience from this game. The combat, the map, the controls, the menus and even the story seem like your standard fare that anyone with moderate competence in RPGmaker could put together. The options are limited to nonexistent and the depth or personalization or "role playing" is limited as well. Normally I abstain from incorporating price into a review for a game, however I feel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not recommended - no quests - no achievements - no secrets - all dungeons are the same (with 2 enemy types) - linear gameplay, its not rpg, its a .. ~visual novel - battles: mass heal + mass attack - nothing interesting in the story + no grinding + short + cards + cheap
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very generic RPG-maker game in pretty much all regards. The story is cliche and also very linear. There are no random battles - you see all the enemies on the map and once you've killed them, they don't respawn. UNTIL the very last dungeon of the game where difficult enemies do respawn and give you lots of exp and gold so you can level-up before the last boss, if you so desire. Exploring is rewarded as there are chests everywhere and you definitely want to kill every monster you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the game for 3 hours and at this point I'm not sure I have much positive to say about it. Standard RPG story, world threatened by crazy person you have to stop it by collecting item with powers. Dialogue isn't the best there are spelling and grammar errors, that are pretty obvious. At times conversations just comes off as clunky and to forced for a game that trys to act as serious as this one does. Character wise i find myself not connecting to much with any of them. There is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=http://www.the-backlog.net/last-heroes-review/]My full review can be found here. Last Heroes is your typical, run-of-the-mill RPGMaker game. The king's brother is angry he wasn't crowned king and now wants to take control of four powerful relics so that he can rule the world. Your "unlikely" group of peope - the king, a magician, a thief, and a knight - will journey through dungeons trying to retrieve said relics before the angry brother can. The title is fairly short (3-5 hours), and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good simple RPG game. Too simple I might add. Music is ok same with the graphics since its from RPGMaker so kinda generic. Cards has a nice art design of the characters from the game itself. Its worth at the sale launch price atm. Also good to have at your Steam Library if you are collecting all the games that are made from RPGMaker.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An rpg in the classic style, Last Heroes finds three brothers at odds over who should really have been named king after the passing of their father. One brother is the game's hero (Viktor) and king of the land, another (Viper) has nefarious plans to unseat the hero by finding 4 relics that will give him the power he needs, and the third is reluctantly in the middle of the conflict. There are other characters rounding out Viktor's group as they set out to find the relics first so the land will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an RPG like many others, but the classes have different roles, the magician has the same set of skills, but the knight is usually your tank in many RPGs, but in this game the knight is your effect influencer, inflicting many different types of effects, and your thief is usually your item taker and gold gainer, but in this game the thief serves it's purpose just like the synergist and saboteur from final fantasy's job was, to buff your party and debuff the enemy, and your king, he has the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bog-standard RPGMaker game made with stock assets. Generic, repetitive, and poorly proofread. Not bad enough to actually make me angry, just rather dull and not worth the time I spent playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the price I would recommend the game. It is standard RPG maker graphics and battles, with the advantage that you can see the enemies before you encounter. The game is not hard, the story is meh, but the repetitiveness of the game is boring. You clear an area and go back to the castle. Someone tells you the next thing to do, then you go do it and go back to the castle. The story is pretty much not anything and the one character with some mystery is just never explored. There are no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes is probably the most purely generic RPGMaker RPG I've ever played. The only part of it that stands out at all to me is the opening bit, where you play each of the four heroes who will end up making up your party, plus the one guest character you'll use sometimes, individually for a while before they join up into a party of four. Not because it was particularly good, but because it was the only thing that wasn't straightforward and boringly generic. Anyway, yeah. Total playtime's a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ it has a good price + it is indie & casual + it has adventure + it is a cute RPG + it has a story + it is classic + it has trading cards - no quests - no achievements - no secrets - battles: mass heal + mass attack - nothing interesting in the story 6.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the start of the game. But very soon, it becomes very dull. The story seems to decline, the enemies become less threatening (right the first enemies can poison you; the last ones do not change your status anymore). You can put enemies to sleep etc., but why would you if you can use your attack to straight away kill them? The fights are way too simple (used the same attack combo throughout the game except for bosses). You can grind at the very end but what for? You can win just fine…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really hoping to give this game a good review, but alas, I can't. The map(s) are really short, and you come back to them at least twice each. Yes, twice EACH. The castle, OH THE CASTLE. You come back to it a hundred thousand times. You NEED to come back to it after every each mission as the main heroes. Then there's the dialogues. Pretty standard RPG dialogues go to along with the "fetch the relics to save the world" story. Not impressed at all, specially coming from Warfare and Aldorlea.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RPG Maker strikes again! Last Heroes is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is... interesting. The beginning of the game seems to be a... collection of intros. You play as each separate individual as you make your way through a short adventure until you get to the king's castle. Gameplay is simple, and the plot seems good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started playing it i enjoy it so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For coming out less then a week ago, this game is REALLY great!!! I'm totally addicted and i'm playing every chance i get. 10/10 IGN Game of the Year No i lied. i have one problem. Its difficult to grind due to lack of enemies. kill them once and thats it. ;~;
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent story, but it's just another generic RPG-maker game. A little pricey and there's nothing special about it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just another RPG game that you should probably avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love being the last hero
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun game , its nothing too special but for the price i paid in a bundle on sale ( 22 cents ) its absolutely worth it , i really enjoyed it, the only part that was annyoing were the poison enemies because you had to get so many items to get rid of the poison , the game is a solid 6/10 and for the price i paid , worth every single cent, i would say its worth the full price of 2,39€ as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worse game ever, just repeating each area with differant background. Boss fights are almost impossible and ive olny had 2.No way to grind, once killed enemys do not respawn.Good , only cost me .79 cents.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →low graph for this game, but it's ok ..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is my opinion that a good game could be made with stock RPG Maker Stock Assets. This game brings its own assets to the table as well, but the majority comes from the people who made RPG Maker. I would have forgiven that: the graphics don't really matter to me so long as the core gameplay--and the story, for me personally--are interesting. The grammar errors in most of the dialogue, unpolished battle system with no challenge, and disregard for sidequests or exploration in general holds this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blimey! That was short! Still, if you're in the mood for a bit of classic RPG action without all that bothersome grinding, convoluted plot twists and dedicating 40+ hours of your life to it, then maybe this one's for you?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes appears to have a decent story upon first glance albeit a bit overdone. However upon playing, encounters had a chance to TPK in any given battle, and once an area started to become manageable you'd be headed for a new area to start the whole process over again. Each enemy area is made up of one or two of the same enemies, a large map filled with a couple chests and then a boss fight. You are constantly going back and forth between dungeon and the castle for meetings and a few…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Typical use of the rpgmaker but it is a short and not bad game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Volter had 3 sons, Valker, Viper and Viktor..." I lost after reading this. Too bad main menu music persist in next three sequels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes on Steam is a videogame featuring dedication a powerful fast-growing glimpse of fun Rpg maker gameplay! The story is thickened into new findings, and results like a reprogrammed targeted line that delivers a spine of good action, and immunotherapy search carriers! The music is a dragline of average tunes that drives you in a wall of making trails of sights! Good battle system, the bosses are challenging so u have to think very clever inorder to defeat them fully! I give this game a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, but a little too short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually really enjoyed this game. Some spots tend to become tedious, where you can recognize the patterns of the areas in the game, but overall the experience was wonderful. Grinding wasn't a struggle, buying items was relatively easy and was quick and fun, and this game rewarded strategy more so than trying to get overpowered before you moved on. I got a good 4-6 hours out of this game, and plan to play the rest of the series as soon as possible. Also very happy the second one looks like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally the worst RPG I have ever encountered. Forced myself to get further in this abysmal storyline just to see if it got better. Bad idea. Really isn't well maintained, spelling and grammar is no where near where it needs to be for a successful game to be taken seriously. 2/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes is a deliberately old-fashioned fantasy RPG that feels like a tribute to the straightforward 16-bit adventures of earlier console generations. Developed by Warfare Studios and published by Aldorlea Games, it favors familiar storytelling, uncomplicated exploration, and traditional role-playing conventions rather than trying to reinvent the genre. Its modest presentation and accessible structure make it best suited to players who enjoy smaller RPGs where progressing through a fantasy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🎮 Last Heroes Review ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) The Good: 💰 Fair price when on sale, around €1. Worth it at that cost. 🎮 Playable RPG mechanics that pass time. The Bad: 🤨 Strange Character Choices. One party member is a con artist who ended up jailed for breaking in. I really don't like that they let him come along. Con artists are never to be trusted. 🙅♂️ 🗡️ Inconsistent Class Design. Vanessa is a knight who uses anything but swords in battle. If you're going to give a character an axe, make it a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like these little RPGMaker-ish games, you could pick it up on sale for a dollar. Nothing special though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple WASD adventure game. Very basic combat and ok story. Not something I'd actively look at playing myself but that's just personal preference. 6.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I rather like Warfare Studios's RPG offerings Shining Plume 1 and 2 and Valiant: Resurrection; though they are RPGMaker games riddled with balance issues, they have deep and memorable stories and distinct character borne of obvious enthusiasm on the part of the developer. Perplexingly, Last Heroes is the reverse of that. Almost everything about the game is not just generic, but so perfunctory that it feels like the developer hated RPGs and was pressured into making one. It's not just that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a super repetitive game loop, some poor translation issues, and a simplistic style. I hope the 2nd, 3rd and 4th parts of this series gets better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't say anything positiv about this game (sorry...no!). This is one of the reasons why RPGMaker games are seen as easy cash milking. Even if this game is over 8 years old...back than there were better ones made. It is very generic: Again you must save the world. With your party (the usual mage, healer, thief, figther) you travel from basic camp (your castle) to dungeon a than back to camp and up to the next dungeon. In each dungeon you encounter just a pair of different enemies...once you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes is a short, linear JRPG. The story is nothing fancy, nor is the gameplay. Still it is entertaining and has managed to keep my attention. Perhaps this is because of its simplicity. It reminds me of some of the classics I played as a kid. It is well-balanced (in my opinion), and other than some spelling/grammatical errors, I have not encountered any noticeable bugs. I'll definitely check out the other entries in the series.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i can't say something special about this game, but it's not bad overall
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game with a linear story where a player can progress without having too much trouble losing himself to where to go. An RPG for casual gamers, with a slightly cliche storyline with some characters to play. Unfortunately there is no quest journal system, so the player has to be mindful of the dialogue and remember where to go to progress in the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love these simple RPGs as a break from the heavy duty ones
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Topdown - RPGMaker & Party RPG Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Big bad going to collect 4 artifacts of doom. World in peril. Bland. Recycled stock assets. Dead end oriented map design. Low effort. Padded with filler. This game is about as generic and cookie-cutter as can be. The story is derivative of any RPG's of old but without any of the lore and flair. The strongpoint of getting to know and assembling a team of heroes is instead skipped for a series…
