30 of 30 · most liked first4 hours will unlock everything & complete all maps. No new game plus, no game modes. Nice visuals. Needs FAR more content to be considered worth buying. Doesn't feel optimised either, as my GPU fan screams after a short play. Buyers regret - not good value for money. Just feels like an early beta - incomplete.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful, well themed, very incomplete mess. Buggy as heck, extremely limited options, 1 map, no weapons, and maybe a total of 10 different passives. This shouldn't have made it to Early Access. This is a pre-alpha tech demo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We're joining the Steam Indie Assemble event (May 5–11)! -Rogue Samurai is on sale now! -A Game About Penguins is still in development but waddling your way soon. Two wildly different games. One passionate indie team. #indieassemble #indiegames #gamedev
unlabelledView post →Trash. Bad sound, sloppy controls, controller integration poor, generally way to early. Promising tech demo, nothing more. Wait.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Less than the base level of Vampire Survivors on a single run: 5 weapons at a time, no mini-bosses, no chests, no pickups at all, no exploration on square maps, lack of any feeling of events in the swarms other than "new enemy type added". Skill power up purchases seem limited and confusing. Generic presentation beyond the "Samurai" with no flair. Lack of care in little details, like: Maximum health powerups that don't seem to give health when the player can't pickup health and the player…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an another Vampire Survivors like game. But because of its theme and graphical quality it differs from the other ones. It's a cheap game that's why I'm not gonna criticize harshly but devs need to develop further until the full release. Especially they have to add new content. +Cool Graphics +Fun Gameplay -Lack of content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game looks good, for the type, but its the most basic of the "survivors" game, very shallow and dull with nothing special. it seems to me they are selling it because "samurai"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like a tech demo, suprised it's not early access. There are some really flashy fun skills like a giant hand falling from the sky. Unfortunately there's not a lot of content, and the game it unoptimized and not very fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game. definitely recommend buying it, even if it was around $10.00. developers this is for you to do what you will with: the buttons for leveling up and unlocking say, the 4 shurikens, are incorrectly labeled. hitting B has you getting the stuff thats labeled for X. pretty easy fix, but you must have been tired or something to have it BACKWARDS. im not sure how to beat the levels the "right way" in order to unlock the next levels. no matter how much i beat the first gate, nothing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GAME IS BROKEN. Do Not Recommend! On April 22, 2025 the developer announced they are no longer updating Rogue Samurai. All Events > Rogue Samurai: Prologue Events > IMPORTANT UPDATE ON ROGUE SAMURAI – THANK YOU FOR THE JOURNEY! All Events > Rogue Samurai Events > IMPORTANT UPDATE ON ROGUE SAMURAI – THANK YOU FOR THE JOURNEY! First launch crashed my PC. After a clean restart, every attempt shows a Samurai splash that flickers like a strobe and never reaches gameplay. Alt+Tab pauses it;…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a well experience for me. I have just enjoyed from the flow of the combat; it is nor hard or easy like a well cooked dinner. I loved the theme so much. Of course there is plenty things to add to the game. I believe that the developers gonna do wonderful things for this game if they think more upon the game as the game is played and by listening the community. SHARPEN YOUR BLADE SAMURAI!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm very interested in the game. There are some shortcomings. These are; -The new map, -New characters -Diversity These should be added but we should not forget that the game is in early access. I think all the problems will be fixed in the full version and it will have a better gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Met the young developers in an indie game fair about a year ago. They have sent me copy of the game once they released it. It seems like they really improved the game quite a lot since then. The game lacks some polish here and there but its still quite a lot of fun. Even though it looks like they have stopped the development for financial reasons, the game still has quite a lot of content for its price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fell like tech demo, with powered up everything on pc, some achivements are broken forever, idk how i got some of them even, cause text not achivement. Or worse, didn't get achivement cause dev used another trigger. The game is like even bullet-hell with a lot of "meat" that speed up for every 15 minutes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like that i had $5 before i got this game..... Wish i had $5 now
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The short answer, yes, it's worth picking up. But it certainly has its flaws. Pros: The music is fantastic. The graphics are decent enough. The core game-play is satisfying enough. I love the shuriken ability. I'm a big fan of any skill that rotates around my character in these types of games. And it has short levels, at 15 minutes a piece. Cons: It's pretty bare-bones when compared to other titles in the genre. I'm not a big fan of the majority of abilities in the game. There's no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Rogue Samurai" offers an intense and immersive roguelite action experience. Battling waves of enemies as a legendary samurai truly tested my reflexes and strategic thinking skills. The game's graphics and atmosphere are captivating, with maps filled with numerous secrets and challenges to uncover. The development team's responsiveness to player feedback and continuous updates enhance the overall gaming experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates the samurai theme and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprised how fast this game went from humble beginnings to early access. They've made a lot of improvements to it in a short time. Really good looking game, especially cranked up. Might be the best looking survivors game I've seen so far. Still needs a little bit of tweaking but all the major pieces are there, like progression. Definitely will be playing it more this weekend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun gameplay and cool graphics are highlights about this game, though more content is needed. Excited for the full version and hoping for regular updates. Combat's smooth, and the theme's great, but there's room to grow. Even with similarities to other games, the visuals and price make it stand out. Looking forward to new maps, characters, and more diversity. Overall, a promising game with potential for to be great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rogue Samurai is an action roguelite that combines the thrill of fast-paced hack-and-slash combat with the highly replayable progression systems that have become a staple of the genre. Developed and published by CO's Entertainment, the game places players in the role of a lone samurai facing relentless hordes of enemies across dangerous battlegrounds inspired by Japanese history and folklore. Rather than focusing on a complex narrative, the game prioritizes satisfying combat, continuous…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The skill/ability variety is great, but that's the only good thing about this game. Everything else is so lackluster especially the meta-progression. I bought this for $1.50 and I still feel like I didn't get my money's worth, this game feels like shovelware when compared to other survivors-like games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead game. Dev statement: "Due to tough economic conditions facing our studio, we’ve had to shift our focus to new projects."
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No. The resolution settings still hasn't been fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →doesn't look like finished product. good early access but definitely not the 1.0! so many things can be done, but for some reason developer\team gas out

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is buggy as all hell the ability effects stop appearing after a while so its hard to tell just how buggy it is
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's early access so there's time for it to Iron out the kinks before release (if it happens) Played on my handheld PC AokZoe A1pro Pros: 1. I like how you can change the camera views. Putting the camera low felt like I was playing a hack n slash vampire survivor (VS) game. 2. Style, I just like the japanese/Chinese style of VS 3. Cool (effects) upgrades. Except the dragon, why is it a European dragon and not an ancient Asian dragon? Cons: 1. Bugs, lots of them. I had two playthroughs that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think Early Access is definitely in need of some optimization, but the game's promising. Aside from optimization issues there are also some odd UI choices. Needing to press enter on the keyboard instead of just clicking on options is an odd choice, and hopefully is changed as time goes on. If you've played any Vampire Survivors style game in the last few years, Rogue Samurai will feel pretty familiar. You start with a Katana and later you'll unlock a Bow and Naginata you can use. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun game! The only issue is there's just not a lot of content at the moment in early alpha. Completed all the levels and unlocked everything within 2 hours. Looking forward to more updates!
