60 of 134 · most liked firstWell...I'm not sure what to do with my man card now, because I sure as hell don't need it after this. This is a surprisingly in-depth Tactical RPG. If you're the kind of person that likes to make insane combat builds, or min max, this is a game for you. You start with picking one of 12 character classes, and this is actually really important. You're going to want to build your team around your class. However, no matter what class you pick, you ARE a summoner first. Most of your damage is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely true to its namesake, Moekuri is perhaps even more tactical than it is adorable. It's plenty adorable, there's just a hella large variety of characters and strategies to implement in battle. The protagonist has a choice of ten classes, from the typical Warrior-Ranger-Mage trio to all sorts of game mechanic specialists, everyone you meet in Story Mode can be unlocked some of whom have their own unique classes, and there's 150+ creatures to capture and summon as little combat soldiers.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On the surface, this game looks like anime Pokemon. When you actually play it... it still looks like anime Pokemon, but it keeps getting bigger. One of the reasons Pokemon became so popular is because it was actually deeper than it looked - while even very casual players could simply blitz through the games without difficulty, those who wanted to strategize found ways of minmaxing their teams to perfection. This game takes that concept and takes it to eleven - well, to fifty, actually. But you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start by getting my biases in the open: I am not into Moe, but I've been an SRPG player for about 20 years. I picked the game up since the SRPG elements looked solid, and I decided to give it a chance based on that. And I'm glad I did. (Although I wholly admit I joke to my friends about "Why am I playing this?") It's hard not to make a Pokemon comparison, since players get access to 151 (not even joking) different summons, and the main protagonist can recruit wild creatures, but not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fine but dont expect more than what you're paying for here. If steam had a "neutral" or "wait for high % sale" review option this would get it. UI is clunky as all hell and not all the abilities are well explained. Gameplay is fine for a few hours, after that it's a bit of a grindy snooze. Post storyline content exists, but it has even more weaknesses. Ran into a few bugs, nothing game breaking, but things like achievement unlocks can sometimes be stubborn. In-game UI is plain to the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some surpiringly deep tactical stuff lies beneath (within?) the very cutesy shell of this game. Between the over a dozen player classes and the rediculous amount of monster units each with their own unique set of passive and active skills, there's a lot to do here. Despite some of the more... questionable units here and there, the art is pretty nice too. Additionally, the difficulty feels pretty good, allowing enough freedom that you can make do with a more ragtag party, but pitting you up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game engine is very minimal, the interface is poor at best, and there are random glitches like the inability to alt tab without freezing. But look past all of that - this is an excellent tactical game. I don't see myself getting tired of it any time soon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's adorable. It's tactical. What more could you ask for.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay issue Too much click to do anything example is Move 1. right click at your char 2. select move 3. select where to move 4. left click to confirm There still skill and summon etc. and when you relise that you need to do this to all of your characters :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is brutal. No, really. It's absolutely merciless. As heretical as it is to say, Moékuri is honestly shounen-like in its ability to top its own power ceiling over. And over. And over. And OVER. AND. OVER. Whether you're fighting a creature with the ability to consume its allies and gain their powers, consume YOUR allies and gain their powers, teleport anywhere on the board and control the flow of time, turn potentially the entire battlefield into an ocean, or just be flat-out immune…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moékuri is an indie doujin game with loads to offer besides cutesy eye candy. At the start of the game, you'll have to select one of 10 possible masters(Warrior, Mage, Archer, Necromancer etc.), each with their unique strengths and weaknesses. Your goal is quite simply to annihilate the enemy master, with the aid of kawaii girl minions that both of you may summon. If you've ever played and enjoyed grid-based tactics games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Duelyst or Wakfu, Moékuri should be right…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun moe strategy game from what I've seen so far. When you start the game, you'll be allowed to pick which class to start as. You won't be able to name your character. The game also keeps track of all your records, from how many deaths your party has, your max damage, to which class you've cleared the game with. The encyclopedia in game allows you to view the summoned unit's artwork, along with sampling their voices. Battles are sorted by Story Mode and Free Battle. When you start the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While on the surface this may seem like another shallow cutsey moe fanservice game, it really isn't... It's a cutsey moe fanservice game with a deceptive amount of depth. While it's by no means the deepest or hardest of SRPGs, certainly nothing on the level of a game like Tactics Ogre or most NIS SRPGs, it still has a lot of give. The most notable thing is your choice of class for the heroine heavily determines what sort of strategy you're going to be using, knights favor fragile high damage…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have to wonder why tactical battle games and monster collecting is such an uncommon combination, as it seems like a match made in heaven. Add in monster musume moe appeal, and you have a compelling concept for what I will charitably describe as “a particular demographic”. Unfortunately Moekuri’s presentation is frankly pretty awful, with low res assets and art alongside a clunky interface. The game doesn’t even have a quit button, surely a canary in the mine for any PC game (if running…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game, with lots of diversity and lots of abilities and skills to explore. Reminds me a little of phantom brave in the aspect you have to summon your creatures to the field. The biggest thing I love about this game is the sheer amount of diversity in tactics, strategy and choice. That's what I love, that's why I'm here. I like how you can choose your class and I like how you can choose between different types of summoning techniques. Very nice touches which add a lot to the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UPDATE: Yes, I've actually played 150 hours of this, and I still love it. The first thing I want to say is that I really wish there was a full artbook thing, with all the portrait and chibi/sprite art able to be viewed and enjoyed full-screen. That's something I'd pay extra for, especially if it was like Rabi-Ribi's, with the ability to choose the expressions, background, etc. for the characters where that was possible (i.e. Masters). Anyways, now that I've said that, the review for those…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm into weeb stuff but this is just another boring JRPG. Controls are horrible. All you do is click on jpeg images and the interface in general is awful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →locked into 800x600 resolution, which wasn't a problem for me but could be for others. other than that; Don't be fooled, this game is much more than just cute. It's also an incredibly competent and in-depth SRPG with a lot of content. I've played over 200 hours and still haven't finished the postgame. the game isn't easy, either. as for the grind other people complain of... well if you've ever played pokemon (pre exp-share changes), this is a lot less grindy than that.* That said, the last two…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The name speaks for it. The bonus mode(post game) is the real fun part, where the game becomes challenging, so just don't miss it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute? Yes. Tactical? Sure. Technically competent? Nope. The game is locked to run in 800X600 - top of the line circa 1992. And even though it's been out for a while, it's still loaded with many and various bugs, not to mention various obvious features that are missing... and sometimes both at once! The 'Full Screen' option was added after release, due to popular demand - or rather, popular "What the heck is the devs thinking?" But it isn't working at the moment, 'cuz of a bug. Bottom line...…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 this game i got from ordering on Kickstarter and its everything i imagined it would be. story is great. the tactical part of it is really addicting and it has me hooked. definately recommend this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Must catch all the Moe waifus. Can't stop playing. This game is actually very fun and polished. A great Tactial RPG with easy-to-understand mechanics but deep strategy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty simple. Personally I liked how there are multiple voice actors and artists to draw for each character. Game kind of reminds me of pokemon in a sense that you 'catch' beings/gods/monsters and raise them up in level. So I guess if someone wants a simpler Final Fantasy Tactics with extremely bright colors could try this. It's also not that overly expensive so yeah, I'd say go for it. Though I wouldn't recomend it if someone hates turn-based grid strategy and the such.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super cute game, and seems pretty fun. However, the graphics cannot be changed from 800x600. Even in "full screen" mode, its still 800x600 stretched to your display's native resolution.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's be clear here, on the surface Moekuri is a cheap SRPG with basic assets, controls, gameplay... If you're expecting something flashy like Disgaea you might be slightly disappointed. While it's a strategy RPG where you collect monsters (cute anime girls) a la Pokemon, you play as a summoner who is quite capable of dealing and taking damage. That'll come in handy, because your summoned monsters take time and MP to summon. And because your character starts off every round with limited MP, a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea, but awful realisation. TBS combat here really looks like as it is in deep, but clumsy controls kills all joy here. The art is really good, but with only resolution of 600x800 and no option to change, it looks awful on modern monitors. The menu bars and HUD navigation overall is wicked, e.g. there is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "quit" button. For real? Looks like they haven't do any testing before launching this game. And altrough i do like this game's concept, in fact i don't enjoy playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a great Tactical RPG (with lots of moé), look no further. I cleared the story mode after playing for pretty much 27 hours straight, that's how good it was. The story mode is quite challenging, if you avoid playing too many free battles, hence staying at the recommended level. (Btw, I played as a Necromancer, difficulty and playtime will most likely vary depending on class and playstyle). Choose between 10 starting classes with inherently different playstyles. After…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very cute game. Turn-based combat is pretty fun. Story is enjoyable in a lighthearted way. The art....who can resists Koi-sensei's art style? The game is well made even though it's a doujin game. I bought a japanese version of this game before and I gladly bought it again here for International version. Now I can finally understand the story. If you are here, chances are you are already interested in the game. Buy it and enjoy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Targeted at Japanese players? Anyway, it's an annoying TBS game with horrible controls and cheap graphics, with Japanese voice-overs and hard-to-learn rules. 3/10 Pros: - there seems to be a complex and deep battle system in there if you have the patience to learn it (judging from other reviews and the sheer size of the in-built game manual) So-so: - the anime graphics (chibi girls) - if you are a fan of Japanese pop culture it may be your cup of tea but if you're indifferent (like myself),…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an interesting and cute little SRPG. Basically, you collect little monsters to use to try and save the world after its fate somehow ends up in your cute, small hands. Oh, and to try and find your missing mother, too... Since the game has a universal file of what you have unlocked, there is endless replay value, and allows you to try some of the more advanced classes. Worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Clunky UI - No battle animations - No voice acting - Got it for $8 at sale but games worth ~$2 at best. Overall, 3/10. Refunding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ravioli Ravioli please don't sexualize the monster Lolis!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very fun. Those who've played Wakfu will have a better grasp at this game and the various mechanics. Definitely for those who enjoy tactics-type strategy games. TONS of different units, each very unique from one-another that enables for interesting team builds like deck building games such as 'Magic: The Gathering' or 'Yu-Gi-Oh'. To get new units for your collection, you enter random battles with wild creatures and weaken them to better your odds of capturing them, very much like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels very Disgaea, which is good Moe af Simple gameplay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's sooooooo Cuteee :3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute and funny creature collector tactics, type game. Also one that is surprisingly difficult.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moekuri: Adorable + Tactical SRPG has done an amazing job at bringing back and improving the classic tactical RPG experience Moekuri is a great turn-based tactics game that has a lot to offer. It is a tile-based game with 150+ unique creature characters that each have different movement styles, HP/Def/Attk levels, elements and attack patterns. There are 14 classes and every character can be leveled to reach different abilities. Most modes have a huge number of randomized maps that force the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gets a recommendation purely on the basis of just how deep the team building and tactical combat is. First, I had to do a Google search on the term "moe." That helped the game make a lot more sense. Basically, there's an all-female cast- not a single male character in the 170+ roster. This should already tip you off that the story itself makes little to no sense and is just an excuse to chain together the 25 main story chapters. This is hardly a visual novel; it takes about a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was unable to play the game, as it ONLY will run in 800x600, with no scaling options. I don't want to peer at a little tiny window.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game seems cute but it bugs out like crazy. It crashed so often on me when I tried to play it full screen, very very frustrating. The game itself seems okay though but its too irritating to keep trying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Infinite waifus
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moe rules the world~~!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It ABSOLUTELY is Tactical moving out of AOE range after casting a spell, I don't believe the enemy can go THRU one of yours so you can force them to take longer routes to you. The game has cuteness, fanservice (tasteful) sort of like Eternal Destiny (recommend as well).. Get it even if it is NOT on sale....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Final Fantasy Tactics meets Pokemon, if everyone was a waifu. Each unit has a particular set of skills and spells, with customizable loadouts based on player's choosing. Certain characters, especially those recruitable at the beginning, don't have that long of an available list, but they might have stats that make up for it. The main character also functions like a Fire Emblem lord, with skills and abilities of their own, but if they go down the fight is over. Strategies along the lines of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're interested in extremely deep "exception-based" mechanics with a huge number of diverse characters, abilities, powers, classes, and effects that you can combine in order to come up with clever tricks, this is the game for you. Don't be fooled by the cutesy graphics; the game's mechanics are extremely solid. (For those who are concerned about such things, the art and plot, while cutesty, is, as the name suggests, "moé" rather than aggressively sexualized; most of the art, outside of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great tactical RPG. Lots of diferent things to try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and simple, what i was expecting from this game. i've seen better but would still recommend this to pass time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game for those who like turn based games and like a wide variety of characters and classes the initial story is easy to beat as a healer with the right team and after beating the game u can unlock other characters in and play harder modes overall great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 'tactical' part of this game is no joke, the difficulty curve is steep. The main story gets pretty hard, but the post game is ridiculous, I love it. The hardest part of it is finding a strategy that works, you have limited resources and every action depletes them, so every move counts. The story isn't it's strong point, it's quick and to-the-point with not a whole lot of depth. I get the idea that this game was more focused around the battle mechanics and less the story, which is fine! A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →full-screen doesn't work and wtf is 800x600 in this time period. just try squinting to play this on a 4k monitor. although from the tutorial i see alot of generic but it would have been nice to at least try this out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game, but I can't recommend it because my saves keep getting deleted every time I take a break and come back to it later. And I made sure I saved my games too. It's fun to play, but not when you got to keep starting your game at the beginning.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a Japanese turn based tactical strategy game with light RPG elements. The game features a series of weeaboo friendly cutesy anime girls instead of summoned monsters/warriors etc that you would expect to see in this kind of game. Apart from the mountain of cutesy manga girls the graphics are very minimal. Resolution is fixed and can't be changed. While there's some depth to the gameplay it doesn't fit at all well with the game genre. What's next, FPS games with teddy bears? This…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute girls - Check Strategy - Check Depth - Check Fun - Check Possibilities - Endless
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unintersting story and setting. Really annoying UI and controls (no keyboard use). Small resolution. Beautiful character arts? No they look all the same in the battle screen, which is also frustrating. Sigh. Overall, much poor than what I expected from others' positive reviews.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The characters design reminds me "Is Order A Rabbit?" anime. But, the bad is. This game won't save and upscaled the resolution up to 1920x1080 (native) in fullscreen mode.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's an okay game. The story is actually worth reading past the first charter or two. Quite surprised me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This might seem boring at first and the story is not very interesting, with everyone picking a fight with protagonist for no apparent reason. But when you get to higher level, things get really tactical and interesting. Especially for more complicated classes, like Evoker or Necromancer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i'll be play more of this when i have free time its all the cure moe you can get <3 with some simple and good srpg
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Cute Game with surprisingly indepth gameplay Moekuri is a mixed bag of a game to recommend. Speaking freely, the gameplay is quite fun and I would argue it handles the 'Collect them all' gameplay fairly well. There's a myriad of ways to play and there's no one definitive way to win. It's not a perfect experience though, as the game lacks in several departments. Good Tactical Gameplay - It's a very in depth game with many bonus challenges in the post game, and even considering just the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
