57 of 57 · most liked firstThis is not really a do not recommend but im in the middle. but it just was not worth the money for me. All you do in the first few hours is make a catapult Then, when you think you're finally going to make something cool like 4 levels later, its just another type of catapult except weaker and crappier. The game does not have enough variety of things to make in the beginning that kinda got boring. The game play itself is not bad, which is why I am saying you may want to give it a chance, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Really enjoyed this game! It had a couple small things, but nothing that would make me stay away from it! Just finished up to the Castle with the Trebuchet, and have enjoyed it a lot! Viewers seemed to also enjoy it! So parts are a bit grindy, but that is that way with any simulator/builder game! Its super relaxing and fun and I hope to continue to see more added to it! Thanks to the Devs for all the work put in to creating this one!! (and for the key:-) )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its unfinished and abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played for a half hour and it didnt really pull me enough to want to keep playing but it could be someones fancy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun, relaxing simulator / builder game, but its also very limited. I beat the game and unlocked all it's achievements in 5.3 hours. I paid about $5.50 USD for it, so at a buck an hour I'm satisfied. There's a lot of potential here if the developer decides to keep working on this game. Currently the entire perspective is based on attacking / besieging, so if they wanted, the developer could maybe spin the game around by having a new campaign where you have to build fortifications…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont know why it "Upgrades" you to the Onager for the second missions. The Onager probably should be first, but the use of the siege machines is grand. I can now launch a 90kg projectile over 300m to devistate my enemies and awe my allies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems ok so far.. sound effects for smashing stuff could be better but no crazy bugs and relaxing gameplay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game where you build seige weapons then shoot them at castles. The point is to gather supplies (chop wood, mine and smelt ore), craft with the supplies, then you use these supplies and crafted supplies to slowly build various seige weapons. These seige weapons slowly get more and more complex. You are only building each seige weapon once. Then you use the seige weapons to destory castles. Typically destroying one or two towers is enough to have a notification that you are done the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game to relax with, as you watch a movie or something. Basic story to tie together the gameplay of building siege weaponry of various kinds, that slowly expands. At first, you're only chopping down trees to get wood, then you start mining for your own ore to smelt, and finally you're also crafting parts yourself. Everything is slow at first, but as you gain experience and levels, you level perks that speed up how fast you use your tools, or multiply the amount of resources you gain…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is fine... Mechanics are janky and the destruction of buildings feels sadly not really satisfying. There is very limited physics envolved. After 5 hours I generally finished the game. Now all I could do is build siege engines in a free mode. Here I realized, that the stacking of ressources is a buggy mess. As you get 999 ressource stacks, but if you use something, it explodes into smaller stacks inside you inventory. Making the whole thing a mess and annoying to handle.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing simulator game where you chop trees and build siege machines. You build them in a couple of stages and use them in around 2-3 more. It is slow paced and relaxing. I really wished we had in the siege levels options to choose which machines to use and maybe some scoring system to get you to try getting the fastest destruction strategy. For the current value you get around 5 hours of main campaign stage. Overall a nice quick game that was in the end worth it's price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will change my review to positive when the achievement issue is fixed :) Edit: I'm keeping my word, thanks for the update!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is good. its fun and cool. your prb wondering why i did a neg review then. well the game is very buggy like at one point when i was building the ballista i got stuck a tiny bit then i got out and i suddenly can fly?!?! like what the ♥♥♥♥ also there was another one witch i forgot but for its price it needs more content and less bugs (btw i got this when it was 17$) and the story feels a lack of cinimatics. i know it may not fit the game but just SOMETHING would be nice right now its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Achievements are broken. No response from dev. Dead game NO UNITY SECURITY PATCH DO NOT PLAY
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what's been done to the game but it is no longer playable. I can construct and do that stuff just fine, but once you get to the catapult it's useless. In the demo you'll see a trajectory line when you adjust distance and rotate. However, here, it's replaced with a reticle. I think the reticle works better, but...the game isn't operating as it should. So you can rotate the reticle, but when you try to adjust distance: nothing. The reticle is off to the right and doesn't move no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's ok, but very short with little variation
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy medieval siege engines and simulator games then this is a game for you. A very fun and fairly simple game, can currently complete it within a few hours though. Being in early access I am keen to see what else is planned for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved this game, completed the campaign already and i hope more levels and war machines be come with updates soon
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →need alot more work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Recommend This Game Gameplay: https://youtu.be/HYx74s6_-lk
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the building is awful and linear. the shooting feels cheap. nothing influance the other
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, it tickles that itch I've had for this type of gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad game with potential, however quite slow and boring preparation part for me (building) before getting to part of destroying objects
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't believe how much fun I'm having just by basically hitting rocks and trees.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hi, i liked the game, but i have been soft locked on the last level, i can't reach nails four because a section highlights in front of them and it needs leather to complete. I think a guard gives me leather once the nails are in, but there's nothing i can do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Medieval Machines Builder is a construction and simulation game built around one of the more fascinating aspects of medieval warfare: the engineering behind siege weapons. Instead of placing the player in command of an army or managing an entire kingdom, it focuses on the craftsmen responsible for creating the machines capable of bringing fortified defenses crashing down. Developed by FreeMind S.A. and Solverto and published by PlayWay S.A. and FreeMind S.A., the game combines resource…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very enjoyable game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent game, at least 6 hours of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I spent around 10 hours beating the story and I gotta say although it is grindy its very entertaining and makes you really grind for your rewards, levelling up is easy and gets progressively harder and i cannot wait for the new update age of engineers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game. Recent fixes and attention by the devs have poored more life into it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Relaxing and really itches the engineer in me. Buy on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this game you get to build medieval siege machines. But before that, you have to cut down trees and then make plans. And go into nearby mine and find iron ore and coal. And with few turns in between, make metal parts. And have to get some rope too. When machine is finally ready, you actually get to use it! Shoot enemy buildings with best ammo available. This part was tons of fun, and weapons handle nicely. Building gradually break down somewhat realistically. Only thing missing is change…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tooooo slow progression
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have played this game since i got it and i love it, i have already completed the game and gotten all of the achievements, i wish there was more to this game and i hope for the developers to add more to this game in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun, I enjoy the resource gathering! A little short though. But more than worth the 12.00 price tag!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game was fine if it bas bought with big discount, i done this in one breath, but I felt scammed when after that, I went to the game page, where they show you in gifs gameplay that is not actually in the game, maybe they promised it, but the developers haven't made any updates since the release, think for yourself
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fine, there's a nice little story intro at the beginning of each mission. There's a tiny bit of text-based story-telling via talking to a knight once every couple of missions. The resource gathering is decent The issues I have with the game is we follow machine designs step by step instead of designing our own, following a blueprint like we would follow Lego instructions. We're a siege machine builder indeed, not a siege machine designer The levels look nice and the game plays…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun and simple, wish it was longer and had more levels, had a few flaws or missing details on the machines, but otherwise was great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game and detail, I hope the production team will make more maps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice Game without Timepressure,. makes for a nice relaxing time after work. Its nice to see the machine Growing. Maybe bring back the old Sidemissions from the first Demo (Soup run)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent well worth the buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Medieval Machines Builder has totally pulled me in! It’s so satisfying to figure out how to put together these old-school machines and see them actually work. The game feels realistic without being overly complicated, and I love the little details in the graphics—they really nail the medieval vibe. Each project is a new challenge, but it's super rewarding once everything clicks. Honestly, if you’re into building and history, this game is a hidden gem!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this game for a little over 6 hours. And so far I've enjoyed it but I have had some issues with the game. For example I made iron bars and I'm unable to pick them up so therefore I'm stuck in the game w/out the iron bars. There are times when I'm mining that I cant pick up my coal or iron that I mined. I don't know if I'm the only person with this problem so I'm going to delete my saved game and start over hoping that takes care of the problems I've been having. I do recommend this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fin game, I hope it comes out with a new map to go explore and hunt down more enemies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR -Has/Had potential to be so much more. Its a fine game, you get about 5ish hours of campaign (if your taking your time) and i pray the devs dont leave us hanging. Worth a buy...mostly This truly is one of, if not THE GAME that I wish steam have a "like/dislike" button Its a beautiful game, with a great concept and SO SO much potential. However. If you look at the cinematic announcement trailer (provided the devs leave it up) This game was set to be somthing so much more. I enjoyed the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this a good spin at almost 5 hours and in the end I thought this is fine for what it is. It reminded me of Castle Siege, an old browser flash game I played as a kid. The concept of building and using your siege engines is very neat and overall a great idea for a niche sim game. I will say though that my experience felt very bare bones and the gamplay loop started to feel very repetitive after an hour. The building process is not overly involving gameplay wise, neither is the crafting.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little game. I really enjoy building games, and the fact that you farm your own resources, and there are aspects of leveling to make it less grindy is perfect. Then you get to use them to destroy stuff at your own pace and in your own ways, is perfect. Some bugs, I had a weird one where it seemed like a controller was connected (despite this not being the case) and constantly scrolling up, and frame rate issues on the mission building the trebuchet, but nothing game breaking. Although…

My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In this episode I check out one of the best simulation games ive played this year with Medieval Machines Builder. This game was developed by Solverto and published by Playway SA, who have released several other games ive covered including WW2 Rebuilder and the Farmers Life series. Medieval Machines Builder takes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty interesting game I must say. I do like the concept of it, but there is a lot of work to be done to it. Graphics are all right, building system is ok (feels like I am playing The Forest), movement and animations feel a bit cheap. Overall it is an amazing game, but needs more work. 7/10 I made a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qssu8JFvH_M
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see great potential for this game. The siege construction was well thought out. The physics are decent and the gameplay is smooth. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea of game. No need to be too fast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its quite relaxing to smash things with trebuchet
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had fun playing it. Only had issues building the last siege weapon. I Hoping for more to do I will have to keep watching for updates. It was a little short but I think it was still worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has an interesting game play loop, build a siege engine, then use that to destroy something, then do a few follow up missions using the machine you already built to cause more havoc. So far there is the Catapult, the Onager, the Ballista, and the Trebuchet that you get to destroy things with, you also build a Battering Ram that is sent to the front lines for the troops to use since you are too valuable. I hope as early access continues there are more missions that come out and more siege…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im very confused... the game doenst give me any quests , i cant talk to NPCs and i cant even see the words of the settings when i hit ESCAPE. like its all empty. my pc is really good too so i know its not a problem in my pc. its really weird. i tried to restart 3 times but nothing got fixed.. i will wait for a little longer and purchase this game again for sure! i waitied so long for this game to release. i love this type of games!
