60 of 159 · most liked firstI bought this game out of an obsession with old American cars and hot rodding. In the screenshots it looked as if there were some convincing recreations of classics like the '59 Fairlane, '61 Thunderbird and first generation Corvette. The last time I can recall a notable racing game focusing on this subject was EA's shortlived MMO "Motor City Online" back in 2001 which only survived a couple of years before the servers were shut down. So what do you get for your money with this game? Well,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorama is hands-down one of the literal worst racing games that I have ever played. And it's all because of the physics engine it uses. Every little input, the game percieves as 100x stronger, giving out the feeling that the road is at all times made of damn solid ice. Please keep in mind that you are given 2 car choices at the beginning and I took the one with less speed and MORE HANDLING. Your car will always, somehow, end up spinning on the road. Oh, and when you try to turn the wheel and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorama is, quite frankly, one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. I saw the bad reviews beforehand, but the theme seemed appealing and I figured that as a budget purchase it couldn't be that bad. Oh how wrong I was. The game fails in its execution of basic concepts from step one, step two, and and all other steps therein. For starters, options are as barebones as barebones gets. Surprisingly they did manage to implement separate music and sound effects sliders, which…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the car models look nice, Motorama is a broken game. I would suggest not purchasing it unless you are specifically looking for a buggy and broken gaming experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk_HxBxUKMQ
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not bad for a Unity game at it's current price point. I'll definitely get my money's worth out of Motorama. The Good: The cars are interesting. There is a lot of customization for each and every car. The game definitely pushes all my nostalgic Street Rod buttons. Can't wait to build up a garage of custom classics! You definitely need brakes to take corners, so it's not 100% arcade racer. The Bad: Music is loud and repetative (volume seems to reset after races). Controls are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Main reason for writing a review in this case? That game is better than "Mostly Negative" and I would have missed 5 hours of fun if I´d given a damn about those negative reviews. I bought the game for about 5 € and ended the game in 5 hours: 1€/h is ok. There haven´t been any major bugs. Driving is ok (getting better with the upgrades that you aquire in the game). Gfx are ok. If you know what you are doing the game is easy and since there are still levels that you have to repeat with better…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDYDrxZATMk&list=UU7_-PLIhjsEBwIQXqKxmNpA Motorama is 'classic racing' game in a 1950's theme with the same single piece of music playing throughout; over and over again. There has been some graphical bugs in the form of cars or terrain flickering, or drivers floating in the air, and even unsee-able maps that render the game unplayable at times. You earn rewards as you play the game, and there are a decent amount of car selections and upgrade performance…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is promising but the execution is so shoddy and lackadaisical that it's not worth investing any of your time when there's so much better racing games on steam and elsewhere. The driving feels like garbage and in the end even if you can overlook all the issues the game has it just suffers from the ultimate sin that any videogame can commit... it's plain boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can I recommend this game for full price? Hell no! Can I recommend this game in 90% sale? No way! Can I recommend to take this game if they were giving it for free? Still no. Only logical reason for buying this is if you wanna teach your children to not play video games: - Buy this, - tell your children to play it, - tell them that all video games looks simillar, - ... - They will never touch video game again. I started with summary because even reading full reviev for this game is a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorama, at the state in early 2018, is still somewhat troubled and glitched arcade racing game about American cars of the '50s and '60s, which is not worthy of the full price... but Ok with the discount of 75% or better. Even if you're in deep love with the cars of the named time period, It's certainly not good for your 20$... but might be a decent buy for around 5$ and a certainly good pick for a price below 2$ (the winter Steam sale 2017-2018 level). It is also might be a worthwhile choice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just played some Motorama. It wasn't too bad on the first track, the AI is a little weird but when it moved onto the Beach track things went to ♥♥♥♥. You're in a race with 3 other cars and there's traffic on this coastal road. The other cars in the race just drive right through the traffic, literally right through them. As well as being quite stupid, this also makes it much harder for you to dodge traffic since this makes it harder to see oncoming cars and you don't pass through them like the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This might be one of the worst games I have ever played. The cars handle like they were from Crusin USA or some other early 2000s game. The physics are almost non-exsitant and there are absolutely no damage models. The soundtrack gets on your nerves after a few minutes. Also it never feels like you are traveling very fast. 150 feels like 50. Oncomming traffic appears to be moving at a SNAILS pace when you blow by them. If I were in one of those cars, maybe I could get to work in 10 hours…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Game looks good. Cons: - The driving is awful - The AI are always faster than you, even if you boost. It's damn near impossible to catch up. - If you try hitting ramming an AI to pass them, it spins you out of control while they just drive on. - The boost system is terrible. It doesn't really do anything. - The drifting is awful - This game is $20 - Apparently AI can drive right through traffic (haven't witnessed it myself because I haven't been able to bring myself to play past the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Driving around in classic American cars and areas from the 50's, sounds pretty neat, right ? Motorama tries to bring back those days and succeeds quite well in doing so, if you look at it from a distance. Graphically, the game looks quite nice, even though there are better looking racing games out there. I did encounter some shadow glitches, but it could be my machine. Also, in game modes with 'traffic', the A.I. cars seem to be able to drive through the traffic cars... The areas are pretty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lazy, lazy developers. They could change few lines of code and rename 2 variables to fix critical bugs. Game is playable in current state. But you can't drive Limited edition car and you can't change rims. I can. Because i fixed the bugs myself, but you can't. I bought this for 35 cents only. So, i'm happy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually stick to writing only positive reviews but when I saw the price of this game I had to do this. I like racing games, and I like old cars. Looking at the screenshots this game looked appealing to me and I immediately wanted to revive the nostalgic experience I had with games like Street Rod back in the day. Street race for money and then upgrade and customize your car, sounds great. Luckily this game was in bundle so I at least don't feel ripped off but I'm writing this for people who…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is like an unpolished gem ( racing game with old cars kinda remind me of nfs Porsche 2000 or corvette ps2 ) and should still be in early access ( if the lazy devs stopped playing too much cs go and start working on this game)but what bother me the most is that when i compare thee game to the steam store page of the same game i see lies ( false advertisement ) why ?!! well i will explain in details in this review. - first of all the plot , there is no actual plot you're just a man…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great idea racing old cars, however the engine isn't up for the task. This is a first impression review. 50's and 60's If you played games like Mafia, you probably enjoyed riding the oldtimers. At least I surely did! This game is racing cars from those eras, but it just doesn't feel very lifelike... The game follows the nowadays standard of having to upgrade your car before you can offer any good competition. In the beginning it's like driving a brick that doesn't want to steer. The game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like writing reviews about how bad a game is. I usually try to find the positive in any game I play. This game has the potential to be a good, decent budget racing game but with the current problems it has at the moment keep it from being that. First off its a simulation game that thinks its a arcade racer at times. I played this with a PC controller that’s shaped like a Xbox controller and a wired Xbox One controller. And with both controllers the steering is a little too sensitive at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terible. Its archade as archade gets. It is repetative the music is the exact same track the entire time. I have no idea why this game has mostly positive reviews unless the maker of the game wrote every review him self. Do your self a favor and save your money this game is not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initial look is that this is a good fun game. Very simple graphics and simple game play put together to give a fun game. There is similarities to the very old Street Rod game and this is actually the reason why I purchased the game in the first place. After playing for a few hours you get tired of the glitching graphical bugs, the game possibility of a game breaking bug that gives you a negative 214,000,000 points for a progression acheivement. And of course putting all that behind to realise…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGNtTk7m5BA&list=PLdC3pP79J-A9vVBkItqiJkURqd3aUW2Lv The music is awful. You can literally hear where the music loops. And there are only a few tracks. Worse is the BGM is tied to the level you're racing on, so the first few courses are tiring. Best bet is to just turn the Music slider to off and leave the effects on. It's also buggy. There are two different parts in my LP where I fall through the world and another where my car is just going through…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it just because I had lot of fun playing Street Rod and Streed Rod 2. Sadly it has full controller support but no keyboard support at all. Right now I'm on my way to the shop to get a controller.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →By far the single worst racing game I have ever played. The physics are so bad it's laughable. The controls are inconsistent and offten the car will just randomly dive to one side or the other, often right as you are approaching traffic. AI cars go right through the traffic like it's not even there so if you are drafting you suddenly find yourself face to face with an oncoming car that the AI driver just passed through. Prizes are not in line with costs of upgrades and opponent cars are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Music is loud and motorsound is too silent - and no possiblity to change that!!! The game has many bugs... I bought it because I liked to play Street Rod long time ago - and I think the people who programmed this game also liked Street Rod - so the game is in many things similar but they coudn't make this atmosphere of the old game...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did right a review of this game a couple of months ago on the week of release. But you know I think I I might of been too harsh. So here is my new review of the game, if you can even call it that. If you asked me to sum up Motorama in a few short words it would be. S h i t heap of broken physics and gameplay. Well Motorama seemed like a very good game on paper but now that they have made it this game should have been thrown in the bin and set fire too as soon as it was thought up. The games…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I bought this game, I did it understanding that Im not going to find a Need for Speed, whatsoever, but thinking that Im going to find a fun racing game, based on the 50s, with those massive and potent cars, and their rock music. I have to say that I´m quite enjoying the experience. For a Unity game, the car models are very well resolved, and if the sensation of speed is not crazy, Im sure that those real heavy ass cars, didn´t run faster than this... I´ve had hard times in the beginning…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Put on your engineers boots, gel your hair and ride your hot rod to rockability - to show everyone who's King of the Road! Liked: + Availability of achievements + Arcade physics + Works great on gamepad + Large selection of cars + Possibility to tune the car + Cosmetic items for cars Did not like: - Over price - Opponents are able to drive through car traffic - One rockability tune on repeat - Graphic bugs and gameplay bugs - The mechanics of obtaining a certain number of medals to progress…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorama is probably a game that should have been launched in Early Access. The devs, who are pretty active in their forums, do promise future updates for the game. It's obviously not a full release upon playing it right now though and many bugs are encountered. Now at first I was a little upset, but when I went to the forums I noticed that there are planned updates and the Devs are pretty much responding to almost every post. The only problem I see is that people are sucked into buying it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly don’t think Motorama deserves such a low rating. Sure, it has some occasional bugs, but nothing game-breaking. The game has a chill vibe, and even when it gets a bit repetitive, it doesn’t feel boring. It’s on the shorter side, but that also makes it ideal if you want to 100% the achievements without too much grind. Overall, a nice little game to relax with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a sucky slow paced piece of unfinished mobile port junk. It feels like this was a free Android phone game but then they ported it, and not very well. No content No real objective No fun at all. Waste Of Money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →34%? Seriously? Let's review the most 6itchery in reviews: "Unity sucks" - it doesn't. If this game was made with Unreal, it would look... almost same. What a surprise. "Graphics suck" - it wasn't a AAA game and you knew it. they did decent job on some tracks. It's lower than average in terms of design, but 6itch, please. "Screens are fake" - they are not. Yeah, they did some blur afterwards taht is not in the game, but cmon. You can even notice blurry textures there. "Physics are awful" -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is pretty terrible Career consists of trying to win races in a car which is too-slow against AI which cheats (driving THROUGH stuff) Traffic "appears out of nowhere" (spawning in plain sight STATIONARY!) Scenery pops-up all-over-the-place (been a while since I noticed that nit a game) The music loop even has an obvious glitchpoint!! I'd skip this if I were you...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The time I've played this game as of this review is only a half hour. Still, in that half hour I've seen more than enough to make a short review of this game. This doesn't feel like a complete game but for a couple dollars it's worth it. It's noticeably lacking anisotropic filtering; a graphical setting that vastly increases the look of long distance textures without causing a large hit on performance. This is a huge issue for a racing game in particular because of how far ahead you'll be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll explain briefly what I think about Motorama: Motorama is an honest and enjoyable game, completely fun and good looking. Damn! it's not NFS or so! but for sure is very playable and original racing game with awesome details for the pricing, in my opinion. Is very funny to see how competitors (race events) fight pushing each other out of the path or how they make mistakes. Garage seems deep to explore and complete, great to me, and most important is that car improvements have an important…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is alot of fun despite it's few bugs it looks good on the Unity engine The gameplay is alot of fun and it is keyboard/controller style gaming, drifting is fun and tracks rather large so plenty of powersliding room, lots of upgrades can be done for performance and there are visual upgrades to which are little limited. Its good break from later cars with the game set in the 1950's sort brings back memorys of game i used to play in school Street rod and the game makes the 50's era…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Driving & Racing Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Unity Engine. Steering issues compensated by oversized roads. Odd drifting mechanic triggers. Noticeable sound looping. They tried to to integrate a drifting mechanic for the car but you cannot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a big fan of oldtimers, it is a good idea to race with em! Great tracks, cool cars with performance/visual upgrades, a nice rock music from the 60's, however, that song is the only one. The game is short, but kick@ss. I had the feeling!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the first association i get from motorama is to the old street rods. same age, same look-and-feel, same cars... visuals and music are nothing to write home about but are appropriate enough. driving model is arcade and cars are mostly unmanageable when spinning out but that actually fits with the 50s racing theme. now for the bad parts: - ai cars have no clipping, just going through the traffic cars that collide readily enough with you - driving ai sucks, it does spin out randomly that helps…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could be alot better. Better handling, better options menu. graphocs aren't too bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorama has a good idea for a racing game, but it's rather unpolished. This game feels to me like an early access candidate. The game uses the Unity engine, so at the start you're presented with a launcher, that let's you pick a couple of presets and redefine your controls. But there is a twist - the game actually let's you rebind your gamepad controls to your keyboard, so instead of using a standard and well established control names (brake, accelerate, handbrake), your stuck rebinding…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a terrible game that you shouldn't be bothered getting it. It seems the content of this game got cut out for some reason, if you take a look at the third screenshot from the store, you can see 10 opponents, but there's only 5 in the actual game. Cons: -The game does not tell you about the controls, you have to figure out by yourself. -'View back' (v key) does not work properly. -AI can go through vehicles. -AI cheat on their speed on long straight lines. -Achievements unlock after…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't even worthy of a lengthy review, but a simple "don't waste your money". A near $30 game (yes, 30 bucks, because I'm Australian and our dollar is horrible) that's not even worth the $2 or something that I paid for it on a third party site.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you see all the bad reviews the game has ? believe them because the game is really really awful.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the bad reviews overall score, it's a game you can finish, a game you can 100% complete and most importantly a game you can enjoy without any frustrating issues or any bad experiences you would expect from other games with this kind of review score. Don't expect the AAA level of quality in terms of content (career length), physics or graphics. I am strongly recommending to wait for a sale as the full price is too high though. I was able to finish the game and get all the achievements…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly don't know what people hate about this game. I feel like it has some major potential. While the game doesn't feel finished, it does feel like a decent racing game. I get that there are no licensed cars, but it doesn't really matter if you aren't a car fanatic. My only problem is the physics. They aren't realistic at all. I spin out at random times, even when I shouldn't. Overall, it is an okay racing game. (B-)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had great promise, terrible execution. Clearly, the game was never finished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Looks good Cons: - Awful handling - No custom key mapping - All user inputs are represented as Xbox 360 controller buttons; good look finding out which keys correspond to RB, LB and X - Unhelpful tutorial - Absurd collision detection, and when you crash drive close enough to an object for the game to detect it as a crash, your car usually comes to a full stop and you might as well restart the race - The only way to get money for upgrades is by placing first, which is difficult as you…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're buying this expecting it to be Need for Speed with 50s era cars, you're going to be disappointed. But if you take it for what it is, an indie game attempting to evoke 50s movies, there's a decent amount of fun to be had. The visuals are nice, if outdated, and it runs well on my low-end PC (Athlon 64 X2 5400+, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD5450, Windows 7 64bit). And the handling of the cars is a nice balance between arcade and sim; you can't just go full throttle and drift around the curves, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I understand the criticism for this game, some of the critics make rather good points like the idiotic AI, the looping music and few bugs while racing. But all in all I found the game enjoyable, I like the mechanics of the achievements to unlock new levels and the car customization. The physics during the race are not brilliant but decent and I found myself struggling to finish some of the races. If the developers keep fixing bugs and implementing some of the required improvements claimed by…
