And here I am, music is playing, I stand in the middle, two people at the sides…. What am I supposed to do?! Well, a dancing game, right? On the upper side there is a balancing line, so I started just “dancing” to the left and right in the rhythm of the music, without touching those guys (you don’t want to push other people while dancing, do you?). But this didn’t lead to anything.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masky is unusual—both in art style and in gameplay. It’s a casual arcade style game with music that is reminiscent of the retro 80’s synthesizers in which you add people to your sideways conga line and maintain your human chain’s balance by moving left and right. A video is worth a thousand words: https://youtu.be/1bre10yPRqQ .Gameplay. The object of Masky is to collect as many masks as you can without toppling over. You do so by walking to the left and right side of the screen and linking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanna dance without having to get up? Or infect others with the rhythm? Masky brings it in with being a balance dancing game as you collect more and mor people to bring up your score. Gameplay Although Masky describes it as a dancing game, I'd take it as more of a balancing game. With the simple balancing mechanics that anyone can easily pick up without a tutorial. However, with it being advertised as a dancing game, it can easily be misinterpreted to a dancing game rather than what the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hypnotic and rhythmic (and mystical!) game. Visually I love it. The mechanics are quite easy and the evolution of the levels is mainly focused on increasing the difficulty on the same base. In any case it is very entertaining, and ends up hooking you to see if you achieve one more level. I've never tried it playing online with other people, but alone it's fun enough. Un juego hipnótico y rítmico (¡y místico!). Visualmente me encanta. La mecánica no tiene mucho misterio y la evolución de…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The store page description goes on about dancing so I was expecting a music/rhythm game but it's not that at all. Essentially it's moving left/right to keep your balance, which doesn't sound very appealing but actually there's a lot of skill and challenge to it. I'm finding it quite addictive. Gameplay There's no tutorial or instructions whatsoever, you just jump in and pick it up as you go along. At first I thought it was a dancing game so I was just standing there dancing (and losing) like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They might as well have had the game's characters holding beers. This game has no fun value at all. Just a balancing game on how steady you can keep characters from falling over. I like some games that require you to use agility of your thumbs but this is ridiculous! 4/10 [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45905648-Gork%2527s-Game-Grind/]Check out my curated list of games
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Potential party game for the price of a 99¢ meal deal Both soothing and frustrating, and incredibly simplistic, Masky is unique for what it is. My boyfriend said that, on paper, this game probably looked so basic and silly, it's a wonder it got created. It's a game of balance, with random occurrences thrown in every now and then to screw with you, depending on what mask-wearing peeps you tag with. The graphics and music are terrific, and the mechanics are smooth. What's really great about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this game if you like 100% achievement completion: the 2 multiplayer achievements are almost unobtainale. The game itself is good for the first 10 minutes. Then it becomes boring for the rest of its existence. The artwork is interesting, the music and the atmosphere enjoyably bizzarre.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for 5 minutes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit: If anyone wants to play together to try to get the multiplayer achievements, just send me a message. Thanks. - I regret not playing it immediately after I bought it - so I could still request a refund. In about 5-10 minutes you'll have done everything the game has to offer. It's nothing more than a balancing game. You'll probably play (a lot) more for the achievements though - and you won't even be able to get the multiplayer ones. Cute characters, bad soundtrack and repetitive…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masky is an extremely minimalist bit of low quality console ported shovelware. It's a very simple "see-saw" balancing game where you stand in a 2D side view room with a bunch of other people all neatly spaced out. You wear a mask. You can wobble left or right, being careful to maintain your balance or your mask falls off. You can move into other people and they also put a mask on, and you are "stuck" to them. People on the left will drag you to the left, people on the right will drag you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly this is amazingly fun! You have to move the middle masked guy to the left and right dancers so they join your long conga type line. Every time you add another dancer the balance shifts and you have to do your best to keep them all balanced. Every now and then certain events happen, the screen will turn up side down, or the line gets cut in half. This keeps the game interesting. Also really fun as a party game with the multiplayer options! I like the minimalistig line…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun for a little bit. It's just a balancing act. All you do is keep the bar centered. If it goes to far to the left or the right all of the dancers fall over and you lose. I had fun for like an hour. It's worth the $.50 I paid for it, but probably not much more than that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Party Game .. Looks like it should be stupid ...it is!!! Stupid FUN!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh, it's a time waister. Better with a couple of mates round. Just a balance game. You can get this in a pack of games. Which are all pretty cool and worth the price. Get the pack and get a discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little casual game. Cool art style, and bizarro music. Worth the buck it costs! 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even for a dollar it's just...boring. There's no sort of progression in the game play, just the same thing over and over. You balance by moving left or right picking up more people. Having more people on one side will make you lean towards the other side and so on. That's pretty much it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a peculiar game. Your goal here is to to try to connect with as many other people(NPCs) as possible, while maintaining a balance that doesn't result in you tipping over. You've seen pretty much all there is to see within the first 10-15 minutes of the game. I found it to be a bit shallow, lacking any real depth. Each level results in a some experience which will open up new levels to play. The new levels are just new music from what I saw, and that doesn't add anything to the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Others have said it's a glorified balance meter and that's fairly accurate. Some of the levels have complicating effects, like being upside down, or tilted, but overall it's a matter of trying to balance your line of dancers against the people you pick up, who have various pull-strength against the group. That said, it's addicting (and sometimes infuriating), and with its cute style and quirky music it's a fun little casual time-waster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just watching a balance bar for 1 dollar.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah I have a buddy who really wants Hoodie and Masky in the game. If it's a bit of both I could also see them throwing in Kate the Chaser, but to be honest I think it's probably just Slenderman.
unlabelledView post →In saying that, it's important to note that I've heard that character's key art drawn aren't all perfectly translated to their in-game model. I can't remember one example of this off the top of my head, though. I'm guessing Masky was going off the character key art? But that's just my guess.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impressions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgZKHRgFRrM&feature=youtu.be So I saw this game earlier this year and bought it and I've just been waiting for a moment where I wanted to play a silly game. Masky is perfect if you ask me. It's crazy, has awesome music and the visuals really stick out to me. I've always loved bright colours on stark black background, in fact a lot of my artwork is like that. So yeah, this game seems like it was made for me because of the colour design and its…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really a rhythm game so much as a balancing game in party clothes. Grab dancers from both sides, keep the whole chain upright, and deal with masks that shake or flip the screen. The idea is simple and gets repetitive, but it works well for short score-chasing runs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun enough. It is just a simple balancing game, so don't expect too much. The Train is my favorite zone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masky is a deceptively simple indie title that transforms a single mechanical idea into a tense, rhythmic, and surprisingly strategic experience. Developed by Digital Melody and published by Forever Entertainment S. A., the game places players in the middle of an elegant masked ball and asks them to do one thing: keep their balance. What initially appears to be a lighthearted, almost whimsical concept quickly reveals itself as a game about control, anticipation, and adapting to escalating…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the art of the game, but the gameplay not so much since it's a bit difficult, especially when you get the "Blind mask" effect. Honestly, I thought it was a bug, not a feature of the game lol. Although I only played for a short time, I still found it enjoyable.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. WOW. What a cool little game. Just one little, interesting idea, and they've put such soul into it. I just love what this publisher puts out, and what this developer has made. Such tight music, the rhythm is perfect with the meter, and where another developer might have just put whatever song they felt like in there, the devs went the extra mile and incorporated it into the gameplay. It's a dollar, so don't expect a ton of variety, but it does have cool new worlds to see and different…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I couldn't stand much about this game. The controls suck, the music is bleh. The art is meh. The mechanics are pleh. It's a balancing game. Heavier people are going to weigh more and there are some masks that attempt to throw you but don't really do much. For a dollar? Meh. Why not if you like casual. Too casual for me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's not much I can say about this game. It's an arcade-style game but unlike others that I own, it doesn't get boring quickly. I love playing this with friends and, though I wish there was an option to play without the computer players, the bots aren't too powerful that they can't be beaten. I've never seen or played a game like this and I love it. I will say that the multiplayer game is more fun than singleplayer, but either way it's a refreshing take on an arcade game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An extremely simplistic balancing game with no tutrotial. That being said, it is oddly addiciting. By playing, you can unlock more masks which give you a different song to listen while you balance your way into forming the largest dance group. Some masks up the difficulty and make it harder to balance as well. Overall it is a $1 game and it is well worth the pricetag. I wouldn't pay more that $5 for it due to how simplistic the game play is. But it is addicting and I keep feeling like I can get…
